I love the chicken salad sandwich. The yeast rolls are the best. So much more to offer than fried chicken and it's all good. If you're a senior, all about the senior special that isn't listed on the menu. I haven't ordered from the app yet but it looks simple, not sure if it's coordinated well or not but I plan on checking it out soon.

Only place I go to get fried chicken in Mineral Wells. Chicken express always gets my orders wrong and give me cold, soggy food. Golden Chick serves me fresh food every time! The workers there clearly care about the customers and I couldn’t recommend them more!!

I'm glad that your restaurant offers a senior meal deal, the service is great and quick, the only thing I sometimes have an issue with is that if the chicken has been fried a little to long, the batter can be hard for me to eat, as I have dentures. Love the corn nuggets and batter fries

I go to mineral wells store 6-7 days a week for my 31 yr old autistic son. The Staff are amazing. I do NOT like the new containers for tender meal. The gravy needs to be in a separate container. If I move the box gravy gets on the chicken, roll and fries. It is messy. My son won’t eat it with gravy on top and neither would I. There is no good way to get the container home without gravy everywhere. Please go back to the old way or figure out a way to separate the gravy.

I’ve never gone into the building to order. I always go to the drive-through to order. My most recent trip was perfect, as usual. Michael was extremely pleasant and polite both at the speaker and the window. I got the 9 piece special of thighs and legs, all roasted. It was absolutely delicious as usual. I get the roasted because I’m trying to maintain a low carb diet. If you’ve never had their roasted chicken, you should give it a try. I believe that what sets Golden Chick apart from other chicken restaurants is their variety of options. Besides roasted and fried chicken they have fish and all kinds of stuff. If you’ve never tried Golden Chick, check ‘em out. If you’ve never haven’t been there in a while, go get some from the place that for years was ranked as the best chicken in Mineral Wells.

The management and the staff are all top notch. I stopped here for lunch while on an out of town work trip, and the staff was gracious and kind. The chicken tenders were incredibly fresh and delicious, and the dirty rice was spot on. I will definitely stop here again if I find myself in mineral wells looking for food.

My overall experience was great. However, I am going to depart from my usual way of rating restaurants. Choosing a fast food restaurant, I was not aiming for excellent quality. The chicken was dry as it had probably sat on a heat lamp for an extended period of time. But the fries were very very very fresh, served nice and hot. A big downer which I did not bring up die to how kind the staff was was that the bread was almost room temperature and had also been under a heatl amp which likely even dried the butter off. So food was a 3 out of 10, this time. The experience was great.

Got 10 PC dark. Usually don't eat the entire leg as one side is too tough to chew (dog happy). Today all legs were awesome and tender, good thing as I only received 3 thighs this time. 7/3 ratio for 18.99 don't quite seem right, but on the upside, food has gotten much better in the last 6 months. Thank you!!

We both had the 3 piece fried catfish plate that comes with 2 sides. The sweet tea isn't too sweet and tasted fresh even at 5 pm. They have free soft serve ice cream for dine in customers. The employees are friendly and it seems the owners appreciate their employees by the sign they have on the counter that mentions thanking them. And the place is clean.

The people here are super nice and the food is great, there is a wait but it’s due to understaffing, I wouldn’t mind paying a little more for the food if there can be more help in the restaurant because this is one of my favorite chicken chains (and Pepsi is 🔥)

We've been waiting for the dinning room to open, and noticed it was so we stopped in. The chicken is always good. Order the grilled chicken, but when I went back up to ask for BBQ sauce I was informed that they were $.25 each. I told her I only needed 2 and did not have any cash on me. So I gave her my card. She said I had to get 4 because they couldn't run it for less than $1.00. I had to go out to my car and find some change. Make sure to order your sauces with your meal because they won't give then for free like other places.

Im a chicken tender lover so I decided to stop by here and give it a try. Overall not too bad and the only reason I gave it a 3 ⭐️ was because the fries were a bit greasy. I do plan on visiting again and will update my rating afterwards. I would recommend a quick bite here.

I love golden chick but it never fails they always mess up my order and forget something! I called them to talk to manger rude man ! I was explaining what I was missing he was like oh well ! I could go pick up what they forgot or just do without! This happens to me all the time I go there !

Best chicken ever, staff is always great, restaurant always clean, they have had YEARS of my unfailing devotion. 3 stars because they have "gone corporate" and aren't allowed to take orders over the phone anymore. An app was recommended (I am not adding another app to my already over-apped phone), and then the website was recommended - neither will be helpful when I'm tired and driving home from work, and just want to simply order supper over the phone. Big thumbs down to whoever made this decision. 👎

Food was good but 3 of the 12 tenders were literally just the breading and very small we were not given plates with our family meal even though he said he'd be right back but the lady after a while saw we didn't have plates and brought some with an apologize Sweet Tea was on point and chicken salad sandwich was so delicious. The free ice cream is always a plus kids loved it. This place has the potential to be a 5 star so I will edit this review next time we go. I do want to mention the lady at the front counter was on point kind and very efficient.

Don't get the roasted chicken. Something weird tasting about it. Fried chicken was pretty good for fast food chicken. Green beans were good. Not really had anything else to comment on. Service was nothing special, but not bad. Pretty quick, didn't have to wait long. Just your average chicken place.

All the food was good, but they only have me an individual size gravy for 25 chicken tenders and family size mashed potatoes. You would think for $43 they would give you enough gravy for the chicken and potatoes. 2 out of 7 people got gravy on their potatoes, nobody got heavy for their chicken.

The people 'working' tonight were a joke! They just stood around joking for 10 minutes while I just stood there! My chicken was cold and dry and I didn't get a roll! They will never get my business again!! Y'all can do better!

The inside of the restaurant was nasty. Their fountain machine for customers to use list down leaking icewater all in the floor and not been mopped I slept told them it needed to be mopped up. The manager employees were screaming at each the associates behind the counter were rude stares at the customers weren't very eager to help. The bathroom was nasty no toilet paper. Ordered a chicken salad sandwich today. That was always my go to I loved their sandwich before. Granted they gave me texas pecan that i didnt order. Today that was the most god awful taste horrible sandwich. Huge pecans the base was watery and honestly sour tasting. I had to throw it away after 1 bite. The bun was stale horrible horrible sandwich.i stopped eating the chicken from here before because it tasted like old oil and fish. Well guess I will never go back as nothing ever changes even with reviews.

Ordered 2 meals, one with catfish other with shrimp. $27. Ok. There is a lot of breading on both of those items so not much that was actually fish or shrimp. The coleslaw was cabbage mix with mostly vinegar, and nothing else. Even with the vingar, the cabbage was pretty dry and really not tasty. The French fries were old, dry and tough. One roll was also dry, other was ok.

Well ordered online 1hr 15 mins before i got off work so would be ready when I got there,nope! They all acted like it was a brand new order,though my ticket was posted!! No one was wearing gloves,rubbing face,touching things,older man looked like he was trying to get everyone to work..but it was just a mess!woman was at the window chit chatting, and the boy at the register acted sooo lost!! I couldn't believe anything I was seeing!! Only gave a star cuz couldn't post this without.

Drive thru worker extremely rude ! We were missing 2 rolls and a tea with our large chicken order from the night before near closing time and the next morning I told them about if she says she needs the leftover chicken back to even give me what was missing ! How disgusting!! I even had the receipt but she says she needs the chicken back but I wasn’t even complaining abt the chicken !Plus it was the night before it was eaten ! nothing was wrong with it, but why would you even accept chicken that was taken to someone’s house ? I am so disappointed. My granddaughter told me that our Golden Chick was sold to corporate and everything had changed, but not for the better. I had to find out if what she told me was true. I ordered a family size chicken salad. Unfortunately she was right. The wonderful chicken salad is not what we are used to. It was very bland. My favorite part were the grapes. As I transferred it to a better container I counted a sum total of 3, yes 3, grape halves. If I have to add to theirs to make it palatable, I might as well make my own or buy H‑E‑B's I ordered two rolls so I could make sandwiches tomorrow. They are not the same either. These looked like someone grabbed them with their hands and scrunched them into a ball. Not the beautiful golden rolls we are used to. I also ordered a 4 piece chicken strip combo with okra. No okra, fries instead, which I never order. I usually give my boxer a couple bites of chicken because you can easily peel the coating off. Not anymore. I don't know what they have done but it definitely isn't OUR GOLDEN CHICK. I won't be back.

We visited this place 1 week a go. We ordered our chicken. Got 16 piece tender for the kids and my husband and I got the 8 piece fried chicken. After sitting there for 20 or so mins they came out to our table only to tell us they didn't have fried chicken did we want something different. They did give us a full refund and our gallon of tea was free but how do you make us wait 20 mins to tell us you didn't have fried chicken. It was 6pmish. We were the only people inside. They had customers in drive thru but by no means were they busy. I'd recommend asking if they have what you want before you order it.

GM needs to manage his product period they sell spoiled and undercooked chicken one customer got a chicken patty that was green... Freaking green that is spoiled and rotting that is disgusting 🤢 be warned avoid this place if you don't want to get sick I've gotten multiple chicken sandwiches from here that have been undercooked and partially raw. And the company owner doesn't need to respond to this review it's already too late for this establishment.

I use to love their catfish. Today I got 2 pc catfish with fries a side salad. Not only did I get 2 tiny pieces of greasy fish about 8 French fries and a side salad. 1 tartar sauce no ketchup. And the price is ridiculous!!!! I’m so so disappointed!

I order the 10 pieces . With 2 sides and I also order an extra side wich I never get, and they charge me 6.00 for it !! They make me wait 10 minutes for son rolls!! I had to ask for a drink. I don’t knw if the order includes a drink but they never ask me if I want drink so.. I spent 40 dlls for 10 pcs of chicken . 2 sides and 4 rolls!! So over priced and no many options of a combos !! This was mi first and last time there !! Doesn’t worth it!!! 👎

They were nice to give a discount bc of the wait and when we got home we're missing gravy so we called and they did give us a discount but they only gave 4 rolls total for 2 separate family meals. They took away the 25 piece and only do 20 now and the tenders are so small. Ever since they took over from the franchise this place has been awful but the people working are as nice as they can be.

Was very disappointed. Service was good but the food was not what I was expecting. Why is it when you go to a fast food place in a smaller town, the food is never as good as it is in the city? My favorite in San Antonio was Golden Chick but I just moved back uo here and this Golden Chick has a lot of work to do. The tea was good, the fries good but would've been better if they had been hot and the chicken sandwich, the main part of my meal was horrible. The bun was hard and darker then it should be. The chicken crust not crispy like it should be and don't even get me started on how much gristle it had. I've eaten a lot of Golden Chick and this was the only time the food has been bad. Don't know what they are doing different from the ones in San Antobio but I will not be a returning customer. If this town knew how good its suppose to taste I promise this place wouldn't be in business.

The “chicken” tenders were about as thick as a pencil, burnt, and completely inedible. My husband had already eaten a few fries before I took the picture, but even then, the portion size for nearly $12/meal is insane. The rolls don’t taste good anymore either, they’re clearly frozen and probably microwaved. My 2 year old wouldn’t touch the fries or the mac and cheese, which honestly says everything. The Lotta Zing “sauce” now just tastes like mayo with a couple of seasonings thrown in. I don’t know if we caught this place on an off night or what, (there was no one in the drive thru and 2 cars in the parking lot) but we won’t be returning. Spending $30 for two meals and an extra side is already outrageous, but getting food this bad on top of it makes it even worse.

I’m sure glad I was asked to do a survey because this was the worst meal I’ve had in a long time. I ordered the three piece chicken tender meal and two sides which included a salad. The salad was terrible with most of the lettuce being the hard clump. The chicken tenders were terrible, I think they were bad. The fries were fine so I don’t think it was the oil it was fried in, it was actually bad chicken. Won’t be going to Golden Chick for a very long time. Server was very kind, however.
