Schöne Location direkt am Wasser, der beste Kaffee in der ganzen Umgebung und sehr herzliches Service. Die Speisekarte ist vielseitig und alles, was wir bis jetzt probiert haben, war top. Und der Preis ist auch sehr ok - für uns immer wenn wir da sind ein tägliches Muss fürs Frühstücken!

Amazing! Very warm (and fast!) service and reasonable prices. Highly recommended! Beautiful setting with morning and all-day sun. You can also understand how popular it is by how busy it always gets.

Breakfast good here and nice coffee. For lunch had chicken wrap which was decent. Others had chicken ciabatta which were on the big side bread wise. Service solid and seem to know what they’re doing. Beers ok but can’t get on board with lager in a Guinness glass 🤷🏻‍♂️

As we were very hungry we decided to go for burgers. It was a great choice to go to this American bistro. The beer was cold and good, and the portions... Well the portions were much bigger than we anticipated. It came even with fries that we didn't know that it will do! Overall the dish was delicious, staff very friendly and helpful.

The owner in this place I don't know how he does it he's a marvel, such a nice guy always happy to chat and always has is eyes on his business a great operated. We stopped here for breakfast and brunch and were epic. We've also sampled his steak restaurant across the marina el Gaucha I think it's called , well the fillet steak was amazing and cooked to perfection. Keep it going pal amazing !! 5 ⭐️

We namen 2 weken terug vrienden mee vanuit Estepona om Duquesa haven te laten zien. Zin in een hapje en deze locatie zag er leuk uit en er liep een vlotte en aardige dame. We hadden echt heerlijk eten en een perfecte Irish koffie die je niet overal warm en goed krijgt :) Vandaag de wandeling gemaakt vanaf La Sal en hopend dat er nog een tafeltje was bij deze nieuwe favoriet. Dat was er. Op de terugweg zagen we dat er bij Sabinillas ook nog een is :D We zullen hier vaker komen want nog genoeg op de kaart gezien dat we willen proberen

Very nicely located café on the Sabinillas promenade. Staff are friendly and there is a good selection of food. If you want a coffee ask for the 'grande' as it is only 25c more and you get a mug instead of a little cup!

Nice enough cappuccinos, and great location, although some might not like the cinnamon that's automatically dusted on the top. I love it though, so it's fine with me!

Solides Essen. Im Januar um die Mittagszeit waren die drei Servicekräfte anscheinend im Stress. Im Hintergrund war zu hören, dass sich eine Kundin über das Essen beschwert hätte. Wir hatten Quesadilla (12) und das Huhn "Italian Job" (14,50), beides ordentlich und der Preis der Lage angemessen. Inkl. 2 x Wasser und Trinkgeld 33 Euro

Let down by the staff. Without customers they wouldn’t have a job. Very abruptl and not even the courtesy to look at you while serving. The coffee was nice and the apple cake was some mass produced then defrosted item. We won’t visit again.

Kind of expensive relative to other places. 2 scrawny slices of bread for French toast with very fake maple flavored syrup for $6. Not even a slice of fruit on the plate.

Food has gone downhill from last year

Food quality very low, prices high for what you get. Ordered the chicken wrap and plain burger with 2 large diet cokes. Came to 28 euros. Food was of poor standard. Chicken wrap was soggy and tasteless. Burger was tastless and full of gristle. Felt very overcharged for what we got. Will not be going back.

Menu looks ok, it's what you'd expect from a place with 'American' in its name. Went there for lunch and ordered various items. Although it was quite busy we didn't expect a waiting time of almost an hour. When the food finally came it tasted bland and everything was overcooked. Cheeseburger and steak wrap were below mediocre, the rack of ribs was ok. Gambas pil pil were good plus our waitress was very nice and helpful.

Best thing about it was the cup of tea. Chicken curry tasted like chicken noodle soup and no curry flavour at all. Despite being listed as a medium curry. My wife suggested this place so her punishment was a goulash she described as horrible.

Endroit fréquenté par des anglais qui semblent être de bons pigeons Toasts au jambon et fromage sec et d’une qualité + que moyenne, un croissant moyen, un jus d’orange même pas frais mais industriel, un muffin issu d’un supermarché, une confiture et du beurre industriel .. seule ma fille a apprécié son smoothie aux épinards et son chiabatta fromage + jambon (+0,85€ pour les tomates) Et l’addition aurait pu être de 55€ au lieu de 34€ si je n’avais pas fait attention (apparemment a cause d’un problème de machine) Bref un attrape touristes a fuir …

Es ist lustig zu beobachten, dass dieser Ort täglich von Engländern in Beschlag genommen wird und ständig vor allem vormittags scheinbar ausgebucht ist. Meine Erfahrung dort war mittelmäßig, eine Servicekraft für ein voll belegtes Café; somit dauert es sehr lange bis man bedient wurde und dann sein Essen auch noch erhielt, die Preise für das Essen sind sehr sehr hochpreisig das Essen an sich ist jetzt nichts besonderes. Das Ambiente der Bar sieht schön aus und schöner als andere Bars in dieser Straße, ich würde es trotzdem nicht weiter empfehlen.

I’m not sure what the staff’s issue was, but from the moment we sat down at The Cafe American Bistro in Duquesa Port, it felt like we were being treated as if we didn’t belong. While we watched the staff interact warmly and attentively with other customers, our experience was the complete opposite — cold, dismissive, and borderline rude. It’s baffling, considering we came to enjoy a meal and spend money just like everyone else. The woman who approached us to take our order (pregnant and clearly not in the mood for hospitality) set the tone with, “Are you eating here?” — as she reached to snatch the menus out of our hands. Yes, we were eating. We ordered the American pancakes and French toast, asking for a side of scrambled eggs with each. Her response? “Yes, but that’s extra.” Well, obviously. No need for the attitude. The food took around 20–25 minutes to arrive — not a problem, assuming everything is made fresh, as they claim. But unfortunately, the pancakes were far from “American” — no fluff, no richness, no nostalgia — just flat discs that only the maple syrup could somewhat redeem. As we sat there, we noticed new customers being welcomed with smiles and genuine enthusiasm. Meanwhile, we continued to feel like an inconvenience. We asked for the bill — it didn’t come. The place wasn’t even that busy. Eventually, Marco came over. His friendliness and professionalism were a breath of fresh air and honestly the only reason I’m not giving this place zero stars. He handled the payment with a smile and proper service, which made the contrast in treatment even more obvious. It’s disappointing to feel so unwelcome in such a beautiful location. Hopefully, someone from management reads this and reflects. Hospitality is about consistency — and every customer deserves to be treated with kindness and respect. We won’t be coming back.

Extremely overpriced place. One of the worst breakfasts of my life and the most expensive by far. Very overcooked omelette, even fried, almost €10 and it comes without even a bit of bread. Really bad ham sandwich… so are the rest of the dishes. Never again.

Arrived 22.10 to be kept waiting nearly 10 minutes. Served adjacent table with drinks and then told us they were closing in 20 minutes and we should sit at next restaurant. Why weren’t we told on arrival? Hardly busy, certainly slapdash. Poor reflection of a long standing bar - we won’t return!

Croquettes tasted wrong and gave my girlfriends stomach “troubles”, chicken wings were overcooked and Pina colada was shredded ice for some reason. Usually don’t complain, but this was really not recommendable

Usually very positive about this place, but this time the waitress wasn’t understanding at all. I found a hair in my wrap, and when I showed her, she said that it couldn’t be from someone in the kitchen because all the cooks were bald… she implied that it was a hair from my boyfriend. That couldn’t be possible, because it was literally IN the wrap. Didn’t get a new one or at least an apology.. it was at the cocktailbar next to this place, but actually this is one company with the exact same food and menu, so that’s why I post this here.

AVOID this place at all costs. They cannot make a pina colada at all. NO taste of alcohol whatsoever and when i complained they tipped some cheap rum into the same glass and restirred. We ordered appetisers and main courses and everything arrived at the table at the same time. The bacon and cheese potato skins tasted very odd. The presentation of the chicken Caesar salad was nice - in a large filo basket- but the chicken was like rubber. The only good bit was the avocado on the top. Distinct lack of Caesar dressing. We asked for more Caesar dressing and were brought sour cream then charged €0.85. I complained at the end of the meal and the girl in charge ( who wore latex gloves then proceeded to run her hand through her hair) said she was going to take nothing off our total bill which was €77 for three of us. Awful place to eat. Worst meal we’ve had in years.
