The place looks great. We entered at a time that wasn't so busy. Nothing to criticize about the service. I ordered the personal 3 cheese with chicken which was phenomenal. I tried the grilled chicken and beef that my peers ordered and they were both tender and juicy. I also ordered the oreo cheesecake desert which wasn't anything too crazy- if you like cheesecake and chocolate then it'll taste good. each meal was around 200 Pesos. highly recommend. Forgive the steep pizza photo angle; I had already bitten in to a slice before i decided i wanted to take a photo
Los Trompos in Merida is a must-visit! The food is fantastic, especially their flavorful tacos al pastor, cooked perfectly on the spit. Beyond tacos, they offer a wide range of delicious and fresh Mexican dishes. What truly sets Los Trompos apart is their amazing service – the staff are warm, efficient, and always welcoming. Despite the high quality of both the food and service, the prices are surprisingly good, offering excellent value. With a lively atmosphere and convenient locations throughout Merida, Los Trompos guarantees a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommended!
Wonderful staff; with compliments to Ricardo. They are freindly and accomodating to requests. The food is fantastic. I had the pastor tortillias and the bean soup. The dining area and facilities are clean and properly managed. I will be going back until I complete the menu. Here I am with Los Trompos hombrés.
Oh boy! So i was wondering why there was no al pastor pizza instead of the normal Hawaiian. And although i had an early dinner, I decided to check out the menu!! This pizza is the best mexico-talien fusion dish. Pineapples, al pastor, make sure to add some lime juice, spicy salsa and onions and coriander on top. Absolutely delicious. Even got my italian gf to eat some! She wont admit it was good. But ate half the pizza! Also the staff were dancing and cheering with the live band playing. Service was super quick and generally the place was packed but the mood was really good!
The waiter was very attentive and gave us detailed explanations about the food, he also recommended some items. We all had different things, and everything was delicious.
I saw the menu posted outside and I was a little confused, mind you; I was tired and hungry. I saw the pasta picture and walked in. The smell was inviting, Italian food for sure, hum, the place doesn't look Italian. I read the cororful menu and bcs I'm used to pepperoni pizza 🍕, I decided that it was safer for me to eat the pasta.
This is a nice restaurant to sit and watch the game over a delishious meal. The staff spoke English. They were very friendly and helpful.
Excellent! I ordered three of the pastor tacos. My wife ordered two chicken tacos. Best we've had in a very long time and we're loaded with meat. Two classic Margaritas each. Both were tasty and potent. I wasn't done so I ordered two of the bistec (steak) tacos. Also yummy! We will definitely go back during our trip here in Merida.
Arriving in Merida, this is the first restaurant I went to. I asked the server what his favourite dish was and he said the Burrito. I ordered the Burrito with Pastor meat and it did NOT disappoint. It was SOO GOOD. I’m so sad I didn’t take a picture of it. it I will be coming back for that burrito!
Stopped in here based on menu and reviews. Great place in a good location. The food was delicious and the Poc-Chuc was excellent. We had this in tacos and burritos. Unfortunately the service was terrible. We had to ask three times for our second round of drinks and never received them, however they were on the bill. This place might be worth another shot, but we’re only here for a short time.
The place is clean and there are tons of options in the menu. The pastor is pretty good, and so are the tacos. The pizza is pretty weird, it feels more like a flatbread, and oftentimes they add some non-pizza sauce as well as some non-pizza cheese. The flavor is good, but don't expect it to be a typical Italian pizza. Location and service were great
We got the Mega Nachos, the food was okay but the service was not good, we had to wait for 20 minutes to order, and another 20 minimum to pay our bill. Also, they expects a big tip from you.
An okay dining experience. The music was a bit loud for our taste, and at first we had serious communication issues with our server, but we were given our food order very quickly...2 drinks, a half order of guacamole, and 5 tacos el pastor to share....all served and finished within 20 minutes. Handy location right on Calle 59 and 60. All the staff were welcoming and friendly.
It was a fusion of Italian and Mexican food. Tamarind drinks, chips and guacamole, and cafe latte were good.
Taco poc-chuc was recommendable but taco el pastor was so so. Night vibe is good. But live music is too loud to eat inside. Price was reasonable as a restaurant price. But you should wait a lot when you want to pay.
Really bad food. Salsa on the chilaquiles was cold. Over easy eggs instead of over hard. Bad burned coffee. Pancakes supposed to have banana in them but they didn’t. Do not recommend. This place is a tourist trap.
We decided to try the vegetarian options and had two different ones. They were not bad although the one with potato a little unimaginative. The server was a bit rude asking for how much the tip would be while we were paying by card, acting like it was a right. It wasn’t a case of ‘lost in translation’ as he was pointing to the machine for an amount. He understood we’d leave cash and was fine with that but still a bit of a weird ending to our dinner. In general the place did seem nice and was packed which is always a good sign.
