We stumbled upon this lovely place. Vincenzo and his staff were very friendly and accommodating. He recommended wine that paired perfectly with our food. We had Ossobuco, which was really nice and filling, and ravioli. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a hearty meal 🥰
Mr. Vincenzo is a charming and kind gentleman who owns this authentic Italian place which serves very delicious salads, bruschetta, pasta and other main courses. They have a good selection of wine, beer and others. The serving team is very courteous and the place is warm during cold winters. Very hygienic washrooms. It’s not touristy at all, mostly Italians dine and we would definitely go back to this place that we stumbled upon chance . ❤️
There are meals that satisfy hunger, and then there are meals that touch the soul! Viaggi nel Gusto in Milan most certainly belongs to the latter. Tucked away in one of the city’s charming neighborhoods, this restaurant is not merely a place to dine; it is an experience, a love letter to Italian cuisine crafted with heart, artistry, and devotion. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was welcomed not as a guest, but as family. The warmth of the staff and the graciousness of the owner created an atmosphere that felt both elegant and intimately familiar. The kind of hospitality that lingers long after the final sip of wine. And then, the pasta. Ah, the pasta! If one could capture the essence of Italy in a single dish, it would be their lobster pasta, a triumph of flavor, balance, and texture. The sweetness of the lobster melds perfectly with the delicate tang of the sauce, each bite a celebration of culinary mastery. Truly, it is among the best I have tasted in all of Italy and I do not say that lightly. I find myself already dreaming of my return. In fact, I am booking a flight from America to Milan solely to once again sit at that table, to savor that pasta, and to bask in the joy that Viaggi nel Gusto so effortlessly provides. If you love food , truly love it, this is not just a restaurant you visit. It is one you remember, cherish, and return to. Buon appetito and buon viaggio nel gusto.
A cosy little restaurant away from the tourist traps. A small menu but the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and attentive. If you are a tourist looking to eat like a local this is a great option! I recommend the Spaghetti aglio, olio e ‘nduja for a light pasta dish
Such great dining at Viaggi Nel Gusto, Angelica and Beti were great, they were super friendly and welcoming. We felt right at home, we had Spaghetti a la Vongole, Eggplant Parmigiana, Carpacio, Carbonara and the two steaks in the menu, everything was delicious, fresh and filling. We also had the house wine, it was so good we ended up buying two bottles to go, I definitely recommend their house wine. For dessert we had the house made Tiramisu 😋😋😋It was delicious, the coffee were great, the expreso was on point. Overall we really enjoyed our dinging experience at Viaggi Nel Gusto, the service, food and ambience made our visit memorable.
I came here for dinner and ordered the risotto with osso bucco. Came around 8pm on a Tuesday without a reservation. Vincenzo was so kind and welcoming. I enjoyed my experience eating here. First time trying osso bucco. While I do not normally eat red meat, it was delicious. And large portion size too. Tiramisu was great too. Menu and staff were English-friendly. A main dish cost about $20-25/person. Clean, great service, and great vibe. Highly recommend!
If you're looking for a restaurant where you'll feel like a truly valued guest, this is the place. From the moment you step inside, you can tell that the owner genuinely cares about every detail. He’s not just overseeing things from the sidelines—he’s welcoming guests, helping the servers, and making sure everything runs smoothly. It’s rare to see someone so involved, and it really makes a difference in the overall experience. The Food: Absolutely Delicious. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor, clearly made from fresh, high-quality ingredients. The portions were generous but not overwhelming, and the presentation was beautiful. Highly recommended! To this restaurant you will always come back.
Sure! Here’s a shorter version: Review: This lasagna was absolutely incredible! The layers were perfectly balanced, with tender pasta, rich sauce, and the ideal amount of cheese. The flavors melded together beautifully, and the top layer had a perfect golden crust that added a slight crunch. Definitely one of the best lasagnas I’ve ever had—pure comfort and flavor in every bite!
Amazing hospitality from all the staff, especially the owner Vincenzo!! The food was amazing - we had swordfish pasta, which was a daily special, and lasagna. Both were so tasty, and we ended up ordering one more swordfish pasta because it's really really good!! Highly recommend this hidden gem💎The dessert wine from the island near Sicily was very nice too😮💨Will come back again next time when I'm in Milan!!
Excellent cuisine and great kind of foods. The restaurant takes the best from all parts of Italy, serving several specialties also from other regions. Wide choice of wines, although I'd suggest to increase the choice and the quality of other drinks. Nice place but I'd suggest to check the operation of the extractor in the kitchen.
Great restaurant at reasonable price in center of Milan. It was 20 min walk from Duomo. Great ambiance. Felt like family run place. We made the last last minute reservation via google maps and we’re all set for early dinner (per Italian standards). Lasagna and pasta was great. Tasted fresh. House wine was nice too. Place is not very big so recommend making a reservation.
The owner greeted us as we walked in. He was so friendly and welcoming, as were his staff. This was my first dinner in Milan. We started off with a carpaccio, which was very good. My partner had the lasagna, which smelled and tasted divine. I had the linguine al pesto, and it was so flavorful and al dente, my favorite. We shared a cotoletta alla milanese and they separated it into two plates for us which I thought was extremely thoughtful. We finished off our night with delicious tiramisu. This restaurant did not disappoint. Lovely experience!
Grate food and very nice atmosphere! The food- well thought and very tasty. The lasaniea very tasty soft and cooked perfectly The meat was very tender and tasty but not the star of the place Must try the lasaniea!! The atmosphere is something special though didn't see alot of places like this very romantic and cool The mashed potato was not so smooth but nothing else was wrong so this a 5 star!! I Realy recommend visiting

Small local restaurant serving good Italian food. Better make reservations. Good an d big enough portion. Italian food lover can try
Excellent service, typical Italian food and delicious wine. We had salad, pasta and ravioli. Mmmh, fantastic. We loved it.

This spot is great for dinner. Came around 8pm on a Tuesday without a reservation (may want to make one during high tourist season though). Vincenzo (owner) was so kind and welcoming. I enjoyed my …
We ate here with 4 friends, all ordered pasta or risotto, all plates were of very good quality and the service was good. Better than eating at some of the tourist traps in the center.
Staff was super friendly and the food we tried was delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming and warm. Would definitely recommend and visit again!
The food, atmosphere, staff and owner were all absolutely great! My friends and I showed up without a reservation (our original birthday dinner plan fell through), and we were able to get a table o…
We dined here twice. The first meal was a solid 5. The pasta al la carbonara was delicious, not the best but very good, (not enough sauce). We also got the rolled stuffed beef (rondelles) which had a wine reduction sauce and a side of eggplants, this was a slam dunk, it was perfection in a dish. Lastly we tried the fried t bone steak and it was wonderful, good flavor and texture, would recommend this. Desert was good and we left happy. The second time we went the meal started off with a drink that had a small bug in the bottom of the glass. they corrected this and apologized. Then game the rolled stuffed sword fish (rondelles). This fish was not fresh I could smell its stink before even trying it, we didn't finish eat much of this. It wasnt so old that it made us sick, but rather made it taste and smell bad. Then came the ravoli's, they where small, and with little filling, but unoffensive, it was OK. The raviolis did come with clams which we did enjoy. We ended up ordering more food since we didnt finish the first dish and got lasagna, this was good and I would recommend it, at this point in my trip it was the better of the 2 lasagnas I had tried and was really really good. The grilled vegetable was not bad at all. Finally we tried the charcuterie board with meat and cheese which was decent. Finished the meal with Panna cotta with caramel which was ok, but a bit too sweet. Another small insect got into my water at the end of the meal, lots of insects that night, even inside I guess. The owner was a very nice guy and comped our drinks and also gave us free drinks at the end to help make up for the issues. Id say first experience was 5 stars and second experience was 3 stars, so 4 stars seems correct.
We went twice, first night was beef roundoulettes, the steak Milanese and pasta carbonara with tiramisu dessert, and the meal was 5 stars. So we went back, but the experience was slightly less perfect. Second night we got the swordfish roudoulettes which were very disappointing (the fish didn’t taste super fresh, and was a bit dry) and the seafood ravioli (which was great tasting, but the ravioli had quite a bit of extra pasta at the corners (almost like a dumpling as it was folded in a triangle not a square) and so had a bit of extra thick chewiness. We also got the lasagna, which was the best lasagna either of us have ever eaten - truly delicious. Some grilled veg to round it out :) In all, absolutely worth a visit - get the lasagna and the Milanese steak.

Many restaurants in this area , ones beside ones , I took advantage of The Fork's 20% discount to try it. Good I ate a hot salad of octopus and delicious tuna rolls
Made a reservation via The Fork and got a little discount off the bill. That’s a pleasant surprise! For 2 of us, we ordered the lobster lasagna and lamb ribs. Lobster was nicely done and not overcooked, the lasagna was perfect. As for the lamb ribs, it’s very dry and not much flavour to it. So I do not recommend it unless you crave for meat. Would go for clam pasta if I have another opportunity. We ended the meal with tiramisu which was a nice finale.
