Not far from the city center, near Piazzale Gramsci, lies this establishment offering a wide selection of carefully selected and perfectly tapped beers. The cuisine is typically Alpine, inspired by the flavors of Trentino and its traditional dishes. Dishes include canederli (dumplings) and polenta, shin of pork, and goulash. Selection and sophistication are paramount here, too, as is the selection of cured meats and cheeses. The staff is highly knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The service is pleasant, as is the atmosphere. The furniture and decor are in keeping with mountain tradition, with a few contemporary touches and accessories. Parking is available along the surrounding streets.
Excellent experience at this place, with a unique decor. A wide selection of beers, featuring iconic brands from Germany, Italy, and other nearby countries. The meat dishes were carefully prepared with good-quality ingredients, and the price was average. Recommended place
Various charcuterie boards, meat, sandwiches, all excellent service, but when you book, if you want to eat outside, remember to choose chairs or benches 😭... Update... We went back it was an evening with live music with a very talented and beautiful Elisa Rastrelli and an equally talented bass player. Fantastic evening 👏
I visited this house for an after-dinner drink, and after seeing the menu, I returned for dinner the following evening. Quick dishes featuring meat and polenta, typical of German regions. The place is actually a converted house, with a large garden for the summer. Parking is difficult to find, even though it's on the outskirts of Mantua, but still in a residential area. The bathroom is spacious and clean, with an anteroom and paper towels. The service was competent and courteous. On the waiter's recommendation, I drank a "Vertiga" beer, which was very good and highly recommended. At the end, they offered us a fennel liqueur, also very good and unique.
This place, with frequent live music, offers a wide selection of beers and freshly made sandwiches with a Tyrolean twist. The staff is extremely friendly, and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. I went in the summer, so I was able to enjoy the lovely, well-maintained outdoor space in front of the place. Despite being the height of the Mantua summer, we weren't bothered by insects or the heat, perhaps thanks in part to the fans in the space.
I haven't even tried the food here, but I am going to go on a whim and give them 5 stars anyway because I am sure it is good and everything else was perfect. My favourite place for a drink in Mantua.
This restaurant is located very close to the center of Mantua, very beautiful and welcoming. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The food is very good and definitely worth the price, which is still not high compared to other restaurants of the same type. The menu offers a variety of choices, including many types of beer.

Interesting place, good beer, well-stocked beer, and traditional South Tyrolean dishes. The charcuterie board is worth it 😊😊😊—every slice melts in your mouth!!!! The young, friendly, and helpful staff are always available.

Welcome to the home of speck. The restaurant is located in Mantua. It has a small outdoor area, a tidy, clean interior, and friendly, fast staff. We had the shank and ribs, and they were well-cooked, tasty, and plentiful. The Trento DOC is also excellent...🥳 Recommended.
A restaurant outside the city center, but always very busy and with a great atmosphere. The dishes are good, plentiful, and emphasize strong flavor. The meat is tender and excellent; the goulash with polenta is recommended. The service is a bit slow and inattentive, inevitably leading to longer wait times. Good value for money; the slightly high prices are offset by the large portions.
Located a short walk from the center. A quaint place. With wooden benches and a nice bar with various beers on tap. Spread across several floors, it also has outdoor seating. The food is quite good: pretzels, platters, meat, and polenta with mushrooms and cheese are all excellent. Good beers, very friendly staff. Prices are moderately high. Don't expect a quiet place; it's always very crowded, and at the entrance, you might find people playing guitars, pianos, or singing.

It's a little corner of paradise where you can enjoy Trentino/Austrian specialties, including pretzels and other delicacies. There's no shortage of other delicacies, such as fries, onion rings, and Camembert croquettes, as well as excellent beers. It's a place for a different kind of lunch or dinner. The quality and speed of service could be improved.

The place is quaint and very welcoming, with wooden benches typical of mountain huts. The staff is friendly. The dishes on the menu are inviting, a mix of Tyrolean and Bavarian cuisine, and the beer list is also extensive. Given the premise, I expected better quality; the baked potatoes were a bit undercooked, and the pear and chocolate tart was really hard. We didn't try the cured meats, which I think deserve better. The prices are average for local restaurants, perhaps a bit excessive for some dishes.
We had to return recently, not by choice; I'd say the change in management hasn't helped, quite the opposite. The goulash has nothing Trentino about it (plus, two different portions at the same table don't look good), the fried food is very sad, clearly supermarket-quality and presented in a way that's unsavory except among friends, the tricolor dumplings only had two colors, and so on... What a shame. For the rest, the old review is confirmed. >>>n Went for dinner with friends, everyone satisfied except the vegetarians. I understand the 'spek house', but aside from three fried dishes, cucumbers, and pretzels, there's only one dish for non-meat eaters... Saturday night it was even sold out (already at 7:50 pm). The outdoor setting is nice, but there are too many mosquitoes, managed only with a few mosquito coils here and there; the inside is a bit cramped. The price is reasonable.
Dear Management of La Casa dello Speck, I am writing to you as President of the Mantua Ukrainian Diaspora Association to express our community's profound discontent regarding the day dedicated to Russian cuisine scheduled for December 29th. While we understand that gastronomic culture is distinct from political decisions, we believe that in this tragic historical moment—marked by an extremely bloody war—the decision to promote such an event is inappropriate. Celebrating the traditions of a state carrying out military aggression could be perceived as a sign of indifference to the ongoing human tragedy and the thousands of victims. Many people in our community have been directly affected by the war and experience the pain of loss and uprootedness on a daily basis.
