Partendo dall'ambientazione caratteristica, con musica tipica in sottofondo presente ma non disturbante, abbiamo trovato questo posto una chicca da non farsi mancare. Abbiamo preso entrambi il piatto unico vegetariano (nota a favore: si può anche scegliere quello vegano) — niente da dire, davvero incredibile. Portano anche il pane indiano accompagnato da delle salsine speciali. Tutto questo per un prezzo ottimo (12€ a testa), contando quantità e qualità. Che dire, non possiamo che consigliare questo posto. Delizioso è dire poco.

Da leccarsi i baffi! Sono stata oggi con le mie quattro amiche e siamo una più soddisfatta dell'altra! Abbiamo ordinato il menù del mezzogiorno a 10€, era abbondante e gustosissimo. L'arredamento tematico crea un'atmosfera suggestiva e rilassante. Il personale è estremamente gentile e attento, garantendo un servizio impeccabile. Sono stata da Serendib e ho provato il loro Sri Lankan fresh mee kiri… un piatto semplicemente straordinario 🤍 Cremoso al punto giusto, freschissimo, equilibrato nei sapori e capace di farti viaggiare davvero in Sri Lanka al primo assaggio 🇱🇰 Ma oltre al cibo, ciò che rende questo posto speciale è lo staff: professionale, super cordiale e sempre sorridente. Ti accolgono con un calore autentico che, per chi è stato in Sri Lanka, è impossibile non riconoscere. Ti senti subito a casa. Esperienza davvero impeccabile! Tutto buonissimo! Noi abbiamo ordinato un menù degustazione di carne e uno di pesce. È adatto anche a chi non ama la cucina indiana perchè non eccedono nelle spezie, pur mantenendo l’autenticitá della cucina. Ambiente a tema, candele sui tavoli, personale perfettamente formato. Il tutto contribuisce a rendere un’atmosfera romantica ed elegante adatta anche ad una cena più formale.

Abbiamo preso il menù da 10€+2€ per coperto e caffè e acqua, ne abbiamo preso uno di carne e uno di pesce, entrambi molto buoni ma quello di pesce era veramente spaziale, verdure cotte benissimo e pesce saporito. Ho ordinato una too good to go surprise bag grande da Serendib. Ho ricevuto un piatto delizioso a base di carne, riso e patate. La carne era tenerissima, si scioglieva in bocca. Anche le patate erano morbide e saporite. Non era da meno il riso, anche quello eccezionale. L’ho portato a casa in bici, e una volta arrivato il piatto era ancora caldo. Il personale è stato molto accogliente. Ho avuto un’ottima esperienza! Lo consiglio e ci ritornerò!

Abbiamo provato il menù del giorno, presenti tre opzioni: carne, pesce e vegetariano. Una delle tre, con acqua, caffè e pane con tipi diversi di chutney a 12 euro. Piatti buoni e locale molto curato, torneremo sicuramente per provare qualche piatto più elaborato.

Ottima esperienza con Too Good To Go! Ho preso un pasto sri lankese con riso, pollo e verdure 🍛 Porzione davvero abbondante e tutto molto buono: riso saporito, pollo tenero e verdure ben condite. Si sentivano bene le spezie ma senza essere troppo piccante. Davvero soddisfatto sia per la qualità che per la quantità. Un’ottima sorpresa e sicuramente da riprendere!

Ho ordinato il too good to go surprise bag grande e devo dire che per il prezzo e la qualità ne vale veramente tanto la pena! Il proprietario gentilissimo e accogliente, le porzioni sono abbondanti. La carne si scioglie in bocca e davvero buone anche le salsine speziate che accompagnano carne e verdure. Ci tornerò sicuramente magari anche senza too good to go per godermi al massimo cosa offre il ristorante!

Serendib è un ristorante che serve piatti dello Sri Lanka e Indiani. Ogni pietanza è un capolavoro, la cucina prepara meraviglie che fanno desiderare di tornare mille volte. Adatto per chi vuole provare la cucina indiana per la prima volta, grazie anche al fatto che la maggior parte dei piatti non è piccante, ed è una scelta perfetta per chi ama la cucina indiana, per farsi stupire dalla cucina dello Sri Lanka (un esempio: il Dahl è veramente diverso dalla versione indiana e a mio avviso molto più buono). Consiglio il menù degustazione, ma attenzione perché le dosi sono sempre molto generose, e dopo i primi cinque piatti ne arrivano altri quattro più il dolce (DUE dolci, e due frutti, con cioccolato fuso a parte). Caffè ottimo e grande scelta di liquori dopo pasto indiani, io ho assaggiato quello al cardamomo e quello allo zenzero, entrambi molto gustosi e particolari. Il servizio è eccellente, non troppo formale ma sempre molto attento alle esigenze del cliente. È a Milano, quindi l'opzione migliore è andare con i mezzi o in taxi, in alternativa trovare parcheggio può essere un po' impegnativo. Fatevi un favore: andateci.

Wonderful culinary experience. This was such a treat and such a brilliant way to try a Michelin guide and bib gourmand restaurant. The food does not disappoint and I can’t wait to come back here when I’m next in Milan. I had the meat tasting menu and I was delighted with the flavour and variety of food I had the privilege of trying. Exceptional value for money at only €35 as well. Serendib hosted our small dinner event for a group I belong to. The food was freshly cooked and excellent, and the waiters were very attentive. The owner, Mr. Perera, welcomed each of us with a friendly smile. The price of 2 drinks and an appetizer buffet, followed by a main dish and mineral water, is very reasonable. The space is small, so when the restaurant is full, it can be a bit noisy.

I went there for lunch and i have really nothing bad to say about it: the staff was very kind and available, the place was crowded with indian-styled furniture and also the dishes had some nice details. The food was of course the part that i liked the most(since i went there for lunch i did not experienced the entire menù): they brought me some indian bread along with some sauces, and they were really good, expecially the onion one; then it came the main dish, which was composed with some basmati rice, some really tender chicken and hummus-like vegetables. Like i said, everything was on point and well spiced! I'll definitely recommend this place and will be back to try their other dishes for sure!

Went for the special lunch menu for €10 + €2 (coperto)- appetizers (pic 2), main dish (has different options: vegetarian/vegan, meat- chicken, fish), with water 50cl and coffee included. The place has a very immersive, well kept and especially has a very authentic atmosphere. It was not very busy when we went, but maybe you should book in advance if you’re a group of more than 5 people, but it could totally host more, though not as big of a place as expected but has the adequate amount of tables considering the district it’s in. The service was positive, the waiter is polite, welcoming and available, the food arrived in a timely manner; and the portion size is more than generous (I couldn’t finish my main course and had the rest to go) Flavor wise, it didn’t disappoint, you can choose from three different sauces with varying and distinct flavors to accompany the bread for the appetizer. For the main course I got the chicken (meat) option, it was well seasoned and not too overpowering or too savory, which harmoniously blends with the perfectly cooked white rice and vegetables, which are also seasoned and cooked to perfection, a dish that could also stand on its own (not less compared to its meat counterpart). I love the traditional presentation like the plates and cutlery. The price to quality and quantity ratio is very good, especially for Milan; definitely a good deal (considering a Michelin star restaurant, as mentioned in the well crafted and detailed menu, which are not too overwhelming). So if you ever find yourself near the area, this place is a definitely a must try, especially if you want to try something new and are open to exploring diverse cultural cuisines. I 100% personally recommend this place and will definitely go back.

Landed in Milan the capital or pasta and pizza and we chose SRI LANKAN FOOD. The best decision we made! First off we arrived with no reservation, when you walk in you’re instantly greeted by the owner who personally seats you, he is the sweetest most kind man and you can see how attentive he is to every detail. Most of the other tables were eating the “sharing menu” we decided to share two dishes, 1. Chicken tiki masala (best tiki masala I have ever had) 2. Alams (which was a beef and vegetable stew cooked in turmeric) we also had a traditional starter (chapati with dips) and raita. We also decided to try both beers. At first, we preferred the Indian lager, but just like how wine changes taste after eating cheese, the Sri Lankan beer, Kamasutra, tasted even better after we started eating our dishes. Overall this place was a 10/10 the bill came out to 28 euro each (before tip) and trust me it was worth each and every euro 🤓🤤🙂

We wanted to try out a Sri Lankan restaurant in Milan, and Serendib seemed like the best choice. The place is decorated with many references to Sri Lankan history and culture, which we found to be interesting. The food was great, the spicy level was good as well. We ordered the lunch special for EUR 10, which includes chapati appetizer and the main course with rice and curries. The chicken curry was not authentic, but tasty all the same. The watalappan and mee kiri were delicious as well. If you're a Sri Lankan in Milan, this is definitely a place to try out. And if you're interested in Sri Lankan cuisine, this would be a great place to start experiencing their delicacies.

Absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is beautifully decorated and the service was excellent. I still can’t believe how much food I got for the price. It doesn’t make sense but I’m not complaining haha. I did the tasting menu and its extremely fair priced at 30 euro. I really didn’t even expect the amount of food I was served. They start you with a few slices of plain naan bread with 3 different sauces to be immediately followed by a build your own soup station. Then what came next blew my mind. Vegetable rice, pork, lamb, chicken, beef, potatoes, and eggplant. Everything was great with the standout being the beef curry for me. I tried their sri lanken beer which only comes in the big size. They put it on ice like a bottle of wine which was cool. After I literally ate for about an hour straight, I actually had to give up. They had the nerve to give me a dessert platter haha. Still not complaining. Pineapple, cantaloupe, tapioca, and some type of thick munchkin with chocolate sauce. I left there the most full I’ve been in a while. I felt bad not trying to eat as much as I could. They can definitely charge more for this or give less food and I’d still be super happy. Just being honest. Definitely come here if you like indian food and maybe skip the tasting menu if you’re by yourself. It would be great for two people but I’m not sure if they would charge 30 all together or 30 per person. You’d have to go and find out =]

We had dinner here and found it quite disappointing. The service was pushy and the staff were unable to properly explain the dishes. We ended up over-ordering massively because the waiter assured us the amount was "good," yet we had to leave half of it behind. As people familiar with this type of food, we found the quality inconsistent. Other indicators of low quality were present too, such as being served a tea bag despite being told it was loose-leaf. Our bill came to over €100 without drinks, which felt like a total oversell. They even pushed for tips at the end. Not recommended - there are much better places in Milan for this type of cuisine.
