Fiola Miami is highly praised for its delicious food, exclusive ambiance, and exceptional service. The cacio e pepe pasta and lobster ravioli are frequently mentioned as standouts. Some reviewers note that the interior can be noisy when busy.
Tip: Request to be served by Andrés and Sara for a super special dining experience. If the weather permits, opt for outdoor seating to avoid the noise inside.

We came here for my birthday to try the tasting menu and it was a very special meal. We started with table side mixed tartare (video) and martinis, and then their summer tasting menu and wine pairing of different pastas and small plates paired perfectly with wine. It was an all around perfect meal, everything was cooked perfectly but the service was a big standout too. Very attentive staff and the timing of the dishes and wine made the experience a real pleasure. We have already recommended this area to people looking for a great dinner night out in the Miami area.
Absolute fantastic experience! Long story short - We were getting married in Coral Gables on Jan 18, so we made reservations through my Capital One app at Fiola’s for Jan 19. Unfortunately, Capital One had that major tech issue, so the restaurant did not receive our booking. When my wife and I arrived at our reservation time, we were (very politely) told that they couldn’t find us in the system. I showed my reservation confirmation screen, and the staff immediately took action. Everyone was so gracious and accommodating to my new bride and I. They really spoiled us and made us feel special. Everyone that we interacted with truly went above and beyond for us. It was very impressive and did not go unnoticed on our part. Outstanding job to everyone involved who helped make our 24-hour anniversary celebration special & memorable!
Fiola Miami was a nice experience for dinner. I requested a specific table and received it, which was nice to see that the restaurant honored such requests. The servers were very nice overall. It’s a bit dressy for Miami so be aware of this when you get ready to go. The food was very good for the most part. My scallops were salty and slightly overcooked. Everything else was delicious. The service felt a bit rushed, like they were trying to make room for the next table. They cleared plates away before my son had finished putting his fork down from his (almost) last bite for example. And asked repeatedly if we were ready to order in a span of only a few minutes after we had ordered drinks. But, the ambiance and decore are really nice. Pro tip: if you want to come in for just dessert and a drink: go to the bar and sit there, you don’t need a reservation and can have an entertaining hour or so with friends in that space.
Amazing dining experience. Our server Teresa gave us great recommendations and was very attentive and friendly. My boyfriend and I both did the $45 prix fixe brunch. I think the restaurant's prix fixed offerings (they have a lunch one too) are where they shine the most. The portions are good and you three courses. Between my boyfriend and I we were able to try 6 different dishes. All were beautifully plated and tasted delicious.
Our server was absolutely spectacular from beginning to end to end. He made wonderful recommendations. We started with The absolutely delicious bread with the whipped ricotta, calamari and crab puffs which were extremely good. Followed by fillet mignon broccolini and crispy potatoes which he recommended. Done to perfection. The wine was spectacular. We had the privilege of speaking with the Somalia. Thanks so much for the wonderful experience. Your Canadian friends🇨🇦
Absolutely lovely experience dining at Fiola. Ricky served us and was excellent as always. We ordered the caviar, bison tartare, strip steak and a side of corn! YUM! We will be back soon!
The experience was sublime. It is the perfect setting for an special occasion and to enjoy the best wine list, cocktails, food and desserts. The service was impeccable as well. We went on a Sunday to try the brunch menu, and everything was incredible. They also have a Pasta Omakase experience that we cannot wait to try. The menu is great since it has a bit of everything including Caviar and Fresh truffles to add to the dishes. We will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to everyone.
WOW! Dining at Fiola was nothing short of extraordinary, and I’m so grateful we chose this special place to celebrate such an important moment — May 7th, the day my boyfriend asked me to be his girlfriend. From the moment we arrived, the service set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Andres, our server, and his wonderful server assistant, Sara, went above and beyond to make the night feel intimate, personalized, and truly romantic. Andres was incredibly attentive and thoughtful — he anticipated every need without ever being intrusive, striking the perfect balance throughout the entire dinner. We started with the burrata topped with pistachio pesto, which was rich and creamy, and the hamachi, which was beautifully complemented by strawberry, mint, and avocado mousse — a refreshing and creative dish that delighted us both. For our main course, we shared a perfectly cooked porterhouse (medium rare), accompanied by two pasta sides that paired flawlessly with the steak. Every bite felt decadent. We also enjoyed a half bottle of Barolo that rounded out the meal wonderfully. To finish, we savored chocolate-covered fruits, a sweet and elegant ending to what felt like a dream evening. Fiola gave us more than just dinner — it gave us a memory we’ll never forget. Thank you, Andres and Sara, for making our night so special. We will definitely be back!
I visited Fiola with some friends for lunch. We stayed for hours because the food was so good and seasonal cocktails were delicious. Ricardo Blanco took such great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. Our water glasses were always full and he made sure that our cocktails were available for the next round. Ricardo also made great recommendations and even brought us a delicious dessert! The manager Eduardo also came by to make sure our experience was exceptional and it was! The entire staff was very attentive despite the fact that the restaurant was packed! I look forward to coming back.
My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary last night. And let me tell you this place was worth every penny! We ordered from Miami Spice menu and because my wife is Vegan. Chef Luis took care of our every needs and we appreciated conversing with us. Plus we had Jackie & Luis wait on all of our needs and they made sure we were taken care of. The Bread is a must!!!
awesome experience with my wife tonight at Fiola. we were at the bar enjoying their great happy hour. Both Bartenders were great, however, we spent more time talking to Devin, who is truly special making sure we felt special.
We came to Fiola to celebrate our anniversary, and let me just say—this place understood the assignment. From the moment we sat down, Manny took care of us like we were royalty… or at least, royalty that enjoys excellent pasta and slightly too much wine. His attention to detail was next level—we’re talking “fold-your-napkin-when-you-blink” level service. Now, about the wine: we were stuck in a serious dilemma—Barolo or Super Tuscan? Enter Yvette, our brilliant sommelier and part-time wine therapist. She confidently guided us toward a Brunello that was so smooth and complex, I considered writing it a love letter. Yvette, you’re a vino whisperer. To top it all off, Andres stopped by just to say hello and share some kind words. He didn’t even have to—but he did. That’s hospitality, baby. All in all, Fiola made our anniversary unforgettable. Amazing food, incredible wine, and a team that made us feel like the most important table in the room (don’t tell the others). We’ll be back—and we’ll be requesting Manny, Yvette, and Andres by name. Cheers!
Loved this place! We came here to celebrate our anniversary and upon arrival the staff was so nice and attentive, Pedro was our waiter and he was amazing and so knowledgeable. We did the omakase experience and it was delicious to be able to try so many different dishes created by the chef and Pedro would explain each dish. Also get the bread it is a MUST! Would definitely come back to try more dishes!
The service here is impeccable! Everyone was professional, courteous and friendly. The food was outstanding and the drinks were also delicious. We went for a brunch/lunch girls day and really enjoyed ourselves. They have an extensive wine list and a diverse menu. There was only one item we didn’t really care for (buttermilk biscuit and prosciutto) but everything was delicious! Mr. Angelo was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be returning and can’t wait to bring friends!
What an amazing spot to eat. My friends and I went to Miami Spice and we are already planning to go back. The staff was very attentive, friendly & overall provided us quite an amazing experience. Loved the atmosphere and the restaurant is beautiful. The food was amazing. Highly recommend this spot!
Andres and Sara were awesome. Besides the food being awesome, (yellowfin tuna, and Wagyu fillet,), their service was impeccable. They were there for everything we needed, and very attentive. As we were celebrating a big occasion, it was well worth worth it to come to Fiola’s
It was a great experience, the chocolate cake is TO DIE FOR! The bread is also delicious, we ordered it 3 times during the night, and my burrata salad and rigatoni Al Vodka were DELICIOUS! The margarita was definitely NOT the best in the world like the name says but it’s ok.
Unexpected ambience, full house with a lot of vibes. Miami spice menu available for $60 Street and valet parking available! Great service along amazing food, not to mention the huge variety of wine.
Newest review 2023-I’m back with another review 2 years later and I am pleased that the quality is still there. The waitress, Valentina was very kind, but we were pleasantly surprise by how knowledgeable and efficient Christian was. He was so attentive and professional that really changed the tone of our dinning experience. The ambiance was pleasant, great for families and dates alike. The quality of the food was superb, as amazing as I remember it 2 years ago. It’s a safe place for good pasta; the quality is there for sure. The beef tartare was delicious. The portions are good, the pasta is fresh and delicious, and oh, the wine!! Great selection of wine, trust Christian with recommendations. Previous Review (2021) We went for brunch and wow. The brunch selection was great, the service excellent, and the ambiance exquisite. Definitely a date spot if you want to wow someone. The food was great, the serving sizes were nice too. I had the ceviche (yum!) and the fisherman style grouper. We will definitely return!
Came here for Miami Spice. Atmosphere and service very good. For appetizer we got king salmon crudo, entree we got wagyu and vodka rigatoni, and panna cotta and chocolate terrine for dessert. It was delicious.
I’ve had this restaurant on my list to check out for a while, and it did not disappoint. We went for Miami Spice, and I was so impressed. The service was truly exceptional, with the staff going above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. I’m already looking forward to coming back!
Best Italian place in Coral Gables area. It’s really not exactly Italian. More like american italian mix. You could find both sides. Great wine list (European and US) and great steaks (better than in Italy) and also fantastic pasta and salads. It’s place for every occasion you could imagine. PS. Screaming eagle is cheaper than usual.
From the moment I walked in, the customer service was exceptional. The staff's warmth and attentiveness set the tone for a delightful evening. What truly stood out was the incredible service provided by the manager Pat. They went above and beyond to ensure every guest had a memorable experience. Their attention to detail and passion for making guests feel welcome was evident throughout the meal. Each dish was a masterpiece of flavour and presentation. Try the chocolate CAKE ❤️
We were taken to Fiola by some friends who lived nearby. It was outstanding. Shared starters of burrata with salad, and the biggest scallops I have ever seen, exquisitely cooked. Then mains of fish and meat also excellent, and generous portions. We accompanied the food with a couple of bottles of Valpolicella from the extensive wine list. Service very good and nice ambience.
My and I went in on Saturday for the last day of Miami spice and everything was exquisite. We sat in the bar section and were attended to by Jess. The food was almost as good as the service. The bison tartare was amazing and the kampachi crudo was one of the greatest things I’ve ever eaten. Jess made the night really special by bringing out a birthday dessert.10 of 10, Would go again
Fiola is one of the best places in Miami. I had a chance to celebrate Easter and had a blast as always. The very professional and knowledgeable stuff combined with the atmosphere Fiola will always make you feel at home. We had the Stracciatella Special with two different types of pesto that was to die for. Bojana gave us such a beautiful wine recommendation, that paired with the food was a match made in heaven. Almost forgot about the decadent Guava Cheesecake- feast for the eyes and soul. Whenever you have a chance visit Fiola you would love every second spent there!
The food and ambiance at Fiola Miami make for a perfect brunch on La Terrazza or supper in the stunning dining room. I ordered the swordfish milanese and bloody mary from the infamous trolly cart - both were unforgettable. For dinner, I decided to splurge and get the rich truffle pasta as well as their twist on a bellini and st. Germain spritz cocktail called "The Kassidy." If you ever find yourself in Miami you must go here!
For starters Devon our waiter was exceptional! He was a ten out of ten. We loved him. The food was outstanding. We live an hour away and can’t wait to come back. We tried so many things and everything was delicious. Amazing ambiance. Don’t miss this awesome restaurant! Great experience!!!
My recent visit to Fiola was an extraordinary fine dining experience that exceeded all expectations. Our waiter, Juan, was a true gem, demonstrating an extensive knowledge of the menu and offering valuable insights into each dish and its perfect pairing. His attentive and friendly service added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. In addition, the manager, Pat, approached our table and went above and beyond to make us feel appreciated and special. As an added surprise, he made my fiancé's birthday celebration even more memorable. The food at Fiola was nothing short of immaculate. The dishes were beautifully presented, and the flavors were a perfect harmony of taste and texture. What impressed us the most was that even after indulging in multiple courses, we didn't feel overly full or bloated. Having dined in numerous fine dining restaurants before, I can confidently say that Fiola is what every fine dining experience should be. The exceptional quality of the food, combined with the outstanding service, made it well worth the price.
A few weeks ago I went to Fiola, apparently named one of the best Italian restaurants in Coral Gables. This place is expensive so took advantage of their Miami Spice dinner specials. This three course menu included: BURRATA (cherries, heirloom tomato, endives, 5j iberico paleta); GRILLED WOOD OVEN DELMONICO (parmigiano kataifi, truffle, osso buco sauce, pearl onions); and, MASCARPONE TART (rasberry gelee, pistachio, raspberry sorbet). Food, atmosphere and staff were amazing. Must try!
Excellence in action! Service is extraordinary, everyone is so committed to go the extra mile in everything they do here. Food was cooked to perfection with exquisite flavors and details. Cocktails and dessert were crafted so well that became unforgettable. It was a true upscale dinner experience. Worth every dollar of it! Reservation in advance is recommended.
Absolutely amazing, yes its pricey but it's a meal you will remember as one of the best. I can't say that about alot of the expensive restaurants in Miami. A must try is the Bison Tatar and the Lobster Ravioli 🦞 even the bread 🍞 was of the chain so if you got it to spend come here you won't regret it.
A true fine dining experience from the wait (we were offered complimentary prosecco), the service, decor, the appetizers, main course and dessert. Please order their bread with that sweet buttery spread, its warm and pillowy. We had no complaints on any of the dishes ordered (pastas to steak). Valet parking is available and metered street parking nearby. Reservations are highly recommended.
Last weekend, I had the pleasure of dining at Fiola Miami, and it was a fantastic experience. I sat at the bar, where Marcus, one of the bartenders, made me feel welcome right away. Skylar, the other bartender, was attentive and ensured I had everything I needed throughout the evening. When it came to appetizers, I was torn between a few options, but Marcus recommended the meatballs. I’m glad I took his advice—they were rich, flavorful, and the stracciatella was incredible. For my main course, I chose the lobster ravioli, and it was nothing short of amazing. The delicate pasta made for a dish I’ll be thinking about until my next visit. I wrapped up the meal with tiramisu, which was a classic way to end the experience. I was guided through excellent wine pairings that complemented each course beautifully. The atmosphere was perfect for starting a Saturday night in Miami, and the service was genuinely welcoming. It’s rare to find an establishment that excels in service, food, and atmosphere all at once, but Fiola captures each of these elements beautifully.
Fiola has a fantastic Sunday brunch! I went with my mother (who was visiting from out of town) and they did not disappoint. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and the atmosphere cannot be beat. If you really want to impress a guest this is the place to go. Service is top knotch and the food is the best in Miami- and always presented beautifully. These dishes are beyond instagram worthy! Be sure to try the porcini mushroom cappuccino soup- it is my absolute favorite! Will be back soon!
Unique and outstanding experience. By far my favorite restaurant in the area, there’s nothing to even compare it with. Tried 8 different things in the menu and they were all exquisite. Surprisingly the best ceviche I’ve ever had. Their lobster 🦞raviolis were to die for. Branzino coated in salt was incredible and highly recommended. Enjoy the Bacardi Bar 🍸 cocktails are pretty elaborate! The bellagio was my pick for the night and it didn’t disappoint 👌🏼
Very good restaurant from start to end. Valet is fast and well organized. Hostess at reception are welcoming , elegant and smiling, waiters are attentive and professional. Great wine list, slightly expensive but fair with the market. Food is fresh and well done. Only two issues: first the time from the starter to the main course was way too short. As they clear the table from the starters, we received the main course. This may be linked to the second issue that is finding a table. I only found 615pm and probably they needed the same for other people. However we didnt feel rushed out at all. Probably the best restaurant of Coral Gables. I'll be back.
I got the opportunity to finally go and it didn’t disappoint. Food was great as expected. I got the chance to be with a friend that was visiting and happen to work at their DC location. Getting to know some of their philosophy and work ethic was a plus, thanks to Antonio for that.
Fiola is my all-time favorite restaurant in Miami. The quality presentation and taste of the food is absolutely impeccable. My favorite dish is the truffle pasta!! being born and raised in South Florida I’ve seen this is the only restaurant with a fine dining experience and elegant ambiance.
When I pulled up to valet in my little Honda Civic they kinda gave me that “are you lost look?” To my surprise the restaurant was extremely warm and very inviting especially to a single diner. My server Augustin was absolutely the best! The food as well as the presentation were excellent. I ordered the Rotolo for dinner and it tasted like “happy.” That means the food triggered an extremely happy time from my childhood and it was great recalling memories from my golden childhood. Anytime food can invoke those feelings then you know you’re at a great restaurant. I’m so bummed I didn’t take a picture of the delicious pineapple dessert they so generously gave me. I was extremely impressed how one of the owners continuously walked around the restaurant conversing with all the customers not just a few, and his interactions with the staff. I look forward to going back to Miami in the Spring next year and especially back to Fiola!
Lovely elegant atmosphere with small happy hour bites! Definitely a cute stop after work. We at the bar and the service was fantastic! Definitely would come back for their selection of cocktails and light bites! You might leave hungry as the portions for happy hour are bite sized. Overall lovely experience!
Fiola is a dining experience. It’s cuisine is very curated and decadent. Every detail is thoughtfully decided and exquisitely executed. The staff is impeccable. The flavors are top notch. There is no better restaurant in all of South Florida with the exception of grandma’s house.
Great experience! We came here for Valentine’s Day, the ambience was intimate, comfortable, good background music. Our staff Leon and Noel were great! Servers came quickly and the food was AMAZING. Everything we ordered was superb and beautifully plated. With all courses and deserts and cocktails we spent about $250 for two people. We had the lobster ravioli and short rib lasagna. Would absolutely recommend and will be returning. :)
Incredible food and wine selection. Only topped by the service of T-Dawg & Eduardo. We would have stayed all day just to hang out. 11/10 people. Eduardo is very knowledgeable and picked a perfect wine for our lunch. Allergy Note: I have a severe tree nut allergy. The staff were very aware and helpful. We will come back to Miami just to eat here (most likely when Teresa is working - someone give this woman a raise. She deserves it.)
After tasting that mouthwatering rigatoni bolognese I’d have to say this could possibly become an Italian favorite for moi. Sitting at the bar and interacting with the delightful Theresa was more than a bonus. Top tier when it comes to service is an understatement, Theresa takes it to another level. This is one of the best menus for this year. Many excellent options for appetizer I opted for a lighter one, that being the baby kale salad. The lemon and grated egg make all the difference for an otherwise basic salad. Let’s talk about the main character, the pièce de résistance…whole wheat rigatoni bolognese. A ragú sauce that’s finger licking good and perfectly cooked Al Dente pasta and everything in between. I couldn’t get enough of this dish and one of those that’d keep me coming back in the future. Unfortunately for dessert, as the waiter was delivering my panna cotta, he went through some trouble and dropped it on the floor, the very last one. I was bummed out but accidents happen and as a result I ended up having something called a chocolate Budino. Creamy like a custard topped with a layer of chocolate, whip cream and peanuts, maybe walnuts. It was ok but after indulging in the rigatoni, the dessert didn’t matter as much. Place is gorgeous and very classy. Again this is one I’m saving in one of my favorites collection.
First time visit to Fiola. I came for their Miami Spice Brunch on a Sunday at opening. Service was prompt and frequent. The server was very kind and knowledgeable. They have a kids menu, surprisingly. All of the dishes were excellent. I recommend the gazpacho, carbonara and basque cheesecake. Miami spice was a good value because otherwise you're looking at $100/person with drinks. I look forward to returning.
This is the most underrated place in Miami. My husband and I are foodies and honestly we have had the opportunity to go to many well know places with Michelin stars between Miami and New York. Let me tell you, Fiola has nothing to envy those places. The service I would dare to say is the best I’ve had in Miami, we went for our anniversary and from the moment we walked in the door it was all smiles. Kevin and Edwin (i hope I’m writing their names correctly) were AMAZING!!! So detail oriented, knowledgeable and sweet. The food was also incredible, a must would be their wagyu pasta with osobuco. Their pastas were so fresh and perfectly cooked. Would recommend this place to anyone. We are a younger crowd, but when it comes to food we take it seriously. Skip all the overrated Miami places that are all show and make a reservation at Fiola. Also I’m a vlogger and I really appreciate when people don’t get annoyed by it. In this place, they made sure to let me know when they were about to do anything that would mess with the aesthetics of the BEAUTIFUL plates so that i could record or take pictures. Kevin even provided me with good lighting😂 without me asking which I thought was very sweet.
In Miami’s opulent Coral Gables neighborhood, Fabio and Maria Trabocchi opened the doors of a third location of their D.C. Michelin-starred restaurant. It has been a welcomed addition to Miami’s bustling food scene and certainly lives up to the expectations of its original location in the Nation’s capital. It’s setting is as lavish as you would expect with a modern European flair that is flanked by an 8,000 bottle wine cellar on one side and a beautiful bar on the other as well as an open kitchen in the back of it. The food can’t be expressed with enough compliments. Every single course was exceptional, generous and lavishly presented. We started with the Burrata of Mozzarella which had Pesto, Peas, Spring Favas, Almond and Parmigiano Tuile. Every taste was perfectly distinguishable and came together in your taste buds to create a smooth and savory taste. We then passed to the Cobia Ceviche which was as an impressive plate as well, surpassing my expectations for a Ceviche in an Italian establishment. For my entree, I went with the whole wheat rigatoni which had Ragu Bolognese, Foraged Mushrooms, and Parmigiano Reggiano. This is certainly one of the best pastas I’ve ever had with a perfectly made bolognese and wonderfully crafted al dente rigatoni’s. Last but not least we chose two desserts: the Vanilla Panna Cota and the Fiola Grand Chocolate Cake. The Panna Cotta was comprised of Fresh Strawberries, Strawberry Sorbet, and Amaro Sfumato to form the perfect dessert with smooth flavors and the perfect sweet spot. The chocolate cake on the other hand was much stronger yet still perfectly made to blend all its flavors. Aside from the food, the service was quite the highlight; you can tell that the staff truly cares about your satisfaction and well being. Our dinner lasted over 3 hours and not once did our servers rush us, they were just concerned in us enjoying our meal. From its opulent setting to wonderful food and even perfect playlist, the Trabocchis have created one of the best dining atmospheres and experiences in all of Miami.
I went here and found this more upscale restaurant. I ordered the sole fish filet which had to be carefully removed from the spinal cord. There's alot of meat once the backbone is removed. I had some waygu bites which were not a5 but they were tasty nonetheless. I washed it down with a tea and a double espresso. The scenery is nice here and the price is more inline with an upscale restaurant. The menu is also pictured. The service was also very good. I do recommend
Service was impeccable, temperature checks when we entered, mask bags and hand sanitizer on all the tables and excellent attention to everything including social distancing from other tables. Food was excellent. I was most impressed with the service. You definitely don't get that level of quality in many Miami restaurants.
Last night, I had the pleasure of visiting Fiola in Coral Gables. An upscale Italian restaurant that gets creative where they can, while still remaining authentic to their roots. Fiola places a large emphasis on its quality and attention to detail. From the freshly pressed white table cloths to the attentive and knowledgeable staff, I was thoroughly impressed with my dinner experience. Not to mention they boast an impressive wine list with bottles around the globe along with some notable names that are often tough to find. This was truly an experience to remember.
Fiola is an outstanding restaurant offering upscale ambiance, service and food/drink choices. The menu has a few mainstays (their chocolate cake is one of our faves, as well as anything from the Raw Bar) and interchanging items, depending on what’s fresh or a new chef favorite. The Italian dishes are perfect a discerning palette, with plenty of emphasis on truffles, caviar, incredibly fresh pasta and the highest quality of fish, vegetables and meat.
Our dining experience at Fiola in Coral Gables was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were greeted with warmth and sophistication, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. Our waiter, Juan, deserves special commendation for his impeccable service. He was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also exhibited a genuine passion for the culinary creations of Fiola. His recommendations were spot-on and added an extra layer of delight to our meal. Speaking of the meal, the food at Fiola is nothing short of a gastronomic masterpiece. We started with the Lobster, which was cooked to perfection, boasting tender, succulent meat that practically melted in our mouths. It was a true testament to the restaurant's commitment to using the finest ingredients. The highlight of the evening, however, was the Carbonara. It's not an exaggeration to say that Fiola serves one of the best Carbonaras in town. The dish was a symphony of flavors, with al dente pasta enveloped in a creamy sauce, enriched with the indulgent notes of pancetta and Parmesan. Each bite was a revelation of culinary excellence. To top off our extraordinary dining experience, the ambiance at Fiola was elegant and inviting, providing the perfect backdrop for an intimate dinner. The attention to detail in the décor and the attentive, courteous staff further enhanced our evening.
One of the best places in Miami! You definitely should try any pasta there, my favorites are with caviar and mushrooms. Amazing wine list, but they don’t have my favorite champagne - Ruinart Blanc de Blanc, for such kind of place you should definitely add it to the list. Another thing that I didn’t like - even if you have reservation, you don’t have a table on time and you can wait more then 20 minutes at the door. So planning in this place should be better too. Staff is super professional and atmosphere is incredible. Good music, perfect food. So I recommend this place 100%!
To say Fiola is spectacular is an understatement. You can taste the genius of the chef with every bite. The staff, as always, were courteous and make you feel beyond welcomed. Mr. Andrew Barret welcomed us at the door and had his team ready to rock and roll once we arrived. We will absolutely be back.
Attention to detail is what sets this place apart. The Pasta Omakase experience was a culinary treat. 6+ plates of chef's selected pasta dishes with varied assortments of flavors and dessert included. Hidden in the rear of the Bacardi building in Coral Gables, ample parking in evenings, due to it being mostly a business district active during day. Valet available during day.
Chef-owner Fabio Trabocchi’s contemporary Italian cuisine restaurant portfolio boasts four restaurants in Washington D.C.: Sfoglina Pasta House, Del Mar, (one Michelin-starred) Fiola and Fiola Mare. The next Fiola is set to open this spring in Venice, Italy. Mamma mia! Despite Trabocchi’s solid success up north, I worried quality wouldn’t translate the same once the prep and debut period ended. And to be honest, also because Miami. I love us (weird headlines and all), but there is no doubt our dining scene is a tough coconut to crack. Whatever recruiting and training method they’ve used should be patented and modeled for other Magic City newcomers in the same category and beyond. The magnificent interiors of this Coral Gables hot spot favor mostly subdued tones with floral prints and accents scattered throughout. Glass, wood, iron, velvet, and leather textures along with the vast ceiling and white tablecloths monumentally come together creating interest and adding much cachet. Don’t expect a stuffy environment where whispering is encouraged. The vibe, electric and contagious (y muy Miami), repeatedly worked despite the varied nature of each of my visits (romantic wine-heavy dinner for two, fun gal’s night out for four at the bar, three-hour intense dinner for six). I cringed when the hostess sat me next to a party of 22 (where a wildly popular Univision celebrity held court) during my first visit. Surprisingly, any worries I had of my food being forgotten or set aside quickly dissipated when I couldn’t help but focus on the excellent food and service. What large party? An actor and multi-Latin Grammy-winner sat next to our party during my last visit. Again, equal attention was given to all regardless of how despacito I thought service would be. Fiola’s impeccably-dressed army professionally tended to every diner need with a graceful dance choreographed and inspired by old school hospitality. Water remained topped before I even noticed an empty glass. Wine glasses appeared full as needed and a wine list presented at the perfect moment when not. The sommeliers, knowledgeable, qualified, and passionate, expertly poured and endlessly conversed on the topic (my kind of people). Questions and requests were answered promptly by all and with a smile, every time. The food. Oh. The. Food. Said to be inspired by regional Italian classic dishes, and family traditions, Fiola’s menu is divided into an Amalfi Coast raw bar, appetizers, pastas, sea & land options, wood oven & simply grilled fare, to share family-style selections, sides, and dessert. Courses during each dinner arrived all at once at a perfect pace. Tableside presentations and explanations flowed easily. Each highly-curated plate, tray, bowl, and platter showcased the courses at their best: stunning to look at and even better to taste. Highlights: The signature Porcini Mushroom “Cappuccino” Soup ( sheep’s milk, ricotta pansotti, and Parmegiano foam). Delicate layers of cream, foam, and meaty textures compliment the balanced woodsy and nutty flavors. The perfect opener. My pasta favorites keep changing with each dinner. First I thought the Beef Short Rib Agnolotti (beech mushrooms, brasato sauce, and toasted Alba hazelnuts) won best in show, then the Lobster Ravioli (ginger and chives) ruled all, but then the Squid Ink Bucatini (red king prawns, sea urchin, and Spanish Piment d’ Espelette) happened, and I can’t stop thinking about it. The Prosciutto Wrapped Veal Chop (with ossobuco sauce, foie gras, gremolata, and alba hazelnuts) stood out as well. Please hold. I need a momentary pause to remember it again now before I continue typing. Oh my, and exhale. Forget the D.C. Michelin star. Forget the star-studded dining room. The food and service at FIOLA Miami are worthy of our praise and the real stars that matter. Other things to know: If you can find it, street parking is available. Valet parking is offered for $7. No corkage fee for outside wine offered. Bar seating is first come, first serve.
Each and every detail is taken to a whole different level at this beautiful modern Italian Gem. Service was exceptional, Chris and Dani greet us with the biggest smile and gave us all their time and attention. Food was flavorful and flawless. From the classic lobster ravioli to the fresh Florida Wahoo with the tomato, ginger and cucumber veil. Grazie Mille! First time but not last time! See you soon
WAOO!! AMAZING! This is the second time that I have dinner in Fiola. The service is wonderful from the moment the two sweet hostess gave us the welcome. My husband and I waited for a table in the bar. I did not like the service from the bartender, he ignored me. He is too busy! My waitress was a wonderful lady called Boina, very happy, friendly and good to suggest meals and drinks. The quality and flavor of the food is extraordinary. The presentation of each dish was elegant and gourmet. Bottle of wine Brunello di Montalcino 2015. It blends well, soft flavor for someone that usually don't drink wine. Appetizer: - Oysters with passion fruit. - Tuna tartar. DELICIOUS! It melts in the mouth. Main dishes: - NY steak with mushrooms, french fries with herbs. - Lobster ravioli. Big pieces of lobsters. Dessert: - Passion fruit cheese cake... Mamma mia! - Tiramisu... OMG! This place is very elegant, modern, romantic, excellent service (except from the bar). They have a wide selection of wines. PRICE, Yes it's expensive, but you get what you pay for! We payed around $500. 100% Recommended.
The best. 5 stars are not enough for the EXPERIENCE we had dining here today. The restaurant is incredible but what really made the difference was the attention! You can feel the dedication of each of the waiters to make you feel that you are in a real top restaurant. The food was wonderful. We will be back soon for sure. One of the best in Miami.
We had heard good things but never did we think we would have the food experience we did for lunch. Once Fiola knew my parents were celebrating a special occasion we were treated like royalty. The mushroom soup and the Milenasa were two of the best dishes we had. From presentation to service Fiola continuously impressed us. Can’t recommend enough - will return ASAP.
This Italian restaurant is truly exceptional! The food and service are top-notch, making every visit a luxurious experience. Their lunch menu is very convenient and offers great value. The location is fantastic, and the restaurant itself is spacious and beautifully designed. I especially love sitting outside; it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a meal. They also have an excellent selection of wines that pairs wonderfully with the dishes. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great Italian dining experience!
Restaurant is very good overall, on the fancy side. Food was excellent, i highly recommend the wagyu lasagna and the octopus. The chocolate dessert as well as the tiramisu are both amazing. Four stars instead of five because the service could have been better, particularly for a pricier restaurant.
Atmosphere is very nice and welcoming. We went for dinner bday celebration and it didn’t disappoint. Cacio pepe , to ceviche to fish to dessert. All very delicious. The staff was a bit too much on top of us, it wasn’t a busy night but it was fine just a bit awkward. Beautiful dessert tbh that was a highlight.
At first glance, Fiola restaurant in Coral Gables presents itself as a beautiful establishment with pleasant ambient music. However, our experience with the host left much to be desired. The host had limited proficiency in English, and when I inquired about an area where we could wait with our baby before our reservation, we were directed to the bar. This was concerning, as minors are generally not permitted in bar areas, to the best of my knowledge. This may have been due to negligence or a lack of knowledge on the part of the host, but it was quite frustrating for us. Once we were seated, the service provided by our server, Diagna, was commendable. She was attentive and ensured we were well taken care of throughout our meal. We opted for the Miami Spice menu, which consisted of three courses. We started with water, which was generally fine, but the glasses had an unpleasant egg-like odor. The appetizers were good, although they could have been served at a better temperature. However, the main courses were disappointing in both taste and presentation. Given Fiola's reputation for its pasta dishes, the carbonara we tried was particularly underwhelming—overly salty and lacking in freshness. On the other hand, the desserts were very delicious. We also decided to try their mocktails, which, unfortunately, did not meet our expectations. The cocktail selection was slightly better, though still quite traditional. Overall, the experience was good, but specific details—such as the host's conduct, the odor in the water glasses, and the disappointing main course—detracted from what could have been an excellent experience. Therefore, I cannot give them a five-star rating. Success lies in attention to detail and consistent service from beginning to end.
Appetizer like mushroom soup is a dish to definitely to try it is amazing, we had a veal chop. quite expensive and a regular flavor that you can have at any restaurant for the half of the price, dessert is really good but quite expensive, for the quality of the food it doesn’t make sense the prices that this restaurant has.
Very solid restaurant. Got the Miami spice special. You got the beef tartare, barada, Bolognese pasta, Delmonico steak, mango dessert and tart. Beef tartare was amazing. Felt like everything else was tasty but not mind blowing. The bread we got on the side was average- hot and fresh but not noteworthy. Service and interior ambiance are amazing and what you expect for a restaurant at this caliber. Lots of couples eating, great for a date. Regular menu has very very high prices but recommended for Miami spice!
Super hip and trendy good food but wine service was a little clunky will try again. Update - Going to a restaurant on Mother’s Day I know is a bad idea. However I witnessed the impossible a completely packed restaurant running smoothly on Mother’s Day lunch, great food, service and wine well done Fiola !!
Loved their interior decor with all their wine selection around the entire restaurant. The music loved it but it doesn’t really match with the restaurant. Service was top notch! I love a restaurant with an amazing variety of wine but one thing is that bottles are overpriced to their original price about 2 - 3 times the price. We started our night with Feudi del Pisciotto Nero d’Avola 2020 since we wanted to try a different grape but unfortunately the wine was just terrible and corky taste. Damaged big time! We even had the Sommelier from the restaurant to try it and he agreed with us. We switched to a Bodegas Mauro 2019 Tempranillo Castilla y León Red Wine. WOW absolutely stunning and powerful wine! Also overpriced but a celebration of a friend’s is worth it! For appetizers: • Sullivan Bread with Sheep’s Milk Ricotta, Honey and Thyme was delicious! The bread was cut a little difficult to break but the combination was divine! We devour it! There was too much bread for the little bit of the dip. • Bison Tartare was to die for! And the crispy thin Tuile that was accompanied was made to perfection! Love it! Must try! • Fiola Meatballs were amazing every single bite! Meatballs were so tender but the sauce wow! Must order! For entrée: • Black Winter Truffle Pasta was overly salty! I think Chef forgot he put Parmigiano Cheese once and think he added more. Unbearable to eat. I was excited to try until it finally came and wasn’t able to get a second bite. • Fiola Lobster Ravioli was super yummy! Every single bite! Lobster is extremely fresh; if you know what a fresh lobster tastes like. Definitely a must try! For Dessert: • Hazelnut Rocher was definitely a replica of a Ferrero Rocher Chocolate. Loved every bite! Parking is either PayByPhone or they have a Valet Service flat rate of $12. Valet is easy to retrieve your car and they take good care of your car.
I went last night for date night, our reservation was late at night. We both did the pasta omakase and in my opinion it was extremely overpriced for an average tasting meal. One of our servers was a very attentive lady, she was the only one making sure to refill our wine glasses and took the time to elaborate on the description of the plates that were served . The rest of the staff was not as attentive, when the plates arrived they would describe the food very fast and you would barely understand what they were saying, seemed rushed. The omakase pasta menu is 95$ per person, it was 5 small plates and none of them really stood out in flavors, the hot dishes weren’t really hot, everything was cold. Not sure if it’s because we ate close to closing time? Maybe it was just the omakase and they have better menu options? I don’t know but I’m surprised this restaurant has so many good reviews based on my experience.
07/02/2023 This restaurant has one of the greatest services in restaurants visited in Florida. Great attention from the manager to the servers. However, food was tasty but not for the high-end of the restaurant. The pasta was a little bit overcooked, the tuna tartare was very spicy, and the burrata didn't taste as it was because the tomato pasta was very strong in this dish. The desert I personally liked but the ice cream wasn't needed. I'll definitely come back and try different meals.
For our 17th anniversary dinner, we chose this restaurant and made a 7:00 p.m. reservation. We arrived 15 minutes late, but the hostess was courteous and seated us promptly. The restaurant was about 75% full, and we were placed in the wine cellar—a beautifully decorated space with comfortable seating. Our waiter greeted us with menus and asked our water preference, but there was a noticeable delay before he returned to take our order. I’m not even sure he introduced himself; we felt like an afterthought. Perhaps he was stretched thin with too many tables. He didn’t highlight any house favorites or upsell specials, leaving us to navigate the menu solo. The food was delicious: we ordered raw bison, sourdough, seared tuna, beef cappelletti, potato fondant, and a tomato heirloom side. Everything was tasty, and the house dessert was a standout. They surprised us with an anniversary dessert and card, which was a nice touch—though a heads-up about the generous portion would’ve been appreciated, especially since we’d already ordered dessert and a few glasses of wine. It was more than we expected. Overall, the food met fine-dining standards but wasn’t exceptional. The service, however, lacked the polish you’d expect from a $500 meal. Afterward, my wife remarked it felt overpriced for the experience, and when I asked if she’d return at half the cost, she said, “Actually, no.” I agree.
I had Miami spice here. Definitely don't recommend. Service was extremely slow. Appetizer was a joke. 5 pieces of shaved cucumber. To top it off they also charge extra $5 for the steak but the menu doesn't mention it's extra. The quality of meat was poor. Had a lot of silverskin. I didn't like the dessert either. This is by far worst Miami spice experience I've had.
