A great place for a set menu with six choices for the first course, six for the second, and several desserts. All the dishes we tried were delicious: cocido (Spanish stew), lacón con grelos (ham hock with turnip greens), fabes con pulpo (Asturian bean stew with octopus), salmorejo (cold tomato soup), and pork ribs. Dessert or coffee is included for €14.00. They also have other options for very good meat dishes. Extensive à la carte menu.

They have an outdoors heated tent really nice for Madrid’s winter. Good tapas and dishes. Would recommend to go with friends and share several dishes

Wow.. like all galician places it doesn't disappoint. Huge portions, mouthwatering seafood and excellent value for money. Great service too!

Un lugar que merece la pena visitar. Tienen menú y carta a elegir. El menú está muy completo en la cantidad de platos a elegir. Ahora bien las cantidades de los primeros son un poco escasas,en los segundos corrigen el error. La simpatía del personal es una muy buena carta de presentación y el trato es muy amable. La limpieza en estos tiempos de locos es bastante buena. Los baños de hombres tienen una puerta corredera con un cierre un poco malo. A mi no me gusta pero tampoco es para poner una mala puntuación. Merece la pena visitar este rinconcito.

Un menú del día correcto, a un precio de 11€, raciones en condiciones y comida buena. Un pequeño fallo para mi fué que a las 14:30 ya no les quedaba el emperador que para mí era el mejor segundo del menú. El local amplio y las mesas bien separadas por el tema covid. Todas las noches dan un menú de cena por 21€ que espero ir pronto a probar.

Estábamos encantados con la comida y con el servicio hasta casi el final de la comida. Nos sobra un poco del segundo plato y nos dicen que cada "tupper" cuesta 1'5€. Bueno, lo pago por un tupper, ok y nos encontramos lo que se puede apreciar en los vídeos, es un triste plato de aluminio envuelto en papel de aluminio también... La impresión que nos deja es bastante negativa a pesar de que la comida estaba muy rica. Eso sí, no recomiendo en absoluto la tarta de queso, las he comido infinitamente mejores.

Estas croquetas no son de ese bar ya que cuando iba a pedir una segunda racion la camarera me retiró la carta sin dejarme pedirla. Automáticamente pagué y me fui andando a otro bar a 2.1 KM a comerme estas fantasticas croquetas de jamon caseras. Por todo lo demás el O Freixo es un buen bar. Es probable que vuelva.

I asked a breakfast with the classic "barra con tomate" and coffee and they gave me a funky sauce full of garlic. When I complained the latin girl behind the bar turned her back without even ask if I wanted another one just with tomato as I asked. Needless to say I haven't eaten my bread because it was full of garlic at 7am.

He venido muchas veces a comer y cenar. Pero la última vez ha sido un desastre. Hacia frío en el local, la calefacción sin poner, comiendo con abrigos puesto y el "jefe del local" que es el cocinero bastante desagradable y mal educado cuando fui a reclamarle que pusiera la calefacción porque estábamos pasmados de frío, él argumentando de que comieramos con abrigo y si queremos calefacción el menú lo subirá a 50€. Bastante desagradable la comida de este día y han perdido unos clientes. Intolerable estar comiendo muertos de frío y muy mala educación por parte del dueño, el resto de personal escudándose como podian

Tiempo de espera infinito. No tenían de nada, todo fatal. Literalmente no hemos podido cenar 3 personas un sábado. Se necesita más personal. Los camareros no tienen la culpa pero así no puede gestionarse un bar.

Me dejé el móvil en la barra y cuando fui a por él no estaba. Gracias a que en otro de los móviles teníamos el localizador y vimos que estaba en la terraza en la cual había uno de los camareros. Al ir a preguntar por él no lo tenían y nos dice la encargada que preguntemos al camarero de la terraza. Al ir a preguntarle se queda sorprendido y nos dice que va a preguntar y el localizador aparecía donde se encontraba a él. Tras insistir ya nos han devuelto el teléfono, sino se hubieran hecho los locos. Una vergüenza

We met up with friends for dinner, as we've been doing for years at this place. It must not be the same owner. The portions were very small...they were more like tapas. Nothing like the excellent meals we've had on other occasions. The staff practically asked us to leave shortly after 11:15 pm. We won't be going back.

NOT RECOMMENDED We booked a table a week ago, waiting for the time we asked for something to drink and they didn't even give us a measly appetizer for 7 drinks. We told them we had a table and they reacted as if they were lost... they sent us out to the terrace where we had booked and there was no table ready, which we didn't give any importance to... the menu was in sheets and a meager menu. In one of the menus, which is a special and they charge €35, they gave us a portion of huevos rotos supposedly for two people and they brought us the same dish we had ordered in an individual menu, with the raw egg and the ham inedible. Paper tablecloths and not even a measly slice of bread which we had to get up and get ourselves... For 7 people, they brought out two starters in 30 minutes and the rest were looking. We had to get up and fight because it was pitiful... I repeat... NOT RECOMMENDED

This time I have to give this restaurant a negative review. There were four of us this past Saturday. They were slow to take our menu order, and when it finally arrived, the meat was undercooked. It was impossible to chew because it was raw. We told the waiter to cook it more, but he didn't seem to like it. After about five minutes, he came back and cooked it until it was charred. When we ordered dessert, the cakes were placed on the table very rudely, as were the spoons, and the cortado I ordered was brought in a horrible water glass! The waiter would interrupt us mid-sentence; we couldn't tell if he'd even heard us. The service was terrible this time. I don't think I'll be going back. It's a shame because it's one of the places I used to like and recommend.
