The short ribs were so tender and the fresh grilled vegetables complimented it wonderfully. New York strip steak was very lean, cooked mid rare as I requested and was so juicy with the perfect amount of seasoning. The wings were hot and crispy and absolutely delicious. Beautiful decor, great atmosphere and the service was top notch.
Everything we order was absolutely delicious 😋. Service is A+ Comfortable atmosphere. Decent portions. This is now my favorite go to restaurant in Milford PA. Love you!
The building, itself, was very alluring. The ambiance within is beautiful with a historic vibe. The food was amazing. The fried calamari app was done well, without any chewiness or fishiness to it and, the Bianca pie was so flavorful! Like, shockingly tasty, with smoked mozz used to top the ricotta. It was delicious, I highly recommend. My son got the cheese burger, and loved it, while my husband ordered the beef stroganoff and demolished it. The main entrees were a little pricey, but the food was worth it, and the pizza and apps were well priced. The service was great too. We'll definitely be going back the next time we're in town.
I live 15 minutes east of Boston. A few times a year I travel back home to western Pennsylvania to see family and friends. On a good day it is about a 9-hour drive, but this day I got a late start, so I decide midway to find a hotel, then continue my journey the following day. I am painstaking selective when choosing the “perfect” hotel to stay at. After all, I was traveling alone so it was important I found a town and hotel I felt safe. 1. I prefer a B & B’s or Historic Inns; I would rather continue to drive than stay in at hotel chain. 2. Parking needs to be about a 1-minute way from the front door 3. And a place that has a bar and restaurant on site is perfect! I researched at a few places in Milford, PA, and decided that I would drive by my top 3 hotel picks, if I found parking nearby that is where I would stay, and that place was The Historic Dimmick Inn! The minute I walked in the door I knew I had made the right choice! Host station was friendly and helpful, one young man even helped me getting my bag to my room which was on the 2nd floor, I forgot his name, but regardless I wanted to send a special thank you for all his help Bartenders were great, engaging and very genuine, and my fish dinner was out of this world, as good as the best fish dinner in Boston, I thought about that damn dinner for days it was that good, in fact it was so good I was even thinking about ordering a take out on my return trip! I had the pleasure of sitting by a lovely couple at the bar from Brooklyn who recently moved to the area, they spoke so highly of the area, the town and the Inn, they were just great. The Dimmick Inn is now my recommendation for our friends and family that want a great place to hang their hat for a night when traveling up to Boston for a visit. I will see you folks again when my husband and I travel back through, please keep the fish dinner on the menu! Until then, thank all of you for your kindness and hospitality during my stay. San PS my room was amazing!
Such a great experience! We stopped here for lunch as we were attending an event at Grey Towers, and are glad we did! We ordered a "Pig and Fig" pizza and a smoked trout appetizer. I can't wait to go back! Our server was lovely and attentive as well. We sat by the fireplace, so warm and cozy. Loved this place! Prices were very reasonable too.
We moved to Milford PA eight years ago and visited this charming eatery on a recommendation from a neighbor. From the minute you walk in to the time you leave it is a dining experience from the warm friendly staff to the delicious food right down to most fantastic steak knife you will ever hold in your hand. It’s run by a family that is bursting with kindness from nana down to all the grandkids…beautiful. We stop in frequently and last night my wife and I wanted a small bite so we had the pretzel (my favorite) fish tacos (also, my favorite) and salad with grilled chicken (my wife’s favorite) I was so excited I ate one taco and dug into the pretzel before I took the picture. Highly recommend this restaurant. PS try the Pizza..
Dinner at the Historic Dimmick Inn was fantastic. The *Fig and Pig* stole the show—perfectly balanced sweet and savory flavors that I’m still thinking about. We sat on the porch beneath candy-striped awnings and soft string lights, which gave the whole evening a warm, welcoming glow. From the attentive service to the charming historic setting, every detail felt thoughtful and relaxed (though there is a lot of bustling traffic—which fades if you’re in good company). If you’re anywhere near town, treat yourself to the Fig and Pig and linger under those lights—it’s the kind of meal and atmosphere you’ll want to savor long after the last bite.
My wife and I were passing though town and decided to stop by for lunch. Great choice! I ordered the Vegan Beyond Burger was delicious! I believe the chipotle aioli dressing that extra flavor. My wife ordered the Braised Short Ribs and was very HAPPY with her choice. If we ever pass through again, this will DEFINITELY be the first placevwe would choose.
Been wanting to come here for years and finally made the time to come. I’ve been missing out for a long time, absolutely fantastic experience. Atmosphere is wonderful and clean, spacious. Bathrooms were spotless. Food was incredible, we started with the soft pretzel appetizer, outstanding. I ordered the Veal Chop special which was delicious. Wife ordered the bucatini pasta which was delicious and the vegetables were very fresh. Service was fast and friendly. Place is a solid 5/5.
This past weekend, 7/5/25, we held a small bridal shower for our daughter in the Loft area. It was absolutely amazing. We felt like we had the entire place to ourselves and loved the outside deck area. There were plenty of attentive staff who made sure each detail was taken care of! The food was amazing and we all enjoyed it so much. Thank you for being a facility that takes pride in what you offer and truly want to have happy customers.
We had a fantastic dinner at The Historic Dimmick Inn! The meatball appetizer was absolutely delicious, tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Definitely get bread if you order the meatballs because you’re going to want to dip. We followed it up with their pizza, and Wow! These pies are the real deal. Crispy, cheesy, and loaded with flavor. Great service and a cozy, historic vibe made the night even better. A must-visit in Milford!
We love this restaurant. We asked for seating outside. It was a nice little nook area along the street. The service was excellent! Kyle, our server, was very attentive and friendly. The food was truly excellent! The french onion soup was delicious. There was so much cheese and such a nice, mild onion flavor. As my entree, I ordered the filet mignon, and it was cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the strip steak, which was equally excellent!! Just the way I asked for. The bartender did a great job with my gin and tonic!! We completed our meal with a luscious slice of cheesecake with strawberry drizzle on top and a cup of coffee. If it's a nice day and not too hot, we would recommend eating outside for the ambiance. Overall, our dining experience was top-notch, and we will definitely be back!!
First time dining at the Inn and it was wonderful. We sat on the porch outside. Service was excellent. The atmosphere was nice and all our food was amazing. We shared the fried calamari which was tasty and tender. My fiance loved the pepperoni pizza which they make in an actual wood stove. The roasted oysters were amazing and probably the best I've had outside of New Orleans. Finished up with the calzone which was filled with delicious smoked mozzarella and prosciutto. Can't wait to go back!
Went for the first time for my birthday dinner. Pizza was amazing and the parmigiana with red sauce pasta was good. The portion of parmigiana with pasta was big. Could be a little less cheese on top. Food came fast and warm which was great! Service was friendly and professional. The ambient is very cozy and organized. Will come back again!

We had dinner here after a long day of hiking around waterfalls. We each had a salad and both were very good. and prices were reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant.
The atmosphere here is cozy and inviting. I felt like being in a beautiful historic home. The hostesses and waitress were attentive and friendly and even the food servers were friendly, polite, and attentive. The food wax delicious. We had their pizza and ievt was fantastic. It was thin and crispy, just how we love it. We met family there and live an hour away, but we will definitely go back even though there is only street parking which was the only downside.
I have been going to this place ever since 2021 I enjoy this location overall as it is a beautiful historic restaurant. The reason why I give service for stars is because of one incident of a very, very long blonde hair on top of our pizza, but other than that food is delicious, and I would definitely recommend the brick oven pizza as well as a fried calamari. French onion soup is also very good as well. no, for dessert I would highly recommend the lava cake as well as the peanut butter pie.
I’ve been here a few times when I’m in the area, and it’s always a solid choice. The restaurant is huge, has plenty of seating, so even when it’s busy you don’t feel crowded, and the prices are very fair for what you get. The food is consistently delicious, their calamari is my favorite and always cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. If there’s one area that could use some improvement, it’s the service. The staff is polite and they get the job done, but they don’t seem particularly engaged or enthusiastic. It almost feels like they’re just there to complete the basic tasks rather than making the experience warm or welcoming. Still, despite that, it’s a great place to eat and definitely worth returning to.
During my visit to the inn over the holiday season, I was truly captivated by the enchanting decorations that adorned every corner. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by twinkling lights and carefully arranged ornaments, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The staff members were not only attentive but also remarkably quick to respond to our needs, making the experience even more enjoyable. I must highlight the soups; they were absolutely fabulous! Each spoonful was rich in flavor, and the seasonal ingredients really shone through, leaving a lasting impression. Additionally, I took the opportunity to try some of the seasonal cocktails offered at the bar. They were expertly crafted and beautifully presented, adding a delightful twist to our dining experience. Overall, it was a wonderful holiday getaway filled with excellent service and delicious food and drinks.
We were all pleased with our lunch out on the front porch. Tacos, burgers, and the trout were all tasty. Service was polite and efficient. I would definitely eat there again!

Sophia is so awesome, excellent kind and helpful customer service!!! The chain smoking 80 looking-yr old lady at the table outside next to us smoked 7 cigarettes right at the steps in the front by the ash tray on the sidewalk, it was awful. The food & service was great tho! They really do need to have no smoking signs , that is totally unacceptable.

I went here today for a south western burger and fries, I called them ahead of arrival, and I ask for the burger meat to be cooked well done! When I bite in to it, I felt a cold chill in my teeth! The meat was no where near well done. It was cold and pink in the whole center when I split the burger in half. Look at this picture and tell me what you guys think?
