I was here nine years ago, and that dinner was so memorable that I decided to come back. Once again, the service and food & drinks were excellent. At one point, a violinist entered the restaurant and played a few songs on his violin. This created a very pleasant atmosphere among the guests, which made the experience even better. A nice twist and I definitely recommended this place if you enjoy good food at a cozy restaurant.

We’ve been coming here since our very first trip to Malaga 12 years ago and have been each time we have returned which has been a lot as we love Malaga. It has never failed to disappoint. The food is awesome and Gabriel and his team are amazing hosts. The wine is also delicious and has a price point for everyone. We are here for a month this time so will definitely get a few more visits in before we return home.

One of the best tapas restaurants we found in Malaga! Very very friendly staff with a lot of humor. The restaurant is not big and a bit cramped, but this actually creates a very nice atmosphere. It is mainly visited by locals, which proves their authenticity and quality. Making a reservation is definitely required, we we're very lucky to get a table. Quality of the food is incredibly good, the only problem I had is that at some point I could no longer fit any more food in my stomach. Also the wine selection is very good, many good options. Very highly recommended!

El Tapeo de Cervantes was recommended to me by a friend who had been there before. I was so happy to be able to get a reservation on such short notice. I enjoyed three dishes that were superb! Two were chicken and one beef but I can’t remember the name of them for the life of me. Suffice to say each dish was flavorful and a joyful noise for my taste buds! I wish I’d taken pictures. Highly recommended!

The two of us had a wonderful experience here. Recommend a reservation. This place is an an institution and absolute must for anyone wanting classic high quality regional food, a fabulous wine list and generous pours. One of the few restaurants we have been at where the staff take the time to ask you what kind of wine you like and they try to match it with local varieties. The small space makes for a special intimate bustling vibe, great for people watching and leaning over to ask the next table what they are eating. Really appreciated they offer three portions for most items. The half portions were fine for sharing with two and we did not need to waste any food or risk overeating. I would bring a date here because the ambiance is fun. The server's may appear serious but it's all show -- they are in on the joke and friendly. Of mention was the goat cheese salad with cherries and some type of sweet berry, very healthy and light. We also enjoyed the duck breast, sardines and meatballs.

I was interested in the reviews of this place because the restaurant offers half portions, which allows you to try more dishes, and that's fantastic! The place can be a bit chaotic, but everyone is friendly and speaks English! The food was spectacular, I wanted to order two more dishes! I recommend it!

Found this place on a trip with my wife. Rafael made an extra effort to fit us in when the restaurant was already heaving and we then had one of the best meals ever. We had the best experience from the moment we arrived. The service was great, Rafael was super friendly, helped us with wine recommendations and ensured our night was really fun. The food was amaaaaazing. We had a selection of tapas between 4. Highly recommend either of the steak dishes, the baby squid and the chorizo omelette. The space is very cosy, and great vibes.

Cannot recommend the food and service highly enough. They were so welcoming and selected a range of elevated and delicious tapas for us - every plate was excellent. They were able to cater for a range of allergies and intolerances. They took care of a large group beautifully. Great easy going local gem with friendly staff and great selection of tapas to share. Inexpensive and great in terms of price/quality and off the beaten track vibe. A must to dine in for two or a family. Tuna tataki was great so as the artichoke salad. Baby squid on the grill is also worth trying.

Definitely the best tapas in Malaga by far served by efficient and parsonal service. Pork cheeks were excellent as was the padron peppers!

¡Una experiencia muy agradable! Tanto que lo visitamos dos veces. Hemos comido casi todo del menu de la pizarra. Nos ha gustado que el chef ha sido visible y ha saludado, los camareros muy amables, sobre todo nuestro "compeñero" Rafael; trato inteligente, eficaz y sensible. Nos gustó sentir la profesionalidad. Los sabores y platos simples, pero ricos, el vino recomendado a nuestro gusto, y excelentes "chupitos" para acompañar el postre de flan de higo. El resto de clientes eran sobre todo ingleses, pero el ambiente no es turístico. Tuve una experiencia muy agradable en El Tapeo de Cervantes durante mi visita a Málaga. El ambiente del restaurante es acogedor y tradicional, con una decoración que refleja perfectamente el espíritu de la cocina española. La carta ofrece una excelente selección de tapas y platos principales, con opciones tanto clásicas como modernas. El personal fue atento y profesional, y la calidad de los productos es evidente en cada bocado. Sin duda, es un lugar recomendable para disfrutar de la gastronomía malaguenña.

Un poco caro y escaso...pedimos 3 medias raciones y una ración entera y salimos con hambre. En mi opinión, por ese dinero y con la cantidad que pedimos deberías salir satisfecho y no fue así. En general la comida estaba buena y la presentación muy bien aunque no recomendaría el risotto que estaba un poco duro y poco cremoso para lo que se suele esperar.

Sitio elegante y muy bien ambientado y decorado. Estilo taberna y vinoteca. Moderno y con una atmósfera acogedora. Espacio un poco justo, ya que es como un pasillo con las mesas a un lado. Amplia carta y recomendaciones de carta. Opción de ración completa o media ración. Platos bien presentados y bien cocinados, pero algo justos de cantidad. Trato muy amable, atento y servicio rápido.

Restaurante pequeño con mesas altas, la comida no está mal pero ningún plato de los que pedimos sobresalía. El precio lo veo elevado, las raciones son escasas, conclusión restaurante muy normalito. Un detalle aunque habíamos reservado mesa tuvimos que esperar 20 minutos.

La cocina es sencilla pero siempre excelente. Todos los comensales fueron amables, rápidos y atentos, como siempre. NEGATIVO>: era absurdo reunir tantas mesas en un espacio tan pequeño. Elegimos este restaurante por recomendación de un amigo, pero nos sentimos un poco decepcionados. La acogida fue cálida, sin embargo, nos sorprendió que las sugerencias de vinos fueran tan costosas, con botellas que superaban los 115 €. Además, la comida resultó demasiado salada, lo que empañó un poco la experiencia.

El sitio es mediocre: tanto en la comida, ni argentina ni española, como en la sala tan estrecha y en el aseo-almacén que te sorprende con un frigorífico dentro. Lamentablemente nos estamos acostumbrando a la poca profesionalidad, a la poca calidad, a la nula singularidad y al enriquecimiento rápido y cómodo. Ante nuestra apreciación de que las alcachofas eran congeladas y no naturales como había dicho, una y otra vez, el camarero, este nos invitó a que nos tomásemos los postres en otro lugar. Inaudito. Trabajo en un hotel de prestigio y recomendamos este sitio frecuentemente, por lo que quise venir a probarlo con mi familia. Aseguro que no lo recomendaré más.

Fuimos por las excelentes reseñas y, por desgracia, nuestra experiencia fue la contraria. Varios platos llegaron por debajo de lo esperado —poco sabor y ejecución irregular— y, cuando lo comentamos con educación, la reacción del responsable fue desmesurada y poco profesional. En lugar de escuchar y proponer una solución, se mostró a la defensiva y restó importancia a nuestras observaciones. El ambiente es correcto, pero los tiempos de espera fueron largos y la relación calidad-precio no compensa. Salimos con la sensación de que se prioriza defender la reputación antes que mejorar la experiencia del cliente. Ojalá lo tomen como oportunidad para corregir.

Fue raro. El camarero nos ofreció invitarnos a la bebida con tal de irnos. Parecía que no quería vernos la cara ni un minuto más. Prefería perder dinero invitándonos que tenernos ahí consumiendo cientos de euros. Siempre me he considerando buen cliente y buen consumidor... no esperaba que un establecimiento prefiera perder dinero que ver mi cara. Me quede hundido. Al final, suplicando, logramos convencerle de que nos dejase hacerle ganar dinero. La comida muy buena, las croquetas de 10. Repetiríamos, si nos dejan.
