I've ordered from Deliveroo several times and the experience has always been excellent. The pizza arrives hot and perfectly intact. It's surprisingly easy to digest, much more so than many other Milanese pizzas by the slice. The dough is well-made and the ingredients are high-quality. I highly recommend Ortobello and Giallorosso (the stracciatella is truly excellent).

I've been waiting for Filante to open in the area for a while. I'd heard great things about it, and I love pizza by the slice. The place isn't huge, but it's cozy and not noisy, which is just right for my tastes. The staff is young, fast, courteous, and knowledgeable. Spectacular pizza: soft, crispy on the bottom, and with a good balance of tomato and mozzarella (I tried the generous slice of Margherita). I passed the nighttime digestive test with flying colors! 😁 I was hesitating whether to post a review or not because if things continue like this, it'll be hard to find a free table. 👏

Don't be fooled by the menu. The slice isn't small, but it's the equivalent of a "large" pizza. The pizzas are very "cheesy," hence the name. One caveat: If you like thin pizza, this isn't the place for you.

I had already tried Filante, my first experience at the Porta Genova location. I think it was the best pizza by the slice I've ever eaten. That's why we decided to repeat the experience, this time at the Sempione location. We were quite disappointed. First of all, the slow and inattentive service. The waiters, in my opinion, were inexperienced. You can't forget a beer, leave it there for 5 minutes on the counter, and then bring it to us a bit warmed up (they could have, or rather, should have, changed it). And there were only two of them working there; they could have managed the dining room better, given that it's a place with limited seating. Another note: the staff should also know how to set the table. It's indecent to look at the glasses to my left and not my right (these are the bases). The pizza was good, but the dough is slightly different, being lighter than the one at Porta Genova, and the crust less crispy. Also, it's worth mentioning that a lot of smoke wafted into the dining room from the kitchen, which wasn't very pleasant. What I'd simply like to say is that it's not enough to pretend to be considerate by asking us 5 or 6 times if everything was okay. I would have appreciated it much more if the staff had acknowledged their mistakes and apologized. More awareness and less feigned attentiveness.
