First time for me, with friends who are already their customers and I must say that in this beautiful medieval village of Monferrato, the Rooster is a place you don't expect. A beautiful renovated rustic restaurant, with very refined furnishings in colors and style, which make the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Very positive first impression, quiet, elegant and silent environment: ideal for an evening with friends or "special occasions". The warmth of the family management is perceived from the welcome and even more in the service: truly top, polite and attentive. Excellent raw materials for our experience, with a knife-beaten Veal, Tagliolini ragù of Fassona and Brà sausage, Sliced ​​Piedmontese veal; all prepared excellently with good exaltation of the raw materials and plated with elegance. The chocolate mousse, fleur de sel and caramelized almonds is a delicious dessert, but the salt overwhelms the delicacy of the mousse, pushing it further and -perhaps- not for all palates. If I may make a small point, only for the homemade tagliolini (which is otherwise good), but I don't think it lends itself to a demanding sauce like the ragù of fassona and sausage, which would marry better with a more substantial piece. Good wine list and superlative Ruchè offered. The quality-price ratio in my opinion is excellent. A bit sacrificed the parking, even if there is possibility on the roadside. A nice experience that I feel like recommending and for which I will soon run again.

Friendly service, harmonious decor, and reasonable prices won us over! The food arrived quickly and was prepared with love and passion. The Piedmontese starter was enough for two, and we particularly enjoyed the vitello tonnato! The main courses were equally delicious and well-balanced in flavor. The dessert was excellent; you can't even think about the calories :-)) We'll be back!
