We have always loved Cavallini’s garden-style dining room. The twinkling lights and spacious surroundings make it a must-go for a Milanese meal. The waitstaff and food are always top notch. At this lunchtime we shared the Florentine steak which was ridiculously delicious then even managed to push ourselves into an impressive tiramisu and an affogato with pistachio gelato. The next trip to Milan we will most definitely be back!

My partner travels to Milan several times a year and stays at a nearby hotel. He found this place and eats here regularly. I finally had a chance to try it and it does not disappoint. Everything I tried was delicious; I particularly enjoyed the asparagus ravioli. There is an extensive wine list with many reasonably priced options, and the food is well priced for the quality. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the service was friendly and efficient. A great find in Milan!

The food Is really good and you can find here some taste of hysterical tradition. But what is also nice and interesting is the space. There is an amazing outdoor and a really fine indoor. Really appreciate also the capacity of suggestion. The location is quite close, in walking distance area, to central station. I suggest to go and foelr who was just going in the past, to return again.

And the staff really thank you for your professional kind hospitality and your very friendly support.. We had a lot of children with us and made a lot of noise but thank God Noone complained 🤣🤣 (I hope so) 😅 We ordered as follows: -Filetto di manzo con salsa al gorgonzola oppure alla griglia servito con patate al forno -Ossobuco di vitello in Gremolada e pure di patate -Filetto di branzino gratinato e pure al limone

This place is alone on an empty block but inside, it's pure gold. The staff is friendly and super helpful. The food, though, is everything I love about Italian osteria. We had a smoked duck breast appetizer that deserves special mention. Each dish had a little something extra about it and honestly, their risotto is life-changing. Just go.

The best thing to do is to make a reservation in the backyard of this restaurant. This place did not excite me at all at the first entrance, but when we went to the backyard, it took on a completely different atmosphere. The starters and appetizers are very successful. For the main course, I ordered fish but meat would have been a better option. Service is fast and attentive. Crowded groups usually filled the tables. You can choose this place with peace of mind.

Delicious food in a calm, beautiful setting in the garden seating area. Our waiter was pleasant and made great suggestions. We went at lunchtime and service was quick. Food was well seasoned and I enjoyed the Tiramisu.

This place was definitely worth the visit. They may not have the longest opening hours but it's absolutely worth it to come in for a bite to eat. First off the atmosphere was so beautiful, didn't really feel like I was inside a restaurant when sitting outside under the leaves and lights. The server we had was very funny, and was extremely kind and patient with us, always ready to help us when we needed. The food itself was extremely delicious, highly recommend the osso bucco with Milanese risotto. The only restaurant in Italy where I didn't mind paying a caperto.

The service was great here. Our server was always attentive and there was always someone around to help as well. We started with the prosciutto and bresaola which were both great, the melon was particularly delicious because it was a hot evening and it was really juicy and refreshing. The spaghetti with anchovies and truffle was delicious with a soft creamy sauce that held it together perfectly. The Milanese was delicious but huge, we couldn’t finish it after eating the pasta. They had a really interesting green apple ice cream which I highly recommend you try. I would definitely come back here.

Locale situato in zona stazione centrale ma che al suo interno e' in grado di farti dimenticare che ti trovi nel centro di Milano. Le immagini parlano da sole e la location con questo giardino coperto tutto illuminato e' assolutamente stupenda. Da qui pero' tocca passare ai lati negativi. I prezzi sono elevati, non tanto per la qualita' ma per la quantita' offerta. Da una trattoria storica milanese non dico che mi immagino porzioni abbondanti ma almeno, per quanto concerne il piatto unico con ossobuco e risotto alla milanese, mi aspetto che per 32 euro sia saziante. Purtroppo mi sono ritrovato con un piccolo ossobuchino ed un misero mezzo mestolo di risotto allo zafferano, che delusione dato che era molto saporito! Al contrario l' antipasto "tagliere misto cavallini" e' stato abbondante e lo si puo' tranquillamente dividere in due. I salumi non sono proprio da togliere il fiato ed i formaggi si limitano ad un pezzo di parmigiano ma insalata russa e gardiniera in compenso molto buone entrambe. Se posso permettermi magari il parmigiano sarebbe meglio servirlo non intero ma in scaglie piu' piccole (un blocco unico duro e' difficile da dividere), ed i salumi affettarli piu' sottili. Sui dolci non mi permetto di dire nulla, buonissimi. Per concludere, servizio molto cordiale e professionale, ci siamo trovati bene, unico dettaglio e' che nei sabato sera affollati serve magari farsi notare per ricevere il menu', ordinare o chiedere il pane. Se non fosse che Milano sta diventando intoccabile a livello di prezzi e che questo ristorante, come tutti gli altri della citta', si debba giustamente adeguare ad i prezzi della concorrenza, probabilmente avrei elencato solo le positivita' e tralasciato i difetti. Ma vista la circostanza e visto il conto mi permetto di sottolineare cosa ho trovato poco piacevole dato che ad elevati prezzi mi aspetto un alto livello di esperienza.

L’ambiente del ristorante ricorda un po’ la vecchia Milano con un bel giardino interno. Abbiamo mangiato pesce con la tartare di tonno molto buona, mentre il risotto ai frutti di mare, se vogliamo trovare un difetto, sapeva un po’ troppo di brodo quindi non è stato risottato alla perfezione. Buono anche il dolce.

Restaurante buono, ma il servizio potrebbe essere più attento. Vieni subito domandato topo il secondo se gradisci un dolce senza guardare se abbiamo già finito la bottiglia di vino. Poi in tutto il tempo che siamo qui, non è mai stato versato del vino dalla bottiglia nel bicchiere, ci siamo dovuti versare il vino da soli! I piatti sono buoni, tagliatelle buonissimi fatti in casa. La lista del vino e bella e molto differenziata.

Posto carinissimo, personale attento e disponibile. Benissimo gli antipasti: tataki e polpette I primi purtroppo non ci hanno fatto impazzire: cacio e pepe dove purtroppo il cacio non era il protagonista e risotto allo zafferano che sapeva molto di olio, sicuramente buono al gusto ma non ciò che mi aspettavo. Benissimo i secondi con un vitel tonne davvero buono e ben presentato e dolci spaziali..la zuppa inglese ha davvero qualcosa da raccontare..in generale un' ottima esperienza con un prezzo accessibile Speso 130 con una mezza di vino. Tornerò ma proverò più secondi.. in vetrina delle t bone frollate che promettevano Benissimo!

Fama che lo precede giustamente meritata,ambiente suggestivo come ti aspetti da un locale storico.. Se ha superato decenni è perché sanno lavorare. Nonostante il menu sia decisamente vasto, in 3 abbiamo preso molte cose diverse, tutte di ottima qualità. Menzione speciale per la tartare di ricciola alla lavanda. Era la vigilia di Natale, siamo stati accolti e coccolati anche piu del dovuto. Considerando la data speciale non ho dato troppo peso al conto un po salato ma la qualità va pagata, soprattutto se garantita anche a Natale. Se posso dire la mia cotoletta, per quanto buona, mi è sembrato un po' piccola. Tutto il resto sora le aspettative. Bravi!

The food was nice, but nothing memorable to be honest. I was expecting more options, especially for pastas. Attention was ok, and the terrace at the back is very nice, that was probably the best. They were also very nice to accommodate us without reservation. Finally, I found it a bit abusive to charge 4 EUR for cutlery per person, I guess it is the common practice, but it is absurd IMO.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Milan. The restaurant is located close to centrale and serves good fish and meat options. Exclusive collection of wine and the ambience is incredible. The have large seating including a garden behind and suitable for larger groups as well. Make sure to always reserve a table before.

We were the first ones to arrive and clearly didn’t look like the typical local crowd, which seemed to draw some stares. Our waiter didn’t offer a seat to my wife, though I noticed he did for other women who arrived later. When I mentioned we don’t drink, he responded with a surprised “wow” and a laugh—it was clear we weren’t especially welcome. That said, the head waiter was a bright spot: friendly, conversational, and professional. When I complimented the restaurant, he jokingly said it wasn’t his—probably part of why he’s in charge. The food was good, but not particularly memorable. Watching how other tables were treated made the contrast in service even more noticeable. Disappointing, but not entirely unexpected.

The food and atmosphere were truly excellent. However, it was unfortunate that the process of settling the bill was significantly delayed. While I understand that the restaurant was busy, I had to ask for the check twice, and even then, I ended up waiting for about 30 minutes without any response. In the end, I went to the payment counter myself and completed the transaction with my card. I sincerely hope the staff will take this experience as constructive feedback and work to improve in the future.

Location incantevole , buon cibo e buon servizio. Unica nota negativa il cameriere che ha preso l ordinazione del vino. Ho chiesto un Chianti classico, 32 euro in carta. La risposta è stata posso consigliare un Franz Hass? Bottiglia da 59 euro. Trovo questo atteggiamento davvero scorretto ed al limite del truffaldino. Per colpa del cameriere hanno perso un cliente. Peccato perché il locale merita assolutamente.

Locale carino con addobbi natalizi apprezzabili; cibo di buona qualità senza distinguersi per bontà. Diciamo nella norma. Se poi rapportato al prezzo ci si aspetta molto di più. In tutta onestà non ci tornerei. Per quanto speso ci sono locali dove si mangia molto meglio.

Abbiamo scelto questo ristorante per festeggiare un compleanno e, a primo impatto, il posto sembrava davvero bellissimo. Eravamo in otto e avevamo voglia di passare una serata tranquilla e piacevole… purtroppo non è andata così. Una mia amica ha ordinato un risotto ai gamberi: sul menù erano indicati solo “gamberi e crostacei”, ma il piatto sapeva soltanto di lime/limone, tanto da coprire completamente il resto degli ingredienti. Alle 23:30 chiedo un tiramisù e mi viene risposto che il ragazzo dei dessert era già andato via. Nessuno ci aveva avvisato che la cucina fosse in chiusura e, onestamente, mettere un tiramisù già pronto in un piattino non richiede certo uno chef. Il momento peggiore, però, è stato alle 23:45, quando il responsabile di sala è arrivato con il POS per farci pagare proprio mentre la festeggiata stava aprendo i regali. Abbiamo chiesto se potessimo rimanere fino a mezzanotte per fare gli auguri, e la risposta è stata: “Noi facciamo festeggiare i compleanni il giorno del compleanno, perché a mezzanotte dobbiamo chiudere.” Risultato: 70 euro spesi senza alcuna soddisfazione. Li avrei spesi volentieri, ma purtroppo la classe e la cortesia non si possono comprare.

Location molto bella, tipica atmosfera Milanese. Qualità del cibo da rivedere, costoletta quasi lessa da quanto era annegata nell’olio. Ok per i turisti ma sconsiglio per chi si aspetta di trovare la cucina autentica milanese.

Sono rimasta profondamente delusa da questo ristorante. Avevo ordinato un risotto con gamberi e bisque di crostacei, ma ciò che mi è arrivato era tutt’altro: un piatto che sapeva quasi esclusivamente di limone, tanto da coprire completamente qualsiasi sapore di mare; lontanissimo da quanto descritto nel menu, che non nominava affatto il limone (o lime). E come se non bastasse, siamo state praticamente cacciate fuori dal locale con modi decisamente sgradevoli, senza alcun motivo che giustificasse un comportamento del genere. Alle 23:40 ci è stato detto, con un tono arrogante, che “a mezzanotte dovevano essere a casa” e che non potevano certo aspettare che festeggiassimo un compleanno.

La sera prima del mio compleanno i miei amici hanno organizzato una festa a sorpresa per me in questo ristorante, l'obbiettivo era cenare e tirare la mezzanotte per farmi gli auguri. Ero già stata una volta e mi ero trovata benissimo, questa volta però sono stati molto maleducati. Al cibo diamo la sufficienza, i camerieri molto molto simpatici e disponibili. Sul sito del ristorante c’è scritto che avrebbe chiuso a mezzanotte, prendiamo i dolci alle 23, alle 23:20 circa chiediamo un altro tiramisù per un’amica che ha deciso di prenderlo dopo di noi (dolce già fatto dentro al barattolino, solo da tirare fuori dal frigo), ci viene detto che “il ragazzo dei dolci se n’è andato quindi non è possibile”. Alle 23:50 mentre stavo aprendo i regali passa un simpatico signore in giacca e cravatta con il pos in mano chiedendo in malo modo di pagare perché avrebbero dovuto chiudere in quel momento perché “c’è ne dobbiamo andare a casa”, facciamo presente che però sul sito la chiusura è alla mezzanotte e lui con arroganza ci risponde “da noi siamo abituati a festeggiare il compleanno il giorno stesso, non il giorno prima”. Ho lavorato in un ristorante e se c’è scritto che la chiusura è alle 24, alle 24 le persone escono e poi si pulisce il locale o altrimenti se proprio si ha urgenza di chiudere si chiede con gentilezza ai commensali di accomodarsi all’uscita, di certo non ci si pone in questo modo. Comunque c’erano anche altre persone all’interno della sala, per 10 minuti non credo sarebbe cambiato qualcosa. Quindi paghiamo, io finisco di scartare i miei regali in mezzo alla strada e da fuori vediamo che all’interno sempre il simpatico signore passa davanti a noi e fa il gesto con la mano come per mandarci a quel paese probabilmente parlando male di noi con qualcuno all’interno. Eravamo in 9, 9 clienti persi. A mai più 👋
