This Starbucks at Trancas is one of the most convenient stops on the west end of Malibu. Plenty of parking (a rarity in Malibu!), lots of outdoor seating, and fast service even during the morning rush. The baristas are always friendly, and the mobile order pickup area is really easy to navigate. What I love most is the setting — the whole Trancas Country Market has a relaxed, rustic feel, and this Starbucks fits right in. Great spot to grab a coffee before heading down to Zuma Beach or running errands around the center.

Stopped by on our way from LA to SB to get some coffee. The barista was friendly and kind, and the place was well kept. The restroom smelled bad, but everything else was great.

Easiest Starbucks option without getting too far off Hwy 1 outside of Malibu. Typical Starbucks fare and pricing. Great for a pick-me-up as you drive!

Very nice Starbucks but understaffed. The ques and amount of time it takes to get served and collect drinks takes ages. Just one barrista available. Need more support. If you want Starbucks go elsewhere otherwise you will be there for 20mins minimum.

Lots of people squatting at this place as an impromptu office during the day, so the WiFi can get slow and available power ports are absolutely minimal. Expect the best spots to camp out to be taken. Lines after before and after school in the area can be brutal, and on the weekends during summer, forget about it: everyone and their brother is here. But on weekday mornings it's relatively quiet, even if there isn't much available seating with the local squatters in there 8+ hours a day.

Know that this Starbucks can get busy at times. But it is clean and they are quick with taking orders and serving the coffee. With Starbucks is you either love it or not, all the rest is simply the place and the people who run iy.

It’s funny how one rude interaction can make you not want to go back. The ladies that work at this location are lovely and cheerful every time I visit. Today, I entered to check in for my mobile order and was immediately barked at by a male employee to “GO stand on a circle”. No “good morning” or asking if I had been helped. I stood on the circle for about 10 mins, watching my food get cold before I chose to go stand in the line to order so I can collect my order. I get that Starbucks is a very busy place and new regulations make things difficult but attitudes like this one usually don’t make it better 😕

really like this Starbucks, great location. always busy but great service. my one big problem was the last time I went had a Iced green tea and they gave me a paper straw. I am all for non plastic but not when you taste paper and the straw does not last maybe the company should have done more test on the problem, bamboo works great.

Starbucks raised our prices, but lowered the quality. Their cups start decomposing while you’re drinking it even first sip. I’ve lost so many clothes because of Starbucks. Now I’m done. I’ve moved on.

I feel bad for them, however they should treat friendly customers a little better, I wasn’t totally happy with the service. I was literally standing behind my Dad in line (we were paying separately) and some lady (barista) told me to back up. Ummm… I was in the right spot, no need for ‘tude! That being said, the coffee was phenomenal and not watered down! I ordered a cold brew with oat-milk and I absolutely loved it. It’s low-calorie and my Starbucks go-to. The decor and structure was amazing, definitely an artistic and beautiful Starbucks. Both inside and out, it was trendy and very inviting. I enjoyed my coffee at the outside tables to enjoy the sounds of the beach and fresh morning air. My order was prepared fairly quickly.

Went into your Starbucks today for coffee and a snack I had just had foot surgery and was going back to Ventura, we have always stopped in here whenever going through town and the service and facilities have always been top notch!! I had to use the restroom and I don't know what happened today but I would never let my dog in there . There's pee on the floors toilet paper all over the floors and toilet wasn't flushed it was difficult trying to keep my foot off the floor because I was wrapped up in hospital wrap which I couldn't get wet but unfortunately it did. The staff that served us at the counter for our order were very helpful polite and courteous that's why I gave 3 stars

I'm not sure if they clean this place but it's gross. Even the bathroom was disgusting

Food was okay. Had to wait for Machelle to finish her 10 minute conversation before I was able to order. No substitution allowed with food at all apparently. Never called my name and left food on the counter for anyone to grab and touch. Lobby has no outlets!

Vi at the counter was very nice and professional. After that, I was disgusted! Very disrespectful employees, only 2/3 filled cups, and a countertop that was soaked in a cocktail of random drinks that probably hadn’t been wiped for hours. This felt more like going through the food line at prison camp. By far, the worst Starbucks I’ve been too. Corporate should send someone over to check this location out.

They were forcing me to put in my own sugar in my dark roast coffee.

I ask for a drink in here, the attendant says “I am sorry, I cant because the container looks like still coffee inside” for real the Starbucks container has remain of clean water. She refused with out give option. Was frustrated situation just because the container had remain of clean water but not coffee.

Hands down the worst Starbucks you will ever visit. New employee working the register, coworkers not helping him out much. Service was so so so slow, once I finally got my order it was wrong and then just plopped down when it was remade, I guess I was supposed to just know it was mine and not one for the other 7 people waiting for their drinks. No professionalism here. I wasn't sure if all the employees were super stoned or just didn't care too much. On top of all that the bathroom was filthy

Why is it the nicer the neighborhood, the worse the service is? My friend is hard of hearing and didn’t understand what the teller said. After we realized the order was wrong the barista was super rude about it. I get that working at Starbucks sucks, but don’t take it out on the customer.

Servive was so slow. Person taking orders did the complete order of eash person before taking next order. This is the only starbucks that does not allow customers to plug in to outlets. Has them all covered. Horrible!!!

Third strike, I’m out! Tried of giving the benefit of the doubt but still getting my order wrong. Both the cashier and myself speak perfect English but when liquid hits cup all bets are off at that point. Putting Carmel in when I never asked for it, forgetting whip cream when I did ask for it. The barista with the man bun/tail was very condescending. Not happy with the way I was treated. I'm a paying customer and I don't like being treated as some bum. I was here with my family. Learn how to talk to people, if you don't expect a bad review.

I’m honestly disappointed in the service. I placed a mobile order with curb side pick up which says to let them know what lot # and when you have arrived, which I did when I arrived. I waited 20 minutes and no one brought anything out to me then I go inside and I’m not even greeted I’m waiting in the pick up line they don’t even ask him if I’m there for a mobile order or anything. I wasn’t acknowledged at all until I finally had to tell the guy I was waiting for my mobile order. I waited 30 minutes to get my two drinks. Don’t offer curbside if you can’t do it.

If I had a way to rate this Starbucks as a NEGATIVE 5 I would do it!!! The manager on duty June 20, 2022 at 5:30 was irresponsible in his filling of mobile orders. I as well as three other customers watched him fill order after order for people that had ordered after we had online. How do we know this???? ... because we asked the people who were standing around waiting when their order said it would be filled- all were after the four of us!! We ordered teas and he filled every coffee drink he could fill first. Additionally, it appeared that he and one of the women working were actually doing this on purpose as they kept picking up the tea glasses and putting them back down and snickering to each other. Not really sure why they did this but it was ridiculous! Me and the other three patrons waited 27 minutes PAST when our orders should have been filled. Starbucks should have a refund on their app because I certainly would have asked for a refund and left. I will never go back to this Starbucks EVER and it's literally 10 minutes away.

The 3 employees working seemed more interested in their conversation then helping the growing line of customers. The store was filthy with garbage piling up. One bathroom was "out of order" even though there was no sign. The other bathroom was covered with toilet paper and smelled like a portable toilet. Thank goodness this is not my local Starbucks.

My wife and I were at the counter deciding what to order when she suddenly needed to use the restroom. The lady at the counter refused to give us the code, saying we had to order first. My wife was in discomfort while we were still trying to decide, but the counter lady showed no consideration at all. Out of frustration, I asked another employee who came from the kitchen side, and he immediately gave me the code without any issue. So clearly, the refusal wasn’t some strict company policy—it was just unnecessary attitude from the counter lady. I’ve never experienced this kind of nonsense at a Starbucks before. If this is how they treat customers, I won’t be coming back. Terrible service.

We had a bad experience with the older blonde lady with pushy attitude, and just overall mean and crude. Her makeup scared the kids omg! We just wanted coffee, but her vibe ruined the whole experience. If you read some of these reviews, you will find out we were not alone in this.
