I’m not from here but this is the first place I visited on my trip to Miami and I was not disappointed. The food is fairly priced for seafood and the portions are quite large. I truly wasn’t expecting the grilled seafood platter to be so big and so I accidentally ordered way too much. Everything I tried was delicious and I especially loved my spicy inferno margarita.

Garcia‘s was the best meal we had in Miami by far. The stone crab, scallops, shrimp, and lobster were amazing. I actually enjoyed octopus for the first time. The cocktails were fantastic! It’s mighty rare that I get my socks knocked off at a restaurant. They were knocked off all right.

Some of the best seafood I've ever had. The staff was very polite and prompt and the atmosphere was great out on the deck overlooking the Miami River. We tasted several of their signature dishes, the blackened yellowtail was incredible, the Mahi Mahi in Peruvian sauce was soook delicious, and the grilled seafood platter gave a great taste of everything else. All was cooked to perfection and I could make a beverage company out of the Peruvian sauce it was so good. Easy parking out front and worth the stop.

Love Gracias fried jumbo shrimp. They’re juicy and deliciously seasoned. They give you 5 but I can eat a bucket of them. We loved the snapper filet with rice and French fries. The fries are usually stale so it’s best to request fresh. Lychee Martini is a must. Cheesecake is yummy. Servers are sweet and attentive…. Outside can be cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing, but its surrounding areas are nice for a stroll after dinner and fun to watch all the boats sail by and catch the sunset. You can valet or try and find street parking for a fee

Always wanted to come to Garcia's and tonight turn out to be thr night. Love the place. Market place on thr first floor, restaurant on thr second. Casual but trendy. Super full but was seated within minutes. Super attentive staff. We ate lobster bisque, 2 different kinds of raw oysters and lobster Mac and cheese. My friend had white wine, I had the lychee martini. Was so so good and fresh. I have always known of Garcia's. They were a client of mine when I work for incredible fish. I am so glad I came. I will be back again.

Nice place for seafood 🍤 ! The food is fresh and delicious. Great atmosphere by the water and very relaxing. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the service is quite quick. A perfect spot if you’re visiting Florida and want good seafood. Would definitely come back!

This place is really nice on the water. The food was really good and the environment is phenomenal, ask to sit outside by the bay and watch the boats and wildlife.

Hands down one of the best seafood spots I’ve ever been to! The lobster mac and cheese was out of this world creamy, flavorful, and packed with lobster. Our server was amazing, provided top-notch customer service, and made the experience even better. The waterfront view was the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal, and they even let my mom smoke on the patio while she enjoyed her food. 10/10 — highly recommend if you're in the area!

Came for early dinner. Sat inside and started with the large stone crabs. They were amazing! Had conch fritters, Chilean seabass, black seabass and key lime. All were delicious! Service was superior and drinks were delicious. Try the Cuban coffee and the carajillo!

Snapper was incredible with the Lobster Ravioli! 🤌🏽 we're hoping for a table near the water but didn't get it right away. The general manager come out to accommodate us give us an exceptional table. Our server was vibrant and gave us a lovely experience. I would pick here over kiki on the river, they are just over priced. We ended with a key lime pie which was also great Thank Jay and our server Sarah "bibi" !

Our first time in Miami, FL. We got recommended to try Garcia's Seafood. It was a wonderful experiences with fresh seafoods, and amazing customer services, especially, our server Erik. He's understand some English, but he's very patient, understood exactly what we wants for our foods and services, and gave tailored recommendation for us as a first time visitor. Highly recommended this place for great seafoods and customer services 👌

Absolutely great Miami vibe and incredible view of action on the Miami River. The service is attentive, the food comes out promptly. The order is right and the food is of course delicious. The fish dip is not my favorite, it has almost no smoked taste that I could discern. But it's appealing and everybody in my party finished it. This restaurant is only 15 to 20 minutes from the Miami airport so you can easily spend some time here if you're laying over, waiting for a flight.

Very good seafood restaurant with a nice view of the miami river's yacht seen. We arrived close to sundown on a Sunday and there was plenty of inside and outside seating. Based on availability, you can choose outside or inside if it's too hot out. At sundown it started getting full, really quick! Food was very good but on the pricier side, still worth it with the views. Menu had a decent variety. Instead of 10$-20$ valet plus tip we did the street parking right across from Garcias at about 2-3$ per hour on app.

Garcias is always a place I love to go especially because it’s a family vibe and you don’t get that a lot in Miami. Today we sat outside by the water and the food is so fresh! I had a fried whole snapper and omg it tasted so fresh you can tell it was. My servers name is Giuseppe and even though it was busy he kept his eye on us and made sure we were good and enjoying our meal. I would go there weekly if it wasn’t so far from home. 10/10

It was our first time at the restaurant. Great find!! Paid parking is available on the surrounding streets. Our waitress Karen was phenomenal. She made excellent recommendations. Everything we ordered was delicious from the conch fritters, grilled shrimp, crab cakes, seared scallops to the Black Sea Bass. Will definitely come back and save room for dessert next time.

We tried stone crab, lobster, snapper whole fish grill and all the dishes were cooked perfectly and fresh, we all enjoyed the dishes very much. We ordered raw Shrimp but when we came home we found raw fish fillet, i think the order was misplaced, we stayed 45 mins away so we could not go back, we should have checked before leaving, but that is fine we cooked and had that fish. The owner was friendly we met him and he offered us stone crab claw to taste in the shop too.

This local seafood restaurant next to the water is divine. The parking can be confusing, so we did the valet, but there are parking places around. The freshness of the food, the quality of the cuts, the variety of options, the knowledgeable staff... awesome place for a business meeting, family meal or date night really. I had the blackened mahi-mahi with maduros (fried ripe plantain) and tostones (fried green plantains) and it was the right amount, because we ordered octopus and oysters for starters. The guava cheesecake was nice, just a bit too sweet for me. Next time I'll come I'll likely do starters and the grilled seafood platter that looked scrumptious

One of the great places in MIA to get fresh and diverse local seafood. The flavor and quality of the meat it’s outstanding and service is on point. Different ambiences are available and I recommended the upper level deck to enjoy the view and local weather. The dolphin, snapper and salmon are recommended. Enjoy!

Fresh Seafood & Great Vibes! Garcia’s is a Miami must-visit for seafood lovers! The fish is incredibly fresh, the Crab Cakes are delicious, and the waterfront view adds to the experience. The food was amazing! I had lobster Mac and cheese and lamb lollipops. My daughter had shrimp Mac and cheese and fried oysters. All staff were super friendly. They had beer (my favorite)! Lol And there's even an elevator to take you to the restaurant upstairs. There's actually a market downstairs to purchase fresh fish. The waiter even gave us some history about the place and told me they catch their own fish. I enjoyed it and will go again. They even have valet service. The portions were quite favorable.

Wow, absolutely fantastic!! Right at the Miami river, the restaurant offers a nice terrace and has an amazing offering of super delicious seafood in a nice and relaxed setting. The staff was super friendly and our waiter Marlon was a really nice guy and fun to talk to, who offered us a really nice table. Already looking forward to going back next time!

This restaurant is the definition of a hidden gem!! I loved it and absolutely will be coming back. Fried Oysters - must have! very yummy. the second time i went, they were unfortunately soggy which ruined it, but the first time was perfect. Tuna Tartare - good Mahi mahi sandwich - liked it quite a bit, pretty salty though Lobster mac and cheese - good! Stone Crab - very interesting and yummy. They sell out very fast, so if you want to eat them, come to the restaurant early. Super meaty, and the shell feels like porcelain! Comes off easily and is not very messy. Tres leches - delicious dessert, this was my first time trying tres leches and it was wonderful! Key Lime Pie - very good. the textures are very nice and balanced The side of crackers and dip was absolutely amazing! And very addicting. The location looked a bit shady at first, but this restaurant is amazing. The staff are all wonderful people.

We found Garcia’s on a recent dalliance in Miami. Disgusted with suggestions from certified food sites we turned to google. 3500+ reviews and a four star rating means this place is boss. Every good restaurant looses a star from dedicated Karen’s eager to be heard. I moved us inside, we were not on top of the water and the nostalgia in the room is memorable. Stone Crab season certainly helped our joy as these bad boys are delicious. Clams in white wine forced us to double down. Light and soupy the #chowder is. Oysters delightful gulps of ocean. Giant margaritas and a bottle a cali chardonnay sorted us nicely. Maybe i get emotional when i see a restaurant around for so long, their fishing, the heritage, the family, that may have attributed to to great experience we had at our lunch at Garcia’s and i’ll be putting this spot right at the top of my Miami resto suggestion list from now on

Best meal of our trip to Miami. Started with the Seared Scallops-excellent, main courses consisted of Grilled Seafood small size-never had Octopus before, very good, in fact all of the grilled seafood was great! Second meal ordered was the Seafood Creole with White Rice and Caesar Salad-all perfect. The creole sauce on the Rice was excellent. Third meal was the Butterfly Snapper-Lobster Ravioli that came with was excellent, all of it was delicious. This was our second time here and will come again whenever in town.

We ordered fried prawns as the appetizer, grouper chowder, fried mahi-mahi and fish tacos for dinner. The food was great, the fish tacos were the best we've ever had. We ordered another fried shrimp to go for our son who has been in the hospital for 6 weeks, he absolutely loved them. Will definitely be going back.

Garcia's Seafood Grille & Fish Market in Miami is highly rated for its fresh seafood, relaxed atmosphere, and riverside location. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes including whole fried yellowtail snapper, stone crabs, and conch fritters. Customers appreciate the casual, outdoor dining experience and the excellent service. It's a popular spot for both locals and tourists looking to enjoy fresh, locally sourced seafood in a scenic setting.

We were on vacation for our anniversary & came specifically for the stone crabs & oysters. Everything was delicious & incredibly fresh tasting. The grilled yellow tail & grouper were also amazing. Garcia's Seafood restaurant is an absolute gem! Situated in an awesome location, it's a seafood haven. The drinks? Exquisite and delicious. But it's the food that steals the show—it's simply to die for. I'd dare say it's probably the best seafood joint ever. If you're a seafood lover, this place is a must-try. The flavors, the freshness, and the overall dining experience make Garcia's a standout spot

Great spot! We sat by the bar and Josh was our waiter/bartender. He was so helpful! Gave us tips on what to order and what’s in season. He even made the best raspberry mojito. Tip: get the swordfish if they have it . My god they know how to cook up a fresh catch.

We have been to Garcia's many times for lunch. It has always been good food and friendly service. I love that it is a casual place with lots of character in their decor as well as being situated right on the Miami River. We love watching all the boats and yachts sail by. There are 2 floors here. The first floor has their Fish Market, where you can buy fresh seafood and find some seating. The second floor is the dining area and the bathrooms. Also a great view of all the boats on the river. There are stairs to go up and also an elevator. Garcia's is a family owned business and they take pride in selling only the freshest and best seafood. That's why they have been in business for years at this location. We ordered Grilled Jumbo Shrimp, Grilled Salmon, mashed potatoes and veggies (carrots and zucchini), plus the Hot honey cheesecake. Everything tasted so good! We had house water with our food. We relaxed and enjoyed the vibe. We look forward to our next visit here. Service was great. Our server was Loidel and was attentive and friendly. Parking is by valet or street parking.

Garcia’s was a favorite for me! The food was absolutely amazing. They catch their own seafood and you can tell. It’s so fresh. The stone crab, the sea bass…everything we had was wonderful. Absolutely delicious seafood dishes here. We had a very friendly iguana slowly approach our fried calamari appetizer and try to sneak a bite. We thought it was really cute so we offered him a tiny piece. I had the mahi mahi speciality dish which was smothered in this amazing Peruvian sauce. Had a side of mashed potatoes which was a lot larger than expected. We sat outside on the balcony overlooking the marina and I will say the direct sun can get uncomfortable. It was a little bit too hot. Parking is either paid valet or you can find street parking down the road and walk over. Overall this place serves fresh seafood at a decent price with speciality dishes. Great patio view of the water. Huge portion sizes.

We arrived for dinner and were immediately welcomed and greeted by Jose and another young lady. As Jose was showing us to the only table available he noticed another table overlooking river becoming available and gave us that one instead. The amazing service continued with Luis, our server. One of us ordered a whole fish, Luis brought us on a tray a few beautiful snappers for us to choose our preference. Our food- from the appetizers to the main courses were out at another level - out of league. Huge kudos to the owners for a great job done. Huge kudos to their entire team, Jose, Luis, all of the servers and staff - great job! Fans forever

The food is wonderful. I'd come back again whenever I visit Miami. My favorite is the Grilled Seafood Platter. I ordered a large size. It can be good for 2 people with 2-3 apertizers. It consists of scallop, shrimp, and squid. I love the fragrance and the flavor that the food gets from the grill. The server offered the habanero sauce, which is hot and a bit sour. The sauce goes well with the seafood. The scallops and clamps are fresh and tasty. Although they have the same type of sauce that they use for many different dishes.i wish that they could have slightly different flavor. I'm a big fan of raw oysters, but they don't have many varieties to choose from. There was only one kind that I could order, which was not specified on the menu. It just said fresh/raw oyster. Overall, I'd come back for the Grilled Seafood Platter for sure.

Garcia’s is one of those spots in Miami where the view and the food are both memorable. Sitting right on the river, you get an unbeatable waterfront setting — boats gliding by, a cool breeze, and a laid-back, old-school Miami vibe that’s hard to find these days. The service was genuinely warm and attentive, with staff who clearly know the menu and make you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first time. Everything came out quickly and with a smile, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The seafood is fresh and flavorful — nothing too fussy, just quality ingredients done right. If you’re looking for a relaxed, no-frills place with great service and great views , Garcia’s delivers.

Exceptional experience. The stone crab and shrimp were FRESH! We were rushing to catch a flight, and the service was on point. The food came very quickly, and the maduros were the best I’ve had in Miami. (So good that I got a second order to go for the trip to the airport). The food was much better than that of other restaurants serving stone crab in the area, and the price was competitive, too.

We came here after watching a YouTube video. Great recommendation! Fresh seafood and fish, cold beer and a nice view over the Miami River. Staff is super friendly! If you want the local seafood restaurant experience, try Garcia’s!

Amazing and fresh seafood, the best you can get. The views are incredible as well as friendly staff. We had no trouble being seated on a Friday night with a party of six. They have an elevator making their dining room handicap accessible. Our dinner was delicious.

The food was really delicious, and the staff was all very friendly. I went hoping to sit outside, but unfortunately the outdoor area was closed. The indoor space felt a bit intimidating and not as pleasant, even a little too cold, but honestly, the food was absolutely wonderful, with excellent quality. It would’ve been perfect if the outdoor area had been open

This is probably the best seafood restaurant in Miami. I've been to Trulucks, which is also awesome, but Garcia's is in a class by itself. The drinks are incredible. The snapper and grouper are delicious. The mash potatoes may just seriously be the best I've ever had. The lobster ravioli is good. The scallops are tasty. The crab cake is decent. The seafood Creole is terrific. And to the mixologist who made my Caribbean rum punch and peanut butter old-fashioned - bravo!

I finally carved out a night to visit Garcia's, a famous Miami spot that definitely lives up to the hype. The building has a cool duality—a bustling market downstairs and the restaurant upstairs, creating a casual but trendy vibe. We were seated on the waterfront deck almost immediately, which provided a perfect, relaxing view of the boats coming and going. The service was a highlight; our server was amazing and provided top-notch customer service, making sure our whole group had a great time. Now, for the star of the show: the Lobster Mac and Cheese. It was hands down the best seafood dish I've ever had—creamy, flavorful, and absolutely packed with lobster. We also enjoyed some incredibly fresh raw oysters and the Blackened Dolphin, which was perfectly cooked. While the food was great and the atmosphere was quiet and easy to talk in, there were a few minor hitches. The wait for our main meal felt too long, and when the food arrived, it was unfortunately only at room temperature. Also, heads up on two logistical things: parking can be a little difficult (expect valet or paid street parking), and be aware that the restaurant is on the second floor with no obvious wheelchair access. Despite the wait time and the fact that they charge a processing fee for using a credit card, the atmosphere and the sheer quality of that mac and cheese make this a 10/10 spot that I highly recommend.

Garcia’s Seafood Grille & Fish Market – Fresh stone crab with lovely river views We tried Garcia’s Seafood Grille & Fish Market after visiting the History Museum, as we were looking for a place serving stone crab in Miami. On the ground floor, there is a seafood counter displaying different sizes of stone crab claws and other fresh catches, while the actual restaurant is upstairs. I highly recommend sitting on the outdoor terrace on the second floor — the river view is very relaxing and pleasant. We ordered large stone crab claws, which were very fresh and flavorful. The restaurant had already cracked the shells for us, so it was easy to eat — a thoughtful detail that we really appreciated. We also tried the Chilean seabass; the fish itself was nicely cooked, though the portion was a bit small. For sides, we chose mashed potatoes and fried plantains, which were just average. We also ordered a bottle of Kim Crawford, it was match perfectly with our seafood. The prices are on the higher side, but overall the ambiance and service were excellent, making it a worthwhile experience — especially if you want to try stone crab in Miami.

Garcia's is a well-known Miami spot with a market vibe downstairs and a restaurant upstairs. I've visited before without being overly impressed but enjoyed the Blackened Dolphin this time, it was well-cooked with good service. Overall, I consider it a decent place for seafood. If you need further analysis or specific details, let me know!

This place is so dangerously delicious. It's one of those places you see the price and your like ok I'm just gonna order something small and then you quickly realize your taste buds could have afforded that large portion so you toggle between looking like a fat phuck... getting another plate... or just walking out with your dignity intact. I ordered the seafood Platter with a side of yellow rice and tostones. It was flavored so so so well! The tostones was crunchy and fresh. Outdoor seating overlooks the miami river and boats and yachts that pass by. Service was a bit meh, grabbed it was a bit busy, but not the most professional staff. But the food was so good. Highly highly recommend! I will be back with my big back!

So we used Valet which I believe was very reasonably priced. We went in and it was confusing at first but the valet and I believe it was a server or busser directed us very well. We took a peak downstairs and decided to eat upstairs outdoors. The food was delicious I enjoyed all the food. I ordered a Caribbean Punch it was okay. I hate that drinks in Miami are weak sometimes. I was highly disappointed about them not having lobster rolls. Johnny and Marvin very hard working individuals. I think some organization can be done with servers that’s just the management side of me. But overall not bad very chill spot. I loved the music as well it’s not loud but I still wanted to dance the dancer in me.

01/01/2025 A Hidden Gem for Fresh Seafood with Scenic Miami River Views A delightful surprise awaits at this restaurant, offering a fantastic selection of fresh seafood dishes. It's the ideal spot for a relaxing aperitif with scenic views of the Miami River, creating an unforgettable dining experience. Food: Generous portions and undeniable freshness define the menu. Each dish is cooked to perfection, enhancing the flavors of the sea. However, their cocktail selection leaves room for improvement. Service: Exceptional service deserves recognition, particularly the staff member who attended to us—always friendly, attentive, and ensuring everything was just right. Ambiance: Surrounded by more glamorous establishments, this spot holds its charm by attracting those who prioritize quality dining over flashy settings. The calm yet vibrant atmosphere adds to the experience. Conclusion: A highly enjoyable experience, perfect for anyone seeking fresh, well-prepared seafood. A must-visit for those in the area looking to indulge in a fantastic maritime meal.

What a great casual place to get fresh seafood in Miami! Come as you are, I came in shorts and t shirt! Seating both inside and outside patio looking over the river. The seafood was fresh and well cooked. Strong alcoholic Mojitos. Good service and great views at night. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. Had to park a few blocks away since this could be a little bit more difficult. My favorite thing to eat here were the Stone crabs and the mustard dip they have. If you are like me and love crab but have just been used to Dungeness crab in the west coast, you need to try it!

Given the location, we were expecting more out of the whole experience and food. For my appetizer, I had the spicy jumbo and the grilled octupus. The soup lacked salt and spice. The octopus was a bit chewy. My husband had the Mahi Mahi sandwich. The fish looked like it was fillet to make it thinner for the sandwich, but it only had one filet vs. The full fish. For my main dish, I had the grilled sword fish with Cole slaw and tostones. The fish was good, but it lacked seasoning/flavor. We were located on the second floor and enjoyed the view of the boats passing through the Miami River. Our waitress was really nice, served us well, and cater to our needs

When in Florida, trying the Stone Crab is a must, and Garcia's Seafood Grille is the perfect spot to savor fresh stone crab claws in a casual, relaxed environment. We arrived around opening time and opted to sit outside in the patio area to enjoy the beautiful sunny weather overlooking Miami's seaside. The staff was very friendly and helped us decide which type of stone crab would best suit our tastes. The staff stated that the smaller the size of the stone crab claw, the sweeter it was. Opting for the large stone crab claws struck a perfect balance between size and sweetness. While we did try a few other entrees, the claws were consistently in the spotlight. The Dijon aioli dipping sauce served with the claws added a tasty dimension to the freshness of the stone crab. If you find yourself in Miami, Garcia's is the go-to place for exceptional stone crab claws.

The food was good but definitely on the cool side. I had the Chilean Sea Bass which came with 2 shrimp. The Tuna Tartare was amazing! The service was extremely slow... That probably explains the cold food. I've only been there once. I'd give them another try.

Food was very delicious. The grilled seafood was probably the best grilled seafood dish I've ever had. We expected the shrimp scampi to come with pasta but did not. When requested they were able to serve us. Portions are not big, actually kinda small but if you want great food you must try it. Place does have an outdoor seating with view of water but was too hot for us. The dining area is kinda dated. You will spend a hefty price to be full but I would definitely come back.

Should have come earlier, because this restaurant is very popular, so it was rather crowded by two pm. and the servers were too busy, although they were very nice. My friend loved her grilled yellowtail, and the sides were delicious. My scallops were a little underdone, but the flavor was very good. I will definitely go back, but earlier, or for early dinner. Really an iconic Miami restaurant, not to be missed if you are visiting our beautiful city.

I wanted to love it so much but they forgot the salt. Shrimp cocktail on a bed of barely green romaine; shrimp was unseasoned. Lobster bisque didn’t have any lobster and tasted powdery. Grouper chowder had the flavor but no actual grouper. I am big on oysters and have grown up on both east & west coast oysters so we ordered both but they were both flavorless in a way I haven’t tasted in years (pretty sure one was frozen). We held out for the stone crabs and they were very buttery secondary to their natural texture but once again, salt was not added to the water so they were bland (mustard sauce kind of helped). Pros include the amazing service. They really let us hang and enjoy the views. Really great ambiance and boat watching. Would come back for the deck to be honest but probably would try something else (food wise).

It's a 3.5-star place. You can sit outside at the deck to see boats coming home. Good environment, good vibe, good dish decorations, good food, and good services. HOWEVER, the meal took too long to be brought out, and they're at room temperature. It's not good to eat seafood at dishes at room temperatures. They also charge you the processing fee for paying with a credit card. The dishes are at premium price, and the owner still imposes the credit card fees on the customers. Someone is very stingy here.

I used to love to come here since is an easy go to dinner place with good seafood but over the years I have seen it going down with the quality and the portions while the prices goes up… the service is quick nothing to say about that I did order a ceviche and the clams as an entree but the clams where literally 5 for 18 dollars plus tax not included, they were good but so little and no bread that I can eat the soup with. Ceviche terrible !! The mixed grilled seafood was good but for 35 dollar I only did get calamari, soo little octopus and 2 shrimps, the taste was good tough Never and I mean never order the Key Lime pie it’s not a slice is the smallest dessert ever seen when brought to the table the whole group laughed at thinking it was a joke made by the server…no way it was real So 5 people, 4 entree, 5 main, 1 dessert 3 beers almost 600 dollars By the way I saw many little mouse going around the tables, I get that we are on the river but never nice to know that you are eating with wildlife on your feet

Garcia's is a Miami staple but has become too overpriced. The fish dip that they used to give complimentary was almost $20 for a scoop with canned jalapeños and bagged chips. The rest of the food was excellent, my compliments to the chef and kitchen staff as always. Service has gone down significantly. Unfortunately, it may be the last time I dine here.

Overall, Garcia's wasn't terrible and I would be be willing to give this place another chance when I travel to Miami again, but my first time there did not leave a great impression. Here's an overall review: THE GOOD: The seafood was of good to excellent quality. My girlfriend ordered yellow snapper stuffed with crab or lobster and it came with ravioli (also stuffed with crab or ravioli) in a vodka sauce. She let me try some of these and they tasted pretty good. I had a platter of grilled seafood (shrimp, octopus, scallop, and something else). Also our appetizer (grilled jumbo shrimp skewer) was flavored nicely and shrimp were good sized. One of my sides (macaroni & cheese) punched above its weight in quality. Generally, I feel we got good value for our money (or close to it). The BAD: My biggest critique of Garcia's is the "hit-or-miss" flavor of the food. Though many parts of our dinner were really tasty, some were lacking. My entree had flavor, but the flavor was saltiness. Aside from the salt, there wasn't much flavor. Additionally, my fries lacked flavor overall...Additionally, my girlfriend only received 2 ravioli in addition to her yellowfin snapper. Perhaps instead of 2 serving 2 crab/lobster ravioli, a better side would have been a plate of cheese ravioli. The UGLY: We patronized Garcia's on Valentine's night. When we got here, my girlfriend checked-in with the hostess to put our name on the list to be seated. A half hour passes and we still haven't been seated, which is somewhat understandable-- it was busy that night. However, the hostess didn't write down our name and we got lost in the shuffle. Another hostess asked us if we were waiting for a table...Once we got seated, service was slow (this is not necessarily a knock on the server)...Also, before we got seated at our table, we sat at the bar. I asked the bartender for a Coke and instead got a rum & coke. We weren't able to rectify this until 10 minutes later. All in all, I would try Garcia's again, but only on a non-holiday/non-weekend night. I think this place has potential to serve up great dinners in a vintage, handsomely old-style atmosphere. I will stop by when I'm in town again.

The location offers a quintessential Miami atmosphere, with great views of the water, boats, and surrounding buildings that definitely add to the overall experience. Unfortunately, the cleanliness fell short of expectations — the space felt unkempt, with sticky railings and tables, and an unpleasant sewer odor that drifted through the air at times. The food was also underwhelming. While my husband enjoyed his meal more than I did, my mahi mahi arrived suspiciously fast and did not taste freshly prepared, as though it had been reheated. The accompanying vegetables seemed to have sat in a warming tray too long, resulting in a tough, rubbery texture. The mashed potatoes lacked flavor and were reminiscent of institutional food. The salad was very basic — chopped lettuce and sliced tomatoes — more fitting as a taco topping than a side dish. Overall, the food was significantly overpriced for the quality received. While the view and vibe were enjoyable, they were not enough to make up for the disappointing dining experience.

This restaurant is not worth going. I ordered the shrimp scampi and it had SIX small shrimp in total. I sent it back and the nice server got the manager to comp it. But overall it was very disappointing because it was a waste of my time. The manager-looking guy was also extremely cocky and insisted on passing in front of me in a narrow passage way. He said “excuse me” very aggressively. I’m not petty, but this kind of behavior I can’t tolerate. The only thing that was good was the stone crab. So take this how you will. Overall, I don’t recommend this restaurant.

Garcias has always been a favorite, however, my experience with my family yesterday upon arriving at Garcia’s was absolutely awful. Rude behavior, a lack of attentiveness and disregard prompted us to leave immediately and we chose the restaurant next door. I live in Broward and drove especially to celebrate my birthday at Garcia’s, very upsetting.

Good service. Got seated righty away. No reservations system btw. Not too many options of beers. The Margarita was ✨🔥✨. The scallops were very chewy and lacked a kick. The stone crabs were decent. The sea bass was very oily and lacked also flavor. No comment on the mash potatoes or grilled veggies. The Lobster Mac & cheese only had mac & cheese. A 7 year old kid would have made better mac & cheese. No reason to order dessert when the food is not up to the standards. Service was good by the hostess and server. Sitting by the water and enjoying a superb December summer day in Miami. **Be generous at tipping 20%**

Good spot for sunset. Margaritas are good but drink fast as the heat melts the ice so fast that it will be diluted! Good service. Cuban, Latino feel and ambience. Many yachts passing by and good for people and boat watching. We were not overly impressed by the food. Maybe we made the wrong selection or it’s the Cuban flavor. The only dish we enjoyed was the blackened grilled snapper fillet. Recommend to get the whole fish as it’s delicious. Not to put a bad twist to this review but a true sign of a good restaurant is also how the toilet is kept and maintained. Disgusting is the right word to describe. We will not return.

Embarrassingly small portion of scampi. Six normal shrimp swimming in a pool of watery pan sauce. The stone crab was good and fresh, but the lemon wedges they served with it were half decomposed. It felt like a lack of oversight or standards in the kitchen. Our server, Erick, was nice about and took the scampi off the bill after we sent it back.

Filthy! I had to ask the server how staffing was because if they were understaffed do to current market conditions I could maybe understand it. Server told me they were fine to which. I said hey not for nothing but the floor is dirty and that table hasn't been cleaned whole time I've been here. I was told it's not his problem. Every single server walked past that table with empty hands and even added to it. Simply lazy. Not what I want to look at when paying over $80 for some stone crab legs. No attention to detail. Management and ownership must have gotten complacent. Plus I was given lemons that either were already used or were so old they looked use. Food was overhyped to spend your money elsewhere.

I definitely do not recommend it. The food was cold and not tasty. It was far below my expectations. The fries were terrible. The salmon was tasteless. The shrimp were the most tasteless shrimp I have ever eaten. It is not a quality fish restaurant.

We were really disappointed with this meal. The two appetizers were terrible! The $18 cocktail shrimp came with only 4 regular size shrimp, and the $18 clams had just 7 pieces and looked like someone’s leftovers. The fish was just okay but lacked flavor. The lobster ravioli, which cost $34, only had 4 pieces — I was honestly shocked when the dish came out. Overall, the food quality was poor and definitely not worth the high prices. Every other restaurant we tried on this trip was great, but this one felt like a complete rip-off…..

We were visiting Miami and had high hopes for this restaurant after enjoying it in the past, but this visit was disappointing. Parking was confusing, with two different valet prices quoted. When we walked in, no one greeted us, so we had to seat ourselves. The restaurant also lacked customer service — after being given water, we waited a very long time before anyone came over to take our order. The complimentary dip and crackers they once offered are gone. The appetizer was mediocre, and while the entrées were fresh-tasting, they weren’t worth the prices. Honestly, we visited local fish markets that offered better seafood and value. We had hoped for a nice birthday celebration, but sadly, this will be our last visit.

R
Rachel

If you enjoy starving or dining air this is the place for you. We walked in and waited 15 minutes just to get a menu, despite repeatedly making eye contact with the staff. After that, we waited another 20 minutes and no one came to take our order. We weren’t even offered a glass of water. This was not during peak hours. Five tables right next to us were completely empty. The staff clearly saw us and even acknowledged that we hadn’t ordered yet. After 30 minutes of pointless waiting, we left. If we had kept waiting, maybe someone would have come to serve us three weeks later.

Got sat pretty quick. Paid 4 dollars for a shitty flat canned soda. My lady ordered a “house made” margarita for $16 but it was just store mix. I tried to go to the mens bathroom and the stall was locked with no sign. I had to ask a server to help me and i was given a chair to stand on to unlock it. Then the toilet was broken and didnt flush. Our server was great so that was a perk but after the bathroom drama we decided to stick to an app and leave. We paid $20 for 6 shrimp that left a terrible freezer burned after taste. We quickly asked for the check and left.
