Love Waffle House for breakfast & must say that Marshall, TX Waffle House is no exception!! Awesome wait staff, superb cook, & overall a friendly place to eat good food. Tonya made us feel very comfortable and a part of the community with her sweet smile and joyous attitude. Definitely a stop when we are in the area.

This location has maybe 7 employees, they have reduced hours, I've seen so many negative reviews in the past few months. The people who work there are clearly burnt out. If you're complaining about the speed of service, kindly pick up an application or pipe tf down.

I had a fantastic experience at Waffle House thanks to Jessie and Moriah! The coffee was perfect, the biscuit and gravy were delicious, and the peppered and covered hash browns were just what I needed. Their service was friendly and efficient, making my visit memorable. Will definitely be coming back!

If you're looking for great food at reasonable prices with a no frills atmosphere, this is the TOP PLACE to go! It has that "older malt shop" feel to it. Quick service is the first real plus too. Plus, it is open 24 hours a day and everything on the menu is available.

My date & I stopped there, on our way back to Tyler, late at night. The staff was pleasant and attentive. Our order was correct, hot, and delicious. This was my 3rd time every eating a Waffle House. Just as we were driving off, our server brought my glasses out to me. [I thought I had left them in the car.] I greatly appreciated that! She could've just assumed I'd be back in to get them. I will definitely make them my late night pit stop.

You either are going to love it or hate it. Waffle House has its own atmosphere. The coffee is great along with the waffles. When we travel Waffle House is our choice for either breakfast or dinner.

For a Waffle House, this one gets 5 stars! It was quiet despite being busy, clean, friendly staff, and food was great! The bathroom was unisex and clean, however it didn't have a changing table. Overall an enjoyable experience!

The staff was friendly and the jukebox music was great, I went in around 5:30PM, 3 workers, all extremely nice, the toast is good, the waffles are good just a little think, and the hash browns are ok. They even decorated a small tree for the Christmas season. Overall this waffle house was great and I would love to eat here again

It is the one place in Marshall that hasn't gone to hell in a hand basket!! STILL cozy STILL got great food atta great price for great quality and quantity food... STILL have cooks that can cook and waitresses that keep us coming back for more!!!

The food was perfect. The cook knew exactly what he was doing, and he was quick, too. Our waitress was friendly and sincere. I wish the TouchTunes had been working, but it didn't come up on the app. In all, this is a great Waffle House.

Due to construction on the road the main entrance to the restaurant is easy to miss. The atmosphere and cleanliness of the place depends on how well staffed and how busy they are, but all the times I've visited I wws seated pretty quickly. The waffles are amazing as to be expected, but even better is the off menu omelets they would prepare if you asked for one. The servers are friendly and are accommodating for being cooks aswell. Good for for a great price.

I may be biased since this is my hometown waffle house, but this is my favorite place to eat around there. The food is reliably good, and the people are fun to watch. I'm always impressed watching the servers work with each other in such a small area. Definitely recommend this place if you want good comfort food without too much wait.

Tonight my fiancé and I ate at waffle house at 830 pm in Marshall tx. The staff was so nice and super friendly. They worked well together as a team. They were helping each other and working together and it made for a great relaxing atmosphere. The food was hot and fresh and i never ran out of coffee... Were not the kind that randomly goes out at 830 but we were traveling back home from the holidays and intrusive thoughts got us and we were super impressed! Thanks guys!!

Stopped by with my kids on the way to drop off my daughter. My son and I got the All-Star Special, and my daughter got a plate with grits, toast, and eggs. The food came out fast and everything tasted great. We were probably in and out in 30 minutes - perfect when you're on the go. 👍

But today our waitress was exceptionally went above to ask multiple times questions to make sure we would not have anything wrong. Like do you want your bacon more crispy or waffle done more. We stopped in at noon today and all the tables were full. That's okay, we love to sit at the counter and watch the action- and today they were rocking it! All 6 employees we saw were busy cooking, prepping, checking on customers and cleaning -so much cleaning! They were so polite to each other, joking around but working together - seemed like a true team effort. Food was delicious, but the team at this Waffle House is what made it a 5star experience.

I stayed next door just so I could have breakfast here. It is Saturday morning at 730. I had a few minutes wait till they opened another section. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I loved the older white lady. The food was cooked to perfection. I like my eggs hard. The grits were delicious. When I get to a Wafflehouse, I always get the All-Star special. They are usually good. The grits is usually the hardest to get right, and they got them right.

As one would expect, sunday after church is real busy. The quality seems better on Sunday than any other day of the week. Servers are polite and attentive. Much better choice than the near by International house of something or other.

My go to place for good food. They're always clean, great people, good prices

It was ok despite the.fact that it was very busy die to the hurricane. In Louisiana people were stressed but the food was good and on time. Love waffle house grits and eggs.

I'm always amazed watching these guys cook. The team here on the weekend mornings work really well together. They operate like a well-oiled machine. We had our food within 10 minutes and the place was packed with customers. The food is Waffle House food, so if you like it, you like it.

Visit: 12/11/2025, 6PM. We decided to stop on our way to CA (don't ever drive from VA to CA) and it was both our first time eating Waffle House. One thing about being on the road for twenty plus hours is that you are a bit cranky and tight so perhaps that masked the welcome that I don't believe I heard upon entering the establishment. I believe a Jairon was my husband and I server and he was pleasant. Called me ma'am and ensured he took down my order accurately. He even stopped by MULTIPLE times to confirm we had everything we needed and ask if everything was good. And though I was a bit surprised by the american cheese that was on everything lol, that white lady who cooked our food did a damn good job as everything was truly divine. The atmosphere is ranked low because there was a third employee whose name I didn't get as she really gave NPC in the worst way. There was a reluctance to assist people as they came in and a gentleman who was waiting at the counter seat had to exclaim how he was waiting for 10 mins without being acknowledged. She was not friendly and her aura darkened the mood. The four stars are for Jairon and the cook.

The waiter said they were out of coffee and would be brewing immediately. Shortly after the coffee was served semi warm and in a dirty cup. They fixed the problem by really brewing fresh coffee served in a clean cup. Silverware was a lil spotty but not dangerously dirty. The staff, cook and waiters, were extremely nice and accommodating.

The food was good. Not the cleanest place but most Waffle Houses aren't. The cook started smoking right outside the front door which was a turn off. The waitresses weren't very friendly either.

Food was good. There were 2 open booths when we got there. Both dirty. Nobody greeted us, we just stood by the dirty booths with a dirty high chair still there... Food was good, but they took forever them to bus the tables after someone got finished eating. There was foir empty table.someone had already ate at that stayed dirty the whole time we where there and other tables became empty from people eating and they left all the dirty plates and and glasses in the tables. Some where left for over an hour

Ordered scattered hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy. The hashbrowns were nicely cooked, but the biscuits were not even biscuits and the gravy looked like it was scooped out of a can and slapped on there. Also the biscuits and gravy was cold so they threw it in the trash and offered to make me something else. The place was nasty and there was trash all over the floor.

My mom and I went yesterday which was saturday to get breakfast , now this was our first time ever going to Waffle House especially ordering. The waiter who took our order seemed like she wasn’t in a mood to take our order and seemed annoyed . After we were done ordering we forgot to ask her for drinks so we asked for two orange juices.Once we asked she got mad rolled her eyes and turned around to get the juices .We asked nicely and it wasn’t for her to react that way . With it being our first time going it was a bad experience being treated that way .

Food still good service is all right. It depends on who's on duty whether you get the classic waffle House calls for food or not. I can't complain it's open 24 hous. And I'm still mad about them removing the all you can eat menu. Back in the day it was the bomb

Asked for cheese and onions on hash browns they brought it to me without onions no big deal they sauté some onions and put it on my hashbrowns then second round of hashbrown weren't Krispy like the first and onions weren't sautéed. Overall 3 stars for not being consistent either way it taste great 👌

The service and the food were fine, but I have a major issue with the bathroom situation!! Two unisex bathrooms?! I am an older woman who prefers not to have to use the restroom behind men who urinate on the seat or leave it up. The bathrooms were not particularly clean to start with and needed tissue, but I am offended that women can’t have their privacy without male intrusion. I doubt a single person would be offended by a restroom designated for women and another for men. Biology recognizes two sexes. One bathroom should be for men and the other for women. The world has gone berserk. I am sorry to see Waffle House, one of my preferred places to dine, succumb to social pressure and political correctness.

Chili was great and their hash browns nare nice and crispy! Restrooms and restaurant are clean and tidy. Parking lot is a little tight for a big rig, so park at the Rodeway in next door of that is what you are driving.

Our waitress was friendly. We were the only ones in the restaurant yet it took 25 minutes to get our food due to bickering over who would cook our order so finally our waitress cooked it for us. Which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. While we were waiting for our food, a waitress had a visitor come in and they proceeded to hold a very loud conversation that could be heard inside the restaurant. While my food was great, this experience was by far my least favorite Waffle House experience.

Our server did not seem to want to be there. She seemed rather unhappy to see us there. No smile, no greeting or anything. It was my first time being at a waffle house and she seemed annoyed anytime me or one of my siblings would take a little while to order. Normally at restaurants they ask for drinks before you order the food and here you order the drinks and food together and she never asked us if we wanted drinks so maybe this was on us but when we asked for another coffee after ordering she just turned around and said "Well y'all didn't order a coffee." while walking back. She did give us a coffee later though and we were still missing 2 drinks but we were too uncomfortable to ask. The food was alright but the service made the whole experience rather uncomfortable.

This visit was not good at all. The waitress did pretty good, the cook needed to go home. She was mad because some one quit earlier and left the by themselves. I ordered waffles and after she started cooking my food she let me know I couldnt have waffles they had no waffle spray. I ordered eggs over easy and they were cooked over hard. She slammed pans around. She was just rude and hateful. If you don't like your job get out. Something needs to be done about her attitude and teach her how to cook eggs.

The restaurant wasn't clean. It had an odor that smell a old moldy house that been shut up.

The place was not busy, but wow could it use some cleaning. I am guessing the staff are left unsupervised and undertrained on good restaurant cleaning and service. The server was friendly but overbearing on checking in on us. Then, the two employees I don't think I will be back to this Waffle House.

They completely overcharged me on what I ordered,I ordered a patty melt for $6.50 an order of hash browns for $3.25. My waitress charged me $14.40. I had to argue with her and tell her that she overcharged me. She was a little smartass. First two pictures of the first bill given and how she wanted to charge me. Second,one is how I asked her to redo it how I ordered it. The cook however did a great job cooking it.

I am a regular customer, I ordered breakfast recently at the counter and then waited 15' -20' before getting even a glass of water. I was witness to a general employee coffee break amongst the booths while only a couple remained frantically working to fill an enormous take out order requiring several shopping bags. Perhaps either your priorities should be examined or the restaurant design should change from that of the current rather quaint 1940s diner design.

My mom, my granny and I walked in to sit down and none of the waitresses had a smile on their face when we sat down. About 2 minutes after we had sat down, we noticed a bug on the table, so my mom just flicked it off like “ok that’s kind of gross.” And right after that there was a roach crawling onto the table and our booth was right next to the kitchen.

Words can't explain! I'm going to contact someone on the upper side to explain that is how horrible it is and I will never return or recommend non of my fellow truckers 2 go there!!!

My mother and I went in to get some food before our long drive back to Dallas. Tons of workers, a few empty tables and nobody approached us for over 30 minutes to seat us. I’m ashamed that this place didn’t acknowledge us. I also never received treatment like this back in Dallas at ANY of the Waffle House locations. I hope nobody else in the near future has to wait like we did (it wasn’t even busy).

Closes at 9pm. Nobody bothered to take any step to inform customers of this in any way other than locking the door. Waffle House is just in a horrible mess. I used to be a huge fan before 2020. Now, as unreliable as they've become, what's the point?

Absolute trash. The management has their whole family working up there. Allowing them to assault other employees and taking the familys side. Is awful to the employees that arent related. Extremely unprofessional. I was at the hotel next door tuesday, december 13th, and witnessed a full on fight in their parking lot between employees. The manger just watched and the cook came out and broke it up. The girl who is the managers neice still has her job, while the girl who was attacked was fired. Roy Hill needs someone managing his store that knows the difference between work and home before he ends up losing his business and marshall loses our waffle house! Ive been disgusted with this place for a long time, but this beats all ive ever seen. (I know who they are because i was a regular for a very long time, and worked there a couple of times. I quit because of the family in the work place drama and favoritism)

Thursday, June 8th. To Make a long story short. I asked for a cup of hot water, was told no by a waitress that need training on how to greet customers and need to buy a personality. She said I might burn myself with it. I told her thank you, I left and went to IHOP and got a cup of hot water to make my tea, great breakfast, nice waitress. Whoever the owner is at this waffle house in Marshall, Tx. you are going to lose a lot of business with those bad attitude workers. FYI

On our way back from the produce market we decided to stop here to get lunch. Upon walking in the establishment the floors were dirty there was a smell of sour mildew mop smell tables not cleared flies everywhere I mean everywhere. Mildew around the condensation AC vent. Staff was friendly food was prompt hamburgers wasn't very good so my daughter an old lady said. I Texas cheesesteak sandwich and hash browns and sweet tea was good. That trying to feed off all the Flies and the smell ruined the experience this is one of those that we will not forget and will not be back.

I've been to WH for some time across the US. This one was the sorriest one I've been to. But yesterday, my wife and I went there, my wife had a hamburger and I had 2 eggs, toast and grits. Well I didn't get grits and the bacon was undercooked. I tried to tell them what went on with my order, then nothing. We paid, we left and they mouthed off when we were leaving.

Very unprofessional, waiters were arguing and fighting. Tables and bar dining area were disgusting and servers were rude to me. Also refused to take my to go order

Their shirts say fast and friendly... the waitress moved away the pace of a turtle stuck in syrup and was about as friendly as a rabid porcupine. After watching her with others, we left without even eating. There's a McDonald's across the street. The food is gross but its quick and you don't have to deal with lip service

I went into Waffle House establishment recently and immediately noticed the dead and alive crickets on the floor as soon as I walked in. After walking in I was told that it would be a long wait BEFORE my order could be placed. Mind you, there was a family finishing eating, a guy at the bar waiting to have his order taken, and group of three in a corner waiting on their food. Me and the three others I was with went an ahead and sat at a table. The table was dirty we had to ask multiple times for it to be cleaned. All the tables in the establishment weren’t clean and we were told it was due to a rush they had prior to our arrival. Idk how long prior btw. So we sit down, table gets cleaned, and we talk for a minute til one of the two waiters comes up and takes our food and drink orders. We all ordered the All Star special ( waffle, eggs, hash browns or grits, sausage or bacon and toast) !! BUT some wanted bacon instead of sausage, some wanted extra stuff on the hash browns, some wanted not so crispy bacon…..just side notes right. It was about a 20-30 minutes wait again and then we were handed a plate of eggs, hash browns, and toast. One of the orders of hash brown was wrong but just needed chili added to it so we weren’t too worried about it. Now we only have a little part of each order so we start trying to eat. Five-ten minutes later our waiter comes back with sausage and bacon. NOW the sausage and bacon is served to us on two separate plates. Right before the waiter sits down the meats she goes “ohhh I might’ve mixed up the sausage”. We then realize we’re short an order of sausage and only one of us has bacon out of the two that wanted bacon. One of the members in my party starts questioning why everything is being brought out separately when we’d rather just wait and get everything together. This ends up turning into the whole tables interest and the two waiters both come over and are trying to come up with excuses on why the food is being brought out at different times. MIND YOU the food we did get WAS NOT HOT when we were given it. Sooooo if yall so called bringing it out as it’s being made which is why it’s taking so long….why my eggs ain’t hot. But anyway, one member of my party asked why only three strips of bacon was brought out and the second waiter claimed it’s because the grill is too small to cook the bacon. Okay miss ma’am. SO THEN This turns into a whole discussion that fills up the restaurant. The Cook then comes from the stove and just stands right in front of us with his hands on his hips, gloves off, just staring at us so a member of our party ask him “do you even have our waffles cooking?” HE SAYS NO AND WALKS BACK OVER TO THE STOVE WITH AN ATTITUDE. At this point, more and more people are walking in. Some are even walking out after being told they’d have to wait an hour just for their order to be taken. One girl we were talking to said she didn’t want to order and eat from there anymore because she could see something crawling around on the floor so she just waited on her friend. After a member of my party asking to speak to a manager, we were told there wasn’t one for night shift (it’s 2:30am at this point). Our waiter then offered to have the meal on the house and that she’d pay for it since not everything was being brought out at once which I mean…..it could’ve been right? I ate I little bit of my eggs and hash browns along with another member of the party. The other two didn’t really touch their plates. The second waiter asked the cook what to do AND HE TOLD HER TO THROW US OUT. We gladly got up and went to Whataburger cause sir u have an attitude because u were lazy and don’t wanna do your job. As we were walking out…..he was just then making the batter for “our waffles” mumbling stuff under his breath. It was just the rudeness of the cook and then there barely being people there but being told an hour wait was to take place when there was only ONE GUY and OUR orders that needed to be taken place. Food shortage???? Them being tired??? Idk what it was.

Eggs soft scrambled were cooked hard. It was so cold that the food was instantly cold and couldn't enjoy. Makes no since for it to be so cold inside and it's cold outside. Also the waitress went to restroom, came out and was messing around with her nose and NEVER washed her hands. That did it for us and we left. Don't plan to go back unless it's on the midnight crew. That waitress is very kind and clean. Please turn some heat on

I had a very bad experience with your employees on March 31, 2024, at about 9:00 p.m. and want to discuss this matter with you also. I will be going back tomorrow to speak with the manager. My dad is diabetic. He needed to eat during our trip back from Texas. Not busy at all. The cook took a break before cooking his food it took forever. Music was entirely too loud. Service was slow and unprofessional

Tried to sit down to a table but it was dirty. The second one was also dirty. The table had syrup in multiple spots. We grabbed a couple of menus and they were sticky with syrup. We all got our food at different times. While my son was waiting for his food he saw a "bug" on the table. The bug scurried away without getting taken care of. The only thing the staff did was apologize and give a 10% discount. Horrible experience. Ruined our dinner.

Says there open 24 hours but the employees there only taken to go order. But there is no sign stating that. It actually says come on in have a seat.

walked in waffle house at 815pm and was informed that the grill was down for cleaning and I couldn't order anything but waffles absolutely unacceptable the wait would be another 10 to 15 minutes. that grill shouldn't be cleaned before 10pm when the place is less busy not in the middle of a busy time. the waitress must have been deaf cause I had to repeat everything 2 or 3 times. I won't return to this waffle house ever again.

The employees looked like they didn't wash uniforms. Faces stuck to their phones. No coffee made, and when I did get a cup it was absolutely disgusting. The absolute worst breakfast house I have ever been in. I couldn't even stomach the food as I looked over to see two roaches walking across countertop. GROSS 🤢

Had I not been with a friend I would have left the moment I walked through the front door. Every single table was full of trash and dishes left from previous customers, literally every available spot. Our waiter had to clear a spot off of our choice so we could sit down and order. Our waiter, although very polite and friendly, claimed it was messy because they were short staffed and got really busy, yet there were at least 3 other employees in the restaurant and we were the only customers there for about the first 15 minutes of our sit down, nobody bothered to clean off any other tables up until other people showed. At which point they cleared off only the tables the other customers chose to sit at. The floors were also full of spilled drinks and trash. My friend and I each ordered the Texas Bacon, egg, cheese melt and when we received it they both had bacon, cheese and steak (??), no trace of an egg. My tea was old. Our table had at least two ants crawling around as well. Extremely disappointed.

I don't like to be that person, but today was the absolute WORST, standing at the counter for 20min waiting for someone to just acknowledge me. They all looked down when they walked by me, IT TAKES 2 SECONDS TO SAY HELLO , ILL BE RIGHT WITH YOU, ANYTHING!!I had a call in order that I watched them toss around the counter in a bag but not 1 single employee would look at me . After another customer spoke up with me about me standing there for so long they finally looked at me and still another 10 min to get cashed out. My food was obviously cold by then, my food was under cooked my sausage was pink hashbrowns were slimy and all just a mess from being tossed around.do better folks

Loved Waffle House until today. Staff is terrible, waited over 20 mins to get a clean table, after asking to get a clean table, stormy took her time to clean them up. I think a bit more of customer service training would be appropriate for the staff, as they seemed more into their own personal conversations than helping people there. Food is good but wouldn’t go back to this location.

If your of color do not eat here . My wife, our 2 infants, and I stood there for over 10mins waiting to be seated but a white male walked in and immediately got service. His waitress looked and us twice while she was cleaning a booth but she stopped in the middle of cleaning to help the white male that walked in after us. You could tell none of the staff wanted to help my black family .

Was gonna go eat here for the first time in forever, sat down, and ordered. The person that was with me told me to look behind me. There were grown and baby roaches on the wall right behind me!! I got my money back and left!!! SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN, CLEAN, SPRAY AND DON'T OPEN BACK UP UNTIL THE ROACHES ARE GONE!!!!! THAT'S NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!

Do not eat here. Staff has way to much drama to work, all they want do is stand around and talk about one another. We waiting for 15 mins for them to clean a table (it was busy) we understood we sat down waited 10 minutes for them to come take our drink order the lady who took the order was rude we didn’t even have menus and she was Saying what do you want to eat want to eat?! I explained to her I was unsure of want I wanted I didn’t have a menu she pretty much threw them at us I would 100% not recommended this Waffle House to anyone! Unless you like rude customers service and employees drama behind the counter. There was a total of like 6 people working and not a single one of them was waiting on tables we saw many people walking out with us! Better money spent else where.

The coffee was so burnt and the server was mad when ask for a new pot. She said I could wait when asked for the first cup. She has NO service about her. Thus night at 11:40. This is not the first time I have felt I had to wait when no one is here.

It was 3 of us we left the location because there was 4 cockroaches around us. 2 got on out table and the server saw them and told us we were good after we asked for the check and to just leave. She was nice but the rest of the staff didn’t even acknowledge us.

Ordered our food there was seven workers in there and only one cook. We sat there for 40 minutes and still she had not started our order. We will not be back at this waffle house ever again

Recently visited this Waffle House and the customer service and food was awful!! One of the workers came out and insulted me in front of my kids for no apparent reason ! The bacon was dry and like it was cooked in the microwave, grits was cold , eggs was cold and soggy , and raisin bread was burned ! I need management to reach out to me ! I will also be calling cooperate ! Horrible and worse experience for a Waffle House ecspecially off of a big highway exit where I’m sure many people stop by during their travels

I was disappointed with my recent visit. The food quality wasn’t up to expectations, and the coffee was served cold. Unfortunately, the service also fell short — the waitress seemed distracted and not very attentive. I hope the management can work on improving the overall experience, as Waffle House is usually known for better service and hospitality.

Place is dirty and they have roaches. Roach was crawling on our bench and outside in back of their building it was infested with roaches. When we told waitress about the roach her response was well I use mop water. Still had to pay for our food and it was no apology.

I've been to a lot of Waffle House restaurants over the years. Even worked in a few. And while the waitress was ok the food was absolutely horrible.

Tables were dirty. The dishes were removed but the table was left dirty so no one could sit down. Makes more sense to wipe it off once dishes are removed so customers can sit and then wait for someone to take their order, that's being productive, needs retrained on customer service

Two people working, one was taking a break when I walked in, but that’s understandable. There were about 4 tables sat, I don’t think any of them had food. I sat at the bar by myself for about 5 minutes. I didn’t get greeted, acknowledged, or even I contact so I just left. It’s the first time at this Waffle House, but most have employees that are much nicer.

First time ever coming to a Wafflehouse. Waffles were totally thin, charged us for a bowl of something we didn't have. When we questioned it, he didn't know what it was for. The workers did the best they could do. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Nothing was dirty. It does have a good old-fashioned cafe feel. It's quiet. We got 2 waffles and 2 hashbrowns and a drink and it was $23. We are still hungry. Go to IHOP around the corner.

Waffle House Marshall Texas In all of my life I have never witnessed what I am standing here looking at, I am looking at 2 employees out front smoking, and literally every table is trashed. I the grills and waffle mashers are disgusting. I asked what in the world was going on, the cook told me that they didn’t have a manager on 3rd shift, I’m going to take pictures and try to get them to WH leadership. I’ve been coming to waffle house since I was a little boy. I’d hate for them to get the reputation of being insanitary because this is not what they are about…..sad…if you saw what I’m looking at you would feel the same way.
