This place is so good I had to return twice in one week to repeat some items and try more things on the menu. This place is a whole entire vibe! Check the instagram page for the special events for the week. First time I went was on a Wednesday night and it was ladies night, large group to celebrate and we also got a hookah. Let’s talk about the aesthetics first, place is gorgeous. Walking in the first thing you notice is the very elegant decor, the bar is on the right and restaurant has an open feel with foliage on the ceiling. The place is classy and very much what you would expect to dine at a trendy spot in Miami. The service was impeccable, it had a fine dine feel but yet relaxed; hard to explain because you expect fine dine service to be stiff. The staff is attentive without being hovering and our waitress guided us through to menu effortlessly highlighting the delicious dishes on the menu. The food is incredible just writing this review my brain wants the spicy tuna crunch appetizer, I think about this particular dish often. The tuna was finely chopped with a just the right amount of heat on a bed of a crispy rice cake bc with an umami sauce that is just to die for. The chicken lettuce cups was so delicious we had to order a second one, a little messy to eat but that is typical to anything that you eat on a bed of lettuce. The chicken was very flavorful and juicy, the slaw was crunchy and the sauce … well let’s just say the chef knows his stuff. We had the edamame with the sea salt and this edamame is sautéed and the salt comes flaming, the orange sesame salmon was perfectly executed with cauliflower and a carrot ginger purée, we had the Nara Miami Roll with fried plantains, shrimp tempura mango and guava was an explosion of Miami flavors in one bite and we had a dessert sampler just because. Cocktails the menu was definitely crafted by a master mixologist because the flavors compliments the food and the presentation was gram worthy. The smoked old fashioned was a show in itself. I am mad at myself for not remembering the gin cocktail ingredients because that is definitely a cocktail I would like to have again and again. It was well balanced with the perfect amount of sweet and tart bringing out the aromatics of the gin. The second visit we had to try a few more items and repeat the tuna and the edamame. The roasted cauliflower, crispy shrimp, chicken katsu and the octopus were also superb. I can say that everything I have tried so far on this menu will appease to any palate. I forgot to mention that when we returned on Friday there was a DJ playing music at the perfect sound level leaving it comfortable for you to engage in conversation and the DJ was amazing. Song selections were the perfect compliment to the restaurant. This is my new go to sushi spot, hang out, bar, vibe night, birthday party celebration …

Beautiful location at Nara Miami! Incredible food, welcoming atmosphere, live entertainment and a huge selection behind the bar. The desserts are just fantastic. If you're a sushi lover and a lover of a show with your food, this is the spot to be at! The sushi was fresh and delicious. The meat platter and chicken sticks were AMAZING!! So much flavor and the cooked chicken was just falling off the bone with every bite! The sushi rolls were fantastic and with slight variation to classics like the Shrimp Tempura, it really brings out the flavor palette. The desserts were just phenomenal! The red velvet cake was SUPER smooth and silky with every bite. The fried cheesecake would give fried Oreos a run for their money! The lava cake was warm and soft and with a scoop of ice cream was the perfect combination to end the night with! The bartender is great and made me different drinks from Negroni's to Mojito's and some house specialties which were all fantastic and tasted great. Overall the atmosphere and food at this place is second to none. Come during the weekend and get some entertainment or Thursday nights they have live performers! Such a blast! So I popped in for a late lunch. Menu is very affordable even without lunch specials I had the Katsu Don. Delicious!! More than enough for lunch. Happy hour drinks are great! Fantastic spot! Whether you’re on a date or with a large group of friends, this place was very accommodating. Most have tried mostly everything on the menu and I must say it was simply delicious and the octopus and lollipop chicken was to die for. Highly recommended and worth the drive no matter where you’re at in South Florida.

I think this restaurant is new, but the food and service were amazing! The Nara sushi was incredible, and so was the hot Chetos one, which I didn't expect it to be so good. Also, the red dragon (I think that is what is called) was very tasty. The edemame and orange chicken was also very nice. The desserts were incredible. Overall, I would like to come back with friends or alone. I also want to give a thanks to the manager, Domingo, for allowing us to have a fantastic time, as we celebrated my friend's birthday.

We were seated immediately and were greeted by an amazing server Betty, whom we will be setting up with our son, so back off! Also enjoyed the drinks the mixologist that night was incredible! Amazing food, service, and ambiance. I’ve been looking for a great sushi place in the area, but this place is beyond sushi (which was also excellent!). Everything we ordered was delicious (wagu skirt steak, roasted cauliflower, hamachi jalapeño roll, summer roll) and very reasonably priced. And the customer service - our waitress and the manager/owner were so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back! I rarely leave reviews, but this place is worth the visit!

Visited for a quick dinner and service was quite good and dishes coming out fast. Servers kind and attentive very eager to explain everything about the menu. Tried the Hamichi Jalapeno, Beef appetizer, Lobster Roll and Octopus Mediterranean style. We also got the Lamp chops with a very nice red pepper sauce, but it was only 2 pieces :-( Liked all of the dishes apart from the Lobster Roll, which could be more filling and rich. Have tasted a bit more rich flavors in other Sushi places. Overall very nice and cozy atmosphere for a casual stop in the area. Will surely visit again.

From the moment you walk in, the vibe is hip and cool. First thing the service was (excellent) waitress (Xio) was very attentive and on point. Now the food was delicious (everything we ordered was tasty) and served in cool hip utensils and plates. Finally we were celebrating a 30th birthday and Domingo hooked us up with some delicious desserts. I recommend you try this please. Oh BTW the music (amazing) you just want to dance.

We visited NARA for the first time yesterday to celebrate my mother's birthday and the experience was nothing short of phenomenal. We were served by Martin who was polite, knowledgeable and attentive. The chef (I believe) came by a few times with complimentary items for the table which included a plate of flaming edamame, a plate of spicy edamame (delicious!) and a plate of shishito peppers. I ordered a Japanese mule and the bartender personally came by after I asked for a side of simple syrup (I like my drinks very sweet) to remake the drink. The manager and chef came by a few times to ensure we were doing well and to ask if we needed anything. After we told them it was my mom's birthday, they brought over a large dessert board and sang her happy birthday. The atmosphere and decor was beautiful. Perfect for a date night or other celebration. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant! Chef's kiss!

I honestly don't know if I even used the menu or just ordered based on his recommendations. The cocktails were phenomenal as well. Lastly the music and ambiance were amazing as the restaurant is decorated very nicely and tastefully and there was a DJ on that night. My friends who go more often told me they have specials on Wednesday and Thursday nights Unfortunately, I lost the photos from that evening but it's safe to say, we will be back many times. So... We came here for my fiancés birthday with some friends and our experience was a 10/10. Emily was phenomenal. She made our entire experience incredible. The food was amazing, and came out so quick. We tried quite a few options on the menu and they were all very very good and fresh. Drinks were unique and creative, and not to mention the entire vibe was such a fun time. The staff truly cared about our experience . We even stayed and did some Hookah which was fun. It is kid friendly! 100% recommend.

What a fantastic experience! I visited this place with a group of friends last night, and it exceeded all our expectations. The ambiance was delightful, and the food was simply divine. Each dish we tried was flawlessly prepared. I must add that the food presentation was superb, making each dish even more enticing. And to top it off, the DJ played fantastic music, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. Almost forgot to add they have hookahs which I love. It truly was an all-around amazing experience that I can't wait to relive and share with others! The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff. I can't wait to return and will definitely be recommending it to everyone I know!

Lucky to meet the chef (an amazing guy). The food was good, with a variety of well-prepared dishes to choose from. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, and the other dishes were well-executed. In addition to the great food and service, the ambiance of the restaurant was also very nice. The decor was stylish and inviting, creating a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy the meal. Whether dining alone or with friends, the restaurant provided a comfortable and enjoyable setting. Overall, I would definitely recommend this sushi restaurant to anyone looking for good food and great service in a nice atmosphere. It's a great choice for a special occasion or just a casual meal.

We sat at the bar with Emily. She was amazing. We had a great diner. We will definitely be back. Her drinks were great and the Chef, Ray came to speak to us and make sure our food was to our liking. So happy with our experience!

Absolutely amazing. everything was awesome, first the waiters were very kind and attentive. Then we were delighted with the food, the sushi super fresh and delicious. but as if that wasn't enough, dessert came later! with fire and super decorated, we were delighted! highly recommended

We went there for Miami spice and Oh my got what a pleasant surprise!!! The food was AMAZING and so much for the Miami spice program. We could not finish. We had the squid and spicy tuna appetizer followed by the lamb chops and fried fish with an amazing fire presentation. I had a smoke old fashions cocktail and I can say it was top 3 of all the ones I had before. (I’m an old fashion fan) Everything was 5⭐️ Carlos was just amazing, we are definitely returning and bringing our fiends!

Ok this place is fire! We ended up here by pure coincidence of life and we didn’t regret it. Catalina was our server and she was full of energy. The place was packed so food wait was not for the weak. But we did have good portions and we were able to share. Our sushi rolls took probably 2 hours+ and it was only 2 orders. I had ordered the skirt steak which was a good portion and I was able to share with my husband while he waited. The fish he ordered wasn’t good but they quickly exchanged it AND THE SUSHI WAS STILL NOT OUT! Lol I know it sounds bad but I guess since we had ordered different things everyone got their food whenever it was ready. Lucky for our friend who only ordered sushi, he had ordered fries which held him down.

Don’t sit outside - Too long of a wait to get anything getting to you. Nice spot. Wednesday is a killer 50% off sushi and sake can’t beat that. Overall everything was good. Not the best sushi in Miami but will do the job. 4 stars fair. Would def come back on a Wednesday.

This is among the most authentic Japanese restaurants I have been to and their food easily proves that. They have top-notch professionals working in the kitchen making spectacular food all for a great price. Although the service was rather lacking which is why I took a star off. I would definitely come back.

If you're looking for good vegetarian sushi, this is the place, from what I saw in the menu they only have the vegetatian rainbow roll (I personally don't eat egg but if you do there are many more options as well in terms of other plates), however it was delicious and very well prepared, presentation was also as nice as any other roll. The only reason I don't give this place a 5 star is because the food didn't come all together and I personally think that for a big group it's nicer to start eating together. Service was great, and they have actual green tea which is a plus, it's not fake tea nor extremely sweetened like in most places.

I really enjoyed all the food i tried. i had a rainbow roll and a soft shell crab roll. both of which were really good. i also had a bowl of kimchi ramen which was spicy but delicious! The service was pretty good. Our waiter solved all our problems and had no issue getting us anything we wanted

This was our first visit to Nara Sushi and we were pleased with our experience. The service was outstanding and the owner Bhushan made sure we had everything we needed throughout the entire dinner. We had the opportunity to try the Spicy Tuna Crunch, Seared Scallops, Charred Octopus, and Thai Braised Short Ribs. The ingredients were of high quality and the each dish was skillfully and artistically presented. The atmosphere felt private and the dining area was very clean. Overall we had a great experience and would eat here again given the opportunity.

Veggie rice was tasty. Got a whole fried fish with no flavor or seasoning at all. Sushi roll was fine. Our server, short American lady, was very friendly. Probably the best part of the visit.

The food was absolutely amazing. I was considering giving them the benefit of the doubt and only taking one star off for service. But it seemed like the service was really bad all around. I don't blame the wait staff as they seemed very overwhelmed, though. Our server was nice but the food came as such weird intervals. We ordered 2 apps, soup, and a Nigri plate "at first" with the intention of ordering more sushi later. The first thing that came out was the Nigi plate. Then one of the two apps. Then two of the 6 sushi rolls we ordered. THEN after asking a second time 2 of the 3 miso soups we ordered came out. Then while asking about why our second app didn't come, we got another of the sushi rolls. We eventually did get all of our food but we were waiting for well over an hour for everything and the order in which it came was so odd. I overheard another table complaining about how they waited for over an hour for their food as well and when it came to their table it fell on the ground before they served them. I would consider going again and giving them another chance only because the sushi and the food we ate was really good.

I’ve been coming here for years. Food is pretty good but my most recent experience was disappointing. Service was very slow and rude despite having limited tables to serve. When asking for simple things like menus, water, forks and dressing, we had to ask multiple staff members repeatedly. Our appetizer came out 15 min after we were done eating all of our food. And the late arriving crispy rice appetizer was only 4 bites. Tip included but not warranted.

Pros Atmosphere was really nice! Staff was really courteous from waiter to receptionist! We were seated fairly quickly (We did have a reservation) Food was good Cons Food did not come all at the same time so we were waiting quiet a while between the 5 items we ordered. (Although im unsure if that is how the restaurant operates) It seemed they lacked waiters (I could be wrong but that was the impression I had, which is a shame because everyone was lovely).

I hope this will help you to fix your problems. If you want people to come back. First, your plates, glasses, and utensils should be cleaned. The second server needs more knowledge about approaching the table. ( first time in my experience I have to open and serve a bottle of wine). Third No one cleans the plate and table till we left. Food was ok. Exactly for 2 stars. I hope owners will read this review. We are locals and good to have nice place around.

My family and I went on a Saturday without a reservation. While we were walking to the table, we noticed the area around the table was dirty, onions and other foods on the floor and after we sat down we noticed that the table area had an old strong soy sauce smell. Nobody came to clean or anything. Our waiter was kind of rude at times. He would just leave without a word after we order something, not friendly and he was rude to one of my family member when he just barely touched his arm to call him and the waiter rudely responded by "don't touch my arm again". Anyway the only positive thing was the food, I guess. But it's not enough so I don't think I will be going back anytime soon.

atmosphere was first rate, service was good, however i ordered the steak and it was horrendous, full of fat and very salty, i ate less then half of it and threw away the rest, very disappointed. server offered me a replacement after we paid our bill, i accepted a dish to go, after 20 minutes i asked where it was and he informed me that he did not know i wanted it! at that point i walked out, as nice as the atmosphere was we will not be returning

this establishment is not recommended for first dates. the background noise is too loud and interferes with the conversation. additionally, at 7pm on a Thursday it was completely empty. the menu although seems impressive, had very poorly cooked dishes. service was OK and attentive. this restaurant used to be Yakko-San, apparently there is a new ownership and things changed for the worse. not recommended!

SCAM ALERT!!! Double check your bill!!! They manipulate the bill in various ways which makes the total price of an item almost double than the menu price. That is pure dishonesty and stealing. When I asked them about certain items on the bill and why they were priced differently than the menu, they said I since I ate it, they won’t correct the bill?? Then they said that is how I ordered the item, when in fact I ordered directly from the menu. It seems as though they do this often because when I asked the manger about the bill he seemed nervous and oddly enraged. He was physically shaking and started screaming. His hostility left the entire restaurant uncomfortable. Very unprofessional staff. They ended up correcting the bill but I’m NEVER coming back here!!!! The incident could have been easily fixed but the manger and waitress escalated the matter, which was not necessary. Food is okay but over priced + the shady charges….There better options in the neighborhood that do business honestly!

If I could give this place a 0 I will definitely do It. 1st. We got a table for 4 and they just gave us 1 menu. Like man wttf? 2. They left us waiting for more than 25 minutes I had to stand up to ask for more menus and a server. 3. When I tried to order in the table the server said she’s too busy to take our order. 4. Sushi’s very tiny. 5. Of course tip is included + service fee.

Unfortunately, the first and only time there (mind I live very close) with my wife was a horrible experience. I cannot say about the food because we never ate. We went at noon to give it a try after going shopping in the same plaza. The waiter met us and sat us, we order drinks and he asked if we knew what we want to which I replied "no, first time here" and he said " no problem, I'll give you some time to look at our menu" and like that he went away. After drinking our drinks and waiting in total for about 25 minutes there was no sign of him or anybody else, restaurant had about two tables with customers beside us. But, we could hear lots of talk and laugh right behind a wall on the right side of the sitting area when looking from the front. My wife just said to go, but we couldn't even go as we would have to pay first... if we could find a damb employee! So I walked to the laughing area just to find a couple of waiters including ours just talking there instead of working. He saw me and told me " sorry, you guys ready to order?" to which I replied "yes, we have been for the past 25 minutes (already at 30 since he disappeared) so I as m ordering the check so I can pay for the drinks and go eat somewhere else because my wife and I are starving". He produced the bill in just 30 seconds, my wife threw a couple of dollars on the counter and we just walked out. The reviews show in general their food is good, but we are never going to taste it because we are not going back. If you read the reviews, there is one that complains nobody picked up the phone and the owner of the place replied to it saying if busy, lucky if they pick up phone, call later. REALLY? Worst response ever. You do not run successful business with that attitude. Good Luke dude, you are going to need it...

I've been coming here for 10 years, but the quality of food and service has really gone down. Drove down from west palm just to have the Chicken Curry, and was incredibly disappointed. It was cold, runny, and clearly something that has been sitting around all day. When I tried to speak with the manager, he barely let me finish my sentence before he took the plate away and ran off. Server remained MIA rest of the dinner, not even bothering to ask if I wanted anything else. This, while watching most of the other servers just hang out by the bar and chill. Awful customer service. Just lost a customer.

Awful service!!! Food was brought to the table terribly slow and at a weird order (beef first, appetizer second, edamame after we finished) and we never got our 3 orders of sushi rolls, we had to wait for it after everything was picked up, once we got the sushi (only 1 out of 3) we asked for spicy mayo and were totally ignored we asked for it twice and still were ignored, we asked for water and were ignored. 10 minutes have passed and I’ve asked the guy already a third time and he was simply ignoring my request shaking his head and smiling at me. our server disappeared, and this was all while the restaurant was empty, we asked to cancel the sushi orders yet they brought the check with all of the sushi rolls to pay for, we asked for the manager, but the manager did not care to come, the server said he’s busy helping, we asked to see the manager again and only after we paid he came to the table nodded his head listening while really caring less and just he walked away, never going back there.

Worst experience ever! I decided to dine there because I heard about Nara and was referred there from multiple sources about their ambiance and the quality of their service. We made reservations and was seated right away. After sitting for 40 minutes a waiter never came to our table to take our order. We had to get up and call someone over to order appetizers and drinks. Our appetizers never even came out nor did our server ever come to check to see if it was brought out! We told the server to just remove the appetizers from our order and we would just order our main course, after not even addressing us or anything she told us that the kitchen was closed and we could not place an order for food or anything else. After going through the process of making reservations for dinner and not even being able to eat they still had the audacity to charge 20% gratuity on the drinks, food items we never received, and the service that we had to seek on our own. This place is absolutely horrible! I will never return to this restaurant!

To begin with the menu is not that big , limited options and very high priced. I sat down with my daughter outside and got immediately service I ordered water and a glass of champagne. The server completely forgot about us after bringing just water.. I saw him walking inside and outside many times and never came back to ask for our order. He also never brought my drink. Waited 15min and had to leave . Mosquitoes were eating us alive ! I wouldn’t come back. I miss the old place yako San was way better at everything service , menu and price

I went to this place for the first time and it was highly recommended by my friend. The food was tasty, however the service was below the line. Our server completely forgot about my order. I had to ask at least 3 different people where my order is and had to physically go and haunt my order down. Eventually our server appeared and acted surprise, arguing with me that I have never ordered what I am asking for. 40 mins later my order appeared. When time came to pay the bill, they have not tried to cover their mistake. We asked to speak to the manager, our server called another server to act as a manager. Eventually the owner of the restaurant came out and called he server to come with him, when we were explaining what happened server was raising his voice at us and the owner name Andy was checking his text messages and not even bothered to listen. He did not offer any solve to the issue and walked away, making us pay the whole bill. Unacceptable, no service, rude and disgusting! Will never come here again and will not advise you to do so.

Food is overpriced, and low quality. The service was terrible, and my wife and I were charged a service fee. I understand that service charges are standard with a certain head count or price threshold, but it was just the two of us and we only ordered two meals. The only good thing about this restaurant was that it was completely empty while every surrounding restaurant had a 30+ minute wait time. TLDR: I paid almost $100 for two rolls of sushi and 10 pieces of sashimi, and was charged a "mandatory" service fee of $15. The food was mediocre at best.
