A beautiful and authentic culinary experience. I was particularly amazed by the quality and quantity of the Milanese dishes offered; everything was exquisite. The risottos are creamy and well-balanced, but what made me fall in love with this place were the cotolette, or oregge, served with various sauces and toppings, like pizza. On top of all this, the service is welcoming and familiar, and the atmosphere is typical of a historic trattoria in a historic neighborhood (finally striving to revitalize itself). I absolutely recommend trying their dishes, especially the typical Milanese cotolette (oregge). I will definitely be back!

I was fortunate that this restaurant was my first, after arriving in Italy for the first time! The staff was so friendly and helpful. I arrived at about 6:30 pm and was told that the entire restaurant was reserved at 8:00. But after talking with them, I was able to convince them that I would not stay beyond 8:00. A few other small parties arrived after me, and were able to negotiate the same arrangement. And what delicious food! I started with a bottle of wine that, based on its quality would have cost two or three times as much at a US restaurant. The tagliere was sumptuous, with a pumpkin flan that was sublime. Braised beef with polenta followed as the secondi, and I was immersed in northern Italy. Finally, a cheese plate to aid in the completion of the wine. By the time the large party showed up, they did not occupy the entire restaurant, after all, and the staff were very happy to have us stay until we were finished. Ludovica was bright and attentive with her service (and her fluent English was an added bonus). My first Milanese restaurant was delightful, but there were many others to come during my culinary adventure. Thank you Trattoria Fà Ballà L'Oeucc, with fond remembrance.

In the Baggio area, characteristical South West border of the city, this restaurant keeps the old fashioned Milanese atmosphere offering good local dishes for an affordable price. Risotto, brasato, ossobuco and the 'elephant ear' cotoletta, all accompanied by polenta. Found it casually, I'll definitely return.

I am french and was on a solo trip in north italy. I spent two nights at the san siro hotel nearby the trattoria and found the restaurant by using the explore what's nearby feature on google maps. I didnt have any ideas expectations, it seemed good. What a wonderful surprise to find that the waiter spoke french (and quite good). I took a beer and he offered me advice on what i should order. I wanted something from the region, it told me about the risotto ossobuco di viletti and it was exquisite. I asked about desserts and he told me honestly there was one homemade and others commercial, i took the homemade which was a really good tiramisu. Before the dessert he offered me some fried polenta with cheese (i didnt order for it) and a liquor after the dessert (i didnt order for it as well). Overall, I spent a wonderful dinner. It made my day. I recommend it.

Tipica cucina lombarda con piatti sapientemente preparati. Cassoeula molto buona e mondeghili ben fatti. Gestori molto gentili.

La trattoria è genuina e familiare, di quelle dove ci si dà subito del tu e l’atmosfera ti mette a tuo agio. I gestori e i giovanissimi camerieri sono tutti sorridenti e disponibili. Se capiscono che al tavolo c’è sintonia, parte anche qualche chiacchiera piacevole, come succede nei posti genuini. (pochi) Le porzioni di primi e secondi sono decisamente abbondanti, forse persino troppo. Un consiglio pratico: se ordinate le patate arrosto, una porzione in due è più che sufficiente. I risotti, invece, sono semplicemente spettacolari. L’unica nota stonata è il prezzo. Siamo nella Baggio vecchia, quartiere popolare, e i costi sono più da trattoria di zona centrale che di periferia. Detto questo, una cosa va detta senza girarci intorno: si mangia davvero bene. E il piatto, alla fine, convince più del conto.

An excellent, historic trattoria in Baggio, ideal for enjoying traditional Milanese dishes. I'd heard of it but had never had the opportunity to try it. The reservation system is very simple: you can make it online, with confirmation arriving within minutes. The restaurant is simple and authentic: a small entrance area with a few tables near the counter and a larger room in the back. The wine list exclusively features producers from the Milan area. The menu is faithful to Milanese cuisine. Appetizers include mondeghili (a type of pork shoulder), nervetti (a type of pork shoulder), tongue, cured meats, Russian salad, and gorgonzola cheese; the first course features various risottos and gnocchi; the second course includes tripe, roast beef, shank, veal with tuna sauce, pulled pork, and various versions of elephant ear. We ordered the "homemade stracciatella with zola cheese and homemade crackers" and the Russian salad. The stracciatella balanced the bold flavor of the zola cheese well; the crackers were very pleasant. The Russian salad was well-executed with perfectly cooked vegetables, but the mayonnaise was a bit runny and flavorless. For main courses, we tried the classic orecchiette pasta, well-cooked, and the busecca stew, served with fried eggplant sticks—a pleasant and unexpected accompaniment. Handy tip: arrive early, as service times can be slow when the restaurant is full. Overall, an authentic experience, recommended for those seeking traditional Milanese flavors.

I recently had dinner at La Trattoria Fà Ballà l’Oeucc and I have to say it was a great discovery. The restaurant, located in the heart of the old Baggio district, has a welcoming atmosphere and a truly friendly and helpful service. We started by sharing a truly special risotto: pears, radicchio and taleggio fondue. A dish perfectly balanced in flavors, creamy and rich, ideal for those who like to try combinations that are a little different from the usual. For the second course, I chose the Oreggia, a cutlet covered in stracciatella, caramelized onions and glaze, accompanied by a side dish of your choice. I opted for the baked potatoes, a decidedly generous portion and well cooked. The cutlet alone would have been enough to fill me up, so much so that, even though I had my eye on the desserts, I had to give it up because I was too full! We accompanied everything with a glass of wine, water and a final coffee. Overall, a really positive experience: tasty food, generous portions, fair prices and a homely atmosphere that makes you feel at ease. Definitely a place I would love to return to soon!

Although the whole-bottle rule was unfriendly to single customer, that there was no choice to order one glass, 1/4 or half-bottle of wine. The result was that I had to drink a whole bottle of prosecco alone. The traditional dishes were delicious and the service was instant and friendly. Cheers to my last stop in Milano for the memorable dinner.

Non mi ha fatto impazzire la trattoria: il servizio, pur essendo ben eseguito dal cameriere, è stato particolarmente lento e il cibo non era buono come mi aspettavo. Abbiamo aspettato quasi un ora per riceve il risotto e, tempo che arrivassero gli ultimi risotti, i primi che l'avevano ricevuto l'avevano già finito (tra tutti i commensali avevamo 3 tipi di riso). C'è da dire che, ovviamente, un tavolo da 10 persone ha il suo impegno, ma non c'erano tanti altri tavoli oltre al nostro. L'antipasto misto era sufficiente (i mondeghili non so dire in che modo fossero stati cotti ma non sono simili a quelli che ho trovato in qualsiasi altra trattoria milanese), mentre il risotto con ossobuco era gradevole. Nulla di cattivo nel complesso, ma le aspetti e erano alte. Prezzi nella media.

A positive experience, recommended for the typical dishes tied to local cuisine. Good food, normal portions, average prices, not exactly trattoria-like. Wine only by the bottle. The risotto with gorgonzola, amaretti, and pumpkin was unfortunately lukewarm, perhaps due to the gorgonzola mousse garnish applied with a piping bag to the rice, which overshadowed the other flavors. The classic elephant ear was very good and light. I would return, knowing that the dishes have been slightly revisited with a modern twist, sticking more to classics. The staff is young and friendly.

Cibo non all'altezza dei prezzi, piuttosto alti per una trattoria di periferia. 24 euro per un risotto zafferano con l'osso buco che aveva lo stesso sapore di quello dell'ospedale, fatto con un kilo di burro (pesantissimo) e midollo dell'osso buco insipido. Se li avessi spesi a disoneste (che in realtà sono le più oneste) o alla sisal, avrei avuto certamente la sensazione di averli "buttati" meglio.

Sono una milanese doc e sta sera mi sono vergognata di aver portato una persona in questo posto. Per un milanese il cibo servito era inaccettabile, lontanissimo dalla vera cucina milanese, partendo dalla lingua, ogni fetta tagliata come un ostia era servita su mezzo panino di pane industriale, inaccettabile. I mondeghili che dovrebbero essere il recupero di lesso e carne avanzata non avevano la minima traccia di carne rossa, sembravano macinato di pane e pollo insapori. Per finire col brasato, 3 fette sottili di lesso coperto da una salsa grigia, non mi capacitavo, il brasato a Milano è tutto tranne che quello. Il servizio lunghissimo, cibo tiepido, panini industriali ancora freddi dentro.. Il tutto a caro prezzo Non aggiungo altro se non Terribile!
