Che scoperta straordinaria Il Cestino in Brera! Sono passato a trovare il mio amico Agostino e ho assaggiato una frittura di pesce semplicemente strepitosa: croccante al punto giusto, leggera, fragrante e con un sapore di mare autentico, di quelli che ti restano impressi. Il locale unisce l’eleganza di Brera a un’atmosfera calda e genuina, il servizio è attento senza mai essere invadente, e si percepisce la passione in ogni dettaglio. Un posto che ti fa venir voglia di tornare già mentre stai ancora mangiando. Complimenti davvero: qualità, cuore e gusto al top. Super consigliato! 🔝🐟🍋

Siamo passati davanti al ristorante ieri Sera accolti com gentilezza e cortesia da Peppino. Era la prima volta che mangiavamo al cestino . Ottimo cibo ed ottimo vino consigliati entrambe da uno dei camerieri più professionali e preparati visti a Milano negli ultimi periodi visto che passo a Milano 20 giorni su trenta per lavoro e di ristoranti ne vediamo tanti io e mia moglie. Ossobuco con risotto consigliato Ed il nero D avola proposto al calice buona selezione. Da provare la prossima volta la pizza Ambiente luminoso e ben tenuto Servizio professionale a d organizzato Cibo fresco e ben cucinato

Mi sono recato in Ristorante, grazie ad un pacchetto con Boscolo Experience. Il Ristorante è nella zona di Brera. Il ristorante si presenta eleganti con spazi piccoli ed accoglienti. Il menù è ben fornito con una qualità degli alimenti alta. Buon servizio con il ragazzo che è stato gentile e disponibile alle nostre richieste. Consigliato per avere un'esperienza di italianità al 100%.

Fin dal momento della prenotazione, ho trovato persone molto gentili e disponibili. Hanno risolto in modo molto gentile e professionale un disguido sulla prenotazione. Il cibo è molto buono. Pesce fresco, pasta cotta al dente. Il servizio davvero incredibile. Peppino ci ha assistito ed è riuscito a farci scegliere le cose giuste e tutti sono rimasti entusiasti. Grazie ancora, avete reso la nostra serata indimenticabile!

Pranzo con amici . Antipasto di crudite' varie freschissime e lavorate in modo impeccabile, come primo paccheri cotti a puntino ai frutti di mare serviti a sorpresa dentro una focaccia aperta al momento, secondo frittura di pesce anche questo cotto alla perfezione servito su un letto di verdurine, come dolce pan d'oro servito con crema di mascarpone leggerissima. Il tutto accompagnato da un buon vino bianco frizzante. Il gestore gentilissimo così come il personale di sala cordiale e curato anche nell'abbigliamento. La location in Brera nel cuore della vecchia Milano riporta indietro nel tempo. Atmosfera curata e rilassante.

Sono rimasta piacevolmente colpita dalla qualità dei piatti di pesce suggeriti da Peppino, il simpatico cameriere che ha servito il nostro tavolo e si è preso cura di noi. Ero inizialmente titubante perché temevo che una trattoria in Brera potesse essere turistica. Qualità più che buona e porzioni abbondanti, infatti noi abbiamo diviso sia i primi che i secondi in due. Atmosfera natalizia. Non è mancato qualche aneddoto simpatico di Peppino tra un piatto e l’altro.

Ho gustato un meraviglioso filetto di branzino alla griglia, accompagnato da verdure grigliate e patate arrosto: tutto perfettamente cucinato, leggero ma saporito, con ingredienti freschissimi. Il piatto mi è stato consigliato dal mio amico Agostino, e devo dire che aveva proprio ragione: una scelta impeccabile! Servizio attento e cordiale, atmosfera piacevole e curata nei dettagli. Consiglio assolutamente questo ristorante a chi cerca cucina di qualità e un’esperienza gustosa in un ambiente accogliente.

Stopped in for dinner and was the best meal my friends and I have ever had. Peppino and Silvio were so welcoming and amazing. Food was delicious and the environment felt warm and authentic. I got the caprese pizza and it was my best meal in Milan. Would recommend this place 100 times!

An absolutely wonderful experience at Italia Restaurant. We ate the best carbonara in Milan - perfectly creamy, rich in flavor, and made with real passion for Italian cuisine. The Aperol Spritz was just as perfect: refreshing, well-balanced, and ideal for the atmosphere. The staff were kind and welcoming, making us feel truly taken care of from start to finish. It was a random stop but turned out the best food and gastronomy adventure I’ve ever had in Italy. The pasta was unbeatable(I’ve tried all the viral places but this was the best). The oysters were fresh and it was truly an unexceptedly good one. The tiramisu was amazing too, I can’t even put it into words. I will visit this place if I came back to Milan. The service and atmosphere were a little below than avarage, because there are small spaces between the tables and it was disturbing when the crew were running up and down between the tables, and the crew wasn’t really kind, but because of the food I still give a 5.

A totally random stop that turned out to be the best meal we had in Milan. Felipe was amazing - genuinely kind and welcoming. The Napoli pizza and lasagna were outstanding, truly top-tier. The restaurant also offers excellent seafood specialties. Deserts are also delicious. A place we’d happily return to without hesitation.

Best restaurant in Italy! After visiting Naples, Rome and Florence this year I can safely say this was the best restaurant my girlfriend and I have frequented. The food was unbelievable and the service was even better. We were served by Maurizio, who was the kindness waiter in the world, and both had the seafood linguine. Amy is gluten free and they did gluten free spaghetti which was 10/10. I had the normal version which came straight out of the pizza oven - so tasty :). Special shoutout to the aforementioned and pictured Maurizio who gave us the best service!

I had an amazing calamari ravioli with tomatoes and spinach. Didn’t ask but I assume their products are fresh and good quality. Italians are extrovert and direct. Very efficient and polite service. Luigi the waiter even had me taste the wine before serving the full glass so I could request a change if I wanted to. I also went inside and the atmosphere is ideal to have a calm and nutritious meal for around 40 eur per person. Absolutely recommended experience!

It is in the middle of a very touristy area but in all fairness the food was pretty good. You pay a slight premium but the host and service levels were top notch. The ossobucco was as good as anywhere in Milan, pizzas were great too. It's a 5 star for me but having said that when you are on that street you are spoilt for choices regardless.

We went to the restaurant as three people. One of us had steak with black truffle cream, another had spaghetti carbonara, and I had seafood pasta. We were all very satisfied with our dishes. The atmosphere inside and the friendliness of the staff also made us happy. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. I recommend this place to those in Milan.

We had an incredible experience here. Our server, Peppino, greeted us and brought us to a table and was very kind. He gave us some complimentary champagne, personally brought us some delicious bread with olive oil and parmesan, and had them make our pizza in the shape of a heart. This is one of my favourite restaurants in Italy. The food, atmosphere, and service is exceptional! This place first caught my attention because of their fish-shaped pizza, which I had asked the waiter for in Italian. Though they didn’t offer fish shaped pizzas, the waiter was so nice about it and even offered to make one in the shape of a heart. We had some great conversations in Italian and he seemed very happy at my basic Italian skills. The food itself tasted amazing too; very flavourful and authentic. The atmosphere is also very lively and it truly feels like an Italian dining setting here. Definitely check this place out!!!

One of the best Italian restaurants I have had in my life. To start off, the service was excellent. Our server, Farhan Ahmed, truly accommodated my family and I the best way possible. Such a genuine guy and spoke perfect English which helped us communicate since we are Americans. We had certain restrictions and allergies and he made sure everything was correct. In addition to this, we told him it was my moms birthday, so when the cake was brought out, it turned into a whole celebration at the restaurant with a firecracker on the cake. He helped this night become a core memory for us to remember in our life. Excellent service from him, the chefs, and staff. The food was fantastic. The pasta and pizza were delicious. I mean just perfection. Lastly, the atmosphere was great, loved the vibes. I highly recommend this place for delicious Italian food.

Abbiamo ordinato una pizza e due primi: tutto molto buono e servito in porzioni corrette, con un rapporto qualità-prezzo più che soddisfacente. Il personale, accogliente e preparato, ci ha permesso di trascorrere una serata piacevole. Anche la location è davvero bella, e abbiamo gradito molto la possibilità di mangiare nella veranda esterna riscaldata, confortevole e curata. Per chi cerca un ristorante con ampia scelta di piatti e cucina gustosa, lo consiglio sicuramente: vale la pena provarlo!

L’albergo dove siamo stati ci ha consigliato di mangiare qua. Abbiamo preso i calamari con cicoria e una pizza. Entrambi buonissimi. Il personale super simpatico e l’atmosfera tra i colleghi sembrava divertente. Ridevano e scherzavano. L’unica cosa che non ci ha fatto impazzire è stata la crema catalana.

We visited Ristorante Il Cestino and the overall experience was underwhelming. While the atmosphere and setting were decent, the food did not live up to expectations. The carbonara and ravioli were the only dishes that stood out in a positive way — they were reasonably well prepared and had acceptable flavour. Unfortunately, most of the other dishes were mediocre. The meat we tried was indifferent, lacking a distinct taste or quality that made it memorable, and the pizza was nothing special compared to other places in Milan. Portions were adequate, but beyond the carbonara and ravioli, nothing felt particularly noteworthy. It seemed like the kitchen was aiming for classic Italian dishes but didn’t manage to elevate them in either flavour or execution. The service was one of the better parts of the experience. The staff were polite, attentive and tried to be helpful throughout our meal. In summary, Il Cestino is a restaurant with friendly staff and a few reasonably good dishes, but the overall food quality was average. There are other options in Milan that offer stronger flavours and a more satisfying meal.

Went because other restaurant had long line. Has great atmosphere like every other restaurant in the area, nice plates and good service. Food wise, the shellfish type soup was good, very tomato forward but great soup. My caprese pizza was honestly also good just plated terribly, why such big chunks of tomato and mozzarella? God forbid they learn about knives being able to cut things. Im joking but also not completely. We also got the carbonara, very al dente. Would have send back but also didn’t want to wait and were at this point very full. Overall very meh (could be because of how full we were) but also paid 75 euro for water and 3 dishes, which was the most we’ve spent throughout our whole trip on one meal. Wait for the restaurant nearby.

We didn't like the food. We ordered a pizza, which was decent. We also ordered a well cooked beef fillet and spaghetti with meatballs. In the cheese we even found a little fly, okay, it can happen, the cheese wasn’t spoiled, but they didn’t even bother to apologize. And the meatball tasted like it came from a can, it was awful. The place itself felt somewhat dirty, with dusty light fixtures, and it’s overpriced for what it offers.

Quando il cameriere ha scoperto che eravamo colombiani, ha iniziato a fare commenti sul traffico di droga e cose del genere che solo lui poteva capire; a quel punto abbiamo dovuto pratticamente implorare per ordinare. Anche il pane che regalano volontariamente in tutti i ristoranti d'Italia, qui lo abbiamo dovuto chiedere. Quando ho voluto pagare, ho dovuto andare alla cassa perché il cameriere non poteva nemmeno portarci il lettore di carte. Quando mi hanno chiesto com'era andata la cena, ho detto onestamente che il cibo era molto buono, ma il servizio era pessimo... Non potevo proprio andarmene; volevo solo pagare e andarmene da lì.È stata la peggiore esperienza che abbia mai avuto in un ristorante: pensavano che, poiché eravamo donne colombiane, non avremmo potuto pagare il conto.Questo sito non è consigliato alle donne che viaggiano da sole, soprattutto se latinoamericane. E guarda, abbiamo avuto l'opportunità di visitare altre città in Italia, come Venezia, Roma, Torino, Rimini, Firenze, Verona, E in altre piccole città, da nessuna parte siamo stati trattati con tanta discriminazione e disprezzo. Although it's appearance suggests a good if not great meal, neither delivered on our experience. Food was bland and very under seasoned. Very underwhelming...... Didn't help that our waiter told me he only accepts cash tips. What a jerk...... Avoid.
