We had a Sancocho de Carne, Bandeja Paisa (pictured), Lengua a la Criolla, and Jugo de Guanabana en leche. The sancocho was delicious, the bandeja paisa was near perfect (the beans were over seasoned), and the lengua was a little tough but it tasted good. Our server was Alejandra D. and she was very personable, friendly, and helpful. We'll definitely eat here again.
I came here searching and craving for some Latin Colombian food and dinner was served! The atmosphere was quiet with beautiful pictures on the wall reminding me of South America and our waitress (i didnt catch her name) but she had tattoos. Our waitress, she was very attentive and gave me sauce! I can't wait to be back for affordable, filling cuisine.
Excellent food and great service here. Usually drive here when in the mood for a fantastic omelet. (Macitas's Omelet with Mosarela cheese) and the best hot chocolate I've had anywhere.
This Colombian restaurant is a notch above the rest. The best empanadas in town hands down. Always Crispy and tasty. Just by the way people buy them you can tell how amazing they are.
Fantastic experience! The food is amazing! Highly recommended.
Empanadas are amazing. Best I've had in a long time.
Excellent food!!! No matter what I have ordered, its always been good. Have never had a single complaint. Staff is very friendly. All the girls are super helpful and provide great service. Great job Alejandra, Cindy, Andrea Johana, Yeni, Mirleydis, and Paola. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!
The food was exquisite, el Sancocho de Costilla with two tender well cook ribs, my wife had Pork chops, well cooked with caramelized onions on the top. Service kind of slow but good.
Food is delicious! Real Colombian taste. And the service is super friendly, kind and cordial, there's a smile for you from the minute you go in. I highly recommend this place.
i came here for breakfast and the food was pretty good. they have a bakery, good parking, and walk-up window. the server that took care of me was very friendly and attentive. the food came out quickly and the prices were reasonable. i had the macitas super calentado. this comes with the following: rice and beans, some chicharrones on top, an arepa and wedge of cheese, hot chocolate, and i opted for steak and morcilla. what it doesn't come with, and frankly, i'm shocked, is a fried egg. i also had a passion fruit juice (because yolo). one thing you should be aware of: the steak comes with aji on it, so if that's not your thing you'd best speak and let them know.
Good variety of breakfast and lunch and even dinner from recalentados to steak
After a Very Bad experience at the Macitas in US-1, we decided to give a shot to the one in Kendall and it was the best decision ever! The Food was great! HOT! Boiling HOT! And fresh! Great service over all and great music!
Excellent restaurant, very nice service and relaxing atmosphere, I really recommend this location, Kendall, we are lovers of Colombian food, my favorite are the Bandeja Paisa and the Sancocho de Res, THE BEST, our waitress Jany was always attentive and suggesting the best of the home. Thank you Macitas.
Great Colombian food , good atmosphere, I came here on a Saturday with my family we all ordered A Bandeja Paisa a traditional Colombian dish and it was excellent! They had great live music and service was great. Colombian Beef empanadas are also amazing here ! Would recommend to any looking to grab an authentic Colombian cuisine experience!
Excellent food & service. Try the place if you have never eaten there. Servings are extremely generous for those with a big appetite.
Home cooked flavor food. Delicious 😋
I stopped by to get some empanadas.l on Sunday. They were delicious. I got the beef and the lechona. Will definitely visit them again.
Great menu selection and the best Colombian food.
This is my favorite local Colombian spot. From breakfast options to dinner the food is authentic and completely worth the price. Conveniently located in the hammocks with a cafecito window when in a rush (dine-in if you have time to spare, the service tends to be a bit slow).
Came to have dinner at the Kendall location. Amazing Columbian food! We ordered the mix grill it was delicious! Good flavor good portion. The empanadas were very tasty as well the tostones con carne is a must! They put mozzarella cheese over the meat with the cilantro sauce. I ordered the lemonade. Wow! Nice size and homemade. They also have the one with coco that is good too. Our server Andres was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back!
We have breakfast here from time to time, the omelettes are great, love their pastries and pasteles, the Colombian food here is also really good, my wife love their soups and I always enjoy the bandeja paisa, food is very tasty and fresh, service is also on point here and prices are reasonable, we will continue coming and enjoying the good food they offer. Recommended!
Authentic Colombian dishes. Pan the bono , tostones and chicharrones the best of South Florida. Highly recommend “ Bandeja Paisa”
I went on Saturday with my family, and we had excellent service and attention by our server Jany going above and beyond what we expected from the small restaurant. Would definitely ask for her next time, the morcilla is My favorite 🤩
We had a great experience! I had always ordered for pick-up, but it was worth going in an enjoying the delicious food, wonderful service and even live music (Saturday). Everything was so fresh and yummy!
I like this restaurant. The food is well-prepared and the service is quick and polite. The bakery selection is great and delicious. I have been a customer for many years.
I loved this place, the food was great, the server was very nice and attentive, the prices aren't that expensive. I will definitely go there again.
Wonderful service. The food is fantastic. So much home style flavor.
Excellent food and service! Highly recommend
Excellent Colombian place. Good quality and service.
I happened to stumble upon this place when I was looking for anew Colombian Bakery. Best pan de bonos I've tasted in a while and I loved their variety. I was so pleased that I went back with my extremely picky family to try the restaurant food. The food was authentically good and everyone loved it. Will definitely be back for more!!
This food was sooo good. The only problem I had was that everything, including the staff and customers, was in Spanish. I needed to talk with the owner in English so I could understand what everything was to place my order. Next time Google Translate will be my friend. I had a pastry with guava and cheese. My husband had the rice and beans with sausage. He also had coffee, which he said was very strong but not bitter at all. It was all great!
Best colombian food In West Kendall. Las Empanadas de carne are amazing, make sure you jave them with a little bit of aji (spicy sauce)
In response to the most recent review by John or is it Juan, I was present when the alleged incident happened. Besides yours there were only two other occupied tables at the moment. Your server Ms. Alejandra Diaz was never rude nor disrespectful to anyone. I have seen more rudeness and disrespect from entitled customers towards the staff than the other way around. The food is good. The services is good. The prices are reasonable in spite of the current economy. I recommend Macitas to everyone.
Nothing like walking in and always being greeted by warm , delicious, fresh empanadas, or pan de Bono, and Bunelos. Hands down 1 of my favorite places. Family owned. Yes they have to other locations one in culter bay and the small arepa shop that started it all.
If you want a real Colombian chocolate this is the place. Everything on the menu is so delicious. You can either have a full meal from the menu or individual portions from the panadería. Also the service 👌👌👌Highly recommended. Plenty of parking.
The best Colombia food restaurant in Kendall. I went to Palmetto Bay, not the same taste.
Totalmente recomendable
Deliciosa comida Colombiana en Kendall Miami. Excelente servicio.
Good place for breakfast & lunch! The only reason I don't give them a 5 star review is because their beans have pork. (For the owner, please think of making the beans vegetarian!!!) The soups, empanadas, arepas are excellent!
Food is great but they always serve tiny portions of fries when you order thru doordash why???
Great local restaurant for your whole family. Good service and friendly staff. If you are in the area and looking for quality Colombian cuisine look no further. I enjoyed the Bandeja Paisa with carne asada - so good!!!
Great, delicious and clean Colombian food restaurant. Be aware, the service is little bit slow. Plenty of parking, and they play soccer games when Colombia or Latin countries are playing (World Cup and Copa America..)
4 stars because the food was delicious but the service was horrible. We had to wait at least 10 minutes before the waitress finally came over and then didn't return until the end. Then she went to get us a to-go box and didn't bring the bill because she was too busy chatting with a guy over the counter.
Loved the atmosphere and service! Really nice food presentation and tasty overall. The bakery section has some savory treats! Black beans were a little watery and could've been more flavorful. Really enjoyed the background music playing and decor. Would recommend!
Update: At least the food taste Good.. except for the chicharrón the rest of the food was good. I increased the star rating a bit because the food is tasty . However at $31.00 for the amount of food is really a ripoff. I recently moved here from the north east where Colombian restaurants are known for having good food at great prices and serve lots of it. Is not fillet mignon your are offering. The chicharrón is just ok. I've had better chicharrón back in Queens NY. I particularly like Colombian chicharrón, this one needs improvement. I'm questioning whether these folks are really Colombian or just have the name for marketing purposes.
The food was good but we ordered a seafood stew and it was extremely watery. The tostones were over cooked and extremely hard to bite into, and sadly no pink lemonade. Place was clean I have to admit.
I want to love this location as it's closer to my mom's house but the few times I've gone getting a waitress to pass by and get something that was missing or needed was basically impossible. The food is great, the portions are more than decent but the customer service is always lacking
I visited the restaurant in Kendall. Food was ok, not like the one on Cutler Bay.
I've been visiting Macita's for years now and I mostly go to this location. I've always had a great meal and a great time. However the most recent time I went, I did feel that the food was lacking in some areas, the frijoles especially. I ordered a bandeja paisa and my portion of frijoles felt more watery than usual and it was noticable that there were less beans. The food did taste good, but for the prices being charged I do feel the plate could be a little more complete. La bandeja paisa is a monster dish and I felt like I finished it rather quickly. Regardless, this is still a great restaurant but I do hope the feedback is reviewed as I see I'm not the only one who shares this sentiment.
On the restaurant side... the steak although cooked medium was tough, the rice looked ans felt a day old, the fish was nothing out of the ordinary and the soup was bland. It was all edible though, the place was clean and the waitress serviceable but brought half the food up front then after 5+ minutes the rest.
Above average but nowhere close to the best Colombian food in Miami. Source: I'm Colombian.
Food was good. Service was horrible. Waitress dropped off the food and we never saw her again. Had to ask another waitress for our bill. Then you go to pay and they don’t show you a bill not on paper or on the tablet. Gave the waitress my card and she charged my card with the tip. Didn’t give me a choice of what tip I want to give. Horrible no respect. Tip is optional it shouldn’t be charged by the waitress. Especially if the service wasn’t good at all.
Food was actually pretty good, but the service was horrible. The waitress didn't even say hi. Took forever to bring coffee (restaurant wasn't even full). She was no where to be found when we were ready to order. We had to ask another waitress for water (also, horrible attitude)... I will not go back. There are a lot of Colombian restaurants with pretty good food and with good service then why go to this one when obviously they don't know how to be nice to clients... I will NOT recommend.
My wife and I stopped for breakfast on a Sunday after church. The place looked pretty cute so we stopped in. We both ordered breakfast. I had a omelette in a croissant that came with hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were exactly like the ones at McDonald’s in my omelette in croissant was pretty dry and not that terrific. The restaurant was clean and a pretty nice atmosphere. The wait staff struggled to speak English, which made it less than ideal for ordering your meal and getting service. It was like they were afraid to come back to our table because they were uncomfortable speaking in English.
I asked for water, received a cup of water with no ice. The water was not really cold. I ordered the steak sandwich (pan con bistec) I told the waitress no onions. When I ate one portion of the sandwich the meat had no flavor. The waitress said they dont season the meat, im order to have flavor they season the onions only. I was very disappointed, I did not eat the rest of my food.
Ordered a chicharron and asked for it to be cut and I was told they were not allowed. Then she asked if I wanted an arepa with it but it wasn't included in the price. I've been too many colombian restaurants and this was a first. They can't cut it and you don't get a piece of arepa or potatoe?!?!?! Immediately no.
Disappointed on my last visit. We ordered sancocho, which was okay. Chicken and beef empanadas, that were basically just potatoed, meat was non-existent; pandeyuca, I should have known better, a bit burned, overdone. There is a big difference on the flavor on this location and the one in US1.
Not great. I asked for a mondongo and I could count how many pieces of the mondongo it had, they filled it up with lots and lots of potatoes, the pork meat was hard as rock. My wife asked for empanadas and they were not that good, (She is from Colombia so she knows the food). the only good thing was the Agila beer... Edit- I saw your response. Well I have have been to other Colombian restaurants in Miami and in Medellin and in a mondongo you can taste the mondongo, not just one piece here and there and the rest full of potatoes and sweet peas and a hard as rock pork. And the empanadas tasted like they were 3 days old. Not acceptable. Suggest you get better messurements on your recipe...
I like the restaurant but not their bakery I have gone there in different occasions to buy food from their bakery and their empanadas and breads are dried which means only two things . 1. quality is going down and no. 2. they're selling old bakes from the day before which both scenarios are bad. I was very disappointed 😞. Y de veras que me encantaba este lugar. Pero no regreso
Quite a disappointment, I love Colombian food, It is one of the things I look forward when I I visit Miami, but this place.. no, this is not good at all. The only acceptable thing was the Sancocho.. and that is just that, acceptable, I feel cheated out of a good meal, and do not even mention the overprice, definitively not a recommendation. Sad I even went there. How bad was it? the fact that we did not even take pictures says it all.
Their delivery person finally arrived with our cold meal, then threw a fit saying we didn't give our unit number. I ended up having to slam the door in his face. I recommend any of the Rinconcitos Paisa instead.
Not the best service. Very disappointing. I was not given proper attention. I say at the counter area and sat down and made an order. Then when I went to use the restroom they cleared my area and someone took my chair when I came back. My food hadn’t arrived yet either so it’s not an ideal experience. The food was honestly pretty good so I can’t complain about that. It wasn’t amazing but it was solid.
WARNING: Prices recently went UP + Auto gratuity!?!?!? I wouldn't mind auto gratuity if the service wasnt so BAD!
Terrible experience. Ordered bandeja paisa and the chicharrón was rough and overcooked. Also the beef had black little metal left over from grill
This place constantly messes up our pick up orders. On one occasion, I ordered a calentado and they forgot the meat. The last time I ordered the same plate (calentado) and they did not put eggs. When we called to ask what happened to the eggs they said the calentado does not come with eggs UNLESS you ask for it. 🤦🏻♂️ Since when does a calentado not include eggs?? Needless to say after a couple of messes up orders I will not be eating there again.
Beware! Price gauging! I’ve notice this trend more and more lately from small restaurants like these, where wait staff over charge you on numerous items off menu. And when you call them on it they say the menu doesn’t reflect the additional “Covid fee” or they simply admit they screwed up. Which Is exactly what happened to me when I asked to see the menu again at check out when I notice the 30% price gauging. Not the first time it’s happened to me so I’ll never return! Careful!
Sold me a soup with spoiled beef! Disgusting!! Edit: I see you responded to me. Obviously no one “uses” spoiled beef, but some restaurants keep beef for too long or just don’t keep it in check properly, resulting in soups with spoiled beef. This is DEFINITELY what happened here. The beef had a musty smell and taste, and I can sure as heck tell you that it was unlike anything I had ordered from you before, up until that point we had ordered your sancocho very often. But I see you’d rather give me an attitude and outwardly deny that what you sold me was spoiled beef. You lost a customer, I’d give 0 stars if I could.
I have been ordering from Macitas in Kendall via phone and picking up my order for years. Yesterday I called to make my usual order and the lady that answered was super rude and told me with an attitude that if I wanted to order from the bakery side of the restaurant for pickup that I needed to go in person make my order. I was super disappointed and ended up calling Orgullo Colombiano Bakery located on 112 ST and 137 Ave and they were more than happy to take my order and have it ready for me for pick up. It’s too bad that they lost an $80 sale for just not wanting to take a simple order.
Ordered from this place a couple of days ago 2 sarcochos and it was super watery and greasy. I also ordered my husband a dish called Lengua and he got food poisoning and ended up in the hospital with severe stomach pains and fever. We will never order from here again. Be careful.
Updated review 03/06/2020 Their service is lacking as of lately. For the past 6 months that I've gone, you notice there is no system to taking orders anymore. If you have to ask who's next? in a city with poor morale your business adopts the same mentality. The same mentality of turning without signaling, of cutting people off, of slamming doors on a pregnant laddies face and yes of having been next in line to order at your business for the past four people yet you keep getting skipped because when you say you're next and others challenge; you opt to stay civilized. It's not the customers fault. Most people walk around unaware of their surroundings. Why would you notice me at counter? It's not the customers job to tally your business. The only sensible person there is now overworked due to the lazy coworkers now there. All this while the owner sits from afar watching the clown show and at the outside window cops (we love cops, nothing against them) cops at window congregate and engulf the ordering window although they've placed their orders. No mas! Ya un cliente fiel se canso del mal servicio. 3yrs old review- Love this restaurant. Because their empanadas & buñuelos are the best in all of Miami. We once moved to Pennsylvania for a year and had Macitas Colombian empanada withdraw... So wife and I drove 30mins to the nearest Columbian restaurant to satisfy our cravings. (yes, 30mins!) lol Unfortunately we left that Columbian restaurant disappointed. There's nothing better than Macitas own empanadas, their slightly spicy and delicious sauce could not be duplicated anywhere else. The Columbian restaurant in King of Prussia Pennsylvania had 3 sauces, I literally asked the owner over there, if they had the Macitas sauce. They were confused and gave us three different sauces and told us to have at it. We tried and tried but we could not come up with the authentic flavor of Macitas. First place we had breakfast upon our return to Miami was Macitas. We absolutely love them and their amazing kind hearted staff; specially Ortencia and Jhoana. Ortencia is the sweetest person you'll meet in that establishment. Jhoana follows her sweetness level as well. To the owners... Thank you for Macitas and your kitchen genius as well as, thank you for your amazing staff. We will continue enjoying your restaurant for a long time to come
Ordered a steak sandwich and a chicken sandwich both with fries. The sandwiches were cold, no hint of seasoning, the bread was soft and not toasted the fries were stone cold and over all gross. Also the onions were burnt. Paid our check and will never return.
The food is excellent but the worst service ever! It took forever for the waiter Anglica to takw the order but only us but other costumers too! The food took another half hour to come out! At the time we went they were not busy at all! We had to ask a different waiter to refilled our waters & pick up the plates & bill! I will never go back again!
My family and I have been patrons and fans of both Macitas (Hammocks and Cutler Ridge) restaurants for over 20 years but I must say the quality of the food at the Hammocks location has degraded to unacceptable levels. Their beans alone now just come with a few beans and primarily liquid. I thought this was an isolated incident but ordered food about a month later and it was the same issue. I could not ask for my food to be switch because I had ordered take out but I called the restaurant and was told this was how they came now. However, I just ordered the same dish from the Cutler Ridge location and the food was the usual, incredibly great Colombian cuisine I’ve come to expect from Macitas. I’m not certain if the Hammocks location is under different management but whomever is running the Cutler Ridge location should be made to oversee Hammocks if they don’t want that location ruining the reputation of this otherwise fantastic restaurant. BTW I will also be leaving a positive review for Cutler Ridge as the definitely deserve it.
My husband and I went last night for dinner to have the steak soup, which we have had there before but never again. The soup was not as hot as before, it was ok in taste and it tasted like it was from the day before. I have spent the whole day in and out of the bathroom and with stomach pain. I called to speak to them and was told that it could have been something I ate three days ago. This was the last time we go there.
The truth is I've known this place since the started in 184 st. They always had great food but this Sunday, was very bad. I visited the location in 104, I ordered a Mondongo, it had no taste and it felt like water down soup. The Colombian Churrasco was.orderwd well done, it's cane raw and dripping blood and not.a.pinch a.flavor, no salt, the tostones were cold, the rice was mushi and the beans had.no flavor. The food was cold. My Wife ordered a Bandera paisa, the pork was not fully fried and it came with a USDA tatoo on it. The stake was.also raw and no salt. It was horrible. They gave us a 20% discount but I feel they should have taken everything back. I tried to get waitress to put the food in a microwave but she would dissappear foe 20 minutes a time. I got frustrated I just took the food home and have to re-cook the dam stake. I dont think we will ever return.
The service was ok but very slow…. I asked for a dish that was $18 but the waitress asked if I wanted a similar dish instead…. Only until the bill came did i notice the dish was $34!!!!!! Twice the amount of the dish I asked for 🤦♀️ I thought it was very sneaky of the waitress to do that! It’s a restaurant in a strip mall… why would I be ok with paying for $34 dish without being made aware…. Last time I go there! It took forever for the food to come out and even longer for the bill… just not worth it!!
We had the steak and breaded chicken dinners, the food had no flavor!! They give you a little bit of rice with it , the tostones were horrible and customer service was not great either. It was our first time there and last time we go, I don’t recommend it. No wonder why it was empty for a Saturday night.
I order chicken soup to go. The lady told me 10,minutes,it took 25 minutes, the waiter with a rose tattoo on her arm was very rude ,not even a thank you and the soup was very cold. Horrible customer service
Eating at the restaurant is good, but don't order from ubereats. They didn't cook the fish I ordered properly and had to throw it out from all the raw pieces I found. I've never had this issue dining in and was shocked to find my food so undercooked.
Worst service ever. Customer service is extremely horrible. You’re obligated to pay 18% tip to a server that forgets everything about your order, doesn’t refill your drinks, doesn’t bring a receipt and charges you more than is supposed to. Neither servers or managers have any respect for clients. I do not recommend this place, apart from that everything is SUPER expensive, $6 for a small lemonade. After we asked for the receipt the server acted like she had made a mistake on our order, she had charge us more, she had also included her 18% tip with the bad service she gave us. And she didn’t gave us a choice if we wanted to tip or not. We would never come back.
Worst place ever took long to gives us the food and it taste bad worst place don’t come they had cockroaches
LITERALLY the WORST experience I have had in quite some time!!! The customer service has gone downhill incredibly over the years and I’ve tolerated some things but today takes the cake. I called over the phone to order a chicharrón like I’ve done many times in the past. I asked them to not cut it AT ALL and to leave the piece in its complete form. A lot of times after they cut it, they re-fry it to heat it up and you’re left with leathery, hard to chew pieces. The girl over the phone said it’s no problem. I picked up my order and then went home. When I arrive I open the package to see that they had cut it. They left the skin intact but everything else was cut. I called to ask what had happened because it was extremely dry and over fried on top of it all and the girl told me that I never asked for it to be kept whole and even if I did they don’t do that there. She refused to give me a refund saying I got exactly what I ordered. They then told me I’m probably confused and don’t know where I am because they always cut the chicharrón. 20 YEARS I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl and it has never been a problem. I spoke to Andrea and Carolina Amaya (the owner). Both were extremely rude and did not want to correct the situation. They just repeated over and over that I was wrong and I must’ve gone to a different restaurant before. They blatantly spoke over me every time I tried explaining what I got in the package. I had to ask them to stop interrupting me several times. Macita’s used to be great but they don’t train their personnel well anymore. If they changed their system and couldn’t cut the damn chicharrón, they should’ve said something over the phone when I called and let me know this is new and being implemented from now on. Absolutely DISAPPOINTING. They’ve lost not just one customer but everyone in my family as well along with friends who I’ve come with here before who have also commented the same about poor service and lack of respect to the customer. If they continue this type of business model, pretty soon Macita’s won’t exist anymore. Ridiculous…
Terrible place. I will never go back there. The ladies attending tables are the worst. Example. My wife asked for water and they forgot, alright that can happen but when we asked again to other of the ladies and told her that already we are waiting 10 minutes for the water, she didn’t bother in saying: I am sorry or I will bring it right away, she simply said, OK, like saying I Don’t Care. So food and attention: Terrible!! We asked for the arepas well toasted, when they brought them, wow they were far away from been toasted, so they took them back and brought them again like 10 minutes later, of course the rest of the food was cold by them. So never again!!
Today May 28 at 10:35 AM I went to Macitas Kendall wait aprox. 15 Min in Line ( 3 people in front of me) when it was my turn to order the attendant took the order of some one behind me, when I told the attendant that I was First, she told that she didn't saw me I 'm 6 ' tall , I think the Lady that cheat in the line was the attendant Friend. I'm 71 Years old whith a Heart Transplant I need to. eat something every 2 to 3 hours due to some meds that causes me fatigue. I Spoke with manager Johana and she saids that sometimes that Happened. I left the place and didn't buy anything. I felt Discriminated in this Place.
I waited 15 mins after arriving to pick up food that should have supposedly finished 20 mins prior to my arrival. Service was slow and the greeter at the door was unfriendly. Great food but horrible customer service.
It is a sad review for a place we used to love, we have been coming to this place for more than 10 years and sadly today we said goodbye to this place. Food was bland, the worst service ever, attention to the details 0 , and now gratuity is included so you can’t lowered it based on service. This will be the last time coming back to this restaurant and will look for a new colombian place in the area!
This place was empty except for 1 other table. I know why, after sitting to eat. The menu was half out of stock. The food was absolutely disgusting. No flavor. No water for anyone in the table so we got food without drinks then had to go find the waiter ourselves. Never coming back, save yourself the money and trip and go somewhere else.
My family ordered a turkey for Thanksgiving from this restaurant. Not only it was over priced ($230.00) but it was full of stuffing. The meat was taking out, almost completely. I wouldn't recommend this place for any occasions
I ordered mojarra frita and it was flavorless and dry. The salad was soggy and the fries were hard. I don’t recommend this macitas. The one near south dixie highway is way better
I recently visited the restaurant and ordered beef soup, it was cold and portion controlled. The service is good but lacks food preparation. Empanadas and custard drinks were good. Please change your chef!Customers expect food to be freshly made. Not microwaved ;(
Macitas always went to Cutler Bay their original was a family owned and operated awesome traditional Colombian restaurant and baker! Until about a year ago sold . Now it’s definitely NOT Colombian although they still advertise themselves as so! Food is ok some type latam . The actual locale it’s fine . I can’t recommend anything anymore I was client for almost 20 years loved them mainly in take out and fine in…. So sad miss the original Macitas … was one if the only housemade feel Colombian
Called to place a pick up order on the phone, the person who picked up the phone was extremely rude. I was placing an order for pick up just to be told to show up in person to place the order, got interrupted halfway through stating my order. I have placed the same order dozens of times previously.
I went to place an order at the small outside window, I stood there for maybe 10 minutes watching anyone who walked inside get attended to before I even got a " hello, be with you in a second". Finally made an order, waited another 10 minutes before the food came, received the food but was missing an item. Waited another 10 mins to get the missing item. By the time I received the correct order, everything was cold and tasted like the restaurant values quantity over quality. Def not worth the nuisance of a 30 min wait. Food is too expensive to be sold a terrible customer experience with it.
