Local cómodo tanto en barra como en mesa. Personal amable y servicio muy ágil. Los pintxos, probamos varios y buenísimos. Los calamares muy originales, enrollados en bacon muy ricos. Croquetas cremosas y con jamón visible. Un acierto total.

Para de tapa en la Cava Baja estupenda. Pedimos el pincho de Cariñera y está exquisito la verdad. Tienen cañas muy bien tiradas y un ambiente muy agradable en el interior. Muy recomendable!

Lo mejor de Cava Baja, una experiencia gastronómica como pocas en Madrid. Imperdibles croquetas de jamón y de boletos. Pero los fardos de calamar se llevaron la noche, lo mejor que he comido en la ciudad.

Casa Lucas, en la Cava Baja, está en mi top de Madrid. Local pequeño y sencillo, pero con pintxos y platos realmente espectaculares: producto bien tratado, sabores muy redondos y una barra que siempre apetece repetir. Gran selección de vinos, con opciones para distintos gustos. Y el servicio, de diez: camareros cercanos, simpáticos y muy profesionales. Muy recomendable. Comida muy elaborada, muy rica, nos hubiéramos pedido más platos pero era demasiado. El vino o que nos recomendaron, uno blanco y uno tinto, eran justo lo que buscábamos. Recomendable y para repetir

Casa Lucas is for me a must when in Madrid. Outstanding food that blends perfectly chosen high quality ingredients with an impressive outcome. This is the only review I leave on a 10 day trip to Spain. I had the tomatoes an goat cheese salad, the smoked sardines and the ox tail. All three are outstanding and highly recommend. I wanted to try the Foi, but had no space left. I've been two times to Madrid this year and this is my go to. I cook a lot and I appreciate a well made dish. Trust me on this one. You will enjoy it.

During our trip in Spain, we swung by this restaurant on a whim and it was excellent! It was so good, that we made adjustments to our plans to make it a second time. The Ox Tail, Calamari, Croquettes, and Rabo te Toro were incredibly delicious and the wine they served was also very tasty. This was by far our favorite stop in Madrid. A must-go-to! Very nice staff as well!

Amazing place with some of the finest food I've had in Madrid! They open at 8pm and reservations are very much recommended. Their most popular dish is the calamari with bacon and mousse ink which the staff would prepare as they serve it. We also had the foie gras which was generous and the blood sausage tapas they were was delicious, , The atmosphere was nice although can get crowded. Staff are nice and friendly and provided tapas with the drinks. Supposedly their menu had not changed since it opened. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend this small bar/restaurant. The food was excellent as was the service. When ordering an alcoholic beverage we received, free of charge, pajamas braves. We then had the Calamari Casa Lucas which was Squid bundles with bacon and squid ink mousse (half portions available). When it comes the server cuts up the fried squid and mixed it all together with the mousse. Amazing. Then we had a half portion of the Bulls tail balls, to die for. Tripe stew...was ok. And a half order of croquettes with stick fries, they were ok. Would I go back? Absolutely 💯. Two days later we are back. To start they gave us, it looks like, the Russian salad. Of course we had the Fried Calamari with squid in mouse and the ox tail. Thank you #jamesblick

Absolutely loved this place. Croquets, ratatoille, chicken and pork tapas were so delicious. Had to have a temperanillo with it and they also chise an excellent one. Place is small and busy so have to be patient but definitely worth it.

This is a vibey wee gem that is clearly loved by locals as much as it finds its way on to “recommended” lists for tourists. It’s a small place, and its popularity means that you might have to wait for a table, but it’ll be worth it. All the menu boards are in Spanish, but there’s a QR code to scan for the English version of the menu. The tapas sizes are a bit bigger than average; it’s traditional Madrid fare done with care and it’s absolutely delicious. The wine options are excellent and equally delicious. This is also a great place to indulge in some vermouth. Zaddy Lucas, as I decided to call the guy behind the bar who I assumed was the owner / manager, looked after us with a firm but gentle hand. No English was exchanged, but we understood, and he took care of us. I was left feeling like the last thing I’d ever want to do was disappoint Zaddy Lucas 😂 This was one of our favourite Madrid tapas experiences, so definitely hit it up.

A friendly and authentic tapas bar, busy with local clientele. A great range of traditional tapas, along with some more unique choices. Great service, with the bartender advising us not to get too carried away ordering loads of dishes as the portions will soon fill you up.

The Callos a la madrileña was absolutely devine (and also kind of cheap, if you consider in most restaurant it's over 20 euros, while this one was 17,50!)! I cannot recommend it enough. The stew is so rich, but not heavy at all! It was my first time trying it, so I can't really judge objectively, but it was definitely the best dish I've had in Madrid. The waiter was also really nice and attentive. It's a shame they don't serve desserts, considering the quality of the food I ate, it would have only been the cherry on top 😓

I headed to this area specifically for dinner, and found Casa Lucas had a great Google score, so chose to eat here. Wow, so glad I experienced Casa Lucas. It’s a lovely venue with nice atmosphere and attentive staff, with English speakers among them, which as a tourist was great. I sat at the bar, enjoyed a nice Rioja red and my first Vermut, which was great. For my main, I had the braised Oxtail, which was melt in your mouth delicious. The sauces with this dish complimented it perfectly. Yum!! I highly recommend Casa Lucas.

Muy buen sabor de las raciones. Servicio amable y rápido. Ambiente tranquilo sin bullicio. La música de fondo perfectă (soul, jazz, ballade française). Me hubiera gustado vino de toro por copa pero solo hay por botella. La preparación de platos es fantástica. Lo recomiendo en la Cava Baja.

La carta es muy interesante y todo lo que probamos nos encantó. Me gustó sobre todo el plato de pasta negra con marisco y verduras al curry, con mucho sabor y muy original. Los pinchos se sirven con dos porciones, y hay que tener cuidado a la hora de pedir, ya que no lo pone en la carta.

La comida nos gustó bastante. Las croquetas fueron cremosas, los fardos en su punto pero creo que al pedir la porción más pequeña han puesto la tinta como para una ración entera y fue demasiado. Los canelones bien pero uno tenía más verdura y el otro más gambas. El rabo de toro suavecito y rico. Hay camareros nuevos y son un poco lentos y la chica no pone mucha atención a lo que le estás diciendo pero seguramente están aprendiendo y poco a poco irán mejorando.

Uno de los pocos espacios que siguen manteniendo su esencia y calidad ante el turisteo. Los pinchos son espectaculares así como la carta de vinos. Por ponerse fino, quizá echamos en falta mejor recomendación con el vino pero muy recomendable. En especial el pincho o Madrid y el de sardinas.

I've been going to this restaurant when I have visitors for more than 5 years already. Their rabo de toro is their best dish, the calamari not bad either. But the rest I tried were not well done nor worth to order. Especially this last time the croquetas were small, had soaked the oil. The creamy rice was almost like a soup and with bad taste. I recommend it for their rabo de toro and wine. I wouldn't expect much from the rest of the dishes. The service is fine.
