Opinions de Blackbrick Chinese & Dim Sum Miami
Really enjoyed this place. They were the first restaurant I enjoyed a dining experience at during the 50% capacity restrictions. The dining room was really cool being able to see into the kitchen area and it felt like an upscale but relaxed place. I don't know of that makes much sense, but you could tell the food was going to be good. The serving sizes are very generous and you could even share a dish between two people if you can express that amount of will power after first tastes. If you like spicy I highly recommend the Mala Chicken.
Delicious! Large flavor large portions fun atmosphere. Was prepared quickly and loved the dumplings. Highly recommend!
Decent Chinese food. Not what I imagined but close enough. A bit pricy but it’s normal in Miami. Recommend if you’re hungry for some Chinese food !! Nice vibe and setup. Location is convenient and friendly staff.
This small little quaint Chinese restaurant in Midtown Miami is a gem wow the server was very knowledgeable and steered us in the right direction when ordering we had two wonderful dishes and shared them amongst three people and it was plenty of food this place is reasonably price and very flavorfulIf you’re in Miami or Miami Beach or South Miami or North Miami this place is worth the drive or the Uber to get there
After having neck surgery December of 2019 in Miami, I had to wait 3 1/2 months to return to Miami Jackson hospital to have my neck brace removed‼️ Once removed and on the way home to Port St. Lucie, one TRIPLE D restaurant was on mind.....BLACK BRICK‼️ Such a different style, taste and vibe‼️ WE loved it‼️ We had Dan Dan noodles 🍜.....GAME OVER‼️ So damn good....Thank you Richard Hales‼️💪🏾💯🍺
Always delicious food and attentive service! Keeps us coming back since we took the first bite! my favorite is the alligator with bok choy and rice!
Holy mackerel! From the bbq pork buns to the honey chicken, this place rocks! Service on a Monday night was good. Ordered a cocktail from the menu and it rocked. Parking is available either on the street or in a structure.

We were served by Valentine, who truly dedicated his time to offer a great service and honest recommendationS. The restaurant decor is cool. Seating is a bit uncomfortable and cramped but the quality of the food put that thought behind. We had dumplings which were as close as your can get to The original quality. The hand roll were great in flavor but the dough was too thick and filling. Some side sauces were great in flavor and well chosen. Kale side vegetables had a defined flavor as well. The shrimp and peppers tested excellent, again i would reduce the battering a bit to make it lighter but the flavor was there. I couldn't pair a wine but Valentine assured the selection was good. Beers were varied. We tried a special tequila which We enjoyed. Was a great dinner.
Overall good meal. It is located in the heart of midtown, and has outdoor seating available. They have great cocktails with a daily rotating menu and a narrowed menu that specialized on a true Chinese experience. My favorite dishes were the general tso chicken, the chicken wings and bok choy.
We find this restaurant after I have search foursquare app on the phone to find out where we can eat a good Chinese food after the visiting of Miami Children's Museum. Interior is kind of interesting, the prices a big high I thinks but the food is tasty. We have tried: steamed shrimp & scallop dim sum (portion has 3 pieces) - really tasty dish; steamed chicken sui mei - kind of weird dish don't really like it; pork cheek pan fried dumplings - ok dish kinda like it; pan fried pork bao bun - mouthwatering dish; halapenjo beef - one of the best I have ever tried, really recommend it. Definitely will be back here again.
We stopped in just having been to Sakaya Kitchen and grabbed some ribs off the appetizer part of the menu...we opted for the "Hawaiian" versions and they were quite tasty. Our server, originally from New York, was very friendly and courteous...I can't recall his name (sorry).
This place is highly recommended, and the food is very tasty. Elevated Chinese food with amazing flavors. Great atmosphere, too.
Good eats. I've only been to the place once and ate the sampler plate of lamb, ribs, chicken wings and egg roll. Service was excellent and friendly. I will give it another go soon.
Food was fantastic. The Gator was by far the best, closely followed by the duck. The only reason I gave them 4 stars was the service. The service was slow, distracted and a little sloppy.
Early Monday night review. Restaurant had 3-4 tables full. Staff was attentive and friendly. Food was good, but ordering can quickly end up with a table heavily laden of fried options covered in sweet sticky sauce. Food was good - but as other reviewers have said: 1. Be prepared for the fact that it is fusion Chinese-American. Pluses for flavors/spices outside of typical "Chinese American" restaurants (Xi-an, Sichuan) which I loved. 2. Prices are a bit steep, I imagine this is due to the location (MIA + near the design district and shopping/condos). 3. Parking can be a bit of trouble, try the parking garages if street parking is gone (not too far of a walk, but you might want to buffer 5-15 min for walking from your spot) We had: >Pork Siu Mei Dumplings (Didn't have it, our party did - there was still one left at the end of the night, which I guess tells you where they ranked) >Shrimp & Scallop Dumplings (Over steamed? The wrappings were gooey and too thick) >Char Siu Bao (BBQ Pork Buns) - Great, very sweet (very similar to those you get in chinatowns, but 3x the price) >The Black Platter ($35 for 3 Lamb Chops which were delicious!, 2 ribs - too tough in hoisin sauce, cucumber salad - pieces were big bites with some shaved radish, 2 ginormous egg rolls that you needed a fork and knife to eat, 3 chicken wings, beautifully presented) > 2 orders of Fried Chicken & Garlic Dumplings (very crispy with white chicken inside, didn't get much of the garlic taste, these were covered in a sugar syrup - like a crunchier dumpling version of Honey Garlic Chicken - would not get 2 orders again, way too heavy, but yummy. Definitely NOT Chinese). >Xi-an Cumin Lamb Dumplings - these were great, not too spicy. Different recipe to any of the Xi-An's in NYC you might have been to. Good. >Hong You Chao Shou - Steamed dumplings in chili oil sauce. Great! >Yeung Chow Fr Rice - rice with mini sausage slices (tasted candied?) and big chunks of pork (like the red ribs) >Jasmine Tea was excellant and very very hot. >Iguana Bait beer was on special for $5 and tasted like Asahi/Sapporo with honey finish. Our party of 4 loved it, total bill came out to $135 pre-tip. $34pp pre-tip.

This is fusion Asian food. Not very true to Asian flavours and the hand made noodles, the main reason I have it a shot to begin with, were served dry (no broth). My dish was spicier than other dishes that were marked as "spicy". Staff is friendly and helpful. Overall service was slow.
Went in on a Wednesday afternoon and was seated very quickly. My waiter, Carlos, appeared very knowledgeable about the menu. He pointed out his personal favorites as well as their vegetarian options, which I appreciated as I am a vegetarian. I ordered the "2 dollar make you holla" drink, which was very strong. I was hoping for something a little more mellow, but considering it was $14 and the bartender was not skimpy with the gin, I really can't complain. The wrong food was brought out to my table on two different occasions, first because Carlos misheard what I had asked for and second because he took someone elses order to my table. Maybe he was just having a bad day, but it really did make the experience a little awkward. The food was good, I got the cucumber salad and the veggie dumplings. I would be willing to go back to try some more of their menu. The rating really came from my experience with the server, not the food or drink themselves.

Go to Tap 42 instead!!!! My food was bad the service was bad. We order our dinner and we're encouraged by the waiter Juan L. to order an appetizer since it would be about "25 minutes" before our order would come out. So we ordered some eggrolls, before we could start the eggrolls my dinner was brought to the table. My friends food was not, I asked what happened to "25 minutes", he replied the cook is faster than the others. 10-12 minutes later, my friends food was still not brought out. At one point the waiter asked "Are you done yet?" Please do not go here.
Black Brick Midtown Chinese Restaurant, Miami, is not only ridiculously EXPENSIVE, especially for what they give you, but, the food is AWFUL!!! It is an ABSOLUTE waste of time if you want good Chinese food; I DO NOT recommend it (save your money and time). Besides, the chef (or cook on duty) is arrogant and ill-tempered. On a positive note: the waitress was friendly and polite; it is only because of her cordiality that I even rate this restaurant because it, otherwise, wouldn't even get ONE STAR. My hat's off to the waitress who made the night at least salvageable.
Horrible fake Chinese cheap food! If I could I would leave 0 stars! Waited 15 min for anyone to acknowledge my table and when the food arrived it was tasteless . The vegetarian dumplings only had mushrooms inside although it stated it had mixed veggies and the rice was hard and also had no veggies. The service was awful , slow , sloppy and unprofessional and...they included 20 % gratuity . Don’t waste your time go next door instead!
