The restaurant is vey conveniently located from reina sofia museum. It was quite busy around 9pm. However there was table for two. They offer vegetarian and seafood options. I had paella option. For wine, albaño was the suggestion. It was really nice fresh and goes well with the food. My friend had vegetarian wok menu. It was really good as well.

This is what you look for in a Spanish tapa bar or small restaurant. Our waiter was flying around and serving people at lightning speed. We ordered three dishes which all were excellent. Also got to taste a free local creamy drink, which also tasted great. Great place to fill you stomach in between museum visits.

We both really liked this place. We happened upon it totally randomly, and it was a great find. This lived up to the hype that you should always eat at local places off the main streets. This was great. We got a few dishes and some olives and everything was delicious. We tried a burrata dish that was really excellent. We enjoyed the meal here and left very satisfied. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed. Would highly recommend this place.

I initially came here drawn by the restaurant’s beautiful mural, which looked especially striking in Google photos—and I’m glad I followed my instincts. Our dining experience turned out to be genuinely pleasant. We ordered the Spanish hams, squid salad, and paella, all of which struck a perfect balance between bold flavor and elegant seasoning—not too oily, not overly subtle. The food arrived promptly after ordering, which we also appreciated. We’d definitely come back again.

Absolutely amazing local spot in Madrid! We tried the paella and grilled octopus — both were incredibly delicious, especially the octopus which was tender and full of flavor. The wine was excellent as well. To top it off, the owner offered us two small glasses of liquor at the end — such a warm and friendly gesture! Truly a wonderful experience and a taste of real Spanish hospitality. Highly recommended!

We found the place via Google maps. It turned out just as most people described. The first night was a winner. We decided to go on the second night and then the third. The place took care all of our three dinners in Madrid. The waiters remembered us and even offered us a free carrot cake dessert. Many dishes there have half sizes. So we order one full size and two half sizes. We also realize that if there were lots of Asians eat there, the food in that place must be good. I think we Asians don’t drink that much and we take dishes seriously:). Anyhow, highly recommend the place.

Probably the best restaurant we’ve had during our stay in Spain so far. There was a little bit of a wait to get a table and it seemed to get busier throughout the night, however we only waited 10 minutes or so. The food is very reasonably priced and comes in pretty large portions. For appetizers, we really liked the fried eggplant. The grilled squid, strip loin, secreto ibérico, and huevos rotos with ham main dishes were very good as well. The food came out relatively quickly, considering the business of the restaurant. Overall, a great place to eat in Madrid near the center, but away from the main streets.

A fantastic Spanish restaurant! The squid was especially delicious, and the sangria was absolutely amazing. Interestingly, we ordered two glasses, and they tasted slightly different—one had a more tangy flavor. The service was fast and friendly, and the food arrived quickly. We don’t speak Spanish, but the staff were very patient and kindly waited for us to translate. Highly recommended!

I really loved all the food we ordered, everything was amazing, the beef, squid, hummus and paella ♥️ 11/10 will come back but unfortunately it’s my last night in Spain, will definitely recommend it to my amigos! Sangria was amazing too 😘 definitely worth ordering a jar!! Atmosphere and music was superb as well. The waiter was witty and helpful, the food was “sabroso” as one of the waiter would say :)

Este lugar es tranquilo y normal, la comida está buena digamos que el servicio no era muy bueno porque digamos que pedimos una ración de la calamares y el mesero no lo anotó lo cual no entendimos porque. Luego el mesero no nos explicó mucho de los detalles de la comida solo nos anotó la comida y ya yo me esperaba que nos hubiera explicado más, el ambiente está muy normal y súper tranquilo la mayoría de las personas que comen acá son extranjeras. El lugar bueno para comer.

Fuimos especificamente porque vimos que tenia gambas al ajillo, pero fue una decepcion total :’) El resto estuvo muy rico eso si, las alcachofas 10/10, super recomendado. El risotto tambien muy rico, y el secreto normalito.

El restaurante cumple con lo que promete: el ambiente es realmente acogedor y el servicio, atento y amable. Nos atendió Andrés, que fue especialmente eficiente y simpático durante toda la velada. Las tapas son estupendas, aunque unas destacan más que otras; en particular, las croquetas y la paella merecen mención aparte por su sabor y buena presentación. Los cócteles son creativos y llamativos, como se anuncia, pero quiero hacer una advertencia si eres español: evita pedir sangría. Es evidente que la preparan pensando en un público extranjero al que le gustan los sabores muy dulces, y el resultado dista bastante de lo que muchos consideramos una sangría auténtica. En general, una experiencia muy agradable, con un ambiente distendido y, curiosamente, con gran presencia de comensales orientales. El baño no cumple con el estándar de un restaurante de buen nivel.

Acabe aquí pq estaba famélico y no había sitios con cocina abiertos. El trato fue excelente, sería injusto decir lo contrario. La comida estaba bien, no era la mega caña, pero estaba bien. Precio... Lo habitual, barato no, pero caro tampoco. Las berenjenas fritas me encantaron y la tarta tb, los huevos rotos... Regular. Y no le doy 5 estrellas pq para sentarse son taburetes para que quepan más... Y a cierta edad, que menos q una silla.

He ido varias veces a este sitio, y volví ayer y me pareció que la calidad había empeorado... La sangría, las berenjenas rebozadas y la ropavieja muy bien, como siempre. Sin embargo, el arroz con pollo al curry, mucho peor: arroz mal cocido, una pechuga de pollo tirando a seca y a la plancha sin más, y salsa por encima... Poco sabor, poca gracia, creo recordar que en su día llevaba pasas y esta vez no... Y el plato de chipirones era la primera vez que lo pedíamos, y media ración resultaron ser 4 tristes chipirones que no estaban especialmente ricos, y 3/4 partes del plato era ensalada. Hasta ahora era un sitio que me daba confianza para llevar a gente a picar algo por el barrio. Ahora me lo pensaré un poquito más... 🙁

Great food...impressed by the fried eggplant, moussaka and spinach ravioli (highly recommended). Quick service. Still, they have to work the seafood paella and get a better quality steak. Seats are Japanese style short but definitely eat again there. Great beer. Good house wine.

The atmosphere and service was great. Came here seeing the good reviews. Just a little disappointing with the seafood paella as the prawn was not fresh. Thankfully the rice was really good. Salmon was crispy and yummy as well. The pricing is reasonable so still worth a try.

Friendly, delicious and welcoming. We chose Mas Al Sur as wanted a small paella and some tapas for dinner and something our 6yr old would eat too. The staff were so welcoming, advised that what we’d chosen would be enough for us. The fried eggplant dish was really really incredible, and memorable. Delicious croquettes, and perfect amount of very tasty paella. 6yr old enjoyed the jamon iberico and ravioli. Reasonable prices, family friendly, cool interior, and we ate early at about 7pm for a calm, chilled out vibe.

Just 13 minutes from Madrid Atocha train station. Great food and friendly service. I love that we can order a half size meal and try different dishes! I have the full Octopus menu,though, because I love Octopus! The beautiful Sangria was great in flavor and alcohol content. I really liked it.

A nice local spot. All we ate was delicious. It was Monday so it wasn’t packed. We got our food super fast. I wish I had more time in Madrid to go there a couple more times to try everything from their menu. BTW risotto was surprisingly good! I would like to say it’s a worth visiting restaurant in Madrid. Nothing to complain about :)

La comida buena y tamaños de las raciones razonables. Sin embargo, el servicio mejorable. Teníamos reserva y tuvimos que esperar 20min a que nos sentasen y tardaron en tomarnos nota. A las 23:40 nos dijeron que ya no servían más bebidas y te da la impresión de que quieren que te vayas cuanto antes. Precio aprox. 20€/pers

- El servicio bien, sacaron la comida muy rápido. - Los chipirones estaba buena pero había más ensalada que chipirones. - El pulpa diferente y estaba bueno - Croquetas las de jamón estaba bueno pero las de boletus flojillo apenas se notaba el boletus. - El risotto estaba muy bueno y cremoso. - Loml bajo, mal hecho. Se pidió poco hecho y estaba poco hecho pero parece qye no se ha temperado y por dentro estaba totalmente frío.

Aunque la comida está bastante buena y el local es bonito, el trato del personal deja mucho que desear, pasaban por delante de nuestra mesa como sí no estuviéramos. No tomamos postre porque no se preocuparon de preguntarlo, ni siquiera al pedir la cuenta. Una lástima.

Llegué buscando algo cerca de la estación de Atocha al estar justo en tiempo, al ver su gran review en google Maps acabé aquí, pero no me metí a leer los opiniones y ver que todos eran de extranjeros. Y si el lugar está hecho para turistas (al final del día ya soy uno no estoy en contra) pero al buscar algo mucho más tradicional si da rabia. En primer lugar me pedí el Kalimotxo y el mesero no capto que le estaba pidiendo, y después le pedí un mosto, por segunda ocasión no capto (y se supone que el turista soy yo) Me pedí unos huevos rotos con jamón. El jamón era de buena calidad, pero un huevo estaba sobrecocido y el otro a medias, y las papas al ser delgadas unas estaban más tiernas y otras parecían lays, me lo comí pero no fue una comida que disfruté. Los pimientos al padrón muy decentes y una buena porción. En conclusión hay lugares con sabores mucho más auténticos y definitivamente con un personal más calificado. 5/10

The location of this restaurant is excellent, right near the Reina Sofia Museo making it a convenient stop to rest and grab a meal after a visit. Unfortunately, the food quality was very disappointing. You can imagine the quality of a seafood paella that is served just five minutes after ordering — the seafood was clearly not fresh. The mussels were small, with the meat separated from the shells. The large portion of calamari made us wonder if we were mistakenly served the small portion instead, there were only 6 small pieces in total. I honestly wonder whether the owner or the chef has changed. We came here based on positive reviews from others, but it turned out to be a very poor experience.

Avoid this restaurant. It is overhyped by the Chinese social media platform. The tables and plates were dirty, and restaurant’s hygiene is not ideal overall. Honestly the food is far below average. We had the croquettes, prawns, scallops, seafood paella, fried eggs with ham, sangeria, and a mocktail. The seafood paella was a disaster, all the seafood was not fresh and poorly cooked. Other items are not even worth mentioning. A side note is: we asked for some tap water, and the waiter nodded and delivered a bottled water without mentioning that it’s chargeable. Until we asked and rejected the water. It’s not ideal and a bit dodgy. It ruined our last night in Madrid.

La comida de precio elevado pero de buen sabor, la atención del personal es super desagradable, no hay que tomarse nada personal pero demasiado borde el que parece ser manager de la tienda... Soy vecino del sector y quería entrar a ver que tal y ni de coña vuelvo acá.
