El Pezcador es una encantadora taberna tradicional ubicada en pleno centro de Madrid, ideal para quienes disfrutan del tapeo auténtico. La atención es excelente, con un personal amable y rápido que hace que te sientas como en casa. Entre sus especialidades destacan los pimientos de padrón, sabrosos y en su punto justo de sal, y las croquetas de jamón, cremosas por dentro y crujientes por fuera, una auténtica delicia. El ambiente es cálido y acogedor, perfecto tanto para una comida informal como para una cena entre amigos. Sin duda, un sitio para repetir una y mil veces .

Prima comida en Madrid. ¡Probé el Lacón a la Gallega y me fascinó! Estuvo delicioso. Buen ambiente y quienes atienden son muy amables. Regresaré a probar el pulpo y otros platillos.

La mejor cena que tuve en Madrid fui aquí. Rica, abundante, española y a un muy buen precio comparando la locura de precios que maneja la ciudad. El servicio del camarero fue de 10. A mi abuelo de 90 años y a mi nos encantó. Volveremos y recomendaremos

Comida casera estupenda, como la de antes, lugar acogedor, eso sí,los baños recuerdan en cuanto a limpieza a un tugururio a las tres de la mañana, hay q cuidarlos un poco más aunque haya gente muy cer... y si no vas a pedir comida en la mesa no te sacan ni un aperitivo , solo te lo sacan para que esperes las raciones. Tal vez en la barra sí, pero en esa barrita tan estrecha cabe sólo un juguete de lego y apurando tal vez su pareja.

Very tasty! And the portions are huge) so ask before you order to make sure you can handle the portion alone)) for 2 people 1 portion is great to share! The atmosphere is great, the food is tasty and fresh! The staff is too nice and hospitable! We had and breakfast and dinner here and both times we were very happy with everything here. The placement is very close to Gran Via or Sol! If you are in the center you should try this place for sure! Loved this place!

This tasca is a rare find! Madrid, like most cities that receive massive tourism, in particular from the US, have caved in to Hamburgers, tacos, and lots of very good french fries. El Pezcador is true blue Spanish fare at very reasonable prices and good service. Eonderful octopus, and very generous servingd of iberian pork, in itself a great treat

Wonderful food and drinks! The service is perfect. The waiters are very friendly and know how to recommend great things. I recommend the fried squid, Alhambra beer, and for dessert, the homemade tiramisu which is SO GOOD!

None of the servers really spoke English, but they were friendly and attentive. They saw us with suitcases and asked if we were in a hurry because the fried dishes would take time. The atmosphere was down to earth. The portions were huge. Very good prices for their portions.

This place turned out a complete surprise for me. It was a recommendation from friends, and turned out to exceed all my expectations. The food was 10/10 , the quality, the quantity, the taste ... everything. You just need to be sure not to over order as the portion is very big. If you are in Madrid, you have to try this place

Small little spot in the lively neighbor we stayed in. You know it’s good local spot when it’s off the side street, no one speaks English and the place is packed. Got seated right away by a server who was busting his butt as the only server. We ordered and got our food fast! Very unusual as service our entire time in Spain has been super slow. Sangria was great and everything was just so cheap but good. We ordered the patatas bravas, sausage and meatballs. For tapas, this place had huge portions! Wish we came here hungrier as I would have loved to try the steak as a lot of tables around got it.

Absolutely perfect orejas! Cooked/fried crispy but not dry, the parts that should be chewy are chewy and they are spiced just correctly. Lovely service as well, felt very familiar.

After our long walk in the Retiro Park, we ended up by chance to this amazing little busy lively bar restaurant where we had the best scallops ever. Smaller but more fruity borderline sweet with lots of garlic and herbs. Finger licking good! Followed by ham cooked on the bone. Plus a bottle of water and some red wine. We had a fantastic late lunch! Shame we didn’t have the time to come back to try the rest of the menu. Look at the menu and you’ll wish teleportation existed.

My wife is from Madrid. This is one of our favorite places to eat when we are around the centro. The food is great, with large portions. The tapas are huge and endless. The service is friendly with a smile. Pulpo, calamar, pimentos de padron, sepia... it's all great.

Love this place. It introduced me to Padron Peppers and smoked tender Octopus (Pulpo a la Gallega) a few years back. Today was introduced to Zamburiñas a la plancha (sweet young scallops). Every entry I try does not disappoint. Dishes are huge so come hungry. Ate both in the afternoon and late at night. Service is great.

I really liked this place - cozy, full of lively locals talking and laughing loudly - it just seemed so authentic! The waiters were very friendly and we got a huge portion of meat and salads for two people with a free starter (picture included) for just 25 EUR! I would definitely visit again!

I came in early, 730 on a Thursday. It was empty and service was good. I wanted the pulpo but the waiter recommended I order the steak shoulder. The portions were huge! See pic. The potatoes were delicious, the meat was good quality and tender. It was ta commended by a local friend. It’s basic and unpretentious. Good meal if you just want a meal. Lacks any atmosphere, but the location is great and there’s plenty to do around it.

Great little unpretentious place. Been in half a dozen times over the years. Last in September 2019 & looking forward to visiting again next week when in Madrid for the football

Visited for some drinks early evening, place was empty but it filled up quickly. The service was ok and the tapa that came with the drinks quite acceptable with a mix of things. We didn't eat there but the food from other tables looked pretty good and prices seemed reasonable on the menu. Good place for a local bar experience

El lugar es de locales, el menú es amplio y costos económicos, los platos son abundantes y de buen sabor. El servicio es muy malo, te presionan para que hagas el pedido, además nos ofrecieron pan y aceite el cual fue facturado y nadie nos dijo. Cuando se nos ofreció pan lo pusieron en la mesa, sin un plato o servilleta.... solicitamos que nos colocaran en otra mesa, lo hicieron pero una vez sentados en la mesa con individuales nuevos, nos los cambiaron por los viejos mojados. Las cervezas fueron cobradas las más caras y no sabemos porque.

La tapa la hemos tenido que pedir cuando se la ponían a todo el mundo. Si es para todos, es para TODOS. Los precios, pues caros comparando con otros sitios de alrededor que acompañan la bebida con tapas sin pedirlas. En definitiva, yo no voy a volver, pero puede que a ti te guste.

Entramos porque es famoso por dar tapas con la bebida. Resulta que, como bien dice otra reseña a la que han contestado por aquí, solo les dan tapas a las mesas que les da la gana. Una hora hemos estado esperando con cuatro consumiciones y no nos han traído nada. Te ponen en la situación de tener que pedir algo que te prometen dar gratis, y es incómodo.
