Love the food ,great selection at the buffet.

Came here with a party of 7 and received great service. This place is great to bring the family because of all the options they have. My kids loved the pizza, nuggets, and fries, while us adults loved to try out the Mongolian grill and sushi. Plan on going back very soon.

Love this place!! This was my second time grabbing lunch here with a couple of my bros, and this place is TERRIFIC!! The food is delicious, and the service is top-notch!! The temperature was a bit chilly inside the restaurant, but we made do. I HIGHLY recommend this place!!

Our favorite buffet for years, this last time we had a question about a dish, we let our waitress know, minutes later the head chef, Jorge showed up at our table, attentively and professionally listened to us and promised to take our comments into account. Lin's Buffet will continue to be our favorite Chinese food place

Very good variety, the sushi is always fresh and soft. Soups are well seasoned and not super salty and salad bar ice cold and restocked often. And the grill males your stir fry to order!! Always a great meal.

The food is better at this location than the one in Weslaco. Their drinks are very expensive. This lication is also very busy! They do offer a Senior discount, so don't forget to ask for it. Our server was fantastic!! She was very attentive and took very good care of us. She was definitely a very hard worker! The restaurant is a little noisy, but not as bad as some. We will return to this location.

With 15% tip our bill for 2 was $52. The wait staff will always have a soft drink refill for you. The All You Can Eat buffet includes sushi, Mongolian grill, many entrees, a salad bar, & a dessert bar. Ice cream also included. The price goes up a couple dollars after 4 pm, but they also have a Senior Discount. Restrooms are taken care of. Sit wherever you like.

Very tasty food, I usually go there 1 or twice a month, food is always tasty and hot, last time I got for take out and paid 52 bucks for 7 pounds of food, feeded 4 persons, the cashier lady is a sweetheart 🧁

Stopped by here on a Saturday evening and the place was busyand full of patrons. I was worried about getting good service but our server kept on top of things and was very attentive. The food was excellent. I wish I knew the names of the entrees so that I could recommend some but everything I tried was extremely good. The only thing that I wasnt empressed with was the sushi. It was just ok. I'll definitely be coming back again. Looking forward to it.

This is the first Lin’s Grand Buffet Restaurant in the US. It is the beloved place for the locals and travelers. It’s the best all you can eat Asian buffet in the town. Delicious food and great service

Absolutely the best Chinese buffet open in the valley. They offer a salad bar, sushi bar, Mongolian grill, and of course the buffet rows. You have a little bit of everything, Chinese, American, Mexican…etc to comfort foods and maybe outside of comfort foods to try. Some items can be hit or miss, but for the majority of the buffet the quality is superb. Staff is always friendly and attentive. This is my second time going this week. We went before closing and it was so nice of them to let us grab a bite after a long day. 10/10 would recommend.

So far its the best Asian inspired buffet we've visited in the Mcallen area. All of the food looked fresh and hot. More importantly it tasted fresh. Buffet was promptly being refilled when needed. We will be returning.

Nice clean environment. The steam table food was just OK. Shrimp, craw fish and other seafood option. A hibachi option and fresh sushi that was good.

Certain food items were out of stock the entire time I was there. The sushi is good and they have a nice variety of that. Missing were the coconut shrimp and wings but for a buffet it is a good one.

Food was good. Place is busy enough to where food doesn’t sit there for a long time. For it being a buffet price was not bad. Service in my eyes was not as great. When I asked for a refill and a glass of water, the waiter seemed irritated by it.

Great Asian buffet, with good options for children who don't want Asian. Sushi made fresh, and Stir Fry made to order. One of my favorite places when I come to the Valley!

Great place to eat, they have some decent buffet food. Most buffets are very mediocre and bland. Lin's has good variety and alot of great sushi to make. Most places don't allow you to dress your sushi and pile toppings. Very recommended to all my buffett eaters.

Pretty good deal and convenient location. $15 USD per menu. A lot of different options. Fried shrimp was my favorite. There is also mongolian grill.

I really enjoyed the vast selection of food. Being a "Sushi nut" the sushi bar was adequate but needed to be refreshed as the Wasabi appeared a but old and the ginger was sticking together. Other than that the Sushi was delicious just like everything else. I look for Wonton soup every time... unfortunately Wonton soup is not always on the menu. Great food, fast/courteous service and pleasant atmosphere. I will be returning.

Our first time here. You pay at entry. They had a big lunch time. All the.food was hot and fresh. I like all the variety of children. Their jalapeno checking was my favorite. Selection was large and the food was lukewarm. The restaurant was cooled to a level to make our food barely warm by the time we started eating. And there were no sauces available, even in individual packets. We ate too fast because we were becoming frigid ourselves! Not a good overall experience for us.

Not your authentic Chinese food experience. If you're looking for a variety of food and extremely hungry. This is the place for you. Prices are reasonable, service was average, and the atmosphere was pretty loud. Probably not coming here again. 😕

Lins used to be good but they’ve changed a lot of stuff. The wonton soup has been substituted for with this weird spicy soup with imitation crab and chili oil that taste more like water than anything. They dont offer sesame balls anymore and the service is not the best. I used to come here every few months but i dont see myself coming anymore.

The chicken was too crispy, and they did not have spicy mayo for the sushi. The noodles and shrimp were good. The waiter was great.

I've been a loyal customer since it first opened in the early 2000's. I don't take pleasure in saying that the quality declined slightly on my last visit. Mostly good as always, but the entire batch of General Tso Chicken was burnt and tough, like maybe the burner was on too hot or a new cook, perhaps? Like the rest of America, it is my favorite and the main reason why I eat at a Chinese buffet, so I was disappointed. Otherwise, like I said, it was ok. The sushi, egg drop and hot & sour soup were good as usual. I will return but will have to be more skeptical of my choices.

My daughters went to their first buffet a couple of weeks ago and my youngest requested to go to one for her birthday. I had not been to Lins in a long time and I was expecting great food and service unfortunately that was not the case. We had a horrible host who never came to our table. We had to place our plates on another table she had yet to bus. The food was ok, but the desserts were stale and the ice cream tasted like it had freezer burn.

It was okay. Variety they had enough. It's your typical Chinese buffet with nothing amazing about it. It was $16 for lunch and refillable soda for one person.

Great food and service, only got *4 stars because it is always freezing in there! I asked the staff about it and they said that is the way the owner likes it and will not touch the thermostat for anyone. *Just thinking about it makes me re-rate them down to 3 stars. 🥶

Food variety is good and tastes good. Atmosphere is a bit hectic but it’s to be expected with patrons moving about the food stations. Overall the restaurant is clean but restrooms could be better kept. The staff that brings you your drink are sometimes slow to come to your table when you first arrive.

All you can eat buffet. Very pricey, we paid $30 for two people with drinks. The service was good. Our waitress was good and always asking if we needed anything else. The bathroom was not so good. The floor was so sticky and smelly which only got worse as I walked further in. I don't recommend eating any seafood here, everything else is good. Overall I wasn't too happy with my experience.

I’ve eaten at other Lin’s, but this was the worst. The food tasted fine so 3 stars, but it was lukewarm at best and I was there 30 minutes after they opened. The butterfly shrimp and the dumplings were hard and overcooked. Some of the salads on the salad bar were so drenched in mayo they were inedible. Nice selection of fresh fruit though. The server finally brought me an iced tea refill as I was getting ready to leave. The restaurant itself is very cold, maybe that’s what’s cooling the food down so quickly.

The food was cold and chewy. You had to be on watch to get hot food when they brought it out. The worst were the sushi rolls. Hard, dry, tasteless. Even the chicken and broccoli was cold. The best was the salad. Fresh and crispy. The waitress came to refill our drinks only once and it was a little loud. If the food had been better, the price would have been excellent. A variety of food, including ribs, enchiladas, fruit dessert and ice cream.

There was a good amount of options, but the food was just okay. Overall, everything needed more flavor and it did not taste fresh to me. The hot and sour soup was very salty. I like that there was hibachi and ice cream. The cheesecake was very dense, but the coffee cake was very good. I don't think I would go again.

My wife and I dined at Lins Buffet located on Nolana between 2nd St. and McColl Rd. in McAllen. Basically, you pay an entrance fee, enter and grab an available table then barely sit there long enough to place a beverage order. With anticipation rising up so do you, and over to the plate stack you go. Me, I grab two plates. Anyways, Lins has like 4 rows of traditional favorites, and fried items. I was able to get hot fried Shrimp as the attendant was restocking it. My complaint would be there are way more chicken selections than beef or seafood. The salad bar offerings were fresh and well maintained, and fruit was also available. There were several sheet cakes cut in small squares to choose from. I chose a nice looking chocolate cake square, and a spice looking cake. The chocolate cake was dry as blank and the spice cake had no anything. To review, some dishes were really good, and some were just OK. I was disappointed in the green beans, always a fave of mine, but these were way too soggy. The overall quality was not there but if you are going for a food experience by all means go. Would I go back 🤔 probably in the way distant future.

No special difference or variety. Under seasoned dishes. More expensive. The only thing that was good was the crab but nothing to crack the shell with so it was a struggle to get out the meat. I would not come back. Two stars for the crab and waitress. She was attentive and nice.

Why are the enchiladas better than the kung pao chicken at a chinese buffet? Chow Mein seemed old and most noodles were hard and burnt. Don't know if they stopped trying because it was like 2 hours till close or because it's always like that. Will go again at an earlier time to see if it's better. Just ew. I got my first plate of food and as I started picking apart the sesame chicken (one of my favorites, I was really looking forward to it) I find out that it’s raw. Nearly all pink inside. I found the price to be extremely high for what you get. The food is obviously fixed in a rush. Not high quality at all. Huge chunks of chicken. Bit into several gross chewy pieces. And it’s FREEZING COLD in here!!!! $65 for a senior buffet and 3 regular buffets!!! For the money spent we could have enjoyed a much higher quality meal and not suffered in the sub zero temps!

Over the years it's become more sloppy , food is cold and left in warmers for hours, the tables are always so dirty as well as high chairs. The staff is dirty poking nose and rubbing on his clothes . That will be the last time we ever go there.

Food was horrible and bland. They have cut corners before and used dish soap bottles for sauces and were found to have soap still inside. Their health inspections have been better, but be careful. They’ve had other bad reviews for awhile now.Their food is still poor quality , taste, texture, and more bland than sand. I love food, so I know good food when I see it and bad food when I see it.

We were visiting from out of town and decided to stop here for food. First it cost 51.00 for 3 adults which was ridiculous. Second the food tasted horrible I couldn’t even finish my food it tasted that bad. Last as we were leaving the floor is sticky you could literally feel the stickiness and hear it as you walk out. Rude! The phone was answered by a Spanish speaking woman. I asked a question in English about shrimp allergy. She asked me if I meant the food in buffet, I said no the actual cooking. She paused and hung up on me. Well, she could have asked for help with translation from a coworker. Or does nobody on staff speak English? I'd rather not put my life on the line with service like this. Most restaurants are accommodating. I guess this one is not.

The taste of the food doesn't measure up to the standard of a Chinese buffet, the fish being dry with a discernible frozen taste, and the vegetables tasting much like well-cooked frozen rice. All staff are Mexican

I used to love this place years ago and every chance I got to visit the valley I would like to come with my family to eat here, however the quality has dropped immensely as of recently and the prices have risen. Food is not worth the price. Service is lacking and the place was even dirty.

Lin’s Buffet is by far the worst restaurant I have ever been to. I paid over $20 and was served food that was mushy, cold, and clearly not fresh. The seafood, which should have been hot, was cold and tasted fishy. Everything was extremely disappointing. On top of that, the servers were rude and incompetent, which only added to the horrible experience. This was by far the worst buffet in town. I will never return, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The ribs were cold, the noodles were lukewarm and super greasy… only one waitress that I saw but she was very nice and helpful… food is not what it used to be… the grouchy lady that cooks the specialties on the grill was super grouchy… for $17.50 per person, this place sucks and deserves only 1 star because there isn’t a lower score… DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

We used to eat here all the time but whatever update they did it, it ruined the place. Nothing has flavor and the only flavor they have is rotten meat. The only good thing to eat was the pasta. I wish I could just return the food and get my money back. Oh and the egg drop soup tasted like water, almost like it was just food coloring added into it. The wasabi was just cream, dirty green and not even close to spicy. The bread was hard as a rock. Oh and they serve you considering its a pandemic. They had a little bit more than 10 options to choose from.
