A magical place, far from the chaos of the city, you're immediately transported to this small inn built entirely of wood. It feels like you've traveled back in time. I'd been away for years, but I was sure I'd find the same atmosphere. You're immediately greeted by the friendly innkeepers, and this already takes away the disconnect that can arise when you go to any place, where tradition and form tend to be more formal. At Skansen, you immediately feel like you're at a friend's house. The cuisine is authentic and uses high-quality ingredients, something you can't help but notice from the simple tomato. There's no menu; the spirit of Skansen is precisely that of recreating what once happened in inns of old: that is, you come in and eat what the innkeeper has to offer, and then go back on your journey. The dishes are simple, nothing particularly elaborate, but everything is very pleasant, from appetizer to dessert. I could go on and on describing the many little details I appreciated, but I don't want to ruin the magic for those who don't know what to expect. I recommend the experience to everyone, at least once. If you understand the magic of the place, then I'm sure you'll return. Have a good trip.

Magic always keeps its door open. Truly, always. Finding it is up to us. (Banana Yoshimoto) I truly found magic here! It's hard to imagine the atmosphere of this place; you have to experience it for yourself. A unique experience of excellent management and excellent cuisine. The dishes are simple but carefully prepared, using local, mostly self-produced ingredients; the rustic welcome is genuine, not artificial as is often the case; the family management is, to say the least, welcoming. Stepping out of the car, you feel catapulted into a parallel world and immediately find yourself in tune with the other diners, as if being there already means you have something strong in common. I had a wonderful evening and will return as soon as I can ❤️

A fairytale place just outside Rome. My girlfriend took me here for my birthday and couldn't have chosen a better place. As you can see from the photos, it doesn't even feel like you're in Rome, completely immersed in nature and with entirely wooden structures. The atmosphere inside is beautiful, with a fireplace and stoves to warm you even on the coldest evenings. The owners are friendly and kind. Don't worry about the food; sit down and let them recommend the specials of the day—you won't be disappointed. It's definitely a place that has a whole new charm in winter, but it maintains all its magic in summer, too. The food is freshly prepared, so everything you eat, from appetizers to dessert, is freshly made and homemade. Book and go, and you'll be thankful you read this tip. Let me know how you like it. P.S. I went to eat at this restaurant with a couple of friends on January 1, 2023... I couldn't have started the new year off better! It's like stepping into their private home, filled with a variety of vintage items. The menu is set, with an appetizer already on the table, followed by a first course, second course, and dessert, all homemade—they even have a farm. The very kind owners explain everything to you, even offering life anecdotes!

Delightful restaurant, we visited over the Christmas holiday for meal with friends. The meal was amazing, real home style cooked food with the owners taking the time to speak with us and tell us about the dishes a little which was so nice. If you're looking for an inn, the answer is Skansen! Surrounded by greenery, very characteristic, and a family atmosphere that makes you feel at home, as is the kindness, helpfulness, and courtesy of the owners and staff. The cuisine is excellent, using locally sourced products of unsurpassed quality and deliciousness. The dishes are very generous, and if you book at least a week in advance, you can request Swedish dishes to savor, try, and enjoy. The Amaro at the end of the dinner is made by one of them using a recipe passed down for 110 years and is a delicious amaro, absolutely worth trying at least once in your life! The prices are VERY FAIR, and if you consider what you get between multi-course appetizers, first course, second course, side dish, wine, beer, water, dessert, coffee, and amaro (all very generous), and you don't even have to spend €40, it's fantastic! I went with friends, next time I'll go with family, and then I'll introduce it to other friends! I highly recommend it! Try it and believe it!

I'm absolutely in love with this place. I discovered it last year thanks to a friend, and I always return whenever I can. I especially enjoy introducing it to my loved ones who haven't yet had the pleasure of savoring their authentic, exquisite cuisine. The place is truly enchanting; you can relax and forget all the noise and hustle and bustle of everyday life, surrounded by their adorable cats and the kindness of the owners. The menu is fixed, so you can't choose what to eat. But as a vegetarian, I always call ahead to let them know, and I've never had any problems; they're truly so kind. I don't recommend it just to those who want a chic place where they can sit at the table for half an hour on their phone and then leave after a plate of pasta; that's definitely not the restaurant's goal (and personally, I'm happy with that). Otherwise, it's absolutely worth a try; it's a unique place that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on you and won't easily forget. :)

Not just a simple lunch but a 360 degree experience. More than good and sincere dishes without too many frills with excellent quality raw materials and home-made. The innkeepers, Father, mother (a wonderful cook) and son are truly hospitable and competent. You are welcomed in an environment worthy of a Viking fairy tale ... truly unique. A restaurant that is different from the conventions ... highly recommended (we 8 friends) ... we did not want to leave. We will return soon and often.

La gestione familiare con i proprietari molto amichevoli ed ospitali regala un'esperienza molto bella e "ruspante", si mangia quello che ha preparato la signora, bisogna calarsi nello spirito del posto per godersi davvero il tutto; i piatti sono come quelli di casa, tutti buoni e senza fronzoli.

An inn surrounded by greenery and nature where you can enjoy everything locally sourced. The fixed menu, for €28 per person, includes a generous appetizer, first course, second course, side dish, a huge jug of their own fine wine, and as much water as you want. We also ordered coffee and amaro, all harvested from their own land and cooked fresh. Don't ask for Coke, orange juice, or anything similar; forget about your cell phones and immerse yourself in the beautiful nature offered by the inn, where you can also buy fruit from their trees, jars of honey, and sauce made with tomatoes from their garden. What can I say? The food is excellent, with special homemade pasta and a very friendly, approachable, and welcoming staff. One of us was vegetarian, and they took care to change the menu with excellent alternatives. Great for those with children, with indoor seating available. The value for money is more than satisfactory, considering that everything is homemade.

An out of the ordinary experience. Very friendly restaurant owners who tell you about their animals, cuisine, philosophy ... basically back to nature!! Not for the sophisticated!! Wonderful food…
