Buen ambiente y buena comida. Calidad/precio fenomenal . Lugar para repetir sin duda

Sitio muy céntrico de Málaga en donde poder degustar productos de la tierra a los que les han dado un toque muy personal. Ambiente relajado con un punto de luz justo que induce a disfrutar de una buena comida. Los precios no son demasiado elevados y van acordes con la calidad que ofrecen, así como una carta de vinos variada pero no muy extensa. Recomiendo el chivo desmigado y la corvina aunque no quiero olvidarme de los fideos tostados. Merece la pena porque hemos salido muy satisfechos y tendremos que volver porque nos han quedado un par de referencias por probar, que se antojan muy interesantes.

Muy agradable comer aquí, los camareros atienden muy bien y atentos a las mesas. La comida está exquisita, con precios buenos y una carta bastante amplia. Ya habíamos ido antes y repetiremos seguro.

Una comida entre amigas, muchas risas, buen ambiente, nos atendió Pablo muy bien, con mucho humor y mucha paciencia jajajaja. La comida espectacular, todo estuvo sabroso, los entrantes, la comida principal, los postres. No hemos tenido pega con nada. Yo ya había visitado su otro establecimiento, por eso les propuse a las chicas para venir y probarlo. Un total 10 👌🏻.

Very nice tapas restaurant in Malaga. Great and friendly staff. Many traditional tapas options which are all very very tasteful. Normally we don't visit the same restaurant twice during a trip, but for this restaurant we made an exception. It is an incredibly busy restaurant, so making a reservation is highly recommended. Or you can try your luck, waiting times are usually 15-30 minutes, but definitely worth the wait! Highly recommended.

Beautiful restaurant with excellent options. I had the calamari, croquettes, chicken and oxtail paella. Chefs kiss 😊😊 Excellent choice of drinks as well, I had a pina colada and a recommended tequila to finish off. Loved it Highly recommend For the paella 🥘 I would return over and over.

An absolute must-stop in Málaga. I came here alone to try the classics and wasn’t disappointed. I ordered half portions (media porción) of Jamón Ibérico and of Croquetas del Puchero. The ham was some of the best I’ve ever had in Spain, perfectly cured and nutty. The croquettes were rich, creamy, and packed with meat. Great atmosphere and perfect portions for a solo traveler.

We know that over time, these establishments often lose their quality, but this is not the case here. The quality and service are exceptional. You'll be satisfied no matter what you order, if you know what you're looking for. Above all, order the sweet wine, especially their most famous sweet orange wine; it pairs beautifully with their dishes. Enjoy!

You absolutely must book in advance, as it fills up very quickly. The “Bodega” has different areas; if you prefer a quieter one, I recommend "El Palomar." The waiters were very friendly despite how busy the place was. The food is absolutely delicious and cheaper than at other places we visited in Spain.

Went to this Bodega as we were looking for a place to eat lunch and have a rest. We were able to get a seat on the patio and service was prompt and efficient. Experienced tapas and Aperol as a light refreshing cocktail for lunch. We ordered the Calamari and potato wedges and they were delicious 😋. Definitely a place to be at in Malaga. Worth the visit.

This bar is apparently 49% owned by Antonio Banderas. It seems to be a collection of spaces, including two indoor areas and the outside covered Terrace that we enjoyed. We were part of a bus tour that was doing a Malaga wine tasting. The wine was fantastic and came with some olives and chips. Many of our group stayed for a meal and said it was superb.It situation in the old town is perfect as it is directly in front of the old Roman amphitheatre. It’s a great place for a drink to sit and watch the crowds go by and enjoy some quality Spanish wine and food.

An Unforgettable Experience at El Pimpi! Everything about El Pimpi was absolutely perfect from start to finish! Located in the heart of Málaga, this iconic restaurant truly lives up to its legendary reputation. The atmosphere is electric yet charming, with Andalusian soul pouring from every corner — from the beautiful decor and historic photos to the buzzing terrace with views of the Alcazaba. The service was flawless — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our server made excellent recommendations and made us feel like VIPs throughout the meal. Now, the food… WOW. Every dish was a celebration of flavor and quality. The jamón ibérico was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, the seafood incredibly fresh, and the local specialties like the salmorejo and fried eggplant with honey were just divine. You can taste the love and tradition in every bite. We paired our meal with a glass (or two!) of Málaga wine straight from their legendary barrels — a must! El Pimpi is more than a restaurant — it’s an experience, a story, and a love letter to Málaga’s culture. We’ll be dreaming about this place until we return. 10/10 – Highly recommended!

This is a truly special place. We arrived a bit early, as it can get very busy, and I’m glad we did. The service was spot on—absolutely nothing more we could have asked for. And the food… what can I say? It was amazing! Generous portions and incredible flavor made for a perfect meal. Highly recommended. Special mention to Javi that works there and recommended what to eat. We'll be back!

Lo visitamos el 30 de marzo de 2025. Muy buen sitio para comer. Imprescindible reserva. La atención muy buena, la comida muy bien también y la relación calidad/precio normal. No es para ir todos los días, pero merece la pena darse un homenaje aquí. Estuvimos seis comensales y salimos a algo más de 42€ por persona, con tapas y platos al centro, torrijas de postre, bebidas y café. Me llamó la atención que tienen un palto de cuchara del día y puedes pedir una tapa, lo cual hicimos y fue una buena idea. Sitio recomendable.

¡Increíble el sitio! Los camareros muy amables y educados, la comida espectacular. Lo único que no me ha convencido, los tiempos de espera, hasta que nos tomaron nota y llegó la comida estuvimos un buen rato. Aun así, muy contenta con el recibimiento y la comida. ¡Fantástica carta de productos locales y platos reinventados!

Gastrobar de corte claro, "casa de vinos y comidas" con una cocina que está basada en el recetario familiar y tradicional malagueño y andaluz. Comedor agradable con terraza y muy buen trato. Entre sus platos más reconocidos están los fideos tostados, las croquetas caseras de guiso, el tartar de salchichón de málaga, la ensaladilla rusa, la pluma de cerdo ibérico o el chivo lechal malagueño que no puedes dejar de probar. Gran acierto!

Antonio Banderas restaurant. It's very busy, so there is a certain hurry to eat and go. We had the carrots with hummus and the shrimps as starters, both taste but we expected that the shrimp would be at least a bit spicy, but it's just plane oil with garlic. We had the sea bream with vegetables, which was also really good and well served. I had a bit problems to digest, which may indicate that they use a "bad" fat for the plancha, but I didn't ask. They gave us a cup of sweet wine for free, which is definitely a nice treat. All in all, it's worth visiting.

El Pimpi is an absolute institution in Málaga, and stepping inside feels like walking through the city's culinary history. The atmosphere alone is worth the visit—it’s lively, authentic, and packed with wonderful traditional Andalusian decor. The staff are generally attentive, and the traditional tapas and selection of Málaga sweet wine are superb, providing a fantastic taste of the region. The quality of the dishes we did enjoy was excellent, justifying the high praise this restaurant consistently receives. However, a slight disappointment prevented a perfect score: after placing our order, we were later informed that the two salads we had requested were, unfortunately, unavailable. I think communication between BOH and FOH should be better for the future.

Busy Busy Busy at 7: PM. Managed to get a table for 1 inside. Great food. The servers really hustle and do a great job. Very picturesque interior with various rooms, including (at least 1) barroom that was vacant upon my arrival but bustling by 8:15. I came specifically for the ajoblanco and it was very good with a seasonal fruit sorbet. Be prepared! The menu is only available through QR code but it does have a handy (necessary?) feature that you can check off what you want and it will translate it for the waiter. The waiter tried to tell me that I was ordering too much, which I appreciate but I went ahead anyway.

This place was chosen for me by chat gpt, and I it was a very decent choice. The place is very interesting, the food was good and served fast, but minus one star because I was waiting for my check twice longer than for the food. Prices seem a bit too high but I would say it’s worth it anyway.

We had dinner at El Pimpi and were excited to experience one of Málaga’s most iconic spots. The atmosphere is undeniably charming—vibrant, full of character, and beautifully located in the heart of the old town. The restaurant was packed, and while that’s a good sign, it did affect the service. We only saw our waiter when he took our order, and another brought us the bill, which made it feel a bit impersonal. We shared the Mediterranean salad, and tried both the sea bream and the chicken. The dishes arrived hot and fresh, which we appreciated. The flavours were a bit on the mild side—not bland in a bad way, but definitely understated. That said, we’d rather season our own food than be overwhelmed by salt. Overall, the food was good, but not particularly memorable. You come here more for the experience and ambiance than for a standout culinary moment. Worth a visit if you want to soak in the local vibe, but maybe not a place we’d rush back to for the food alone.

Cons: Place is chaos. Took 15 minutes to be seated even with a reservation. People came in from two entrances and there were absolutely no staff to get the guests’ names. Some guests were passed around and were clueless how to get to their tables. Waiters had a “not my job/problem” mentality. They completely avoid eye contact with guests trying to find their tables. You could have at least referred the guests to the proper colleagues. The guy wearing all black, who I believe was the supervisor or in charge of reservations, could have done a better job. In my opinion, he should have been welcome the guests rather than staying behind the bar area. Pros: Service was actually better when we were seated. Serving size was very generous. I would recommend the adobo (fish dish).

We were a group of 8 People who made Reservations for a Birthday Dinner on a Friday Night. The Restaurant was quite packed, the Waiters seemed very stressed out. We got our Table real quick, which was good. But the Service itself was disappointing. It took a while until the Waiter took our Orders but unfortunately he forgot Drinks on the way back to our Table. The Menu wasn’t too big, prices are quite high but the Portions are small and the Taste was very unsatisfied. The Steak was ordered medium done but got delivered rare (bloody). The grilled Chicken Filet was not proper cooked but raw inside. The Vegetables on the side were served cold. After we placed our Orders, it was difficult to get hold of a Waiter to reorder Drinks. Not recommended! The Location itself is beautiful. A wonderful journey through time in countless pictures all over the place. The Jamon Counter is great, looks and smells delicious. The Bar is vibrant. The place might be wonderful to enjoy Drinks with your Friends but the Restaurant itself is not something I’d recommend as you rather pay for the Name than for the Quality of the Food.

El Pimpi is one of Málaga’s most famous and constantly packed spots. It is clearly benefiting from its reputation and popularity, thanks also to TikTok. We went knowing it would be busy, so we went early at 630 pm. The service was quite slow. This wasn’t surprising given how crowded the place gets. Food-wise, it was a mixed experience. We tried both croquettes (the abuela style and the shrimp ones), and unfortunately neither really stood out to us. They weren’t bad, just underwhelming considering the hype. The paella, which only appears on the menu from 8pm, was the highlight of the meal and genuinely worth the wait. The patatas bravas were the best thing we had there. Overall, while there are a couple of strong dishes, the food as a whole didn’t quite live up to the fame of El Pimpi. This feels more like a “famous place you’re supposed to try” rather than a must-visit for great food. That probably explains the 4.1 rating on Google, especially when compared to their other location, which has way higher score. If you really must go, just go early and manage your expectations.

La verdad que fuimos porque lo vimos en una cuenta de ig de gente “que te dice la verdad” y se ve que cada vez están más pagadas estas publicaciones. Comida sin mas, en un sitio que no está mal pero algo apretado todo. Lo mejor las croquetas, sin duda. Y el aceite que te ponen al principio, buenísimo con pan caliente.

Hemos ido a comer y no hemos podido disfrutar de la comida. Estábamos en la terraza, pero con los radiadores se estaba muy a gusto. A la pareja que había al lado no le ha parecido bien que estuvieran estos encendidos, incluso entraron a quejarse, por lo que los han apagado. A nosotros la camarera nos ha atendido lo mejor posible, poniéndonos a la espalda la estufa de gas, pero de frente daba el frío de frente y el contraste frío/calor era desagradable. Comprendo que cada uno tenga sus gustos, pero los comensales hemos pasado frío solo por la exigencia de dos personas. No ha sido hasta que estos se han marchado cuando hemos podido estar a gusto, nosotros y el resto de personas. Clientes somos todos.
