Opinions de Motek - Mediterranean Cafe & Restaurant Miami
Loved the food ! It was great and the suggestions from waiter was top notch ! The playlist matched the vibe
Motek my absolute favorite ❤️ spot in Miami! Honestly the food is so good! It’s by far the best I’ve had outside of Israel! Hummus is perfection! And every other dish I’ve had was just perfect! I try to eat here at least 2x a month. With their new location coming to Miami Beach will easily be eating here once a week!
Amazing restaurant and tasty food. Definitely recommend!
Amazing! Got the Motek Sampler, each of the hummus dishes in it was amazing, very fresh taste with the pita. Also got the falafels which were great. The spicy schnitzel sandwich was good too. Overall a very good stop for Mediterranean food in the area! Prices are reasonable given the area and it is spacious enough. It is a bit confusing to find it, it is located inside the mini mall area.
Excellent restaurant!! Delicious food!! This Motek is the best of all Motek restaurants. The service is outstanding! Elena is very kind and knowledgeable about the food!! She is wonderful! This Motek is cozy and charming secret space in downtown. We have enjoyed dinner and lunch in this place since it’s opening. Excellent Option for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!! I really recommend this place!
Motek Cafe in Downtown Miami offers a delightful, authentic Israeli dining experience. The cozy ambiance complements the excellent service, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable meal. Each dish is a testament to traditional flavors, prepared with a modern twist. It's a must-visit spot for those looking to savor unique and delicious cuisine in the heart of Miami. Highly recommended!
The food was top notch, worth the price. Had the salmon bowl, fries and everything was delicious. Food was split between two and it was plenty. Perfectly seasoned and beautifully brought to the table. Would highly recommend. Only thing to note is the area is spotty, but the building is safe w security in front and throughout given it’s a jewelry district.
This was my first time having Israeli Mediterranean food and I am so glad I chose Motek!! I was in love and blown away first and foremost by the fresh pomegranate lemonade but then my sampler came and took the prize! The hummus is fresh, rich and creamy! I was truly impressed and will be back again! My server Dani was extremely Attentive and recommended some amazing dishes! Thank you Motek for making my first experience an amazing one! We will definitely be back!
Really nice experience, even though it was in a mall. No wait for a table and I really enjoyed the food. Little pricer for lamb but I enjoyed it. Lots of tables so it appears the can accommodate parties of any size. Great service which was awesome, Miami just automatically applies gratuity, so I’m assuming they know they are getting tipped so just provide prompt / quality experiences
I have been wanting to visit this restaurant and today finally did. The service has been great. The menu is pretty extensive with lots of options. The food is delicious and authentic! The sweets are to relish. Great place for Vegans and vegetarians alike. Next time I’ll try protein. The Israeli Breakfast and Mushroom Hummus are outstanding. Very healthy food. The place clearly has a following of Israeli expats which is always a great sign. The owner is very attentive and checking on guests continuously. The place was consistently busy and I saw lots of takeout orders going out. Very clean and Covid conscious.

Amazing restaurant and tasty food. Definitely recommend!
Must try! The food is top-notch. The chef and staff were extremely accommodating. I’m not the biggest fan of tahini, they use quite a bit in the hummus. However, the texture of the hummus was the smoothest I’ve had in a long time. Very well done and will always recommend!

We read a write-up of MOTEK in today’s papers, and a residents of downtown Miami for the past 10 years, we needed to check it out. As you can see from our own photos, the food was packed and presented delightfully well for take-out, they take pride in their creations and glad they protected the food well. We ordered humus with minced meat (my absolute favorite of the night), Sabigh sandwich, crispy crunchy chicken schnitzel! The food is delicious while it lasted .... perfectly cooked chicken was crispy, hummus tasted fresh just like my mom makes it at home. it’s smooth, not overly sour or salty taste is clear indication there are two essential ingredients chickpeas and tahini without other fillers. Those pillow-y delicious pita breads are absolutely addictive. Welcome to the neighborhood MOTEK.... we can’t wait to come back.
This israeli restaurant was soooo good. Absolutely delicious shakshouka and israeli breakfast. This location wasn’t the cutest compared to other locations but definitely go if it’s near you!
Everything at the restaurant was great, from the staff and manager who graceusouly accommodated a special request to the food that was delicious. The only issue was that in our party of 7 the entrees were not delivered at the same time so people felt like they had to wait for others before eating, but the staff and food taste outweighed that issue, especially the whole branzino.
Came for the jewelry store and couldn’t leave until I tried Motek. It caught my eye immediately with the wall paper and vines coming from the roof. For brunch we ordered… Israeli Breakfast, Jerusalem Lox & Bagel, two cappuccinos and for dessert the pistachio cream baklava. Everything was really flavorful and delicious! Can’t say I have anything negative to say.
What a great find! Motek is located inside the Jewelry district, making it easy to miss. I learned about it from a friend and will continue to spread the word to others because its that incredible! Absolutely everything we tried blew us away: mushroom hummus, hummus shakshuka, burger, israeli salad, challah bread, pita bread. The bread came out so warm and fresh, we got 2 more orders for the table. The only reason I regret eating too much was because we didnt leave room for dessert! We'll definitely be back to try the challah bread pudding, rumor is, it comes with raisins (ny favorite!). Highly Recommend: hummus shakshuka, mushroom hummus, challah bread, chocolate babka ➕️IG: @miamicheatdays for more recommendations ✍️
Must try place downtown hidden inside a jewelry building. Consistently delicious food, don’t miss out on the mushroom hummus because it’s so creamy and tasty. I’m also in looooove with their chicken shawarma sandwich, the crispy cauliflower appetizer is pretty special as well. The staff is always friendly; Jork our server tonight was attentive, offered great recommendations and made our meal quite amenable. Do swing by and you won’t be disappointed. Ps: the pomegranate lemonade rocks!
The food was exceptional! We ordered many different items, but the one that stood out was the hummus — it was perfectly balanced, silky, and paired beautifully with the well-seasoned bread. Nicole, our server, was outstanding. She was incredibly attentive, fast, and always nearby without being intrusive. She knew the menu well and was both personable and genuinely caring. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience thanks to both the delicious food and Nicole’s excellent service.
My first reaction to this seeing the location of this restaurant was not good. It is located in a lobby / mall of a building in downtown Miami. But the restaurant was nicely decorated in a very modern and tasteful way. The food was amazing and the overall experience was enjoyable. I would definitely go back when next in Miami.
I went to Motek - Downtown for a quick stop for a breakfast and can say that it was the most delicious Shakshuka in Miami. Taste is very rich and all ingredients are fresh. I also ordered Jerusalem Lox & Bagel but this dish didn’t impress me so much. Service with great hospitality, place is little bit tiny but charming. Great option for a quick breakfast or brunch.
Had a late lunch here with a friend and everything was really good. Our favorite was the tzatziki’s and veggies crudités. We also ordered the Greek salad. Super fresh food and excellent service by Samir and Juan. Very attentive and friendly. Would definitely return and try more dishes and maybe dessert. ;)
We had some trouble finding this place as it’s in the middle of a jewelry exchange building and so we walked around in circles before finding it. But let me tell you, it was worth every second! We got the arayes burger with fries. Both came out piping hot and cooked to perfection! The seasoning for the kofte filling and crunchy bread all comes together blissfully in your mouth. In addition to ketchup, it comes with two other incredible sauces. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Miami!
This incredible restaurant is located inside a building full of jewelry and diamond stores, in a somewhat questionable neighborhood. The amount of armed security around is equally reassuring and concerning. Everyone was friendly, food was amazing and came quickly... I would go back if I'm ever in town again.
Food is delicious but more importantly was the service and attitude of Joao. Definitely coming back for this authentic taste and great service and atmosphere.
🌟 Stunning Atmosphere & Incredible Service This place is absolutely beautiful and amazing! The food was perfectly seasoned and incredibly delicious—every bite was a treat. The crowd was vibrant and full of beautiful energy, and our server John was truly out of this world. Attentive, friendly, and made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend specially happy hour more affordable. --- Would you like to add the name of the restaurant or tailor it for a specific platform like Yelp or Google Reviews?
Our first time at Motek and the food was lovely! Coffee was also really nice and the service was quick and our waitress Lori gave great customer service. Highly recommend!
Excellent little spot in a very unique and creative location inside the seybold building in downtown. Had the pleasure of enjoying lunch here today and was blown away by all the deliciousness that came out of their kitchen. All the food was great and the waiter Samir was awesome! Will definitely be back.
The labneh za’atar is a m sizable creamy and dreamy yogurt dip is sprinkled with za’atar (sumac), and served with olive oil in the middle and with two fresh pitas for your dipping pleasure. Note to management: Two aren’t enough! The other star is the arayes burger, served with a trio of dipping sauces, including harissa aioli. It’s an out-of-this-world Lebanese delicacy in which mini beef and lamb patties are grilled into a pita. Motek’s halva silan dessert is something that must be experienced. Take vanilla ice cream, put halva (a flaky Middle Eastern confection made of tahini and honey) on top with candied pecans, and a nice drizzle of silan (date syrup). This wet/dry combination of textures and flavors left me speechless. Although there are several other selections on the menu, I refuse to eat any other dessert here.
I've eaten a lot all over Israel. This place tastes authentic. You can tell because the basics are extremely high quality: the tomatoes and cucumbers are bright and healthy, and the pita is clearly made in house. Also, there seem to be a lot of Israelis eating here, which is a comforting vote of confidence. Miami needed a legit Israeli place. Get the sabich pita, the labaneh, and an Israeli salad. !לחיים
We wanted something different and Motek did not disappoint! The waiter was great at explaining what the dishes were. D-LISH!!! We started with the sampler with hummus, babaganoush, salad and roasted eggplant. THAT was sooo good! We continued with falafel, halloumi and a beef/lamb skewer. All of it was amazing and if we were here another day we would go back! They are a BYOB restaurant which we didn’t know, but we had Turkish Coffee instead- The entire experience was top-notch!
Such a great hole in the wall. It's easy to miss as you can't see it from the car but you can park right down the street for $5 and walk 2 minutes up the street into a mall-like area. The servers were super attentive and accommodating. The vegan options are worth going for. The portions were generous overall and everything had so much flavor. I ordered the kale falafel and loved it. The Israeli impossible burger was flavorful and generous portions were given. Definitely returning!
Motek Catering recently provided an exceptional business dinner experience. The food was outstanding, and the presentation was truly impressive (see image). We’ve trusted Motek for several events this year and look forward to continuing our partnership for many more occasions. A heartfelt thanks to Maria, who flawlessly translates our vision into reality every time.
A Mediterranean cafe and restaurant hidden in a sea of jewelry shops feels right. Especially if the food is this good. The price is firmly in the two $$ range. But if you come here knowing that, nothing will disappoint. Great staff, fast service, and AMAZING quality food. Fyi, they don’t take cash
Amazing food, quality ingredients and beautiful flavors. Worth every penny. A lot of attention to detail in how the food is prepared and presented. They had great service and were so friendly and accommodating to our dog (gave him water and replenished it). Drove almost an hour just to try the food and can’t wait to come back! Ordered the sampler platter and shakshuka (Aventura mall location).
2/27/2025 - Searching TikTok in Los Angeles, we found this unique cafe store in Miami for a visit. We enjoyed the cozy ambience and hospitality at the store, especially Joao, our waiter. He told me MOTEK means Sweet Heart, etc. Cafe MOTEK was opened in July 2020 as a first store in Miami. Today, the chain store has 8 locations in Miami.
So, I recently ate a delicious meal surrounded by more gold, diamonds and precious gems than almost anywhere in the United States, and fortunately, you can as well! The Motek Cafe is located in the historic Seybold building, which according to their website is the second largest diamond and jewelry center in the USA! Also officially on the National Register of Historic Places. The Cafe has seating inside the restaurant as well as seating in the corridor of the Seybold Building where you can gaze in awe of vast amounts of gems and jewelry! The Cafe does a truly remarkable job of preparation and presentation all with super efficient service that gives diners well thought out dishes that are sure to please. Serving all day brunch, salads, hummus, burgers, wraps, sandwiches as well as plates, bowls with delicious beverages and sweets. Every time while dining food has Ben delivered quickly, looking beautiful and has never fallen short. I have tasted perhaps some of the best breads in Miami so far such as the unbelievable pita and Jerusalem breads, so, so fresh! The steak sandwich & the chicken shawarma plates both top notch. Don't miss the Rimonana (mint lemonade with pomegranate). Also great Turkish coffee, baklava and rugelach! When you have finished your meal, don't forget to check out the 300+ jewelry stores on 10 floors!!
Located in downtown Miami, inside a mostly jewels gallery, the place looks good, well decorated and with good ambience, if you visiting Miami this is a area that is hard to park and $$. They have a good menu with options to everyone, the portions where good. Abs the food very testy. I order the challah schnitzel, side of hummus, was great super crispy and delicious. It is hard to get a parking around this area, but must to try if you are around
Tried the new Aventura location for our anniversary dinner and it was lovely. We went on a Tuesday night and it was a little busy but we were seated right away. They have a large assortment on their menu for wide variety of tastes. We tried the Pancake and the Eggplant and Egg bowl. Both were nice size portion and tasty. My husband had the banana shake which was practically a meal on to it self (very tasty and filling). We ended with the Nutella babka which was served warm and little crispy with melted chocolate, so good. It was a nice ambiance with a tropical meets Mediterranean flare. We would definitely go back to try other dishes and with friends.
First Time first impressions, Amazing experience and amazing food. My wife, I and my friends came here and were seated within 1 minute (they were quite busy as well). The food came out very fast and it was delicious. Our server was very nice and the cleanliness of the restaurant was top notch. We ordered the Arais, chicken Shawarma warp, sandwich stake. They were all delicious and fresh. Also, I ordered some sweets and they were so good and fresh.
This place is a gem for elevated Israeli food. We lived in Israel for years and some of the food could contend in Tel Aviv. We had the hummus, falafel, summer salad, chicken shawarma plate and a banana/date smoothie. Everything was beautiful presented, came out in a timely manner, and the service was excellent. The food tasted authentic but some of the dishes had a little extra flare to elevate it and make it unique (i.e. pistachios in the watermelon/feta/mint salad). As for parking, there is valet nearby, street parking and some parking lots. We parked across from the courthouse and walked down. If I had one recommendation, it would be to open a location in Boca, Delray, or Fort Lauderdale area. We drove over an hour just to come here and wish there were options in Palm Beach or Broward in addition to Dade. Love this restaurant and will return (but would frequent more if you were closer)!
Motek is so goooooooood! Probably the best food we had in Miami! It’s in this hidden spot inside of a a mall filled with jewelry stores. I wasn’t expecting it to be so good. I definitely recommend all of the food we had, falafel platter with salad and hummus, arayes burger, french fries, chicken shawarma and mint tea. Great prices for the quality!
Best Israeli food I have had in many years. I went to the new location coral gables. It’s in miracle mile. The best wiater gonzalo thank you for your great service I would love to take you to my restaurant in aruba. Great service and atmosphere, decor everything is just perfect. The food amazing. We will be back soon. Eva
Absolutely amazing, probably the best restaurant I have ever been to. While visiting Miami for a week I’ve been to this restaurant 5 times. The prices are expensive, but they are relatively affordable considering the Miami standarts. The atmosphere is super cozy and the food is absolutely perfect 🥹😍. If I ever visit Miami again this restaurant will be my go-to.
Motek is a fantastic Mediterranean restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and excellent service. The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The hummus we ordered was creamy and flavorful, with just the right amount of garlic and lemon. It was served with fresh pita bread, which was soft and warm, and complemented the hummus perfectly. The chicken shawarma plate was a highlight of our meal. The chicken was tender and juicy, with a delicious blend of spices that made each bite burst with flavor. The dish was also accompanied by a side of fluffy rice, crisp salad, and tangy pickled vegetables that added a nice crunch to the plate. The lamb shawarma plate was equally impressive. The lamb was cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and tender meat inside. The dish was also served with fluffy rice, crisp salad, and tangy pickled vegetables, which balanced out the rich and savory flavors of the lamb. Overall, Motek is a wonderful Mediterranean restaurant that offers delicious and authentic dishes. The portions are generous, the flavors are bold and satisfying, and the service is top-notch. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a great meal and a memorable dining experience
My first time in this place was with my Friends from Israeli, the service was really good! The server gave us arak Shots, is similar to Anis. We eat a lot of entrees (Cauliflower, shakshuka, eggplant Hummus, Etc). For principal plate, we order Lamb Pita, Hummus Shakshuka and burger. If you never try this food, you must need visit this place.
Delicious Israeli restaurant in Downtown Miami. Very authentic. My husband lived in Israel for many years and he is so happy we found this restaurant. They have a very diverse menu. We ordered lamb shawarma and a sampler plate. The shawarma comes with a delicious sauce. The eggplants were the best ones I ever had in a restaurant
So sad this restaurant is only found inside of the seybold building! They NEED to expand! Mediterranean food has always been a favorite of mine, but it is so hard to find amazing quality here in south Florida. This restaurant offers amazing flavors, fresh challah & pita! Great fresh beverages! The menu has such great options it’s so hard not to pick over 5 dishes!!! You won’t be disappointed ordering from here! To go or to stay! Well worth every penny! Wishing this business success all around 🙌🏼
If I could give them 10 stars I would! This place is a hidden gem. We went here on a whim for brunch and everything was absolutely phenomenal!! So fresh and packed with flavor and spices. Even the Greek salad was mouth watering with generous servings. This has been the only restaurant in Miami that hasn’t disappointed us and we’ll probably just keep coming here until we leave. We especially loved their burger, it was super juicy and wrapped up it what looked like pita bread. I’m sure anything you order from here would be phenomenal!!
If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, you need to visit Motek! From the moment you step inside, you're transported to a world of culinary bliss. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with elegant decor, comfortable seating, and perfect lighting. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, (shoutout to John!), making you feel right at home. But let's get to the food! Every dish is a masterpiece of flavors and textures. The chefs take great pride in sourcing the freshest, highest quality ingredients and crafting them into culinary delights. Whether you're a meat-eater, vegetarian, or vegan, there's something on the menu to tantalize your taste buds. The attention to detail doesn't stop with the food - the drinks are equally impressive. The cocktails are expertly crafted with just the right balance of flavors. Overall, Motekis a true gem. The combination of outstanding food, excellent service, and elegant ambiance makes for an unforgettable dining experience.
The server (I do not recall the name, but he was slightly short in height and in black attire) provided great service. He helped us choose vegetarian options during the happy hour yesterday (every food item was brilliant; + look at the way they display the dessert menu) and accommodated our dessert request brilliantly (out of stock ingredient - was in transportation to restaurant). Now I realise and wish I could tip him more than the standard 20% service charge.
The place is super cute, ingredients are always fresh, the food is consistently good, and the price is fair. If you like real Mediterranean food or if you are just tired of the usual Miamian tourist traps, you should definitely try Motek. I like going there for lunch/brunch, but they do lunch and dinner as well.
Food quality and taste great, very polite and kind staff! Its a chill Mediterranean cafe! Hope you get to enjoy their delicious menu! 🙏🙏

Cafe Motek – Downtown delighted us with its cozy atmosphere and stylish interior. The food was fresh and full of flavor, and we especially enjoyed the Middle Eastern dishes. Service was fast and friendly, and the staff was always ready to help with your selection. The prices are justified by the quality and presentation of the food. It's a great spot for a leisurely breakfast or lunch in the city center.
After reading great reviews about this place I was keen to dine here. I was indecisive about what to order as there were so many great dishes to choose from! The chicken skewer was edible but lacked flavour. Halloumi is standard, can’t go wrong and it was delicious. The restaurant was located in a building full of jewellery stores; I almost missed it completely!
I came here with my friend for lunch after shopping at Aventura mall the food was pretty good. I would not give it five stars, but it was good. The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive nice kind. It’s a cute atmosphere, but at the end of the day, it’s a restaurant in the mall. we had the burger, which was good but not great. We had the salmon which I felt could’ve been slightly larger. The hummus is amazing. The Israeli salad was great as well. The dessert was average.
If you're downtown Miami and looking for a hidden gem of a restaurant - an oasis that will serve up great Middle Eastern cuisine, look no further. Tucked away in the Seybold jewelry building is Cafe Motek. This location is just one of multiple spots in south Florida, and it has far less space than its other restaurants. So, luxurious it is not. But they use the space well and it gives cafe culture even if smack in between mall jewlery stores. Service was impeccable. I was greeted right away, and my server was very welcoming, knew the menu well and ensure my food came out quickly. I went with the Israel breakfast, which includes three eggs, sesame bread, and a bunch of accompaniments (zhug, avocado, Israeli salad, tahini and more). I felt like a king eating at this low brow mall. To top it off, I couldn't resist having a dessert that I was lucky enough to order at their Coral Gable location. You'll see in the pics why I couldn't resist it: vanilla gelato with halva shavings and candied pecans. Absolutely incredible and one of the most unique desserts I've had. I highly recommend Motek. If you're closer to the other locations, you'll have more space and the vibe will be a bit better (hence one star reduction). But trust me that the quality of the food and size of the menu is not lacking at this little sister version of greatness.
Motek! One of my favorite downtown spots by far. Chicken schnitzel sandwich for the win 💫 Probably one of the best schnitzel sandwiches I’ve ever had Atmosphere is super laid back (it’s inside of the Jewlery center). Food always is super fresh. Personal Notes; ordered a cappuccino, I think it was “ok”, really some spot downtown will get a proper machine like a Slayer and take everyone out of business. Hope these guys do! -I understand that the ingredients justify the price, but at this price they should be providing cloth napkins instead of paper.

My son and I loved the food there and the service...the music, well, I like authentic so, any Israeli music would have been better for my taste. And I wish that cafe could be outdoors!!
Located in downtown Miami, in one of the shopping stores, I think it’s a good place for breakfast or brunch. Don’t feel the atmosphere will be very cozy for dinner. Had shakshuka and grilled cheese. Both were good and bread that came with shakshuka was hot and tasty. I didn’t like coffee, but overall atmosphere and food was nice.
Halloumi salad with grilled chicken was so good, every ingredient was so fresh & the seeds of the jalapeño gave it the perfect kick. Baklava (traditional) was as always delicious, perfect ratio pistachio:honey:pastry. Turkish coffee i think wasnt made well, a significant amount of sludge at the bottom, like enough to make you choke when settled. Their burger is ADDICTIVE; i come/order way too frequently. Ambiance mid plaza is funny but inside is cute.
We were in Miami library for a day and for lunch I was looking for a place. I searched near me restaurant which is walking distance away from Library and found that Motek Cafe is like 6-7 mins from library plus it had good reviews. So i walked to the cafe and in the cafe on the register I was greeted by my server. They have an amazing menu with different mediterranean options to choose from. From menu I decided to order Crispy Cauliflower and Chicken Shawarma Bowl for to-go. The service was good and soon I got my order. I ate my food in the library. First I had crispy cauliflower which was delicious and it was crunchy too. Loved its taste along with the sauce they offered it. And then I had chicken shawarma bowl which had protein plus salad, rice, beans and onions. The taste was delightful with correct amount of spices. Amazing cafe to try near Miami downtown with delicious food.
First off, the food was incredible and unique. The hummus dish was so creamy and came with a sort of spicy chutney. The menu is vegan friendly and well-marked, but they were out of the main dish that I wanted to order, which wasn't a big deal, but resulted in a misunderstanding in the ordering and I ended up with something I didn't want (after trying to order an impossible burger, it was somehow interpreted that I wanted lamb). Not a big deal, but they refused to take it back. I did end up with an incredible falafel dish eventually. It is also notable that they do not serve any alcohol, but it did seem like you could bring in your own wine or champagne, if you would like that with your meal. The service was excellent, but the location is pretty small, so it felt like the staff were standing over our table the whole time. The restaurant itself is in kind of a bizarre location - inside of a mall that is closed in the evening, but has lots of jewelry stores, so there are armed security guards walking around the area. Overall, I would highly recommend this place.
You can’t find this place just by walking by, but when you do find it, the reward is incredible! The Downtown Miami location for Motek Cafe can be found in the Seybold Jewelry Building, between a plethora of—-you guessed it—-jewelry stores. Their floral vine awning and modern interior, completely opened to the walkway, and their walkway patio seating, tells you that their spot is not like their neighbors. If you sit facing the outside of the cafe, you can gaze at the jewelers cases while you feast on fresh, nourishing Mediterranean food! If you’re like me and can’t decide on one item to get, they have samplers and platters that give you multiple dishes in one. You can also build your own sampler by getting mezzes (small plates) separately. They’re perfect for sharing with someone or yourself. I shared the Motek Sampler Plate: Hummus, Babaganoush, Egglant Salad, Israeli Salad with pita bread. The hummus was tremendously creamy, the babaganoush was sweet and savory, the Israeli salad was fresh and full of herbs but could have used a little more dressing or seasoning, and the eggplant salad was a perfect tender compilation of smoky roasting and sauciness. We also shared the Spicy Schnitzel Sandwich after seeing the photos of the Crispy Schnitzel Sandwich, and it was spot on minus the spicy part. The expertly crispy chicken schnitzel with the crispy eggplant accented with a long hot green pepper was an uncommon and incredible combination. They provide plenty of tahini inside the sandwich and on the side to complete the tastes with some nutty smoothness. The sandwich, created with an imposing challah, is undoubtedly the size of 2 normal sandwiches in one. You should share it or take half of it home with you and congratulate yourself on doing so. Their idea of spicy is—-not spicy. Despite the use of the long green hot pepper, we detected zero spicy flavor in the sandwich. I would suggest they rename it to “Another Crispy Chicken Schnitzel”. But I would still get this one for the crispy eggplant. Service was attentive despite there only being 2 servers around for the while cafe. Is it on the more expensive end of casual Mediterranean cuisine? Probably. But did I spend about $24 including tax and tip for a wonderful early dinner? I sure did and left completely stuffed. Motek has become one of the best places I’ve been to for Mediterranean food in Miami, mainly because the options in Miami are quite slim. Nonetheless, I’m eager to go back and conquer the rest of their menu. Let’s go pita dipping!
Cute hidden spot in a jewellery mall. Lots of options including many vegetarian choices. We really liked the babaganoush and Israeli salad. The eggplant salad was great. Falafel was good but nothing special and the same with the hummus and halloumi. Great service and very friendly staff so we would go again.
The place was pretty good. Nice people and service. I loved the dessert. The reason why it’s not 5 stars is a personal matter, it was my first time trying Mediterranean food and I turned out not to be such a big fan. Nevertheless, everything was good. Nice experience if you want to try it and the humus was amazing.
Was asked by one of the waiters to make a review, but would have made one anyways because the food was real good. We ordered the following: Labneh Za'atar - a very refreshing dip with nice warm and soft pita bread Tahini Chicken Wrap - good serving of well seasoned chicken, wrap was toasted well which gave the wrap some crunch, the homemade Tahini sauce was amazing Double Short Burger - didn't personally eat this, but my partner did and said that it was okay and that the fries were real good Rimonana (drink) - very good with a hint of mint. Could have been a little less sweet Baklava - the Baklava was FIRE. Reminded us of Karakoy Gulluoglu in Turkey Don't understand the reviews of some other patrons about how slow the food was and how inattentive the service was. The food was served so fast that we thought we were in McDonald's for a second. The waiters were also attentive and asked how we were doing and if we needed anything. Will definitely be back!
Food overall was pretty good. The lamb platter was the best. The lamb was cut into thin slices and was well-seasoned. The arayes burger was meh, nothing special. Dessert was probably the most disappointed part of our dinner. Baklava was soggy and very sweet. Panacotta was not the normal panna cotta; this one was more liquidy and also less sweet. You kinda grow on it the more you eat but meh. Price was reasonable. Very good service.
4.1⭐️ Quite impressive food! One of the best Mediterranean places in Miami for sure. We loved everything we tried! Such a refreshment for downtown Miami. They welcome you with complimentary aperitif, which is extinct in Miami restaurants. Labneh is tha bomb; we wiped everything off the plate! One of my favorite dishes is Lahmajun Chips. Incredibly delicious and reminds me of a similar dish in Croatia. For the main dish, we had lamb shawarma, which was juicy, crispy, and mouthwatering. The pita is homemade and perfect. Finishing up with baklava, which I also recommend. The only reason it is not a 5⭐️ for me is the portion size and the price. Those 2 things almost seem like fine dining, but you can’t do that in a sketch location, which is in an abandoned mall (which adds to the character for a bistro), and with a fast-food setup (but interiors are lovely). To their defense, you can tell that the ingredients are quality and you got this inflation going on, but still, the prices are high, in my opinion. Otherwise, I would be there at least once a week. The server is fantastic, friendly, and helpful. I am definitely coming back, but not as often, until the price drops, at least a bit.
A great place for brunch with vibrant flavors and beautiful presentation. I ordered shakshuka and coffee, everything was fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was lively and pleasant.
Went to this specific location bc it had impossible Arayes on the menu. Found out they stopped serving it for awhile so was really disappointed. Was not a fan of their Moroccan salmon wrap. Everything was avg, but the fam absolutely loved the chicken shwarma. Eggplant hummus was good too. Liked Cafe Motek, but would stick to Israeli food.

I really wanted to like this place, I’m a review freak and this place promised with so many great reviews. We ordered through DoorDash, my honest review, the lamb shawarma bowl was delicious, a reasonable portion. The hummus was also really good, really creamy. Now, the chicken shawarma was a complete fail! It barely had chicken, so so poor, really disappointing. The side falafel was not my favorite, maybe because it was delivery it was cold, nothing really bad about it but we didn’t like it. Also, pretty much on the expensive side.
Frankly just a high-end Mediterranean restaurant. Nothing Israeli about it except owners I guess. Staff all Spanish speakers some no English. Nada. Dishes served alacart even Peta bread that is actually their own flat bread. Overall, prices high for what you get. Service was very good but some wait staff couldn't explain dishes. Parking is terrible. Drinks over priced.
Im a visitor of Miami, and have frequented this restaurant twice. The first time my friend got sick from the Ceviche. The second, it has taken forever for me to get my food. Hanger Steak was oddly sweet also not worth $40.

Awful. Ordered pick up through Uber Eats. Recieved 2 sandwiches with mostly cabbage. This is a scam.
Have eaten here tons of times, today hubby had some lunch here and got the burger which he says he loves. The size of the burger is big and very filling. The place is a little pricey but the food is great quality. Would recommend if you’re not on a budget for lunch. Update: my husband said that you can no longer get your order at the register, they now take your order at the table to force customers to an 18% gratuity which they didn’t have before. Already with the super expensive food and forced 18% gratuity when you can easily order your food at the register made me change my review to 2 stars. I really hate when places do this, instead of just paying their employees better.
Go to any other location. Motek usually has amazing food. This location is beyond horrible. The food was obviously made days ago. Rice was dry and barely edible. I wonder if they ship the unused food from other locations to be served here. The staff has no sense of urgency, on their phones and could not be bothered to do their job. 0/10 Would not return again.
****EDIT: Apparently my 4 star review is not good enough for the managers/ owners. Your response is exactly the problem that we had with the Manager who was rude and condescending and obviously I should change this to a 1 star review. If they dont know how to manage a shift change in a 10 table restaurant then maybe they shouldnt. REGARDS ----- Went on Sunday for lunch. We had a waiter which told us he was new, and we were understanding of that. He was great. The food was in my opinion, very good. We ordered the sampler app. Which came with only 2 pitas, and then they charged us $2 a pita... a bit expensive if you ask me! We ordered the falafel bowl, excellent. Schnitzel plate, very good, Regular shakshuka, very good, and the arais pita, which I loved the meat mixture and french fries were great! Where we started to have issues is right when we were ordering deserts... we ordered a malaby, and their challah bread pudding. The waiter told us that it would be 15 mins for the bread pudding as its made fresh. I thought that was fine and was happy to wait! We got the malaby right away. It was very good. Suddenly, the waiter disappeared, one of the managers did come up to check on us but never once brought up our MIA waiter. We waited about 30 minutes at an empty table for the bread pudding and saw one coming out, and it was taken to a table which still had plates. The guests seemed confused, as were we since we had been waiting 30 minutes by that time. Anyways, bread pudding came, it was good. We asked for the check, more waiting as the manager forgot to bring it to us. Then the manager became confrontational with my brother when he went to remove the auto 18% gratuity. She said that she was unable to, and then was argumentative. I gave it 4 stars because the GM was apologetic, and our first waiter was very kind, and good. The floor manager dropped the ball pretty badly. Its pretty pricey so I expect a higher level of service. Maybe Aventura location will be better.
The waitress didn’t have a clue about the dishes and they didn’t have taramasalata and they had the audacity to charge me a no show fee of $60 whilst we showed up and ate for $150. These things really bug the hell out of me. You give people business and they charge you a no show fee. Next to that they charge you a 20% service fee also over the drinks (double tipping) and when they show you the brill they have the audacity to ask for an additional fee!! Get your act together and transfer me back the no show fee asap. The restaurant wasn’t full even. The arrogance is mindblowing to me. Not a good start.
I’ve been a loyal customer at Motek in Miami for a long time, and my experiences there have always been excellent—great food, great service, and high standards overall. Unfortunately, my visit to the Downtown location today was the complete opposite. As it was my first time at this specific location, I mistakenly placed my order at a totem that is apparently only for pickup. This was an honest mistake and not clearly communicated. When I received my food, I politely explained that I didn’t realize this and kindly asked if my food could be served on a plate. Instead of being understanding, the staff member was extremely rude and confrontational. He began arguing with me in front of other customers, which was very embarrassing and completely unnecessary. I was treated poorly despite being respectful and apologetic. As a customer, this was shocking and unacceptable. The situation drained my energy, and I ultimately asked for my order to be canceled and left without eating. I’ve never experienced anything like this at Motek before, which makes this even more disappointing. Motek is usually known for high standards, amazing food, and excellent customer service—but sadly, this location does not reflect that at all. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the customer service issues at this branch.
