This spot was a great find in a condo highrise next to the Marriott Key Biscayne . After eating at the Marriott more than several times , l spotted this little gem from my room . I thought it was a private restaurant and was happy to find out that it was open to the public . The bartender was very helpful, she walked us out to the table got our orders and gave suggestions. Since we weren’t too hungry , we just had appetizers. I had a beer 🍺 and potato skins that were delicious. My friend had the coconut shrimp . She said it was very good . The crust was crispy and the shrimp was delicious… perfectly cooked . We sat outside with a fantastic view . I will say that there is some type of construction going on , so don’t be surprised that there is a little work zone . Just look past the roped off area and up at the view and stars .
Outstanding. The views were partially blocked by construction, which was a little disappointing, but the food surpassed all of our expectations enough to make up for it. We ordered the blackened Mahi-Mahi sandwich, the fried grouper, pizza, nachos supreme, and a salad. Everything was fantastic. The wait staff was friendly, helpful, and attentivea. The only other downside was the weird entrance through the condo building. But the pros outweighed the cons enough to still push me to keep the 5 star rating.
Absolute gem in Biscayne Bay for those who appreciate a cool place with a great vibe and yummy wings! The owner, Sarah, and her loyal regular patrons I met at the bar made us feel 100% at home during our visit the night before our cruise. Highly recommend stopping by for margaritas and genuinely great people.
genuine and welcoming bar located on the 9th floor, offering stunning views of downtown. An excellent spot for watching sports, complemented by quality food and exceptionally friendly service.
After much talk, I decided to visit this lil spot conveniently 4mins away from my hotel (double tree). The atmosphere was great, and the staff was super nice and helpful with recommendations. I was a fan of the two beers I was recommended(COLD) and the garlic shrimp. Everything seemed reasonably priced and their menu full of delicious choices. This is were the staff stepped in and helped me pick something out. The view outside was obstructed from construction but nonetheless, I enjoyed myself!
I ordered the seafood trio with onion rings and OH MY GOD was it good! I'm thinking I'll go back tomorrow night for another while I'm in town. If the picture doesn't sell it, then seafood may not be for you. Came with a side salad as well, mmmmm
Their food is really good and affordable
I heard a lot about this place so I decided to stop in for a meal cause it was right down the street. At first I was a little disappointed cause no one greeted me or told me where to sit. I sat at the bar and the first bartender that came up and seemed like I was annoying her work flow or whatever mingling she was doing with her customers. When I was finally ready to order she wasn't around. Then another bartender by the name of Chelsea stepped in and she was ready to take my order. After she approached me, 2 other nice ladies approached me and asked if I was already being helped. I replied yes and this was the turning point where everything started getting good. The food was great and on point. You must try their Garlic Shrimp. It's a really nice friendly neighborhood bar with pool tables on a pool deck of a building which is the 9th floor. Prices are fair and the food is really good. I highly recommend this place and yes, make sure you are helped by Chelsea. She never missed a beat.
My favorite bar in Miami!! The staff is awesome and friendly. Sara is the best!! They have a great selection of beers and the clientele is always mellow. The location is odd but you do get a great view of Biscayne Bay and downtown. It's a great dive and I miss it already. Thank you for always taking care of Cambino. I hope to be back soon. Take care and keep up the great work!! GO DOLPHINS!!
Evacuated for hurricane Milton, and stayed at the Biscayne Marriott next door. Chelsea was an amazing bartender, fast, and kind. Whenever in the area again Mikes is a for sure go to!
This place is freaking awesome. Bartenders have a sense of humor. Happy hour pricing is amazing. Relaxed environment for sure. If you are not into crazy expensive fancy places and what to see the local scene come to Mike's. Great time!
We ordered the buffalo chicken dip, jalapeño poppers, and patty melt and it was all SOO GOOD!! Will definitely be coming back again ☺️
This bar and grill is fantastic! It's definitely a hidden and unsuspecting gem. Follow an elevator to the top terrace and be greated with a divey Irish/Boston style bar. The service is good. The beer options are plentiful and the food is priced perfectly and the portions are generous; did I mention that it was delicious as well? I'd definitely recommend Mikes to anybody looking for a low-key bar without the Miami scene.
This is a great hidden gem. A dive bar that used to be frequented by the Miami Herald reporters that worked across the street, now a locals spot. Good food for a bar and friendly service. Good for watching sports or a game of pool and decent prices. I have been going here for years. Don't let to many people know about this place!
I have been coming to Mike’s for years. It’s a straightforward, no frills bar. In simplicity, it’s brilliant. I thought it couldn’t get better, but I recently visited and ordered the grilled Mahi-Mahi Caesar wrap…incredible. I forget what a refuge this place is.
What can I say about my favorite bar in all of Miami! I've reviewed this before and l'I review it again! Hands down the best bartending staff in town and a bar who really takes care of their clients. Heather, Aly, Chelsey, Susan, Eli, EVERYONE! These bartenders are phenomenal, spectacular, stupendous... I don't have enough words to describe these individuals, cause they are all truly amazing. It's definitely not your typical bar, it isn't something glamorous or fancy, just a great bar to catch the game, hang out with friends, play some pool while playing your favorite song over the jukebox and enjoying the libations! Listen... if you want to have a good time while having really good food and enjoying a well made drink, look no further! ***Special shout-out to Heather and Aly for ALWAYS being on point and just plain being awesome!*** If you happen to go to Mikes and talk to these wonderful people, let them know you saw my review and that's why you're there! You'll see for yourself why they're so flipping great!
Very cool classic Sports Bar. The food is great, the service is phenomenal and the atmosphere is perfect. Whether you sit outside with a stellar view of the Miami skyline, or sit inside with TV's playing any relevant sport, you're gonna have a great experience at Mike's.
Reminds me of a speak easy bar in terms of locating it. It's like New York Irish Pub in the Middle of Miami City :)! Cool place for sports nights, billiard, full bar experience and comfort food! The staff is friendly and prices don't bite. Recommended!
Since 2003, a fantastic spot. Their burgers are amazing and their blacked chicken pasta is really good. Also, they have a full bar, pool tables, and a bunch of TVs. Can't wait to go back!
Best seafood gumbo I have had in a long time! 😋
Walked in after a crazy night and my god this place DOES.... NOT.... MISS! JAQUeline the Pittsburgh pirate to Sarah the great! and Aly the closer....gave me a reason to take the world and make it a better place. Thank you! Mike.... you did good real good....
Found this spot after a short walk on the docks. So good that I went 2 nights in a row while on vacation in Miami. The food is absolutely amazing. The portions are extremely generous. Service is tremendous. Sarah was my waiter and everything she suggested was fresh and delicious. 10/10 will be back. This is a big enough reason for me to travel back to Miami.
Beer options were limited but the price was best in town. Legit dive bar. Sketchy elevator and proper dive bar aroma. But don't skip on food. Good prices and good quality. Tried the pizza and chicken zingers one night and they were real good. Also had the grouper fried with a caeser salad and onion rings on a different occasion. Was great and price was only like $15 for that.
We are from Chicago and looking for a local spot with good vibes to eat and enjoy a few cocktails. This place was just that! Amazing food with plentiful portions, attentive service, and friendly "cheers" patrons. I honestly can't wait to come back on my next trip.
1st time here and absolutely LOVE this place. Bartender Chelsea was AWESOME. She was so nice and very helpful on our beer and food selection. Chelsea knows her beers, which we find that isn't common. She explained what they were. Also, Chelsea was very informative about the food choices. We'll definitely be back when in Miami. Also, well staffed, didn't have to wait for service and all the bartenders checked on us when our drink was low. ❤️❤️❤️
Googled bars nearby our hotel and Mikes came up. Immediately reminded me of our local bar back home. After the sketchy elevator ride we were warmly greeted by the bartender and servers. Sat outside and got amazing service from all staff. Beers came fast and were delicious. As was the food! Buffalo chicken dip was best we have ever had. Pizza with house made crust and sauce also super delicious. Thanks Mike’s for making our one night stay in Miami so memorable!!
$20 buckets and the food is really good!
Great for watching sports! The service is wonderful! The food is delicious! Drink choices galore! I recommend the Buffalo cheese dip, it’s my favorite and I get it every time! The Buffalo zingers are yummy too and if you want a proper meal they got you covered with meat dishes, fish dishes soups, salads, you name it they got it. Love this place! It’s always lively during football season, oh and they have seating both inside and outside!
Food was great and reasonable! Can be a bit confusing to get to with the construction. You go into the hotel and turn right at the elevator.
Only stayed long enough for one beer, but will go back in my next trip to Miami for sure! Nice hidden spot. Open late, or early as the case may be. Follow the google maps directions… not THAT hard to find.
Our server Beatrice made the experience over the top. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was basic bar food and the drinks were STRONG so that's a plus. Their take on a lemon drop was delicious, it's $5 so try it, if you trying to get lit and quick get a long island it's straight liquor.
Fun, Friendly, Festive neighborhood bar! Huge Spirit, Ice Cold Beer and Wine Selection , large dining room area with pool tables with an Irish Sports Bar Vibe. French Onion soup 🍜 is 🔥 🔥🔥, Traditionally made Classically served. Stop in a say hi to Sara for a great experience
A true Irish pub - the Mahi Ruben was soooo good. Gourmet level - delicious. They know how to cook it. Service outstanding - tvs everywhere - relaxed and chill.
Mike’s is a real hidden gem in Miami! A nice dive Irish pub with incredible food and drink prices that remind me of Wisconsin! Not to mention close proximity to the Metromover and everything else downtown, don’t pass this place up!
A breathe of Fresh Air in a sea of ‘plastic paddy bars’ in Miami. Nestled away on the 9th floor of The Venetia hotel downtown - its a great bar filled w local colour & friendliness both by staff & customers alike. Large Outdoor area to sit for smoking & inside pool tables & lots of sports Tv’s . A good selection of beers including Guinness & Smithicks on draft. Quality Bar menu st good prices and the Service is exceptional - thanks to Ally & Nancy . We’ll be back 👏👏
One of the only places I go to in Miami. Staff is kind and inviting and the food is great. Awesome place to watch just about any game on and shoot some pool, and the view is definitely a plus.
Chelsea the blonde beauty was SO KIND and welcoming!!!! I love her and now I will come back specifically for her. I highly recommend her as a bartender <3 ♥️
Mike's is the best. Been coming here for years and they never disappoint. The food is always fire (try their pizza) and the menu has plenty of options for everybody. The chill, welcoming atmosphere and "Cheers"-like vibes coupled with the friendly service make it a favorite of locals and visitors alike. All the girls behind the bar and serving tables are great, but Sara is my favorite!
Great Rooftop bar - construction going on at pool - so limited views - but still great!!
If you love classic dive bars with unbeatable views of the Miami skyline, Mike’s is the place. It delivers cold, reasonably priced drinks, great conversations with bartenders or fellow patrons, and a laid-back vibe. It’s also a perfect spot to catch a game without the overpriced hassle of most Miami bars.
We stop in every time we are in town for a cruise. The service is great and the food is consistently good! Definitely try the house made chips and salsa - it's got a nice garlicky zing to it! 😋
Really enjoyed their bar and the food was pretty good for a bar food
Unexpected gem of a place! Great French onion soup and Reuben sammich!
10/10 recommend. I would fly to back in a heartbeat just to eat here and enjoy the friendly service again. After having terrible experiences at two other restaurants we found Mike's and met the most amazing person (Aly) in the whole land. Not only was the service impeccable but the food was some of the best I had on my entire vacation. Huge portions and normal priced menu. Great atmosphere with NICE people!
Love this place. It’s like a tavern in the north on Miami’s beautiful water front. Sara absolutely made our experience. This is our second visit before a cruise, we stay at the Hilton and it’s nice to be at a cool, non-pretentious bar in Miami!
Between Sarah and Aly quite possibly the best local gem in the city. From top to bottom the place is a legendary watering hole with arguably the best food in town. ICONIC. IYKYN......
This place is great. Bartender was awesome and the drinks were stiff. The food is excellent. I wouldn’t call it “ your normal bar food”. I was there on a Tuesday. Not too busy but an excellent bar. Highly recommend.
If you’re in the area, and love dive bars more than those expensive fancy places, then this is the spot for you! FANTASTIC wait staff and bartenders. Buffalo Chix dip was awesome, and the rib eye was charred perfectly! Cold beers, fair prices. Check it out!!! 👍🏼🍻☘️
My family stayed at the Marriot near Mike's, this was a great bar. Fun local atmosphere, good food, tv's for football, and pool tables. Very convenient to our hotel. What a great addition to our Miami stay. We felt right at home at Mike's. Thanks for the hospitality.
This little rooftop bar is a great spot for reasonable drinks, beer, and decent food. It has a mix between a sports bar and an Irish pub vibe —all set on top of a great Miami view. It’s definitely a great locals hangout. BUT if you are looking for a trendy over-priced clout-chasing spot you can just skip this spot.
Always a pleasure coming to mikes, everyone was amazing but despite all the chaos Maria made sure we always had what we needed in a timely manner. Mikes is a charm in Miami
Truly a gem in Miami. My husband brought me home dinner after discovering this place and i literally crave the tomato basil soup and the country fried chicken every week. The tomato soup is honestly the best I’ve ever had, very creamy and rich in flavor and the country chicken you can’t go wrong if you need a good meal. Highly recommend!
Visited Mike's a week ago food was great and drinks cheapest we had on this trip so it's a big thumbs up from dav and av from edinburgh ,scotland
Hermoso lugar, increíble atención, la comida súper rica y los tragos muy buenos también.
Patty melt was great! Fries were hot. Blacken Fish sandwich was fresh and delicious. Service could have been better but at least I got a smile. The roof is under construction but still got a decent view.
This is a great place for an afternoon drink; affordable for a Canadian. I came at 3.30 on a Thursday and it was empty, but it's a decent space with a small patio and a pretty decent view of the cruise ships. Apparently it's in a condo. You take the elevator to the ninth floor. The building is being renovated as of this review, so it appears the pool is closed.
Some of the best prices you'll find in Miami with a classic Irish bar feel and great views of the city.. Seafood gumbo is okay and the burger came out pretty well done but drinks were priced gray and the servers were nice
While the restaurant was a little difficult to find at first (its located inside of a residential building), once we found it, the location is amazing! The outdoor patio is on the 10th floor facing a pool, and has amazing views of the Miami skyline. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially for the area. The only reason that I didn't give it 5/5 stars is because the food is just alright and the service took an extremely long time even though there were not many guests there. I'll come a third time and see if either of those things improves.
Lots of different beers and alcohols to choose from and the staff is very friendly. Prices are reasonable considering its Miami. Good luck finding the place though. It's on the 9th floor of a hotel across from the swimming pool. GPS had a hell of a time trying to figure out how to get here. I walked around the building twice before I finally saw a small sign that said Mike's.
Cajun steak tacos - winner. Deluxe pizza - loser. Pizza over cooked on one half w a chewy crust all the way around. Good selection of cold beers. Lots of sports on the TVs. Slow food prep but table service was good. The pizza stopped this place from getting five stars.
Read the reviews and had to check it out. Sketchy elevator ride to 9th floor, check. We decided to sit outside under the fans and watch tv. Buffalo chicken dip was on point. They had a whole list of specials so we went with the steak tip tacos ans they were pretty good. Beer was cold and server was very attentive. Shame the rooftop view is obscured.
A hidden gem. Few people know of this very good restaurant/sports bar hidden on the ninth floor of the Venetia. The food ranges from very good comfort food to superb, like its fresh fish, at reasonable prices. Excellent service. Dine outdoors overlooking the causeway to Miami Beach or indoors. Validated valet parking.
Rooftop but views are obstructed somewhat and deck was under construction. The food was incredible.
Me encantó el sitio una hermosa vista y los mejores precios q he visto en pizzas en todo usa pero la atención fue medio mala
Went here on my lunch break and ordered a spicy buffalo burger. Took almost 50 minutes to get my food when there was almost nobody at the restaurant. Food was very mediocre... Being in Miami, I wouldn't really recommend - there are so many better restaurants. On a good note, the view was very nice!
Had a lot of fun. Awesome service , food is good enough, and you have a great view on the skyline at night. Restrooms could have some room for improvement.
Staying at the Marriott Biscayne and needed some food within walking distance. This place showed up on Google Maps. It’s on the 9th floor of an adjacent building. The outside is currently under construction. Food and time to receive food was dismal. Can’t speak on the atmosphere because we were there on 10/11/24 at around 5pm. Small crowd, but I can imagine on weekends it could have potential. Again, food quality and time to get food, not great, staff was friendly. May be better options in the area. We ordered Zingers, a pizza, half and full rack ribs, and a salad.
Arrived at 7:15 and it took almost 45 min to get our appetizer. I can understand a backed up kitchen but also never got silverware until after asking twice once our food arrived, took forever to get drink refills and asked for water 4 times and never got it. Once we did get our food it was good. Service needs improved, especially out on the patio!
Traveling from Key West and looked for a nice quiet dinner before going to hotel. Do not go if you want a balcony view as its under construction. When we got there, didnt seem very busy, definitely was a local watering hole, but decided to stay as it got good reviews. Music was way loud, food took way long and wasnt that great. Service was pleasant and accomodating. Its a bar and we should have found a place more suitable. Flip a coin
Not sure the cause for multiple positive reviews here. The food was ok at best. Not expensive but not cheap. Supposedly an Irish Bar but played hip hop music the whole time. Don’t care, but was funny nonetheless. Personally I wouldn’t return here if I were in the area. Did have a nice view over the bay though.
Staff was very friendly but it's next to a pool construction zone. Chose it simply for its location to the water taxi from Miami Beach to the mainland during Art Basel. Food was awful and drinks were expensive. I won't be back.
While visiting Miami, Mike's was recommended. we went on a Friday around 6pm...sat at the bar. The place was nearly empty with 3 or 4 patrons, also sitting at the bar. There were 3 bar tenders. To say the service was poor is a huge understatement. The bar tenders, all female, were busy flirting with 2 other patrons and couldn't be bothered with us. We asked for a menu and eventually a single piece of paper with a few options was given to us. We thought this was pub food and the paper we held had not a thing we desired. We were going to pay for our one drink and leave when we asked one of the bar tenders where me might get a hamburger. She mentioned a fast food place. After about 5 minutes she said "Oh, you know we have hamburgers." She had given us the specials of the day only on that single piece of paper. They had a separate menu with many options. The woman working in the kitchen (possibly an owner?) was quite nice. The food was just OK. BUT...those bar tenders were the worst. Had a very hard time getting a drink at all and not because they were busy. They were VERY loud to the point that I couldn't really talk to my husband at all (one almost cackled). We felt that we were a huge inconvenience to them. We finished up and got out of there as quickly as possible.
I’ve been here a handful of times and they have been pleasant up until the last two visits. Got the same bartender with black hair who shows to be impatient and lacks proper customer service. When there is a slight inconvenience she will verbally take it out on you with a sour face and a vile attitude. During our last visit she was annoyed bc we were unsure about keeping an open or closed tab. Ok I get it, you’re annoyed but there was unnecessary hostility and told us to decide “it’s not that hard” she honestly could have said something along the lines of “I’ll give u a moment to decide” and it would honestly made the whole ordeal pleasant but no. Totally killed our vibe on our first round of drinks, we did not feel welcomed or comfortable to ask for drinks. So disappointed bc I genuinely enjoyed this place. I brought loved ones to this establishment to enjoy drinks and a good time but I was disappointed and embarrassed with said bartenders “service” and how she treated us.
Read the reviews so we were excited to try Mikes. Service was quick and courteous but the food for both my husband and I was not good. I had a patty melt that crumbled on my plate for whatever reason and my husband ordered a Philly cheesesteak that was dry and tasteless. Disappointed 😕
Stopped here on our last day in Miami for dinner. The service was not friendly and if that wasn't bad enough the food was horrible. Once we brought to the attention of the manager she just argued with us for several minutes. I don't enjoy writing a negative review about any business, but this couldn't be avoided. I would strongly urge you to reconsider this food establishment. We were a group of nine and not one of us could say anything good about the food.
Went to this place because it was Irish, local and had pizza. TERRIBLE service...would have had enjoyed the very bland mushy thin crust if I could have had a refill of any beverage wine or water. She was told we we needed a refill and was on her phone in the corner. If you want to call it local...that is fine. It is not clean, not nice, not good service, not an Irish feel. Not good.
Recently asked for a recommendation near Frost museum in Miami… not sure who I crossed but we took the recommendation of Mike’s at Venetia. I’m writing this as I wait for more food to hit the table. When we walked in they tried to lead us to a table outside… we specifically requested indoor dining for our party. They were empty, so the change was simple. Food began to come out after nearly 40 minutes, but not all at once. We were a party of 11. Some items didn’t come out until over an hour after our arrival. And of course some items came out wrong. The food is mediocre at best. Couple different orders of wings- all wings the same tho with way too much sauce poured over the top of them. Nachos had a little cheese on top with an abundance of tomato and lettuce thrown all over and then a grilled chicken breast cubed thrown on top of that. Not good either. Also, an old fashioned and a Long Island iced tea were ordered. Both were no good. I have no idea how this place has been in business over 30 years. Do not come here for food ever!
After waiting for our drink, bartender finally came back and gave us a menu. She never came back to get our order. I needed to use the restroom so I stood and went to where she was, and she looked at me and continued refilling the straw container. A waitress at the end of the counter saw she was ignoring me and walked down and offered to help me. After over 30 minutes of waiting, she finally came back to check on us, and I asked for our check. She wasn’t busy; there were only two others in the bar/restaurants at that time. There‘s no excuse for rudeness. If we had been ugly to her, I would understand, but we weren’t. I can’t comment on the food because we never got any.
So yesterday a few friends and I went there to play pool. Have not been there in about 5years (used to be a good place). The tables were all dirty and a lot of maintenance was happening around the area (almost empty). We asked the bartender to please send someone to clean one table but never showed up. However, we consumed 3 Beer Pichers and a few shots, a total of about $120+ (each pitcher was $19 but with tax and "tips-included" each was like $27) smaller pitchers compared to other places (the bartender charged us each time before releasing the pitcher). When I asked the bartender to at least exchange our glasses for cold ones, she became very upset saying "She should charge for tips no matter if the job is done or not, to respect her job?" (we brought the pitchers and glasses to our tables-she just poured the beer into the pitcher). The tips should be earned, not taken from your clients! In addition, since their pool table was getting the balls stuck in it every 10mns we we forced to call them to release them. Please fix the place and the attitude. Thank you.
This was my first time coming here and the food was terrible and the service was nice, but very slow. Not to mention our order was wrong. We asked for a patty melt and we got a cheeseburger? My hotdog was so dry it literally looked like a piece of tough petrifed beef jerky. The garlic rolls were just regular rolls with parasian cheese and little to any garlic to them. Safe to say we will not be coming back nor recommending this place to anyone.
Low class employees. Hostess told me and my companion to sit anywhere. She didn't give us a menu. We waited 10 minutes before a waitress acknowledged our presence by telling us to wait with a hand gesture. Another waitress approached the table next to us and had it not been for those patrons telling her we were still waiting on initial service, we'd have been ignored again. The waitress finally walked over asked us what drinks we wanted, but never offered recommendations. When we asked for a menu, she pointed to a scan code sticker on the table and told us with an attitude to scan it with our phones, then walked off. We got up and left at that point. I wouldn't recommend this place based purely on the lack of service. It was not busy at that time and I saw more employees just huddled at the end of the bar talking amongst themselves than tending to customers.
They automatically add 20% tip to bill for 4 people. Tipping should be optional based on quality of service. We did not receive that quality.
Me perdieron las llaves de mi auto en el valet, me tuve que volver a mi casa en uber, al otro día me llamaron que las encontraron, volví en uber y no fueron capaces de ni siquiera devolverme el dinero de los uber
