Good quality and quantity. The fried rice is bigger than some other restaurants. Other dishes are good also. This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. Thanks Koong's!!
Koongs food is amazingly delicious. The atmosphere is casual and the owner really cares about quality food. We have been to many chinese restaurants in the Bay Area, this is our favorite! A few of our favorites, MaPo tofu, green beans with pork, moo-shu pork, salt & pepper fish, fish with chili sauce, Seafood black bean noodles, Vegetable Deluxe, Broccoli beef... they have handled this pandemic time really well and are so appreciated by the community!
Excellent food. Won Ton Soup was delish. As was Chicken Salad. Dressing was perfect. Pot stickers cooked with just enough crispness. Will definitely come back again!
Great tasting food at good price. Especially their lunch specials are great. Cashew Prawns is excellent!
Great little place. Prices are about average, quantity is massive. We ordered 3 dishes and ended up eating that for leftovers for several days. Generous serving sizes and food quality was great. Food was shockingly good. Like way better than our expectations going in. Staff was super nice, place didn't seem busy at all when we had gone in. I'd definitely recommend trying it if you haven't! Could be your new favorite spot.
Great food, great service. We couldn't make up our mind where to eat as many places were not dine in. We are very pleased with our selection. Eggrolls are crispy, hot&sour soup just right and chow main really tasty. Some of the dishes were on the saltier side, but it might be just me
Had wonton soup, dumplings, beef chow fun and combination rice. Excellent! Well prepared ingredients and with the delicious kiss of the wok! Try to dine in, the decor is meh but the service is great. Adding: once again delicious. Wonton soup, shrimp pork dumplings, combo chow mein, broccoli beef, walnut shrimp with the $4 combo for soup, fried rice and egg roll. Not cheap but good value. Tasty leftovers. Staff is very helpful in packing food to go.
I have been going there for years . Love the salt and pepper fish, lemon chicken ,war wonton soup, honey walnut prawns ,chicken fried rice, string beans, pot stickers.....etc. fast service reasonable prices for now days.
Friendly staff, great food, moderate pricing. I really am happy to find this place as I was looking for a new Chinese restaurant, as I was unsatisfied with my old establishment. Food is cooked to order and the menu is well thought out, I'm sure that you will enjoy dining in with family or take home to relax at your residence.
First timer here, even though I order food to go. The restaurant look and smell clean. Food quality was perfect and very tasty, also food portions were just right. Definitely will be returning.
We are so glad that we found this place today! Our Houston memories are revived 😄 We ordered egg flower soup, Chicken fried rice, vegetable chow mein and egg rolls. And EVERYTHING was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS 😍 It will be our go to place for comfort food!
I always enjoy my tofu with green strip beans , and hot tea , mmmm always cook perfectly
Lovely food, not too crowded place, great chef, and nice flavors. So many options in their Vegie menu, and unbelievably soft tofu. Couldn't have hoped for something better, this afternoon.
good food at reasonable prices; less oil and salt than other restaurants so it feels healthier. Solid service
Me and my son, we had good time at Koongs with black bean sauce noodle. Love it!
The service here was quick and friendly and the portions were great for family style. We ordered the green beans, wings, beef chow fun, sizzling rice soup. The beef chow fun and green beans could have been a bit more seasoned, but they were still delicious. Overall great experience!
After seeing the good reviews, I decided to grab some takeout from this place. I got the green beans, but I messed up and ordered them fried somehow. I also got the hot and sour soup + egg roll + fried rice add-on, and the fried chicken wings. The green beans were very well prepared and tasted okay, but they just weren't what I had in mind. I'm gonna go back and get them without the breading next time. They were VERY plentiful, though. The egg roll was much better than your typical one. The soup tasted like most other hot and sour soups, so it also wasn't my favorite. I'll try the won ton next time. The fried rice was much better than average. Finally, the chicken wings were some of the best I have had in a long time. Perfectly cooked, tasty, crunchy. I'd go there just for those any day. Finally, the venue was clean and the gentleman at the counter was very nice. I will be back.
The food and service were really good. I had the black bean noodles. It was delicious. The jellyfish salad was yum bit so much wasabi in it. And the dry fried chicken wings were bomb.
I really enjoy the seafood noodle soup! So much seafood inside. Soup is so delicious. Noodles have a great chewy feeling. You can tell it's old style cooking that you don't find in many restaurants now. Nowadays new restaurants are expensive with little food inside. This one definitely worth the price!
Drop by twice and the food here won’t let you down! Fair price with sufficient and delicious specialities, clean environment!
This is my favorite Chinese place in the area. Good prices, great food. Perfect lunch specials!
Great food, attentive servers. Got the manderian dinner for two an added chicken chow mein. Two people for $50. Not bad at all.

A great Chinese Korean restaurant. All the foods are yummy.
Koong's restaurant 103 N Milpitas Blvd, Milpitas, CA 95035 We had an early dinner. Restaurant had one other couple in the dining room. We were greeted quickly and served promptly. Atmosphere was quiet, food was delicious, price was reasonable, and service was warm. We ate the hot and sour soup & Mongolian beef meal. We will eat here again soon.
We ordered take out from this place and wok hei was 🔥🔥🔥. The smell and the taste was great. Will come back again.

My go to place for chowmein and fried rice. Loved also the garlic chicken wings. Reasonable prices. Recently updated inside. Very nice and clean interior.
Sadly, the owner told us that Koong's is closing on 2/10/25.
Tiny place, but woman seems bothered by my question about the menu, telling me not to order something if I don't know what it is. Portions were adequate and flavors ok, but broccoli beef a little bland but tender and plentiful Portions of meat.
I probably give to them 5⭐️ because the food it’s really good and fresh, price are reasonable and portion are fare for the price. Unfortunately they don’t pay to much attention on to go orders details, like when you ask for extra sauce, plates or utensils they are un consistency with it. I understand extras are many I don’t ask for free but if you order it please charge for it and sent it or don’t add it in your to go menu at no charge and then don’t send it I will continue ordering because I like the food
The food was decent. I ordered a couple lunch specials (garlic fish and string beans with pork). Each was served with an option of soup, steamed rice, or egg fried rice. The string beans were very greasy. Still, the flavors were good.
Decent place for a quick lunch/ dinner. The menu has a good variety of choices. The service was good. I tried Kungpao chicken.. the set lunch menu, it was good. It was on the spicy side as the menu indicated. I liked the seating arrangement with number of 2 person and 4 person table and a round table for bigger group. I will visit in future.
I’m writing a review for the delivery service is only because I never really been here. Delivery comes usually on time with no issues. The same time forget but that’s understandable every once in a while. I love the food here think the very generous with quantities and over well I’m happy with the service.
Great family owned restaurant with both Chinese and Korean cuisine. The Jjambbong spicy seafood noodle was so yummy! The portion is big too. Fried chicken taste good too.
I came here in search of one thing and that’s Fried Chicken. Came in right before dinner time so it wasn’t too busy. We got the Dry Fried Chicken Wings and you have to also always have some veggies as well so we got the sautéed String Beans. The Green Beans were really good and the fried chicken was cooked well. I enjoyed the sauce that the chicken wings were tossed in. As we ate towards the end of our meal, there were many more customers that came in to site down and others came in to pick up some takeout. This is a family owed small business that is super nice and remembers returning regulars so you have a home like experience. Overall, I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area and looking for some Fried Chicken Wings. The interior is a little dated and can use a bit of updating but I wouldn’t let it deter you from stopping by to try their food.
Large portion sizes. It seems like it's catered for customers that don't want anything too seasoned. An example is that they allow you to choose how much of the sauce for the honey walnut prawns you want to add. Another example is that most dishes I had from fried rice to noodles didn't seem flavorful (compared to other chinese restaurants in the bay). This is something that can be easily fixed at home with some salt and pepper, but not sure how it is if you dine in. Overall, a 4 star for taste, but I'd still recommend this for those who prefer a ligher palette since they offer generous portion sizes.
The black bean noodle was good, and big portions, and the price was not too expensive.
Been going here for years. Consistently good. Had the sweet and sour pork today, yum. Interior looks spruced up now. Like it.

It was ok. The food was kind of bland on top of being overpriced. I ordered pork fried rice and salt and pepper wings. Wings just tasted like salt and the pork fried rice was made on a budget with little pork cutlets. There are way better Chinese and Korean spots in the area that are authentic.
I've been on a hunt to try all the places that serve jajangmyeon in the south bay. The dishes at Koong's are, if you've been, very similar to Tong Soon garden, definitely that mix of korean-chinese where you have the option of which style. That being said I wasn't too impressed with the taste. I usually order jajangmyeon, tangsuyuk and ganppung saeu (dry fried shrimp) dishes. At Koong's, the flavor of the JJM is not what I'm used to, it was maybe a little too tangy(?) and lacking umami-sweetness, if that makes sense. The tangsuyuk wasn't crispy, as if the oil had seeped into the batter and softened it (as you might expect if some time has passed, but maybe I didn't pick it up soon enough). The shrimp however was tasty and that's something I would order again. Overall the food was ok, but not as good as others I've had.
I thought it was Korean-style Chinese food, but there are many differences. LIANG ZHANG PI is plentiful and tastes as ordinary as we imagined. The sweet and sour pork was very disappointing. It wasn't a Korean-style sauce, the batter was a bit hard, and the meat had a bad smell because it wasn't seasoned. However, the quick and friendly service from the servers is really great. I plan to try different food on my next visit.
it was delicious but.. the noodles were really soggy, the black bean sauce needed more taste.. the dumplings resembled more like the ling ling dumplings at costco.. the flavor was good though.. i mean put salt and garlic on anything you're pretty much making it delicious already. decent place. food tastes good, service is excellent, but if you try the place.. you might know why i gave it 3 stars..
Black noodle, spicy noodle and sweet and sour beef is very good but not this food. Took them to make about 40 minutes but we were very disappointed.

The food is pretty good, but they need to be more careful in their preparation. I ordered chow mein to go, and somehow a fairly large metal wire was in it (see photo of wire on a paper towel). My mom bit into it and it poked her in the gums. Thankfully she didn't swallow it. Hopefully others have had a better experience there, but I don't think I'll be back anytime soon.
Small Chinese-Korean restaurant tucked away in a non-descript shopping plaza in Milpitas. Interior is dated, dark, and the table was sticky. The surprisingly large menu has both traditional Chinese and Korean dishes, but the soup was very bland, and the noodles very average. Bonchan was subpar. Efficient service. Large free parking lot.

The food was actually really good, above average for Chinese food. We ordered the Mandarin Dinner Set (for 2) which was actually so much food I thought it would be able to feed a family of four. And it was so cheap, I would have expected to pay at least $10 more for it, though I'd rather they reduce the portions for the dinner for 2. But I'm giving one star because of poor service which I mentioned to the cashier. There were 3 waiters but they mostly spent time in the kitchen. When we arrived there was no one who could greet us at the door. *There could have been wait-list to put your name down.* Once we were seated, the waiters were busy bringing food out for other tables, they didn't even give us a menu and set the table with utensils. We waited about 10 minutes before we got one menu for two of us. *There could have been menus near the tables or at the front of the restaurant to save time* *There could have been utensils on the table which we could take for ourselves.* Then we waited another 10-20 minutes to order our food and realized that there were some folks who arrived at the restaurant before us who hadn't ordered yet. The waiters were still spending half the time in the kitchen and we saw one go to the kitchen to pack 3 plates of To-Go boxes. Personally, I think it's great service to pack food for the customer but since there were so many people waiting, the waiters are not effectively using their time. *The customers could pack our own food if we were given our own boxes.* After we finished our meal (which was too much for 2), we decided to pack our own food, so the waitors could attend to other customers. Many customers also went to the counter to pay because the entire restaurant knew they were understaffed (and incredibly inefficient). I'm actually really sad writing this review because I really enjoyed the food. I'm hoping that they could improve their service based on the points I mentioned above or by hiring twice as many staff. I look forward to the next time I visit so that I can change my review to 5 stars.
Saturday, April 8th I bought two eggs rolls and a Chineese Ckicken Salad. The eggs rolls were Extremely GREASY and very mushy inside. Worst eggs rolls I ever tasted! The Chineese Salad consisted of Ice Berg lettuce thrown on fried tastless schredded chicken add a dash of noodles & a pich of cashews & sauce. I would not come here again.
