At Shinju Japanese Buffet, we're passionate about serving authentic Miami flavors with a side of warm hospitality. Our restaurant is nestled at 8800 SW 72nd St, where every guest can enjoy an unforgettable dining experience. We take pride in our extensive sushi bar, featuring a variety of fresh options, including vegetarian choices, all made to order by our skilled chefs. Shinju Japanese Buffet in Miami is praised for its fresh and varied sushi, including vegetarian options. Customers highlight the cleanliness, attentive service, and the grilled dishes made to order. The price is considered reasonable, especially for lunch.
Tip: The buffet is served by an employee due to COVID restrictions, so be ready to give instructions. Lunch is around $15 per person.
Food, fantastically delicious! Very fresh! Side items are always kept full. Vegetables are so fresh and just the right crunch. Service is on top of their game and you can also order specialty sushi rolls. Our cups never went below half way empty and always were treated with a friendly smile. It’s not a big buffet but, it’s just the right items that most people enjoy. Looks like ownership did their homework on how to make their customers feel in a friendly atmosphere, fantastic flavor and just the right seasoning on each individual item 👏👏👏BRAVO We asked for the hot tea, looks like the water used was filtered and not just dirty tap water The price you pay, is also right on point Win win for everyone
I went here for my birthday, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place! The waiters are very attentive and always make sure your drink is refilled. The food is delicious, especially the meat, which is cooked fresh to order. The sushi is also really good. Highly recommended!
I was so excited to finally check out this place, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! My family and I decided to go for lunch, and we got there just in time—literally a few minutes after they opened. By the time we left, there was a crowd eagerly waiting to be seated! It's no wonder this spot is so busy; the food is absolutely incredible! I tried almost everything they had, and everything was really delicious. I’m telling about it to all my friends to come back!
Great food for the price, so many options of food, good sushi, nice seafood, and quickly a service. Certainly I'll comeback.
It had been years since I've visited this restaurant and I was extremely impressed. This does not feel like a buffet. The atmosphere is lovely. The restaurant is extremely clean and the food is fresh. If you like sushi this is a must!
One of my fav if not my fav Japanese Buffet places over 15 years visiting and will always great food and place for the family.
Food and service was good. We went for birthday and it worked out perfectly. My wife has a bad seafood allergy and they worked with us and she got her food separately. That made her visit amazing. We loved it and you will too.
My sister told me this place was really good so I told her let’s go try it. The food was really good and I tried most of them, for the price I paid. The customer service is great, and the waiters are super nice. Servers were quick to keep the table clean and drinks refilled. If you are in the area you must to try it!
One of the best in this area, we were 2, and the place is really friendly and nice. The food was really good and I tried most of them, for the price i paid it was amazing!!! The service was on top and very hardworking! Is a place, if you are in the area you must to try it!!!
Always fresh and delicious 😋 just be patient this place is always packed.
Awesome buffet lunch and dinner with family and friends fixed prices wallet friendly. 😉
I love this place! Fresh yummy food
Always fresh and plenty variety of sushi’s, veggies, vegetables, meats very good.
Always a great time at Shinju! Love the variety of seafood, sushi, hibachi, regular dishes and desserts. It is a buffet, so don't expect the most amazing food you've ever had. But for the price, this place has everyone else beat. For dinner, they change the options a little like crab legs, the most amazing Korean BBQ ribs, and sweet buns (kind of like Japanese milk buns). It's also obviously a bit more expensive than the lunch. The owners are super nice, and their service is always on point. If I lived closer, I would be in trouble from how often I would eat there. It gets very full sometimes, and they close after lunch to prepare for dinner, so call in ahead of time to make sure there's space. Definitely would recommend to try it out for yourself at least once.
Very courteous and great service. Everything looked cleaned and fresh. The only thing that I saw was the hibachi bar had a huge line. I couldn't get to it. Maybe they should have extra personnel.
This was my first time at this restaurant and it was a wonderful experience. I came mainly for the unlimited sushi and sashimi and it was delicious. Don't fall for the few negative reviews written by people who will find anything to complain about. The only thing is that they only serve sashimi for dinner only. Not lunch. This place is much more laid back and elegant than your typical buffet. They also play nice relaxing music and the waitresses are very polite and attentive. Be sure to give the sushi and hibachi guys a tip for the excellent work.
I've been dining here with my family for over 20 years (the originals owner already recognized us 🥰). The food is always very good and fresh. It won't disappoint.
I simply have almost too many good things to say about this place! Let me start with this, if you’re thinking of trying this place DO IT! Ive never been big on buffets solely due to bad experiences in the past with uncleanliness and what not but WOW I took a chance on this place due to recommendation and it surpassed what I expected by a lot! The food is absolutely delicious the options are vast in my opinion especially for the price they charge? Insanely good deal and not to mention all of the staff is incredibly kind and patient. Expect to be taken care of swiftly but never rushed. And the cleanliness and freshness of everything is top tier 10/10! Such a hidden gem of Miami I can’t wait to go back
This is your all you can eat Chinese with great fresh fish sushi. Solid food. There was a 30 min a wait. Just a solid place. Come and expect what you’re getting. It’s all you can eat. Not high end miami. Top notch in my opinion. Options are a a little limited it’s a small place. Sushi is great.
My favorite place everyone is super nice specially the owner, the food is super fresh and absolutely delicious, super clean and beautiful, never disappointed
Excellent place and food is delicious.. But.. whatever you do.. DO NOT EAT THE GRAPES (they are not real hahaha)
Very beautiful and classy place to dine. My nephew wants to visit Japan so for his birthday I gave him a small taste of it. He really enjoyed himself this weekend. Everything was delicious everything. I fell in love with the tofu sushi, it was so delicate. I will be back to visit very soon. Thank you to everyone that works there. My experience was a joy.
One of the greatest Japanese buffet in Miami! My girlfriend showed me this place and I was a little sketchy at first looking at google because most of the times these types of places tend to disappoint, but Shinju changed that for me. When we arrived for lunch, it was beyond packed and there was a 15 minute wait, but it went fast and became worth it. I didn’t get to try the hibachi station which I will do next time and will update this review. The boiled chicken with the broccoli and the spring rolls might be the best foods on the buffet! I will always be back to this place!
I stopped by on my way to work, after many times of telling myself I wanted to try this place My only regret was that I hadn't left my house earlier So I would have had more time to enjoy it My first impression was of Alexis the hostess Alexis is a true Jem Her politeness and grace lets you know you are in a place of quality The atmosphere is very classy but not over done And the all you can eat sushi and Japanese buffet and hibachi is second to none, with a great verify of many different seafood choices as well I highly recommend this restaurant, and can't wait to return
Update as of 10/18/25 Shinju Japanese Buffet: Still a Top Choice for Freshness and Value!! I'm happy to report that after several visits this year, Shinju Japanese Buffet deserves a major update to my 2017 review. The restaurant is not only maintaining its high standards but has also introduced some truly excellent new menu items. The place remains clean and the service is consistently good, ensuring a pleasant dining experience every time. New Favorites The variety of fresh seafood has always been a draw, but my recent visits have been particularly rewarding due to three new additions that are a must-try: Spicy Sashimi Salad: This is a standout—the fish is fresh and tasty, perfectly complemented by the spicy dressing. Calamari Salad: Another hit, offering a light yet flavorful seafood option. Squid Salad: Just as the others, this is fresh and tasty, proving that Shinju is committed to expanding its quality offerings. Value and Atmosphere For those looking for a great deal, the weekend lunch remains incredibly reasonable as well as the diner . Overall, Shinju is a fantastic option for a Japanese buffet, offering great food, great service, and great value. If you haven't been in a while, it's time to go back! The food is good...service is good as well.fresh seafood.I love the soup and sashimi . My wife loves coffee cake
This place is an absolute dream come true. This is a high quality all you can eat buffet. It’s not often you can enjoy every single dish at a buffet. I recommend going there at the beginning of the day when all the food is freshly set out! I arrived at 11:30am sharp for the opening of the doors and it was a smorgasbord! The chefs will even make you a roll if you request one! The soups were divine! The sushi rolls and nigiri were so fresh! They have a nice desert bar also if you have room left! Complete with crisp fruit slices, chocolate pudding and ice cream! Assortment of pastries and the like. They have a hibachi grill in back for hot food if you don’t prefer raw foods! Additionally they have stir frys on the back line of all sorts. Truly something for everyone!
Better than ever while maintaining social distancing/COVID protocols. Barrier between buffet and customers. You choose and employee serves portion. Food was very fresh and delicious! All you can eat for $13.99 weekday lunch. Sushi chefs will gladly make you a custom roll also (I usually tip them a couple of dollars). Sushi, Chinese buffet and made to order stir fry with chicken, beef, shrimp and vegetables and more. I will be back for sure!
Best buffet I have ever gone to in my life, hands down! I was greeted super well by the waitresses and the cooks, everyone is so friendly and kind! It’s very popular among groups of people and family. Great place to hang out or enjoy an amazing evening! I really love the quality of the food! Very light, clean, and delicious! I especially love the sushi!! I really enjoy how everyone communes together, it’s really quite nice. I’m from Colorado and came to Miami to spend New Year’s Eve, and boy I’m glad I ate here, I was even sick to my stomach and didn’t wanna eat today because who knows why, and I ate here and it went away! I’m satisfied, exceeded my expectations! Decor and building is very beautiful, has an amazing atmosphere and aesthetic!! Can’t wait to come here again! ❤️
Arrived on a Saturday afternoon with 3 adults and 4 kids. Seated right away. Staff were very attentive and polite. Warned me about the 15% included tip for party of 6 or more, so I did not have to tip again. But I still gave her more for being honest. Food selection was a little different from the pictures, but I guess the dinner selection is different from the Lunch one. I did not see sashimi or crab legs. The food was delicious, and we tried almost everything. The kids love different flavors of ice cream. A salmon hand roll and Habachi were a good surprise. Recommend this place for hungry travelers.
Good food and atmosphere, the staffs are always so friendly and welcoming here. This place is always so packed on the weekends. We love this place and would come again.
After going to several Asian style buffets, Shinju is still the best. The freshness of their selections is phenomenal. Honestly though, I'd pay just for the hibachi. The cook makes it exactly how you want, very good options and again, the freshness is great. Plenty of variety with hot dishes, desserts are typical of buffets but still good. Service is good and as expected for the type of restaurant. Basically, if I'm in the area, I'm stopping by for lunch here 10 out of 10 times.
Pretty quiet and small place to dine in alone, or with a group. Their buffet is well varied and interestingly delicious as well as their desserts. Service is attentive and gracious, do recommend if you're looking for a good place to try Japanese food for the first time or to get your food craving fix. Oh, and ample parking as this is located on a shopping strip mall.
I come here any time I can. This place is genuinely one of the best buffets I’ve eaten at and the staff are even better. The service they provide is top notch, and they truly care about you. I highly recommend you visit this whenever you can, and get a taste of how good it is.
I've lived nearby for 6 years and I think it's the most complete buffet in the area. The staff is very attentive and the variety is abundant, especially on weekends. There are many options and crab legs; otherwise, this would be quite expensive, however, its price is reasonable.
Ive been coming here for decades and this place is the best all around. Most amazing staff, great food and extremely clean! One of the staples of sunset. I highly recommend!
Best part is definitely the sushi bar! Next is the hibachi and then the rest Very clean and comfortable Family friendly We come here regularly :)
Good value Asian-style buffet. Liked the sushi rolls, steak, and Asian ice cream flavors. The service was quite fast without being intrusive and the atmosphere kind of for families. Would come back.
Shinju is a good place to experience an all-you-can-eat Japanese buffet. It's super affordable, especially during the weekdays, on the other hand, you do not have an immense variety at your disposal. There are more than a dozen hot and another dozen or so cold options, including sushi and sashimi. You will find the most common Japanese-style plates but they are always the same every day. The team is always helpful and kind.
This buffet is good, the hibachi grill was the best along with sushi..great place for the price..
Alright, this is a review for week day and weekend dinning. Prices are different for different days and times. First thing, if you are rushed DO NOT COME HERE. The lines goes inside, outside and sometimes down the sidewalk. Bribing staff does nothing to move things along. People sitting in lobby have nothing to do but eyeball new people who walk in and nothing to hear but the sound of people talking and eating across the room. They'll spot a line jumper and act about the same as a transit cop in NYC. The wait time quoted was 15 minutes. This is a suggested wait time, it's more like 25-30. You get to see people waddle out and have trouble breathing. So relax, your number will be called. Pay attention, you could miss it and end up waiting some more. The ambiance in no different than any other Chinese place, only this one is a buffet, so you get shown to your table, but you don't sit. You grab a plate and have at it. Sushi is good, not great. The fried rolls are cool or cold, not hot like in a traditional restaurant. Keep this in mind. Still, the variety is pretty good. Lots of raw and cooked options with the chefs right there bring out trays and so forth. The hibachi section is good, and the cook is fast and diligent. Portions are good. Tipping is advised, but not mandatory. The line can grow and the going is slow. Bring patience. The hot section is so/so. The broccoli beef in not edible (meat is rubber. Looks like steak, chews like rubber) the jumbo shrimp are boiled with shells and not de-vained. The fried potatoes are passable. The pork dumplings are decent. The fried rice, is also passable. The dessert section is at own risk. The massive chocolate pudding always gives me hives just looking at it. I can't bring myself to serve myself. Some honey dew melon, some cheese cake in cups, etc. most is portioned out. I can't eat their ice cream, it just looks bad most times, like when you go to that one house that has way too much food jammed in freezer and stuff is half frozen. Anyway, I don't bother with ice cream or dessert. I go for sushi and some vegetables. Steamed string beans, the broccoli from the broccoli beef (not the beef) and sometimes red peppers from the pepper steak (the meat is rubber and bad. Bad quality. It's all fat and veins. Completely inedible. The sushi I recommend. Don't order soda, it will fill you up and you will eat less. 2 people on a Saturday night, about $60 bucks without tip. Tip at least $10 bucks if your bill comes to this. People work there and are quite attentive. Crowds are massive. People come to pig out, the focus is on quantity for most, for me, it's quality. I go for the expensive sushi (salmon, tuna, nigiri and on occasion, the vegetables) I can't say I eat till I explode, but I do eat a fair amount. Drink little water, and enjoy your food. No one rushes you out, everyone eats at their own pace. Week day dinner is slightly less, but on average expect paying between $16-25 a person, depending on day and time. Expect crowds and noise. Small children will be lost here. This is a restaurant, and it doesn't have a child atmosphere, my opinion. Clothing: some dress up, some dress down, it depends. No one is there looking at a person's clothing, although people do check people out. I guess it's human nature. Staff: friendly and attentive. You get up for another portion and return to a clean and clear table. Be courteous to them, they put up with a lot. Ambiance: food and drink galore. That's about it. It isn't a place for warm conversation. Forget that nonsense. This is strictly food and drink, with an emphasis on food. Parking: basically you have the entire lot, other businesses are there but you have room and rows of parking to consider. Parking isn't an issue. Cash or credit, no prob. Food is plentiful and kept coming. The dishes are washed, sanitized and restocked as needed. The operation runs smooth. The bathroom is clean and decent, better than most others. Wash your hands, be courteous, don't take all the food from a tray. Manners cost nothing and mean everything.
Shinju Japanese Buffet excels with its splendid sushi selection, a personal favorite of mine. Alongside, the sizzling hibachi grill and a vast assortment of dishes elevate the dining experience. They also serve sake and beers, complementing the meal perfectly. With commendable service and a pleasant atmosphere, it’s a delightful spot. Don’t miss their lunch specials, but note they close from 3pm to 5pm—check online for exact times. A must-visit for foodies!
My family and I went on a Saturday night. Saturday nights are $23.99 per person. We got seated within 5 minutes even though it was packed. There is plenty to choose from. There is a Sushi station which has all the sushi rolls you can think of. There is also sashimi which is pretty fresh. Saturdays they have crab claws thats why I only go on the weekends. It also has oyster, shrimps and mussels. To the left of the restaurant is a hot food station with variety of soups which includes Miso, Hot & Sour and Egg drip soup. What I love most is the Hibachi station. They offer steak, chicken and shrimp and you can get veggies with your meat. Overall I think this is one of the best buffets down South.
Food is ok, tastes like it sat in the fridge for a few days. The selection is good! Service, however, is outstanding, fast, and friendly. I'd still go back to eat here again.
All you can eat buffet for $26 now a days is a good deal. Have different sushi rolls, sashimi, different desserts to choose from and plenty of prepared dinner items. Additionally, this please also has a hibachi section included in the price. Service for as busy as it was great. Draw back is lack of vegetables and/ or salad options and to white rice to pair with the saucy dishes provided. Long wait times during peak dinner hours
The Shinju Japanese Buffet has a good varierity of sushi and Asian cuisine. The sushi rolls and sashimi are basic (nothing elaborated) but the flavors are good and they are always fresh. It’s a good option but a little pricy in my opinion, compared to other local buffets. They charge kids of 10 and 11 years old as adults (so basically everybody is an adult and pays $24.99 + beverages). If you do the math you will be spending way more than $100 for a party of 4 (having kids and not including alcoholic beverages) and that is what it cost a regular very nice sushi restaurant in Miami
Shinju Japanese buffet is not a big Japanese buffet restaurant. I can't say that there are a lot of choice of foods, but the most basic and popular dishes you will be able to find. Sushi in a large assortment in there, I didn’t try everything, but what I had a chance to taste was not bad. It was delicious. There were not a huge amount of seafood, only shrimp and mussels, maybe I didn’t notice something. Desserts were very tasty, there were also 5-6 types of ice cream. There were 3 types of soups. About service. Service was very good. The waiters regularly came and cleaned the dirty dishes. The music was not loud, but pleasant. The room itself was also very tidy. In general, I considered this buffet as an average, typically Asian institution. If you pass by in full, you can stop by and eat. By the way, their prices vary. At lunch until 3:30 the price is lower than in the evening. For 4 person (2 kids) I 90$ paid . Bon appetit 😉 Khumoyun Akhmadjonov
Great place. Lots of sushi variety. It's fresh and tasty. There aren't many options for hot food. Mushrooms are delicious. Service is nice. I normally go to a different buffet, I decided to try this one. It was a bit more expensive, as I love sushi for me it was great. Desserts are nice too. They have at least six ice cream flavours, cakes and more. There is a salad bar as well. All in all a good experience.
Japanese buffet in South Miami. Standard Japanese buffet that has a lot of Chinese dishes that makes me think the people who operate the place is Chinese and not Japanese. The quality of the food is very decent and the staff and server that we had was quite nice. For dinner, I was surprised they had Sashimi, and not only sushi and rolls, for us carbo calorie counters, Sashimi is a very good option. All in all, slightly better than your average Chinese Buffet.
I love coming to Shinju! I tend to come during lunch hours and they are always busy but the turn around is quick so you rarely wait more than 5 minutes for a table. I love that you are in and out. The staff is super sweet and I can honestly say, I’ve never had a bad experience here. The sushi is good and prepared right in front of you. Same goes for the hibatchi. The other food is always hot under lamps. The hot foot is okay but the crab rangoons, dumplings and chicken nuggets are insanely good. The booths are comfy. On the weekends, when there is a lot more people, there may tend to be a wait and the prices are a little bit more expensive. If you want a calmer experience, I recommend going for lunch and it’s much cheaper. ($16 per person). I would just say that some of the sushi is different during lunch and dinner from what I’ve noticed but both are amazing! I love Shinju and will keep coming.
My husband & I always went for dinner buffet at Boca Raton location. We decide to try out Miami location since we moved to South Miami. The location is in very good area. The food option is not as much as Boca Raton. Customer service & server was on point. The restaurant was very clean & food was fresh.
I've been a patron of this restaurant for over a decade, the first location I went to was further north. Great prices for the food they cycle through the good stuff, like 🍤 tempura shrimp only for dinner, possibly on the weekends, only. I usually go here for lunch. My only complaint is how long I have to wait in the hibachi line even when there's only two people ahead of me. I was gone so long, my husband had time to get another plate. I CANT GIVE 5 STARS: I always ask for "rare" and the cook always over cooks the meat, it never fails..
Very good assortment of Sushi, also have soups, shrimp, crab, meats, also have to eat grilled according to choose, parking a little small, the atmosphere very nice and clean and the staff attentive, the bathrooms were very clean.
The food is okay. Your typical Chinese buffet with Sushi options. The draw is the crab legs during Dinner. DO NOT expect this to be a Japanese Buffet. The food is actually mostly Chinese. The Sushi is maybe fresh but not that good tasting. They are kinda warm. There is no Sashimi. The Chinese food is fine. Tastes average. Lunch is 11 bucks more or less, Dinner is 22
For the price it is below average. Not sure why there are so many good reviews. I travel a lot and visit many sushi buffets in my travels. Shinju definitely is average in quality yet above market in price. I haven’t been to a lot of sushi buffets in Miami so maybe S Florida is just a wasteland for good sushi buffets. NOT RECOMMENDED.
Went this past Sunday May 15,2022 for late lunch a party of 5 friends from out of the country. Haven’t being back to this place since the Pandemic hit . The food was good , but nothing like before. Service was pretty good and staff attentive and courteous. They do honor discount for seniors during dinner time, not during lunch hours. Food variety wasn’t like before, but I don’t know if it was because I used to come during dinner and never during lunch. I will try to come back at dinner time to compare. Linda the owner retired, don’t know who is talking over
I didn't get to eat here, I was expecting more cooked seafood. I like sushi selection, it had multiple options. There were no cooked shrimp, king crab legs or oysters. It looked clean, staff was friendly, just it was not for us. Also there's an option for hibachi which looks like it's the popular spot, the cook was busy. Friendly staff.
We had a good experience, customer service is good, waitress was very attentive, restaurant is clean. The food is good, fresh, but the rolls not as tasty as I expected to be, they were fresh, but not what I was expecting more flavor on it and most of them about the same type. We went during lunch hr, maybe that makes a difference. But is a restaurant buffet that I won’t go back. I felt it was just like another Chinese buffet. Maybe dinner time has more variety
It was a good experience overall. The food in general was solid, I’d give it a 4/5. The sushi was decent at about a 3/5, nothing mind blowing but still enjoyable. Desserts were the weakest part for me, probably a 2/5. The service was awesome, definitely a 4.5/5. Everyone was super friendly and quick to clear plates. For just over $30, it’s not a bad deal for a buffet with this much variety, but I probably won’t be back. I’d rather try a new restaurant before going back to this one.
Just to be very clear: I only come here when I'm craving massive amounts of sushi and don't want to strain myself to choose one or two rolls in a better quality restaurant. With that said, Shinju's lunch buffet for $11.95 is a pretty wonderful deal in that they do have a large selection of sushi (including cooked rolls and traditional ones like nigiri). I try to stick to the sushi and their seafood salads, only occasionally going to their stir fry station which is decent. I all together avoid the hot foods section but do always end my meal with some green tea/red bean ice cream! I've never been to their dinner which I think is around $20 and includes other items like crab legs in the raw bar. Overall, worth it for a lunch when you're in the mood for a buffet! I've come to this place since the early 2010s or late 2000s and it was an OK place to have lunch buffet because the price and the selections were adequate. But I visited today and the price is double what it was just a few years ago, and the selections are exactly the same. Not a high quality food type of place. Just OK, some items I skipped all together. But after having the buffet for lunch, with only water, with tax and tip, it was $22, when this was a $12 max type of place for lunch. I don't frequent buffets anymore but this was an exception because I was 1 min away and needed to eat fast.
Terrible, do yourself a favor and go to POC buffet instead. Nothing was good, everything was very salty. The sushi choices had maybe 10% fish or protein, primarily rice and fillers. Not much variety during lunch time. Desserts are lacking. Would not go back.
Sorry but this restaurant is an excuse for a buffet. Food in its entirety is mediocre. Hardly had a decent selection. Experience could have been better and over priced for this type of Asian buffet. Please do yourself a favor and pass this one you’ve been warned. Atmosphere is too small. Service could have been better.
Prices way beyond it's worth unless you love sushi. The sushi bar is the majority of the offerings. The hibachi was also very limited. The food was mediocre at best. 1 small buffet bar. 1 small combined salad, dessert bar and fruit bar. Surprisingly had 8 flavors of ice cream. Then they added 15 percent service fee for 4 adults and a 4 yr old. That is just robbery. You don't have a server. They give you drinks and take away dirty plates. I always tip but being forced to pay 15 percent is robbery, tips are not mandatory they are an act of appreciation when you have good service and the amount is based on that service. Forced tips (Gratuities) are illegal, so they call it a service fee. When you eat in a restaurant you must be served. What a rip off. If 27.00 a person and 17.00 for a 4yr old that ate maybe 2.00 of rice and jello and if the prices plus tax is not enough raise your prices don't hide in service fee. I will never go here again.
It is Good Friday and my partner and I decided to skip meat. Our server named Becky was awful to us. She snatched the tip out of my fiancées hand, she literally watched as he signed the receipt and she didn’t even let the pen leave the paper. We do not know why she was so rude to us. Wouldn’t smile or acknowledge our gratitude for her service. We would thank her for taking our plates and she’d ignore us. I come from the service industry and I have nothing but the utmost respect for all people who serve me. We felt so insulted. Never again. Terrible experience.
Shinju Japanese Buffet is the worst buffet restaurant we have experienced in Miami. I was shocked and disappointed by their customer service. The waiter yelled at us and bullied us behind our backs, loudly complaining about the tip we left and demanding more. Additionally, the other waiters and receptionist(a young lady) spoke in their language while staring at us, and some even rolled their eyes at us as we were leaving. Their behavior was incredibly rude. It feels as if we are seriously bullied and unwelcome unless we leave a tip as high as they demand. My children were frightened by the waiters' outrageous behavior.
Be careful when you go here. They weren’t happy with the tip that i left so they stole $9 extra from my card when i had also already left a cash tip. I also had a previous experience where the waitress took cash from my hands when i was counting money to leave the tip. Not happy about this and won’t be going back which sucks because I’ve been a customer for a few years.
The food does not taste good. Also, it is overpriced for the quality of the food.
This place is a disappointment, went here on a date with my girlfriend , the food was not good, the service was very crappy, and the cherry on the top was the sushi chef ,staring at my girlfriend inappropriately, ultimately making her feel uncomfortable. I made it clear I was watching him and he kept staring. The waitresses were also giggling and laughing in a different language while we tried to enjoy our meal in peace. Definitely not worth $23.95 per person. Never going here again. Worst restaurant in Miami, Period. 👎👎👎👎
