One of my absolute FAVORITE places to eat! Clean store, friendly staff, great food, decent price. Only "bad" thing was the tea was beginning to sour just at mid lunch. Once staff was aware, it was quickly switched out.

Great quality and quantity for the price, unlike subway 3-4 pieces of meat and a bunch of salad on top with very little condiments applied. Don't you know that costs more (extra)!!!! It's not extra at jrecks your sub comes with it at same price, unless you specify more meat or something like that. Tasty tasty tasty!!!!!

Building had a facelift and is much nicer than it's been in the past. Little bit of a larger menu and specialty seasonal items make each trip a delight. Pepsi products. My favorite are the deepfried green beans when they have them.

Food is always fresh and tastes amazing. I’ve been to other Jreck’s and they are also very consistent. The Jreck’s in Tupper Lake is also very delicious. Definitely beats Subway any day of the week. Jrecks actually puts meat on their sub and not just one slice. The rolls are also always fresh and soft. Whereas the few times I’ve gone to Subways, the rolls are harder than rocks. I frequently eat at Malone’s Jreck’s and receive the best service and food every time I go there. They’re fast every time too no matter how busy they are. I always order a whole turkey on white with American cheese, lettuce, Mayo and Russian, lettuce, pickles, peppers, and shakers side of fries and a Mountain Dew. Fairly priced with great deals. Very clean place too and they follow Covid guidelines.

I absolutely LOVE stopping for lunch at Jreck Subs. One of the only reasons I don't mind traveling for a living I can always get my Jreck Subs fix!

Jreck Subs is one of the last places in town where you can get dinner for two for less than $ 20 without it being fast food. Fast, clean service... Usually with a smile for under 20 bucks. Not a bad deal.

Subs were great so good we had to have them again except we went to the one in Champlain. I will definitely drive the extra 12 miles to Malone next time so worth it!

I love Jrecks so much better than Subway My favorite sub of the month? March-for the reuben sub. Least favorite? November - I just can't stomach their thanksgiving sub with turkey deli meat, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and what ever else is on it. Jrecks is generally fast. Call ahead to order for faster service.

The subs are tasty and the staff is eager to please. Everything and everyone looks very clean and neat. I've eaten at JRECK for years, and I'm grateful to the US Marshals for keeping the chain in business.

I’ve eaten here hundreds of times. I recently went in for a sub and the first person cut my sub roll a little too deep and it was almost in half. I’m not one to complain so I didn’t say anything. Taylor was working and she saw it wasn’t in good shape and got a new roll and fixed it without me asking. It’s nice to see some customer service and quality. Shoutout to Taylor at the Malone store.

I have been coming here ever since they opened, which has been probably 40 years. I was a small child and loved the food then and love it just as much now. The quality is always excellent and I have never had a bad experience with any of the staff. I know some people wish a standard sub had more meet but I have always found it to be more than adequate as I never leave hungry or wanting. Jreck subs is a local chain of restaurants with the taste a quality is pretty much the same at each one.

This is one of the best jrecks there is. The rolls are always great, which is the entire reason jrecks is great. The buffalo chicken and Philly cheese steak is spot on. I recognize a lot of the employees when I go in and it's nice to see familiar friendly faces each time. The store doesn't appear to have a lot of employee turnover, so it must be a nice place to work.

Subs and pizza rolls were delicious and I love that the meat was freshly cooked on the grill despite being fast food. Only complaint is that the garden "salad" was really just the lettuce and veggies that they put in the subs in a bowl. So don't bother with those and instead eat the subs and sides which were delicious and fairly priced!

JRECK Subs is literally The Best. I would take it over jersey mikes or subway any day. Don't miss out, if you haven't tried it then you are definitely missing out. I traditionally get a regular cold sub but they have some great fried sides and they have hot subs, soup and salads as well!

The rolls are always soft & fresh; the staff helpful & friendly. They've had recent shortages in some sides & supplies due to National supply chain problems. The place appears clean, although the women's bathroom could've stood a more thorough sterilizing the last time I visited.

I think it's got great food for a good price. $20 can get you two half subs, two poutines and two small sodas. It's a good fill up. I recommend the Steak and Cheese sub. Definitly my favorite restaurant around

Jrecks is above and beyond Subway. The bread is phenomenal. Meats are good. Always have plenty of extras to go with a sub. Prices however, are starting to climb. $18+, for a sub combo plus a side.

Strange deal with Jrecks. The Malone location is dated and small, but makes a solid sandwich and the staff are always friendly. That's not the case with all locations, though.

the mac salad was so disgusting but the sandwich was decent. I felt the 2 meals with drinks we got were definitly over priced for the quality of food we recieved. definitly nothing like the jerks I remember in Plattsburgh that closed

I’m the one that did the 3-star review but it was actually suppose to be 4-star, I have edited it. The atmosphere was great and clean. The female staff were extremely friendly to us which was great as most fast food chains nowadays aren’t. However we got the meatball subs and it got to the point where it was so soggy that we just took it all apart and just ate the meatballs (which were great). My suggestion would be to layer the bottom with cheese slices/lettuce (harder when it’s grated) to try to avoid the sogginess.

This is not a bad place to eat. I think Subway has better Subs overall but jreck Subs has a wider menu

Two stops while I visited the north on vacation recently. First time had stale bread and slow service, gave them another shot and they redeemed themselves on the food & service.

Real meat and fresh but limited toppings. Too bad there is no bread grilling. Not many sweet potatoes fries but they were hot and not mushy.

Subway has a copyright claim to look into lol. From the food to the decor its an ok place for a grinder but holy cow it's definitely a "MacDowells" situation

Regular sandwich shop. Simple and quick delivery of food once ordered. The soup was nothing special. The sandwich was ok.

During the day they are excellent. Many great employees who are very efficient. They had a great night crew for years but that is not the case now. After 5:00 pm they will not answer the phone for call in orders and the employees there during the evening seem like they would rather be anywhere else in the world but there.

It was a good place recently has gotten worse asked for light lettuce and got like 10 pieces on one side and none in the other, then another associate threw on 2 hand fulls so it was to dry to eat.

Poutine for the 2 kids was awful. The gravy was soured. When we told the staff they just said okay we will look into it. No replacement no refund or anything.

This place used to be the best. Their sandwiches are still good but the positions are humiliating. They cust the meat portions in the sandwiches which to be honest would not bother me. It's their sides that are ridiculous! A portion of fries is maybe the same as a kids meal fries at McDonald's. Same for the cauliflower or pickles. I doubt I'll go back cause theily are just abusing their customers at this point.

The bread was soggy and terrible tasting, and that was right after they made it for me. It would have and could have been a really good sandwich if it didn't taste like they soaked the bread in water beforehand. Maybe they have something else good on the menu I don't know but I was not impressed.

Staff and experience during the day is great. But whenever I get a sub after 5 PM it’s probably the worst experience. I ordered a chicken parm with extra cheese and sauce and what you get is shown in the picture below. The bag it came in was soaked, there is not any cheese and the bun is completely wet and soggy. My wife ordered a turkey bacon and she didn’t get any bacon on it. She also ordered a side with BBQ sauce and didn’t get that either. We tried to call and complain but 98% of the time they will not answer. We were surprised they answered when we called to order, we gave them 20 minutes to have it ready and when I got there, it still was not done and they only had a few customers. They did answer once and then immediately hung up and we tried again right after and no answer. This is very rude and even if they are busy they could at least say please hold and not just answer and hang up. Of course we paid for all of the extras but don’t get it and try to complain but they don’t allow it apparently. I have been going to Jrecks for a long time and all of these bad experiences are really making me to never want to go back. The price goes up but the quality of the food has decreased.

The absolute worst jrecks of them all!! It’s called fast food. No reason why it takes 3 different people to make one sub. Or the fact they never answer their phone!

This place should have been shut down years ago. If you’re a vegetarian or just looking forward to having an eggplant parm sub, don’t bother. They have never had eggplant in stock. I can only come to the conclusion that they have never ordered it in the first place. Why they don’t just take it off the menu I don’t understand. The staff has never been super friendly. I’m done with their terrible options and will not be going back.

No 0 star unfortunately. I use to love once in a while enjoying jrecks not anymore. Changed their onion rings and I'll never get them again. Got a half sub simple ham and cheese and a soda. $13 and change. Dont get me wrong I know food costs but that price jump is ridiculous not to mention it had no taste and I feel sick this afternoon since eating that. Not happy at all!!!

Awful went inside to get order. Watch them make it. Pay for it. Stand to side for our side order. Get called, grab our order to get home and it's not ours. Try to call 4 times to only get the mailbox is full. Use to love going there not so much now.
