Despite the great influx of tourist clientèle, & physical growth accordingly, this place has retained the atmosphere and the type and quality of food of an authentic Tuscan osteria. Food is superb. It is definitely a meat place and all of it from the Tuscan bovine race Chianina (pronounced Kianina). This is quite a rare meat with an amazing texture and an even more amazing flavour. Come hungry and go for a Bistecca Fiorentina (the Florentine équivalent of a T-bone) for one (that would be somewhere between 500 & 600 g of meat on a pretty large rib or share a bigger one with a partner. If gnawing at a bone is not up your alley, go for a Tagliata which is slices of roasted sirloin. Exquisit! This is NOT the right place to ask for your meat "well-done"! The side dishes are all delicious and present justified excuses for returning. Desserts are also very good but the Tiramisu is sublime for those whose serious meals have to end with something sweet. Wines are good, mostly Tuscan and very affordable Service is not as efficient as one might like but the quality of the food largely compensates for it. When full (most evenings and lunchtime during weekends or holidays) the place is rather on the noisy side but it's all on the account of the pleasure of eating and drinking. Expect a 3 course meal to set you back 40 to 50 € per person including wine. Being nice with the waiting personnel might land you with a fabulous Grappa "on the house". The place is slightly off-centre so either you take public transportation (tram 24 from city centre) or a cab. On top of usual parking issues in big cities in general and Milano in particular, you should not be in sobre driving condition by the end of the meal. If basic Italian is an issue, ask someone for help in booking the table. It's worthwhile avoiding the disappointment of polite refusal.

We moved to Milan a few months ago and this has been one of our favorite restaurants. Excellent quality food! The stew with polenta was perfect for a chilly November day. And, the polenta was some of the most flavorful I have had in ages. 3/4- I’ve been back several times since the original review and this place NEVER disappoints! You have to try the special Fiorintina steak. OMG- the best cooked and flavorful steak I’ve had in years. 23/6- I came and had the steak again! It’s sooo good!

Defo recommend - food is delicious. Book ahead best. Opens 7.15 at night. Tiramisu is to die for. What more can I say!

Trattoria La Cantinetta è un posto alla mano che conquista con una cucina tradizionale ben fatta. L’ambiente è quello tipico di una vera trattoria: vivace e conviviale, a tratti un po’ caotico ma autentico e accogliente. Come antipasto abbiamo provato le polpette della casa, soddisfacenti e gustose, mentre il crostino al ragù ci ha convinto un po’ meno. Tra i piatti principali spicca senza dubbio la tagliata con funghi porcini, carne sottile e di qualità che si scioglie in bocca. Ottima anche la cotoletta alla milanese, preparata secondo tradizione. A chiudere, un tiramisù confortevole, perfetto per concludere il pasto. Una trattoria sincera, ideale per chi cerca sapori autentici e una cucina senza fronzoli ma di qualità.

Ho visitato più volte la Cantinetta, situata all'inizio di Via Ripamonti, e la trovo un'opzione eccellente per gli amanti della carne. La location è molto comoda e il locale ha un'atmosfera tipicamente dedicata agli amanti della carne. Ogni visita è un piacere culinario, in particolare per la fiorentina, servita in porzioni generose da 1.2/1.4 kg, sempre alla perfezione. Anche gli antipasti, come la tartare e il carpaccio, sono di alta qualità. La fiorentina, inoltre, ha un prezzo veramente competitivo. I primi piatti sono buoni, anche se non eccezionali, ma la carne è definitivamente la star del menù. Non assegno cinque stelle principalmente a causa del servizio, che necessita di qualche miglioramento. I camerieri sono efficienti ma a volte possono apparire poco accomodanti. Ad esempio, personalmente, preferisco la carne al sangue e qui viene cucinata magnificamente secondo questa preferenza. Tuttavia, ho notato che i camerieri tendono a insistere su come la carne dovrebbe essere cucinata, spesso rifiutandosi di accettare richieste di cottura più avanzata da parte dei clienti. Credo fermamente che il desiderio di un cliente di avere la carne più cotta debba essere rispettato, mantenendo un approccio flessibile e orientato alla soddisfazione del cliente. Un altro punto da rivedere è l'attesa per il conto, che spesso supera i 15 minuti, e la fila alla cassa, sempre affollata e posizionata in un punto che congestiona il locale. Nonostante questi aspetti, il cibo è sempre stato impeccabile, meritando pienamente quattro stelle.

La Trattoria La Cantinetta è un vero gioiellino a conduzione familiare, dove si respira un’atmosfera autentica e accogliente. Il personale è estremamente simpatico e cordiale, sempre pronto a far sentire ogni ospite come a casa. La loro specialità? Sicuramente la carne! In particolare la tagliata, una specialità imperdibile che da sola vale la visita! La cucina è semplice ma di grande qualità, fedele alla tradizione e ricca di sapori genuini. L’ambiente è caratteristico, perfetto per chi cerca una cena o un pranzo all’insegna della convivialità. Attenzione però: essendo molto frequentato, è quasi sempre pieno e trovare parcheggio può essere un po’ complicato. Prenotare è assolutamente indispensabile.

La dimostrazione che quando uno è capace e sceglie prodotti di qualità non ha bisogno di ambienti particolarmte pregiati! Bravi ottima carne, tra le più buone che abbia mangiato, fiorentina top e tagliata super! Unica nota un pò più di cordialità nel servizio non guasterebbe, il cameriere scocciato perché ritardavamo con la comanda e stato molto fastidioso!

Trattoria alla buona, senza troppi giri su estetica o l'apparire. Conta la bontà dei piatti! E su questo sono davvero bravi. La carne é eccezionale, succosa, si scioglieva in bocca. Abbiamo provato sia la fiorentina che il filetto al pepe verde. Buone e senza spendere troppo! Buono anche il tiramisù, classico con scaglie di cioccolato. Il cameriere con la barba rossa molto simpatico. Consiglio a chi vuole mangiare una bella e buona fetta di carne!

The food was delicious! We ordered the T-bone steak without realizing how big it was..it turned out to be 1.8kg for just €90, which was incredibly reasonable. The funghi risotto was excellent, and the potatoes were just as tasty. Highly recommended

Visitato venerdì 5/7/24 a pranzo. 3 commensali. Menu: tagliata con rucola, fiorentina per 2 persone, patate arrosto e verdure e con polpette offerte dalla casa come benvenuto. Esperienza eccelente da 5 stelle. Personale di sala ottimo. Servizio veloce. Prezzo adeguato. Purtroppo, come capitato a qualcuno altro, nella nottata e giorno successivo tutti 3 commensali hanno avuto disturbi intestinali. Mi piacerebbe dare una 2 possibilità ,ma solo mangereccia, ma sono un po' frenato.

Un buon compromesso per una pausa pranzo veloce. La carne discreta(ma non era una tagliata come scritto in menùma bensì del roastbeef). Il cameriere un tantino troppo "confidenziale". Ambiente pulito ma parecchio stretto.

Il locale è piccolo e abbastanza rumoroso, il cameriere (non il ragazzo bergamasco che sembra pure simpatico) è sgarbato, frettoloso, poca attenzione e cura del cliente. Il cibo è anche discretamente buono ma per me non vale la pena. Rapporto qualità/quantità-prezzo per me non ci siamo.

Accoglienza scarsa , Ambiente Stretto Scomodo e molto Rumoroso , cibo nella media. Al nostro arrivo ci hanno fatto accomodare in un tavolo che era attaccato ad un altro in cui cenava una coppia. Per sedersi bisognava muoversi in mezzo ai tavoli stretti già occupati. Il menù è vario ma i prezzi sono alti rispetto alla media. Il cibo è discreto porzioni non molto abbondanti, nulla che colpisca veramente. Sconsigliato

Locale datato, tavoli attaccati tra loro e piccoli. Molto caos e cameriere che urla quando prende le ordinazioni. Personale scortese. La Fiorentina era dura, cruda e fredda all’interno. L’esterno sapeva di carbonella. Contorni con porzioni minuscole. Conto salato.

Sono stata a cena ieri sera e ho preso una Fiorentina. Esperienza deludente. Non c’è assolutamente attenzione al cliente. Abbiamo provato a chiedere di cambiare sala, perché ci hanno messo in un angolino con i tavoli tutti attaccati tra di loro. Il cibo? Qualità Scadente. La fiorentina sapeva di carbonella e le verdure grigliate erano 3 di numero: un zucchina, un pomodoro e una cipolla. Il cameriere è stato molto carino, ma veniva continuamente rimproverato dalla proprietaria. Alle 21 in punto la signora ci ha fatto alzare perché alle 21.30 iniziava il secondo turno. Non torneremo più.

Extremely unfriendly to everyone that is not Italian. They already took our plate, when we weren’t even done eating. DONOT GO THERE! I would not recommend this restaurant for young students, because they won’t treat you right. Adding to that, the wine served was way too warm.
