Food was well above Michelin standards but the atmosphere was relaxed and we had a great time with our waiter. We did not feel like we had to be quiet or do everything exactly the right way. We went for a lot of the expensive menu items, but in my opinion I think it was worth it. The linguine and scorpion fish were unbelievably good. Best pasta and cooked fish we have ever had.

The entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for the meal. It started with a delicious amuse-bouche, followed by the lobster linguini, which was well-balanced, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Siamo appassionati di cucina e frequentiamo regolarmente ristoranti di alta qualità, sia in Italia che all’estero. Proprio per questo, ci siamo recati da Da Giacomo con aspettative alte, incuriositi dalla fama del locale. Purtroppo, l’esperienza complessiva è stata deludente, soprattutto in rapporto ai prezzi richiesti. Abbiamo ordinato capesante gratinate, ostriche, gnocchetti alla Giacomo, tortelli cacio e pepe e un crudo di gambero rosso con lime e bottarga. I piatti, per quanto ben presentati, non sono stati accompagnati da alcuna spiegazione o introduzione da parte del personale. In un ristorante dove ogni portata parte da un minimo di 30 euro, ci aspettiamo non solo attenzione al dettaglio, ma anche un racconto del piatto, delle sue materie prime e della sua composizione. Questo elemento è mancato completamente, facendo percepire il servizio come frettoloso e impersonale. Inoltre, durante la cena, abbiamo trovato un capello in uno dei piatti. Un episodio grave e inaccettabile in qualsiasi contesto, a maggior ragione in un ristorante che ambisce a posizionarsi nella fascia alta. Anche la location non è risultata all’altezza delle aspettative: i tavoli sono molto ravvicinati, privando completamente l’ambiente di quell’atmosfera esclusiva che ci si aspetta da un ristorante di questo livello. Più che un’esperienza raffinata, sembrava un servizio "di passaggio", privo della cura e dell’intimità che dovrebbe caratterizzare un luogo simile. Concludendo, non mettiamo in dubbio la qualità delle materie prime, ma l’esperienza non ha giustificato il prezzo pagato. Non torneremo, e non ci sentiamo di consigliarlo.

Bel posto, però molto caro e porzioni piccolissime

Nulla da dire sul servizio e la qualità del cibo che per carità merita, ma far pagare 16 euro 1 calice di fiano di Avellino (più della bottiglia) ,mi sembra un tantino esagerato. Bisognerebbe servire cio che il cliente compra. Se mi fai pagare 16 euro, mi aspetto un fiano di avellino exultet o livello superiore. Sul cibo non ho da dire nulla. I tortelli erano davvero buoni.

Atmosfera accogliente, cibo buono ma nulla di speciale, sovraprezzato a parer mio. Inoltre abbiamo atteso a lungo i primi piatti, siamo stati serviti dopo dei clienti che sono arrivati in seguito a noi. Staff gentile e disponibile, comprensivi soprattutto per la questione celiachia

Undoubtedly they use excellent ingredients in this historical Milan restaurant. The recipes, while not adventurous, are not banal or routine and vaunt a touch of modernity and creativity. It is a sort of elevated and refined trattoria. However, the execution skills are not always in line with the quality of the ingredients. Notable failures were the (over)cooking of pasta in otherwise good and tasty tortelli ("cacio e pepe" with raw red prawns, lime and bottarga) and spaghetti with clams. A grouper, fresh and pleasant, was advertised as "crispy" but wasn't. A seafood fritto misto was the only perfectly executed dish. Because patisserie needs precision and here they don't shine in that department, we skipped desserts. The rooms and decor are beautiful and atmospheric. This is a large place with many people. Service is friendly but not always attentive and sometimes slightly chaotic, probably the same as things work in the cuisine. The result was a good but not outstanding meal. While I don't regret the experience, and portions are unusually generous at this level, at these prices I'm not sure a return would be worth the while.

Sono stato domenica 9/11/25 speso 110€ a testa. Tartar di tonno misera e senza gusto, Spaghetti alle vongole nella media e Fritto misto scarso visto il posto Diciamo che mi aspettavo molto di più. Ero stato un paio di volte al Bistrot e ero rimasto più contento. Manca la mano del padrone e un po’ più di cura e qualità nei piatti non so se tornerò.

Esperienza non positiva: servizio distratto, pane quasi raffermo, porzioni microscopiche per prezzi esagerati. Acustica davvero scarsa, molto difficile conversare. Posto storico di Milano ma non so se tornerei.

Dico solo: vi arriva il conto con una penna e la dicitura TIPS sullo scontrino. Ho detto tutto dell’esperienza che ci si può aspettare. Servizio frettoloso per garantire doppio turno ai tavoli. Puro business, non ristorazione.

Esperienza deludente e inaccettabile. Abbiamo speso oltre 100€ a testa, con tavoli talmente ravvicinati da non avere neanche lo spazio per muoversi. Il cibo è stato mediocre, decisamente non all’altezza dei prezzi proposti. Avevamo segnalato in anticipo un’allergia al lattosio — informazione confermata anche al momento dell’ordine — ma non è stata minimamente considerata. Per un compleanno non sono riusciti a proporre neanche un dessert senza lattosio, e addirittura hanno portato la candelina su un cannoncino alla crema… ovviamente non consumabile dalla festeggiata. Prezzi fuori mercato (un semplice calice di vino a 16€), servizio disattento e nessuna cura per le esigenze dei clienti. Pessima esperienza: non torneremo e sconsigliamo vivamente.

The food here is absolutely not deserving of the high price tags attached to them. I had the linguine lobster, whilst my mother had the spaghetti pomodoro and the “Pavlova” for the dessert. The two pastas were of inferior quality tastewise and my linguine was still hard in the middle, and the pavlova was made of cream, not meringue. Still tasteless. The service left much to be desired, we had put in the reservation that this was a special occasion and they did not mention anything. They did thankfully remove the pavlova from the bill, but overall this was a poor dining experience.
