We had one of the best, if not THE best meal here during our trip. The owner was so helpful and welcoming, guiding us through the menu. The pesto pasta is an absolute dream… as well as the meatballs. The space is large and not overly formal, a great spot to enjoy a lively lunch or dinner for groups small and large. We will definitely return next time we are in Milan.

You will find here everything that you need to enjoy the Milanese cuisine. The risotto with pear and Gorgonzola was very good ! Really glad that even though we were late they understood and keep a table for us :)!!

I was in Milan for a week with my parents and this was the best dinner we had during our trip. The owner, Massimo, was definitely what made the experience 10/10. We walked in at around 10.15pm so it was pretty late (Google said the place closes at 10.45pm) and we were worried we’d be turned away with no reservation. But they sat us down with no fuss. We only spoke English but that wasn’t a problem as there was an english menu and Massimo spoke english really well (speaks french and spanish too!). The place was definitely a vibe. Wine bottles lining the walls also decorated with pretty artworks. Red checkered tables. Very classic and chic. The food was amazing too! I’d say it’s a bit on the saltier side, though my family liked it that way. We had the vegetarian and veal appetiser, the ossobucco with yellow saffron rissoto and porchettina main, and the semifreddo dessert. Between the three of us, we devoured it and left with a satisfied belly. The wine was also good. We tried the Malvasia wine recommended by Massimo.

Took my parents there when they came to visit Milano for the first time. I wanted them to try the Milanese cuisine and I picked Testina even though I hadn’t tried it before, but I have heard some good reviews. We were really impressed, including me. We took the ossobuco and costoletta alla Milanese, and both plates couldn’t be any more perfect… they were delicious. This will definitely become my favorite spot for Milanese cuisine!

A true experience of Milanese cuisine. Fresh local ingredients and chef creativity made our experience unforgettable. The atmosphere is really pleasant with art display and the customer service provided by owners Massimo and Erica was outstanding. The starters with cold cuts and gnocco fritto was out of this world, our main courses were pasta, risotto, stew beef with meat super soft accompanied by a selection of finest wines and beverages. As for dessert, we had the traditional tiramisu and sorbet! Portions size are good and you leave the restaurant with a full belly!

Food was amazing, we had the deep fried veal and their signature risotto with veal. Both were splendid and have their uniqueness, it was really hard to decide which was better. Both dishes are just too good! Whilst slightly on the pricier side, the portions and taste are solid and well reasonable given its location Thank you for allowing us to enjoy such a splendid dinner on our last night in Italy

Interiors are clean and airy. There is quite wide space among the tables, so you can have your own privacy. The staff is very kind and willing. The quality of the food is high and also the quantity is fine. Very good selection of wines: you can take just a glass or the full bottle as well. The dinner is a good value for the money.

Ho mangiato da Testina e l’esperienza è stata decisamente positiva. Dalla foto si vede bene quello che abbiamo assaggiato: cotoletta e risotto davvero molto buoni, preparati con cura e nel pieno rispetto della tradizione milanese, con porzioni generose e materie prime di qualità. La cantina dei vini è ben fornita, con una buona selezione adatta ad accompagnare perfettamente il pasto. L’ambiente è tipico milanese, caldo e accogliente, il classico posto dove si va per mangiare bene e godersi una cucina autentica senza fronzoli. In sintesi, un ristorante ideale per chi cerca buona cucina tradizionale, una bella atmosfera e un’ottima esperienza complessiva. Consigliato.

Trattoria moderna in stile antico che offre piatti autentici della cucina milanese. Ottimo tutto quello che abbiamo assaggiato (il crostino di testina, il risotto allo zafferano con ossobuco ed il brasato con polenta). Ambiente curato ed accogliente, con personale cortese. Scegliere di cenare in questo ristorante non é mai una scelta sbagliata. Consigliato.

Location carina e personale super gentile, il servizio è stato veloce. Ossobuco ottimo (che non ho fotografato perché preso dalla foga!) mentre sulla cotoletta seppure si sente materia prima ottima forse qualcosa sì può migliorare nella cottura. In generale ci tornerei.

Il risotto con osso buco BUONISSIMO! Personale molto gentile. Ambiente da osteria ma servizio curato. Il risotto eccezionale, i mondeghili molto buoni, i salumi nulla di eccezionale rispetto agli altri piatti che abbiamo mangiato. La cotoletta molto grossa morbida ma io la preferisco più croccante. I dolci molto buoni. I prezzi alti ma ormai nella media di Milano

Cucina milanese buona e con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Tavolata da 7, abbiamo preso degli antipasti al centro ("il tipico" con salumi, formaggi, giardiniera molto buona e gnocco fritto + mondeghili). Poi abbiamo proseguito con risotti/cotolette (le porzioni sono abbondanti), io ho optato per il Reale (reale di manzo ubriaco e cotto a bassa temperatura servito con risotto giallo alla milanese, davvero notevole sia la carne che il Risotto. Per accompagnare acqua e vino rosso. Location informale colorata e accogliente, personale molto gentile. Un ulteriore plus: il ristorante ha una posizione strategica perche vicinissimo a Piazza Gae aulenti (10 min a piedi) eppure sabato sera alle 21 non ce stato problema per trovare parcheggio. In generale ci siamo trovati bene e lo consiglierei come posto per fare cene anche con amici e con grandi tavolate.

Ristorante milanese a due passi da Palazzo Lombardia. Piatti tipici di qualità. Abbiamo preso mondeghili molto buoni, Risotto giallo e cotoletta buoni ma il vero protagonista a mio avviso è stato l'ottimo risotto con l'ossobuco. Consiglio

Sono stato da Testina due volte e, per ora, il mio voto è 4 stelle. La prima volta ho assaggiato l’ossobuco con risotto ed era spettacolare, davvero buonissimo! La seconda volta, però, non mi ha convinto allo stesso modo: era buono, ma mancava quella marcia in più che mi aveva colpito la prima volta. Ho intenzione di tornarci una terza volta per farmi un’idea definitiva. In ogni caso, è un ristorante che consiglio per chi vuole provare i piatti tipici milanesi. Speriamo che al prossimo giro l’ossobuco torni ad essere al top!

Non avevo mai mangiato tipico Milanese, avrei voluto assaggiare anche cose diverse, ma obiettivamente le porzioni sono davvero abbondanti e quindi piuttosto soddisfacenti. Non so se la Milanese fosse davvero "the original" (suppongo di si) ma so che quella Milanese era leggera, non unta, gustosa e che mi è piaciuta molto. Buonissimi anche i Mondeghili, che non avevo mai assaggiato, ma il top per me è stato il risotto giallo con l'ossobuco, doavvero super. Servizio accogliente, cordiale, gentile che arricchisce di molte spiegazioni le pietanze, appagando anche la curiosità. Il locale è accogliente e molto carino con le tovaglie a quadretti, le foto d'epoca di Milano attaccate alla parete mi hanno fatto sognare. Da provare assolutamente

Nice spacious restaurant with friendly staff serving very good traditional Milanese food. We had a vermouth cocktail to start with a mixed plate to share. Then some meatballs with a beetroot sauce. The Real (show cooked beef) and the ossobuco were both served with the traditional saffron risotto. Both tender and really good.

Ossobuco, what to say, meat was very soft like I was expected. I was missing more spices. Rice on the bottom was ok. Dish for the start was also ok. I was really impressed on the taste of the beer.

Location carina, ricorda una osteria. Menù tipico della cucina milanese. Ho preso una cotoletta alla milanese, che non mi ha convinto. Carne tenera, ma poco saporita, anche la panatura. Per fortuna c'era il sale a dare un tocco in più. Anche le patate non mi hanno convinto, in quanto troppo secche. Abbiamo preso pure una sbrisolona con grappa. La cosa più buona era quest'ultima.. Personale di sala super gentile e cordiale, punto di forza del locale. Prezzi troppo alti per la qualità offerta
