Opinions de Trattoria del Ciumbia Milano
Amazing interior design made by Dimorestudio (the same designer company who made the Dolce Vita luxury train’s, and Aesop shop’s interior). The waiter was very welcoming, we felt included.
Really great place. Authentic Milanese food which is extremely rare in Milan. Top marks!
This is a restaurant where you feel the elegance of Milan. Beautiful interior, attentive staff and great food! Overall I really enjoyed my evening.
10/10. Decided to have a random girl’s dinner here on a Sunday. Booked through the platform, got our table. From the first seconds the service was very welcoming, attentive and fast. For antipasti we took vitello tonnato and tonno di coniglio. For secondi: salmerino, lasagnetta and scaloppina di vitello. For dolce: barbajada and torta di rose. A bottle of wine and cocktails: branca colada, piña dorada and ciumbia che paloma. The food was splendid! As well as cocktails. The dolce were good; tho the barbajada was not as expressive in taste as in its looks and in the torta di rose we didn’t feel any sophisticated taste as described; but both were tasty anyway. The place has a disco room downstairs which is opened in the cold months (so now it is closed but out waiter was kind to let us have a look 👀). We would definitely come back to try other dishes and feel the atmosphere. The prices are high enough but you definitely pay for the service, effort, excellent food and the location of the restaurant ✨
The place is beautiful, the mix of colors and fabrics/materials used is very elevated and modern/cool. The food was really good, the agnolotti was amazing and so was the risotto alla milanese. My friends ordered the fish and said ist was really really good as well, cooked perfectly and with a crispy skin. As for desert we ordered tbe gelatto that came with 3 toppings, but it would have been perfect if there was one with a chocolate sauce or something like it. Definitiely coming back
We had a wonderful evening at this place, our second dinner here. We visited nearly a year ago and were blown away by the amazing food - on the menu you can find both Milanese classics and dishes with a modern/creative twist; all of them executed to perfection. The restaurant itself is exceptionally beautiful - looking at it you’d expect it to be totally style over content (and possibly a blogger heaven) but the food really is fantastic and our fellow diners ranged from other tourists to the Milanese fashion set and even a couple of families with children. We felt that the waiters could have been significantly more attentive, but nonetheless they were kind and we were able to ask for everything we needed. The bus staff were incredibly sweet, and a special mention to the wonderful lady who tirelessly takes great care of the restrooms.
By @Indigestionparis It’s rare to find a place that balances atmosphere, service, and culinary quality with such finesse. Stepping into this Trattoria, you’re immediately enveloped in an elegant yet relaxed ambiance. Dim lighting and thoughtful decor make it the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a laid-back night out with friends. The service is impeccable. The team masters the art of hospitality with remarkable ease: attentive without being intrusive, warm yet discreet. You instantly feel like a valued guest. As for the food, the Milanese escalope left me speechless – probably the best I’ve ever tasted. Crispy, flavorful, perfectly executed… a dish worthy of a spot on my Furukōsu Menyū. Truly an experience worth the visit.

Amazing ambience in a class neighborhood in Milan. Food is Awesome, had a specific menu with multiple courses, the ragu was the best I ever had, the antipasti as well. Cotoleta was perfectly made. …
We went to this place for lunch and I can confirm: food, ambience and music was a 10! - Service was very attentive at all time BUT was arrogant and unfriendly sometimes. + Would be nice if you start treating your guests with kindness and smile more! That costs nothing and makes the experience way much better. Just a quick reminder: “a great man is one who can be humble even when he is the master.”
This is a very interesting restaurant, the style of the place is very particular and it really makes you feel to travel back in time. The dishes are from the typical Milanese cuisine, pleasant and tasty. The service is very good and polite. I personally think that the price is good for the quality and quantity of the food. The restaurant also has sa downstairs disco, that the clients are welcome to join in between course, which is definitely a nice touch. Unfortunately, the disco is quite small and the quality of the cocktails can definitely improve. A nice place for an evening with friends or even a romantic partner, I strongly recommend it and I will definitely return
The place is very nice, with modern furnishings and beautiful interiors. The service guys are kind and efficient although there was a bit of confusion given that there are so many of them, but nothing serious; in my opinion the menu does not correspond; I was expecting some variation with modern touches, if I want a Cotoletta and risotto Milanese I won't choose this place.
I recently visited this place and was immediately drawn to its unique blend of old-school charm and modern flair – definitely not your typical Italian joint. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff adding to the pleasant vibe. The food? Delicious and served in hearty portions, with prices that won’t break the bank. However, there was a bit of a head-scratcher with the wine selection. Most bottles seemed to come with a hefty price tag, which caught me off guard considering what I’d seen online. Maybe I missed something, but it left me puzzled. Despite this, it’s still a lovely spot worth checking out for its ambiance and tasty dishes.

Great atmosphere, really well designed restaurant. Food was average, nothing special really. As antipasti, I think the impressive plate was the Milanese meatballs. For the primi piatti, we had risotto milanese, gnocchi with pesto and asparagus and agnelotti. They were fine, but wasn’t an unforgettable taste. For the second piatti, we had cotoletta bassa, which was alright. The wine menu was impressive though. There are two seatings at dinner, so be careful if they don’t mention that while making reservations.
We tried this place 2 weeks ago because there was so much hype about this place during the design week and the fashion week. Well, the restaurant is definitely chic, and filled with equally chic people. The service was excellent, attentive and very friendly. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming. I didn’t understand why everything was served on a big lump of mash potato. Serving size was rather generous, unfortunately the taste was pedestrian. However, I must the osso bucco on the classic Milanese risotto was on point! So either we didn't order well, or they only had one shining dish. Unsure. The food didn't look appetizing as it was all bath in brown gravy when served. Very unnecessary, I think. Come for a chic tete-a-tete but don't expect much on the food. Will not come back, unless I'm not eating and you're an excellent company!
I rarely leave review but I have to this time. Always wanted to try this restaurant and turned out to be a big disappointment. The interiors are very beautiful and great atmosphere. The service was rushy. And the food was of bad quality! I had the eel as starter and then the ossobuco with risotto. Taste wasn’t good and ingredients were clearly not fresh. I felt sick and vomited as soon as I arrived home. Not coming back!

So shocked to receive such bad service from the entire team and at the end to have the bill literally thrown at the person inviting me on the table by the hostess with nothing but contempt for us
RACIAL PROFILING at its best. Imagine arriving to your booking then shortly after being told they need the table back - not even having finished your food AND despite there being other empty tables and tables that were sat before you being left to enjoy their meal. These are things about restaurants that people need to know. Your customers do not just come for the food, they come for the atmosphere as well. This was by far the worst experience in Italy.
Went here for dinner and was Racially profile, a woman waiter kicked as out our table and we haven’t even finish our main course, saying she need the table table when people who was there longer before us was till there enjoy their meal when she come to take the bill the look she gave us like was wow she really didn’t want us here when I’m a paying customer the atmosphere where fully a white crowd so being the only two black people there must have rubbed her the wrong way black peoples also have money too ok . Very very rude waiter I won’t recommend this spot to black people
