We were in a group, which meant we were busy chatting and didn't pay attention to details like the portion sizes, which were small for the price. The tapas selection was... well, mostly chips and nuts, not much else. It's worth noting that the waiters were friendly. And, interestingly, my companions brought their birthday cake, and they were given a slice because it's a local tradition, which was odd.
I had a really good coffee today. They've added a stylish enclosure to the terrace; it's a huge improvement, and with all this rain lately, it's nice to have a place that feels like you're at the beach. They serve "Cocido" (a traditional Spanish stew) on Thursdays (€15) and "Rabo" (oxtail) on Fridays. They also have a barbecue. They host events (€190).
Great place, usually very busy.
Fantastic service and food. Not expensive, and now always the first choice in La Lonja.
Nos sirvieron la comida muy rápido y estaba todo muy bueno.
A great place for a drink on the terrace or inside. The staff who served us were very friendly; they even did us a huge favor with a child in a wheelchair we had with us. The food was very good and fairly priced, except, I think, for the carajillos (coffee with brandy), which I found a bit expensive. Just one small detail: I think the complimentary snacks with drinks were a little small. Even so, just for the excellent service provided by the older gentleman, I would definitely return. Congratulations!
We met the other day on the terrace of the Stress restaurant for lunch, a drink afterward, and dinner while watching the Clásico. They gave us a table for lunch and another for dinner and then watching the game afterward. The food was quite good value for money. Perhaps we expected the dishes to be a little more substantial, but the food was good and well-prepared. The waiters were friendly and attentive, although as it got busy, they seemed more nervous. We would definitely return and highly recommend it. Thank you very much and HalaMadrid
A good bar for a drink (they give you a tapa, though it's not very elaborate or large) and ordering larger portions. It's a bit more expensive than other places in the fish market area. The portions we ordered were tasty. The double beer (3.50€), the mixed potatoes (6.50€) were good, although in my opinion the potatoes could have been a bit crispier, the grilled pig's ear (11.50€) was well-cooked, with some crispy parts and good flavor, and the Madrid stew croquettes (9€) were excellent, with great flavor and a superb texture—creamy and delicious. In the summer, the terrace has misting jets, which is pleasant, and in the winter, they have vents that blow warm air. The waiters were friendly. They have a baby changing station.
First of all, I have to say that the food was satisfactory, despite not being a 10/10. The terrace was packed, as it was a sunny holiday, although we didn't have to wait too long. As soon as we ordered the daily menu, they told us they were out of menus due to the large number of customers they were serving... Well, no problem, we decided to look at the menu and choose some individual portions... Well, it turned out they didn't have any good table, so we had to make another last-minute change. It also took them a while to take our order, and we had to remind them so they could serve us. Even taking these minor inconveniences into account, they offered us a couple of tapas for our inconvenience, and we were happy with the service and the quality of the products, so I highly recommend it.
Quite and clean place for a beer, wine and tapas. Nice stuff and good prices
NO VOLVEMOS
My experience was terrible. I went for the "Crazy Thursday" stew special they advertise, and I'll NEVER go back. They skimped on the soup; two level ladles, and that was a miracle, since the waiter ran out. They don't even bring bread unless you ask for it, and the same goes for drinks, which we had to ask for. For a set menu, the wait between courses was endless. They even took a long time with the dessert, and it was a pre-made flan from a tub. I thought €17 was expensive for a very ordinary set menu that doesn't even remotely resemble what they advertise on their website or in their ads: "CRAZY THURSDAY, COMPLETE STEW." They should change the picture or adapt their stew to what they actually offer. The place looks nice, which makes you even more disappointed because you expect much better quality and service. Maybe I went on a bad day.
Unfortunately, this was a terrible experience. The service was slow and unprofessional, the food quality was awful, and the value for money was even worse. The tripe wasn't properly cleaned and had an unpleasant taste. The mixed grill was inedible—tough and greasy. We waited three hours for our meal and left without coffee or dessert. I'd recommend this place only to someone on a diet who doesn't want to eat. Horrible!
We went for lunch on Thursday, and as soon as we arrived, they offered us their famous stew. There were four of us, and we ordered it. After a while, the waiter came to tell us it was already sold out! We were off to a bad start. We were going to order something else, and the cook politely asked if they were going to bring us the stew. In the end, they brought us a very small and meager portion of stew. It tasted good, but everything felt improvised. And with dessert, the waiter offered us five different options, and then a minute later, he came back and said there was only one of the five left—the very one we hadn't ordered. The service was terrible; we won't be back, and I don't recommend it!
It was disappointing that after good service and a good value for money meal, we were met with the next big surprise. We had consumed the 24-thirds bucket for 50 euros, clearly advertised in bold print on a sign outside the establishment, and when we asked for the bill, we found that we were being charged 70 euros. In VERY VERY small print (it was completely impossible to see from the table; you had to look closely to see it), it showed that price for certain days of the week. We felt quite cheated, but after much discussion, they finally charged us the correct amount.
The waiters' service was good, and the atmosphere on the terrace was very pleasant. However, the food left a lot to be desired: the quality was subpar, the portions were small, and the price seemed excessive for what was offered. In short, we don't intend to return.
We were taking a walk in the area and decided to grab a bite at this place. We were craving an omelet and decided to order it. When it was served, we were in for a surprise: on one side, it looked exactly as shown in the photo. Obviously, we told them so, and they quickly replaced it. But as soon as we took a bite of the new one, it was impossible not to realize it was a supermarket omelet, and on top of that, it was charged at 14 euros. We felt totally ripped off... it's a shame that a customer has to suffer this kind of experience.
Food is very bad and staff are unfriendly and didn't care when we complained also chef didn't check to see if food was cooked which it wasn't. Never again!!
