after some homemade bread & prosecco on the house and pulpo salad as an apertizer we had a pizza Napoli and Risotto for the main dish. we enjoyed a great bottle of Ornellaia Le Volte wine. after some espressi the owner offered us even a limoncello. the service was excellent and the food delicious. Had a wonderful dinner the night before we left Milan. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the good food and hospitality from the restaurant. Every single dish was done well with the perfect blend of ingredients and spices. Prices were reasonable and the home-made bread was delicious too! We were well taken care of throughout the meal and I highly recommend this place as a must-stop for one of your meals in Milan! Do not miss!

We arrived at about 7pm and were led to a lovely table in the courtyard. Our table of 4 ordered a Prawn, Cherry Tomato & Arugula (Rocket) salad, a starter of Clams & Mussels, Grilled Seabass, Steak with Porcini Mushrooms, Swordfish in Tomato Sauce, and Spaghetti Vongole. We also had a side dish of Grilled Vegetables. The bread was made in-house and it was so flavourful and fragrant. Dessert was Tiramisu and Apple Tart with Vanilla Ice cream. All the dishes were excellent! I have had Spaghetti Vongole in lots of places in Italy and everywhere, and I think this place had the Gold Standard! The Spaghetti was classically "al dente" with just the right amount of "bite", the sauce was very flavourful with perfect seasoning and nicely emulsified. When all this comes together so well, it's just perfect 👌. The restaurant manager was also so hospitable, witty and generous. This was a truly wonderful meal and a fantastic example of the warmth, hospitality and culinary excellence in Milan. Highly recommended!

This is one of my go to restaurants every time I am here in Milan on business, food is amazing, choices are excellent and some very nice wine offerings plus chilled beer. Don’t leave without trying the Tiramisu 😋 The courtyard here is so nice to eat outside.

Nicholas is a waiter at Osteria Fara. He gets customer service. Lots of little things to enhance our evening there. From complementary Prosecco when we arrived, to a free Limoncello when our meal was complete, Nicholas was making sure we had a good experience. We started our meal with a cold seafood antipasto. We ordered a trio of items including oysters, prawns, and crayfish. Oysters were excellent, the others were not our thing. We ordered the risotto Milanese and the Grilled sea bass for our primi and secondi and added the asparagus as a contorini. The risotto was absolutely perfect. I could have eaten more of it (the portion sizes were perfect. I was just hungry). We had gelato and the torta di mele for dessert. Skip the creme brulee and tiramisu you will be inclined to order. The apple cake was so good (served warm with vanilla ice cream on the side). If you're staying at the Milan Hilton, it's a five minute walk and safe for singles to journey on their own. Check them out, worth the trip!

After working for a classically trained master chef in college, I had high hopes for my first dinner in Milan. There are a bunch of trendy, nice places in the area, and it makes it difficult to choose. While walking by and looking at the menu, en route to another place I had researched, a gentleman greeted me outside, who was super friendly and inviting, and I will choose that any day of the week. He walked me inside and everything was absolutely perfect. As other reviews note, he sat me with a glass of sparkling wine, immediately brought out some amazing bread with a spiced olive oil, and was very hospitable. I ordered a Caprese and the bolognese, wanting a very traditionally experience and I was not disappointed. Personally would have used more balsamic redux and placed it on the salad, but to each their own. The pasta was fabulous, and when I was finished, true to what I had been taught, he provided a wonderfully tart, strong, and sweet limoncello. I could not have be n happier.

Passando da questa via ciò che ti colpisce maggiormente è il cortiletto, dev'essere bello mangiare lì nella bella stagione. È un ristorante con del potenziale. All'ingresso fermatevi un attimo a vedere le etichette dei vini, ce ne sono alcune davvero interessanti. Il menù è variegato (terra, mare, pizza), con dei piatti lombardi e dei classici italiani e i prezzi sono medii. Il personale è gentile, si sente aria di convivialitá. Quando ti siedi ti offrono un flute di un buon prosecco e nell'attesa una buona e abbondante focaccia calda. Ho optato per un classico: risotto alla milanese. Molto buono, riso cotto giusto. L'unico neo è stato il calice di vino, 6€ (un po' caro) per un vino non buono (il cameriere non ha fatto vedere l'etichetta né ha detto il tipo di vino versato). Tirando le somme: - cibo: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - servizio: ⭐⭐⭐ - location: ⭐⭐⭐ - conto: 18,50€ ⭐⭐⭐ - normative anti-covid: controllo del green pass, presenza del gel disinfettante, tavoli distanziati.

Locale turistico, cibo discreto, ambiente carino, servizio ottimo, unica pecca a mio avviso la focaccia che servono al posto del pane alquanto "stopposa" piuttosto pesante, a parte questo lo consiglierei, prezzo abbordabile per la zona.

Pranzo di lavoro tra colleghi. Né bene né male. La qualità del cibo è nella norma ma sicuramente non eccelsa. Il personale è spesso scorbutico e di fretta a servire le molte persone che a frotte inondano il locale per la veloce pausa pranzo alla milanese. Sicuramente però non mi è piaciuta la cameriera che gridava ed era arrabbiata perché ci abbiamo messo un po' a decidere cosa prendere. La cucina è celere e in poco tempo ti ritrovi il tuo piatto fumante sul tavolo. Le porzioni della pasta sono generose ma alcuni condimenti non sono così buoni. La pizza non è delle migliori ma ho visto anche molto molto peggio. Birra alla spina anonima e senza gusto. L'ambiente non è nulla di eccessivo e non si distingue per nulla. Per una pizza e una birra media ho speso 15€ che tutto sommato a Milano vicino a centrale mi vanno anche bene. Probabilmente tornerò perché è vicino all'ufficio e per un pasto veloce e decente ci sta.

Premetto che vado abitualmente a cena in ristoranti cinesi, di cui apprezzo la cucina e l’ambiente. Premetto anche che avrei scritto lo stesso tipo di recensione se fossi stata in un ristorante cinese gestito da italiani, con cuochi italiani (o comunque non cinesi). Detto ciò, per correttezza vorrei segnalare che, benché si presenti come ristorante tipicamente italiano, non lo è affatto: è un ristorante cinese (gestito da cinesi, con cuochi e pizzaiolo cinesi) che prova a cucinare piatti tipicamente italiani, con scarsi risultati. Credo che sarebbe più onesto dichiararlo nella propria presentazione! Perché se quella sera scelgo un ristorante italiano e una cena squisitamente italiana, mi aspetto di trovare italianità in tutto e per tutto! Che qui invece viene utilizzata come presentazione, ma in modo ingannevole. Stesso discorso varrebbe se scegliessi qualunque altro tipo di cucina etnica. In ogni caso, da Osteria Fara la qualità del cibo è scarsa e il personale di sala (italiano) molto scortese.

Sarà che siamo andati nel giorno sbagliato, sarà che abbiamo preferito pizze e carne alla carta anziché il menu del giorno, sarà anche stata la giornata per il personale ma.. Veramente una brutta esperienza culinaria, purtroppo. Pizza orrenda: non brutta, orrenda! Passabile per la fame e buonissima (???) per i nostri amici svedesi, ma da italiano posso dirvi che era davvero brutta. Carne di per sé non male, qualità nella media, ma davvero cotta male e con il grasso non sciolto bene. Peccato, vi darò un'altra chance tra qualche mese, spero mi stupirete!

Lo staff è gentile e molto bravo a vendere i «prodotti», su questo niente da dire. Ma i piatti sono chiaramente pensati per i turisti e non hanno nulla a che vedere con una vera cucina italiana. Spaghetti alle vongole con aceto balsamico è una proposta assolutamente inconcepibile. Non capisco come si possa presentare un piatto del genere come “tipico”. Una delusione totale per chi cerca autenticità …

Fatico a comprendere come questo ristorante possa avere un punteggio così alto, probabilmente è dovuto al fatto che segnalano le recensioni basse (la mia infatti inizialmente ha avuto una risposta da loro e dopo diversi mesi ho ricevuto la mail che era stata cancellata). La qualità del cibo è decisamente deludente (pessima!) e il locale è gestito da personale piuttosto sbrigativo e non italiano. Inoltre, molti dei piatti presenti sia sul menù online che sulla lavagna all'ingresso risultano indisponibili. L'offerta reale si riduce a una decina di piatti, alcuni dei quali evidentemente surgelati. Un’esperienza che purtroppo non ha rispettato le aspettative.

Siamo in due persone e decidiamo di prendere una pizza ed un pacchero panna speck e zafferano, con 2 calici di vino uno bianco ed uno rosso. Tutti e 2 annacquati,facciamo presente al cameriere che con gentilezza li cambia. Arriva la pizza ma il pacchero arriva dopo un 25 minuti,praticamente il tempo che ha finito la pizza il mio amico ho iniziato io a mangiare, tra l altro pacchero tiepidino. Ma io dico, se siamo venuti in 2 è perché ci fa piacere mangiare insieme,non guardare l altro mangiare altrimenti mi mettevo in un tavolino singolo. Dovrebbero saperlo sia i ristoratori sia i camerieri. Non è possibile che ci sia ancora questa mancanza di accorgimento. Morale della favola? Non mi vede più ,molto semplice
