Excellent spot for barbecue. Food was great. They have live music out back as well.
We were in town for a trip and decided to give this place a try since it was conveniently close to our hotel. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable, which added to the experience. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, so we were seated right away and, to our surprise, received our food quickly as well. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. When we’re back in town, we’ll definitely stop by again!
The staff and the atmosphere is amazing. But the food is beyond expectation!!! No other place can compre to thissss
This hidden gem in Miami Springs is one of the best spots to kick back, have a drink and listen to the best local rock bands out there. From the customer service to quality of the food, a well deserved 5 stars! The owners, Oscar and his wife seem to alway be present on weekends and greet all of the regular customers. Truly humble and down to earth people! Special shout out to Danay, the restaurant’s hostess who is super friendly and funny - The servers and the kitchen staff, they go out of their way to make sure customers are completely satisfied, always with a smile on their face! Don’t miss out on the brunch, portions are huge and all reasonably priced! Weekend bands are awesome. I recommend Woody’s 100%.
Good food and good service specially when Laura is taking care of you. She’s always around always has a good attitude and is happy to take care of you. True rarity.
I found Woody's to be a friendly neighborhood hangout spot. I appreciated the happy hour after an exhausting day. I tried the brisket sandwich with fries. I thought the brisket tasted great, but the sandwich absolutely fell apart after the first bite. Needs a stronger bread for that much meat and slaw. The fries were excellent. Everything had great flavor but the sandwich falling apart was disappointing.
The food was delicious, I ordered the wings hot and BBQ ribs. They were both good but the ribs got my attention with a hint of smoke with a lot of flavor, tendor fall of the bone and juicy. Staff is super nice and attentive. Great all around experience. Btw the corn bread was surprisingly delicious. Not dry at all like every other corn brad out there.
Food was great. Service really good. Had a DJ that was playing great music. Overall great experience. 1st time I've been here in a very long time. Will go back for sure.
The staff hosted our camp for special needs children during the summer. Not only was the food top notch but the staff were amazing and kind. Highly recommended.

I've been here several times. The food is priced well and tastes pretty good . Definitely good for the price. The first time I purchased those cnch fritters and the shrimp bowl. The second time I purchased the mahi mahi salad and the calamari. Overall the food I purchased both times was good especially from a place that is a bar and grill type place. The food I purchased was very good for the price. I do recommend

10/10 experience at Woody’s Bar Backyard Grill! The brisket is absolutely amazing – tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. And a special shoutout to Stephanie, who truly made our visit unforgettable! Her warm personality, attentiveness, and exceptional service elevated the entire dining experience. Keep up the great work, Stephanie and team – we’ll definitely be back!
Great atmosphere, food & service. Silvana is the BEST, truly makes the whole experience 😍 Yummy drinks, delicious food (try the burnt ends, burger sliders, pulled pork) & amazing place to watch the game or hang with friends. Ask for SILVANA or VICTORIA for the best experience!
Great place to catch a game, eat awesome BBQ, and enjoy the views.
Can’t tell you enough about the food at Woodys!!! Sprins #1 place to eat, relax on a family atmosphere. Our waitress Alyssa went beyond on courtesy and acted just like the owner will do make happy their customer happy. Thank you so much!! Best of luck.
So, i am a foodie for one.. i feel the energy and the vibe of any place i go to and the people im around... I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Tony the owner and his wonderful staff.. he was down to earth.. and you can see the love he has for what he does.. the food is UNREAL.. fantastic ( nica cheese to die for and brisket etc.. not to mention the cocktails. This place will be a frequent visit in my schedule moving forward!!
Went for class reunion and this was a very nice spot. Great chicken wings with flavor. You can tell they cook them fresh. Will return
Loved the surprise of lights and music! Woody's people will know! It had our whole team laughing and dancing!
We are in town for a cruise and decided to stope in at woodys for some food and drinks. We must say that we were so impressed. The food is amazing, the drinks are perfect and the mango mouse cake is to die for. Thank you woodys for making our experience so pleasurable.
Amazing food, great environment. A happening little spot that surprised me in all ways. I would very highly recommend Woodys backyard grill. Great parking around the building, nice and cool inside with a little patio, and the food is honestly superb! Staff is very pleasant, and servers are easy to look at 👌
Woodys is a great place to stop in Miami Springs. My girl Victoria was taking care of me today and the service was outstanding. Along with the company of course. I am a regular here and love the place.
This place has changed!!! Love the upgrade to the food. Flavors are out of control. The staff and owners are spectacular. Sophia, our waitress, was always on point. From the drinks to the food. A perfect local place for all to enjoy!
My wife and I got there and all the parking was taken. Both a good sign and a bad one. We finally parked and met up with some friends. We went to see my friend who was in the band. We sat down and someone came and took our order. We didn’t order full meals just enough to fill up. It took a bit but to their defense it was very crowded and some big parties there. Food arrives and as we are enjoying the music and eating I start to savor my pull pork tacos, they were out the brisket tacos, and man…what a taste! The pull pork was amazing topped with all the fixing including a new one for a taco. Coleslaw! The mixture was great. My wife had the sliders with the fries and they too were delicious. All in all we had a very good experience there. Will definitely go back, even though it’s a bit out of the way, to eat some of their main dishes. Thanks guys!!
I had the pleasure of dining at Woody’s, and our bartender, Victoria, made the experience absolutely outstanding! From the moment we sat down, she greeted us with a warm smile and an infectious energy that immediately set the tone for a great meal and drink Victoria was incredibly attentive, ensuring that our drinks were always full and that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Their menu knowledge was impressive—they walked us through the different BBQ options, explained the sides, and even suggested a few signature dishes that turned out to be amazing. What stood out the most was their genuine hospitality. They checked in at just the right moments, made great conversation, and treated us like family. Even in a busy restaurant, they made us feel like we were their top priority. The food was fantastic, but the service was what truly made the experience memorable. If you’re visiting Woody’s, be sure to ask for Victoria—you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend!
A gal pal and I do a lunch around town once every few months. We each take a pick and mine was Woodys. Small old local restaurant in Miami Springs in a residential area. Food was very good and staff answered all my nosey questions. I grew up right by the train bridge in Hialeah right down the road.
We ordered the sampler plate and everything was excellent! Ribs, pulled pork, brisket, burnt ends with baked beans and coleslaw. I’ve had a lot of BBQ in my years and typically a place does one or two meats well, but others not as good. All of these were great.
Food is always delicious and drinks always cold. Top spot in town for good time, love their live music nights. Even their salads taste good, everything on the menu is a winner!
Good food. A little pricey, but good!
We decided to get married on a cruise going out of Miami and invited some of our friends and family so we wanted to have a nice pre-cruise dinner. I am from the Chicago area so I was at a loss as to where to hold something like this. After a google search I found Woody's West End Tavern. I called them and got to speak with Susan the manager at Woody's. Susan was amazing in helping answer all my questions and arranging everything for my group of 20 people. We got there and Susan had beautifully decorated our table. The food was really good, the portions were perfect and they were really good about keeping up with everyone's drinks. We went on a Friday and they had a great band playing as well. All I can say is I wish Woody's was closer to home because I know I would be there often. So thank you Woody's for a wonderful night!
We love coming here! Between the food the staff and the atmosphere, this place checks all the boxes! They have an excellent happy hour with copious options and plenty of TVs showing all your preferred games and events. We’ve come multiple times and have yet to not have a wonderful experience. Be sure to ask for Silvana and Victoria!
Laura was fabulous ! I didn’t have to ask her for anything! It’s like she read my mind! Amazing service!
I went right when it opened with my mom . The bartender was still preparing but serviced us right away and was super sweet . I honestly didn’t expect much being that it was during the day and they specialize in ribs but the mini burger I had were really good and flavorful . The loaded fries were delicious and you can tell everything is made there . Haven’t gone here in years but would defiantly come back to check out the night life .
Amazing bbq! And I am not exaggerating. It’s the best I’ve ever had. Barbecue pork can usually be dry, but this was so moist and flavorful. We had the sampler platter and everything was bursting with flavor. The Ribs fell off the bone, and the cornbread was very sweet and tasted caramelized. If we lived in the neighborhood, we’d be here frequently. If you’re in this area, don’t miss them!
This is the ideal neighborhood bar... Great food... Great drinks... well priced...Great family environment...perfect place to let your hair down and have a great down to earth time
We tried Woody's for dinner tonight before we set sail on our cruise and all say is we were blown away by this establishment. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. Please try the cornbread..😋We will definitely be back. If you're in Miami please check this place out. You won't be disappointed..Shout out to our waitress Victoria. She was great and the owners were as well...
Love this place! Great atmosphere and staff! It's awesome to just hang out, but it's even better cause of the delicious food! Definitely try the brisket! They are always in competitions a d winning.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Woody's Grill and trying their amazing ribs and cornbread, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight. The ribs were cooked to perfection - tender, juicy, and flavorful with just the right amount of smoky goodness. Each bite practically melted in my mouth and left me craving more. The cornbread was the perfect accompaniment to the ribs, with a slightly sweet flavor and a moist, crumbly texture. It was the ideal side dish to balance out the savory richness of the ribs. The service at Woody's Grill was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure that my dining experience was nothing short of fantastic. Overall, I highly recommend Woody's Grill for anyone looking for delicious ribs and cornbread. It's a must-visit spot for all BBQ lovers out there. I will definitely be returning for more of their mouthwatering dishes in the future.
MY FELLOW AMERICANS, TODAY MY BESTIE CHASIDY AND I DECIDED TO HANG AROUND THE AMAZING CITY OF MIAMI SPRINGS AND DECIDED TO TRY WOODY'S BACKYARD GRILL. WELL WHAT A PLEASANT, INCREDIBLE AND DOWN TO EARTH ENVIRONMENT. WE HAD SOME US TIME AND RELAXED, THURSDAYS THEY HAVE A DJ AND KARAOKE. THE SERVICE WAS AMAZING AND OUR SERVER WAS NEW BUT ON POINT, HIS NAME WAS GREG. THE MANAGER CHECKED ON US AND THE CROWD WAS GREAT. THE FOOD AS YOU CAN SEE IS DOWN TO EARTH, NOT FANCY, JUST GOOD AND DELICIOUS. IF YOUR EVER IN THE CITY OF MIAMI SPRINGS, YOU HAVE TO STOP BY AND ENJOY WOODY'S
Tahnia was amazing— best bartender/server at the establishment. nice spot with good vibes. best thing here to eat is the nachos and wings.
Came here for lunch and had the yummiest burger sliders. They had the best seasoning on them. Our server was friendly and helpful. Next time I’m in Miami, I’ll definitely be back.
Fantastic Tuesday night and they had karaoke, fun vibes and really delicious (award winning) barbecue meats...brisket, pork ribs, burnt ends...birria tacos. All so good.
I have been coming here for years and the new menu is absolutely amazing. Laura was my server tonight and she was amazing. Before I could even ask her for anything it was already ring in and on the ready.
This was some of the best barbeque we've had (and we just moved from Texas). We were already excited to come back after trying the burnt ends, but when the pulled pork and ribs came out we were in heaven. My toddler loved the little play area they have in the back too. The young lady who was serving us was so sweet and absolutely delightful, as was the owner, who came over and told us about all the cool evening events they have, from open mic nights to karaoke. We were having a great time, but we had to go so we could get my toddler down for a nap, and it started pouring. This was the biggest downpour I've seen since the last hurricane, and to my absolute shock, the owner showed up with an umbrella and helped me get both my babies and my Mom into the car. He just held the umbrella for us while he got completely soaked. I'm still in awe at this Man's kindness. He was beyond gentlemanly and you could just tell that he has a heart of gold. I had already started this review about the food being amazing before we left, but after that man getting soaked to his bones for us, I just don't feel that there enough words to express how wonderful this experience was. This level of kindness is not something you find often in Miami. I cannot wait to come back with my husband for date night. Their evening events sound amazing, and my husband is still talking about those ribs. It doesn't get any better than this amazing little local spot.
I had such a great time coming here! Sophie, Stephanie, Savannah, and Sydney always make sure my experience is the best. The food and service is always amazing as well as the atmosphere.
Savannah served us at the bar today and she was amazing! Great food, amazing service and she told us all the specials for the week so we could come back and visit. She’s awesome!!!will definitely come back!!!
Best wings around for price and flavor and best beer prices. Been here every night on vacation. Tahnia is the best bar tender/server there. If you go look for her!
Local gem. It's just one of those spots you have to simply know about. Tuckes away in the middle of a neighborhood you will find a surprising treat. A place that combines a cool and layer back vibe paired with good food(birria tacos),great drinks and a staff that will make it feel like your local bar. Try out their brisket and be pleasantly surprised.
Woody's Backyard Grill is awesome. I love the atmosphere. The food is delicious and the staff are great. I went for Sundays Brunch. It is sooooo good! Totally worth going with friends and family. I definitely want to come back and enjoy the other nightly events and more. I can't wait to try more things on the menu.
I had the amazing opportunity to sit with Stephanie and she was amazing and she made sure we were well taken care of. The bartender Sydney was also amazing. Overall great experience and definitely recommend to everyone in the area.
This bar-and-grill is a hidden gem for good food at a reasonable price! On my first visit, I tried the conch fritters and shrimp bowl—so tasty. The second time, I got the mahi mahi salad and calamari, and once again, everything was solid. For a casual spot like this, the food is impressive—fresh, flavorful, and filling. Perfect for a laid-back evening, a night out with friends, or even just a quick bite after work. Honestly, it’s the kind of place where you know you’ll get good food for the price. Definitely recommend if you want casual, satisfying dishes without overspending.
Unbelievable!! We are here from out of town and stumbled upon this restaurant by accident and we are so happy we did! The atmosphere is lively and fun, our server was very attentive and friendly, the owner was so nice and fun to talk with, and the food.... wow. We had the nachos, smash burger, tacos, wings and brisket. All were out of this world. The sides that game with the entrees were even better! the cornbread and the pickles are all home made and delicious!! any time we are back in Miami we are coming back here for sure!!!
The establishment is pleasant, despite the facade. Sharp table knives. Nice staff, especially the waiter...open and responsive. The food is very tasty. We ordered the ribs combo - damn how good it was! The meat is soft and falls off the bone. Everything is delicious. I recommend this small but pleasant establishment.

A really nice place, food and service. Food is fantastic...
I blame ME FOR my timing (3:45pm) for getting a meal I couldn’t eat. The brisket reviews got my attention and brought me to the trough! Being from Oklahoma and with distant family members celebrating 80 years in the BBQ business in Shawnee, OK-I know brisket. What I received on a slice of bread, sliced 1/4” thick brisket hidden in a slurry of sauce to hide the drying shadow of lunchtime freshness, BUT with a beautiful bark and a modest hint of damage-possibly from a microwave. The meat was dry and needed a knife to cut. From reading reviews, I know Woody’s knows his brisket and how to cook it. My recommendation is NOT TO SELL IT if you can’t reheat with steam. Anyone NOT knowing brisket and the BBQ business certainly wouldn’t return for this $35 plate that I left uneaten. On that note, I was somewhat surprised I wasn’t questioned as to why I didn’t eat it. The bartender was super friendly and attentive for the most part but missed a plate of brisket as she scraped it clean. The Southern style Potato Salad was super good and even the baked beans had a nice finish. I hope you see my comments for what they are, my opinion. If I am wrong about the reheat, my bad. However, as good as your reviews of the brisket are, leaving it on the counter overnight or over a weekend OR a microwave reheat is the only things I’ve ever seen ruin a great brisket as I am sure this was at lunch. My review is not personal or intended to be taken in a bad way. When they sell left-over brisket in Oklahoma. it’s always sold as “left-overs-order at your own risk or be here at lunch or dinner-time” (I’ve seen it done successfully); ESPECIALLY at 3:45 in the afternoon. You met my expectations when you could have blown me away. The place has a cool vibe, it’s super clean, as mentioned earlier-the bartender is a joy, and the prices are spot-on for the cost of today’s food supplies, labor, taxes, utilities, wood, rent, insurance, workers comp, advertising, and licensing. If you truly enjoy Smoked Brisket, GIVE Woody’s Backyard Grill a shot at Lunch-time or Dinner, NOT in the middle of the afternoon as I did. There are waaaay too many GREAT reviews of Woody’s brisket for it not to be AMAZING when it’s fresh! UPDATED: 2/14 Management requested I email so we could “dive in to the details of my review”. I will update once the dialogue is complete.
We stopped by after the boy soccer game on a whim. The service is super friendly and very attentive. The food is really good, we had the brisket, burger and ribs. The live music was by The Groove Brothers Band and they were good and made the night enjoyable.

I would give Woodys a 3.5 out of 5. Overall, a very nice place to have lunch. Not a large selection of food including appetizers and entrees but they did have a kids menu so that’s good as well. Drinks were very good and they were a little light which would be perfect for a lunch break. Average price of a drink is only $10 for a specialty. Service was good. But let’s talk about the food. My wife and I had the turkey sandwich and the Melt which BOTH were delicious. The reason I’d recommend this place is because their food was fresh and well cooked and most importantly DELICIOUS! Overall, I am a Springs resident so next time I come back I’d like to see different ideas on the menu.
Good bar food and live music on the weekends. A great 70's/80's rock cover band was playing on the outdoor stage and dining area on the Saturday night we went. Food is pretty good. Had ordered the brisket sandwich but they brought me the brisket dinner instead. Generous portion of brisket but wasn't as tender as I've had it at other places. Lively atmosphere and popular with the locals.
Afternoon= lunch.. Key Lime Pie for my appitizer!! Life Is Uncertain...Eat Dessert First!!! N then Philly cheesesteak sandwich with sweet potato fries EVERYTHING was yummy According to Kathy Harris the music was not nearly as loud n was quite entertaining. Service was awesome..our needs n necessities were met.
4 of us stopped here before our cruise. It was walking distance from our hotel. Very nice sports bar atmosphere. Good service and everyone enjoyed their meal. My only complaint was I had the Mahi with pineapple mango topping and there was neither on my fish. Just onions and jalepeno. I was bummed as I was looking forward to a nice fruity salsa. I would definitely go back though.
The food was good but it didn't come out together. 3/4 people got food and then the last plate came like 7 minutes later. 7 minutes doesn't seem like a lot but when you get shrimp and grits you gotta eat them grits asap or they will get cold and congeal. But the food was good and the singer was amazing.
Full bar, typical grill food, friendly neighborhood ambience, super slow service. I hope the new manager soon finds some competent bartenders & servers who pay attention to the patrons. Update August 2025: under new management again, but basically the same: basic bar food, (the loaded fries were tasty), comfortable ambience, slow inexperienced service. I go to Woody's to meet up with neighborhood friends, not because they earn my business, unfortunately.
To start the atmosphere is great, especially for kids. They recently added some playground elements and it's quite nice. We went around 3:30 pm on a Saturday and were a big group with kids so we sat outside. At the time the bartender was handling the bar, the floor and the outside area, which was alot for one person. That being said, with the bartender spread thin, service was outright slow as it always is. We've given woodys 3 chances and every time, service has been sub par. There were other staff members on duty including the owner. If I were any one of them, I would've stepped in to make sure we were being promptly served..that didn't happen. I would've been a little more proactive if it was my business. When our food arrived, it was ok, as advertised. And the drinks were good too! They were just understaffed and had we been better attended, they could've made more money from drinks alone. My advice, is go to woodys only if you have time on your side. And order everything ahead because boy are they slow.
I'm not sure what to say.. this is the second time here but the first visit was good and today was not so good. I guess an average of 3 stars for two visits. The service was fine at the start but after that, It went downhill. We were not given utensils until asked but missed out on giving two knives because we were a party of 2 and not 1. We weren't asked if we wanted condiments at all.. I had to go to the other table to grab the condiments because the waiters were sitting down at a table. Food: half of a pound of brisket with mac n cheese and sweet potatoes. The brisket was cold and 3 or 4 strips of brisket was crazy. It was okay . The mac n cheese was terrible.. we didnt eat it. The fries were good but that's not hard to mess up and the potatoe salad was fine too. I doubt I'll be back.
The food was great. But the young lady that I guess was supposedly in charge of the servers was very Curt and rude towards the other servers. I even mentioned it to my server who I don't remember her name and she said she totally understands. Also that disaster that they call the kids garden with all the little toys and stuff takes away all the extra seats and space fill customer last night was a complete disaster they were trying to fit customers anywhere that was a space in that little area without regard people had to walk around and go to the bathroom. I even mentioned it to the server as she told me that the manager said there's nothing they can do there was a couple of tables that was set up for eight people and 12 people showed up so they just put their extra chairs in the way and they blocked us in and we mentioned that as well and there's said there's nothing they can do. The owner was working hard but it seemed like all he was concerned about was serving the food cuz every time I turned around it was pulling a spare table out of in nowhere and putting it wherever there was a hole. No dance floor no nothing
Went for lunch on Friday... I have mixed feelings about this place. First the PROS: Nice comfortable outdoor seating enough for our party of 10. The Brisket tacos I had were delicious, the dirty burger was delicious, the ribs I think are better than Flannigan's fall off the bone ribs .. I Would say these just barely hang on to the bone they are so tender... And they use a mustard base sauce over them that gives them a very good flavor. Fish dip was ok, not that memorable.. Now for the CONS: Service while friendly and courteous was EXTREMELY SLOW... We only have 1 hour for lunch, and if service is typically this slow, we will never be able to come back here. The waitress kept telling us they only had her and 1 cook working on a FRIDAY... The only people we saw in the entire restaurant were 2 guys and us 10... No one else until later on when we were finishing up. The pulled pork sandwiches and pulled pork nachos were COLD ... But everyone was so hungry and tired of waiting that they ate the food... But I definitely have to post the review here... Since all pulled pork items were cold we all thought that's how it was supposed to be .. We were told later on when they were cleaning up the table (because we asked) that no it was supposed to be hot .. So big issue with that cold food... Luckily it was cooked, it was just COLD... Not even warm... We would have appreciated an apology and possibly credit for next time but nothing was offered... Just simply a statement that yes it was supposed to be hot.. The nachos pulled pork were also cold .. At least the chips were really good. Overall we may come back again, but I have mixed feelings here. If the service is going to be as slow as it was, then we will never be able to come back. Another thing is you need to pay attention to the item pricing on the menu. Some items are ridiculously pricey while others are decent, like the brisket tacos. The brisket was I think $28 dollars with 2 sides and I think that's on the pricey side for brisket. So, if service gets better next time we come, maybe we will make it a regular lunch outing in the office. Give them a try, you might have better luck than us... They do seem to have an outdoor area for live music..
Food was pretty good, but the service sucks. I ordered a basic burger, cooked medium with lettuce, tomatoes and onion. The fries were probably the best part of the order, the burger wasn’t bad but felt too firm to the bite. Veggies seemed fresh but were so big that the burger slid around and got difficult to eat. The biggest compliant is the service. I was sitting at the bar along with 2 other people, and about 20 others among 5 or so tables. It wasn’t busy, didn’t seem like it, but after getting my food and having finished my beer, it took so long for a bartender to check on me that I was already halfway done with my food. Not to mention said bartender had walked near me twice and never looked up to check on whether I was okay or not. Put simply, I wouldn’t come back despite it being so close to my work. I’d rather sit in traffic and miss happy hour at Hole in the Wall than come back here.
The BBQ was way overcooked for my taste. The waitress was great. We sat on the patio where the band was setting up. We could carry on a conversation, but we left before the band started.
The place was really nice, the food was delicious, and the girls working there were super attentive. The only problem? The drinks. The beer, sodas, and even the water tasted awful — everything comes from a dispenser, nothing bottled. When I got home, I told my brother (he’s the one who recommended the place), and he just said, “Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you… the drinks there are always like that.” So I guess it’s just part of the deal. Great food and service, but if you go, stick to the wings and ribs and skip the drinks.

Could do better The four pieces of brisket I got for 20something dollars was good macaroni and cheese was out of a box you get a small amount of food for a big price I tryed to call my order in and stayed on hold for then hung up on drove 35 min there and the phone was still off the hook got to the bar and the bartender told me I need to find someone walking around to take my order Togo Nice atmosphere, but things could be so much better

I had a great experience the day before. The food was excellent service was on point, and the kitchen staff was super friendly. So impressed that I invited my family to have a late Saturday lunch. The place was. Not full, just a large table with fifteen or more people dining room is empty. We sat outside and waited for a while; a couple came about ten minutes after we sat down, and two minutes later, the man behind the bar with the pirate hat came and helped them. We figured that table was not assigned to him, waited for another ten minutes, and walked away. Can't recommend
Under new management we went to try it out and ordered what we ordered before the chicken wings with fresh Garlic and Parmesan instead we got a garlic sauce ? Everything had to much salt. Also the prices are a bit higher. We will not be coming back. I wish they would have asked the other owners how they made their outstanding chicken wings. Missing the old woodies. Old review Woodies is an incredible bar. The food is amazing! The happy hour specials are really good. One of our favorite places to just hang out and enjoy the live music on the weekends or relax for lunch. Great atmosphere.
So, got there about 730 on a Tuesday evening. There are Only like 6 entrees on the menu ( and then several subs/sandwiches)and Most are ribs or something made with brisket ! So guess what , sorry no ribs or brisket tonight.:( so what DO you have? Not much).Food was just ok . Caesar salad swimming in dressing. Wine Glass dirty.. waitress didn’t bring napkins or paper towels - and started clearing our plates before we were done ( I think she wanted to go home)… it was just NOT a good night for them. The vibe was NOT good :(
Food is good. I'd enjoy going more often, but I'm disappointed about how long it takes to get service, food and my bill.
Ordered a full rack of ribs with regular BBQ sauce + two sides. The ribs came with the restaurants default honey mustard sauce instead. Not a huge deal, just an honest mistake. I can wipe it off and apply a different sauce... I decided to make it a to-go order instead, so I could eat at home. Food was still warm when I got home, I wiped off the honey mustard and flooded the ribs with a proper BBQ sauce. About 2/3 of the rack was just bland, mushy meat that ended up being thrown in the trash. The other 1/3 wasn't much better. So I pretty much ended up spending almost $40 for a side of Mac n cheese and cornbread. The service however was excellent. The waitress was very sweet and attentive. Unfortunately I won't be coming back here, which is a shame because it's a nice location and the staff are very friendly.
Wish I could have tried more food. The burnt ends were good, but never was able to get anything else from the kitchen. The service was absolutely horrible. It took 25 minutes to get a drink, we put our food order in after that and an hour later the waitress comes to tell us they are out of brisket. Not acceptable.
Man oh man… I really wanted to like this place, and usually I’m proud of the places I choose to eat at. But this was not it. The ambience wasn’t nice (white lights and many wonky chairs), the service was really slow despite it not being even half full. The waiter was nice, but that was about it for the pros. The cheese in the Mac and cheese and the loaded fries tasted like plastic, brisket was cold, and pulled pork tasted very off. I guess there must be some nights with live bands or events, or maybe people just go for the sports? That’s all I can think of for the high rating. Would not go back :/
Can't rate the food or drinks. Came in and was greeted by I guess a server for the patio. Sat down near the bar area, and after 20 minutes watching the bartender socialize and take selfies with her friends, walked out. Live music - good acoustics, good parking, good seating (my table was wobbly though), chill atmosphere, but no idea about the food or drinks.

If you like overcooked dry fatty meat, cold, soggy, oversalted fries, filthy condiment containers, and being ignored by Laura (maybe Lora), who can't place a correct drink order and then ignores you, then this is the place for you! Good luck!
Waited over 30 minutes for a waitress after being seated but no one ever came, went to the bar to get a cocktail. SHE FORGOT TO PUT ALCOHOL in it, i literally watched her. Worst place
Be extremely careful with the bar staff and even the manager. We were over charged for drinks. When we addressed the situation to the manager he brought us a new check with the current amount being charged. When they returned the receipt and debit card transaction they had charged the original amount. It's unacceptable we addressed it again to the manager and all he could do was apologize. Nothing was resolved. We used to come here all the time it's a great environment but once they closed and reopened it's just not the same.
I’ve never reviewed anything on google but this was absolutely necessary. We got there late afternoon, it took them over 25 minutes to bring menus out, it took another 15 minutes just to bring out waters mind you we were just a group of 2, it took over 35 minutes to get our meals and it was simple meal, 2 burgers and wings. Not only that but the food tastes horrible, my wings were undercooked, you could literally see parts were it was still raw. At first we were seated outside but as soon as the food came out flies literally came out of nowhere and we had to move inside. My order was messed up, had asked for lemonade but was given another glass of water?? I had ordered a burger and wings and I only got the wings and she claimed that I had said I want just that. We had to get napkins and condiments ourselves. Even getting the bill was a struggle. We had gotten off the plane and wanted a quick bite before heading to the beach and this was an awful experience. If Im going to spend a total of $80 on food, I should be entitled to a good service and meal right?
TLDR: Do NOT come here!!! DO NOT waste your time!!! If you want to be treated with respect, go anywhere else. After a long day of family flying out to Miami we wanted to grab a quick, no frills bite to eat close to the Miami airport, and ended up at Woody’s Backyard Grill. We would like to preface the next portion with this: we do not like to throw accusations of racism around lightly so we'll call this an observation; however as a group of 11 who were mostly Asian, we were thoroughly ignored multiple times while other parties of non-minorities got served regardless of their later arrival time. Call it what you want but no matter the reason, the service was horrendous, the manners were unprofessional, and the energy was impolite. It left a very sour taste in our mouths. We were seated outside and requested menus (who even has to REQUEST menus??) and for the TV to be switched over to a specific playoff bball game. We were told to head outside and someone would be right there. It took over 10 minutes to have someone come out with menus and that was after multiple attempts at asking for service. The TV was never changed to the game we requested. We watched as multiple parties were serviced before us and as workers came out and walked right by us. The final straw was when we finally got menus (they only brought them out after we grabbed some from inside after 10-15 minutes of waiting) and they took another 10 minutes to bring out water. On top of that, the waitress was unfriendly. We left before we spent the whole night waiting for someone to take our order. All around a terrible experience and we will never be back.
The food was gross to the point that we could hardly eat it and left early. One burger looked great but smelled and tasted rancid. The other tasted more like fish than cow. The fries were soggy and our drinks tasted like off brand knock offs. Overall a very disappointing experience after a long day.
