Es un clásico anual cuando venimos a Málaga. La comida nos encanta y son tan agradables y cariñosos que no podemos dejar de pasar por aquí. Súmale que la localización tiene algo especial para nosotros y no hay más que decir. Especialmente gracias a Julia y Susana por su cariño y profesionalidad.

Desayuno muy bueno, mollete de tortilla, tomate y lomo en manteca espectaculares! El café un 10! Muy recomendable. También para ir con niños, pues el personal es muy amable y muy buen servicio. Perfecto para ir en familia.

100% recomendable. Un bar muy bonito, con un ambiente cálido, cercano y mucho arte. No teníamos planes para la tarde, así que hoy hemos decidido ir allí a ver el espectáculo de flamenco. Nos ha sorprendido de forma muy positiva. Desde el primer momento Saad (El camarero) ha sido muy amable y atento. A la hora del show el bar estaba completo, pero la verdad es que no nos ha faltado de nada y hemos estado muy a gusto. Mi madre y yo le estamos muy agradecidas. Los artistas Vane la India, Curro Román, Aarón Reyes y Juan Moreno han hecho una actuación espectacular. Muy admirable su talento para improvisar juntos y ha sido un placer disfrutar de su arte. Hemos salido muy contentas así que tenemos claro que repetiremos cuando volvamos a Málaga. Nos llevamos muy buen recuerdo. Muchas gracias, ¡hasta la próxima!

Went with my parents to see the flamenco performance and we were both disappointed! The audience was small (midweek, early December) but the dancers, singer and guitarist brought the energy and really gave it their all! Very impressive. We had great service from Saad who was very attentive and also spoke excellent English. Worth a visit if you want to see some Andalusian culture while in town.

I really had the best time in while. It was Saturday night, Malaga center full of people and even with that the service was excellent. All waiters were excellent. We were a very noisy group!🤣 and they didn’t lose the patience. Food weee excellent with vegan tapas!

Came there for a flamenco show. In autumn they do 2 timings: 19:00 and 21:00. There was live guitarist, live singer and two dancers. Beautiful and passionate show. The guy dancer seemed particularly skilled.

Loved it lived it loved it. There are several restaurants around here to choose from but the fun and attentiveness of the team here coupled with the great food makes it my number 1. The team serve well the octopus and the prawns are great. The service from Maribelle is super. The cava is ok and could.do.with being chilled.more but overall this is a super place 5 out of 5!

Teniendo en cuenta la fecha en la que estamos, Navidad, todo fue, en general, bastante bien. Esperamos poco para coger mesa, la comida, en general, muy bien, únicamente decir que el solomillo al Pedro Ximenez, estaba algo soso de sabor, y no me refiero de sal, el Pedro Ximenez no se apreciaba. El servicio, bastante bueno, los camarer@s, desbordados, pero dentro de lo lógico. Sin duda para repetir, viajamos en Autocaravana. Gracias y muchos kilómetros 💪🚐.

Lo mejor es el ambiente, la situación y la decoración. El personal lento y algo borde. La comida muy normalita. El espectáculo muy bueno, es lo único que realmente merece la pena. El restaurante realmente decepciona. Si volvemos será solo al espectáculo.

La comida estaba buena pero pedimos un flamenquín que llevaba patatas y padrón y nos llegó sin padrón. Cuando se lo dijimos al camarero nos dijo que no tenían y que no tenían nada para sustituir. El camarero no tiene la culpa pero nos podían haber puesto otra cosa, aunque sea medio tomate partido. Es muy fácil….

Nice spot it is advice for a drink or just a bite. The price are pretty high compared to the quantity of food you get. Quality is okay the service is really great and the people are more than welcoming. We tried the terrace for lunch not the restaurant at night so I can’t say nothing about the night atmosphere that seems pretty nice.

We ate here before seeing a flamenco show. We had a great seat outside. The servers are super attentive. The drinks were good. The food was OK. The fried eggplant is sliced like chips instead of like fries and you end up tasting more breading than eggplant (which isn’t a good thing)

We got this place recommended, and it turns out there are 2 restaurants! while the atmosphere is quite nice and cozy, El Gallo Ronco loses some points from me when it comes to food; the Tortilla De Patatas was unbelievably bad and our Spanish friends apologized profusely saying that it’s usually a very good dish. As we were ordering tapas to share, it was quite a surprise to see that one of the dishes ordered was a singular artichoke heart with no dressing beyond oil, we assumed there would be more to it, but that could have been our fault for not reading the menu better, but perhaps a warning would have been nice since we made it clear we’d be sharing all the food. The music is certainly a plus and the walls are adorned with Spanish celebrities. We enjoyed a delicious beer and continued our night out.

El lugar para tomar algo está muy bien, con un ambiente agradable y precios dentro de lo esperado, similares a cualquier otro sitio. Sin embargo, en relación calidad-precio me pareció caro, ya que, la comida deja mucho que desear. Todo estaba bastante soso, las patatas “bravas”además de estar duras venían con una salsa que era básicamente mayonesa rosa, las lágrimas de pollo no tenían absolutamente ningún sabor. Lo que sí destaco es la atención, que fue excelente y muy amable.

This will be a mixed review. Great service from barman and really enjoyed my sparkling white wine. Enjoyable performance especially from the main (woman) however some staff/performers before and after had a weird attitude by treating me as either invisible or looking at me strangely. I paid for a ticket the same as everyone else in my group and my money is worth the same, so I shouldn’t be receiving worse treatment. As a result overall I wouldn’t recommend this and will spend my money somewhere more welcoming next time.

La experiencia fue bastante decepcionante. Las patatas bravas eran claramente congeladas y de muy mala calidad. Parece que hemos aceptado como algo normal que en un restaurante se sirvan patatas congeladas, pero no debería ser así. Que no se pele una patata fresca dice mucho del nivel de cocina. Es un detalle básico que marca la diferencia. Las croquetas también parecían congeladas y resultaron incomibles. De nuevo, algo que se ha normalizado, pero que en un restaurante debería hacerse casero o, al menos, con un mínimo de calidad. Lo único positivo fue el trato de los camareros, que fueron muy simpáticos y atentos.

​I was shocked by the lack of basic service here. We had to remind the staff for plates and cutlery after our food had already arrived, and we were skipped over for bread service! The staff was incredibly cold and unwelcoming, especially toward our kids. It was clear we were being treated differently than other patrons, maybe because we look different? Save your money and go somewhere where everyone is treated with basic respect. A beautiful venue cannot make up for such an unpleasant and exclusionary environment. PS: if the manager cares to fix thid, this was on Jan 2nd.

After a long day, we wanted to enjoy Spanish cuisine in the heart of Malaga. We were drawn in by a charming free table right in the center, at El Gallo Ronco. We were served by a waiter named Gabriele, who over the years seems to have perfected a professionally indifferent facial expression. We ordered food together with drinks, but were surprised when the first thing brought to our table were squid rings — not the drinks. The following dishes also arrived without any drinks in sight. After quite some time, we finally received a warm bottle of white wine, and our request for ice was completely ignored. Perhaps the problems began when we were served by at least five different waiters throughout the evening. In the end, we dined on not-so-tasty meat, rubbery octopus, and dry bread. When it came time to pay, we were presented with an unreasonably high bill. Upon closer inspection, we discovered that the bill included an extra bottle of wine and a salad we never ordered. The only gesture of “goodwill” from the staff was issuing a corrected bill. When we asked who was responsible for the mistake, it turned out that no one was. Perhaps the restaurant’s concept is “surprises” — unexpected waiters, random dishes, and a bill that feels like a lottery. Unfortunately, this time we didn’t hold the winning ticket.
