I work in Montgomery and live in Tallassee. I found this place a few years ago when our Chinese restaurant in Tallassee changed ownership. This is the best Chinese food!!!!, The owners are so nice and service is great! I continually order take out for my family and friends!!

Food quality has gone down hill. The take outs are always late. The kids behind the door (it’s closed like a fortress ) has no idea most of the time. I have been a loyal customer all these years but probably need to start looking for other options Update Jan 2025- better food and service

Ate here on Christmas night with some of my family (a party of 6) and it was incredibly busy. While we did have to wait a bit for our food (a party of 17 came in and we could hear several DoorDash orders arriving while we sat), our server attended to us calmly and kept his cool. My food was good and the broccoli was the perfect amount of firmness. Several people came in and complained about the wait and the restaurant staff maintained their calm and courteous demeanor despite it all. A thing to note is that we ordered water, soda, and lemonade — the lemonade came in a cup with ice, two of the sodas were canned, one was bottled, and all the water was bottled. Since this was my first time eating there, I’m not sure that is the usual practice. But you might check the price if you’re someone who orders water at restaurants to save money. Overall a good experience, and I would return to try it under calmer circumstances. (I had Szechuan pork)

***update still on the hunt for a regular Chinese spot. Sad day because we love this place but they use MSG, I had no idea any restaurants still used MSG. But unfortunately the affects are not worth their yummy food. 😢 This was the third Chinese restaurant we have tried in Montgomery and it’s by far the best. Happy to have found a consistently good favorite. We have really liked everything we have tried so far. Wonton soup, hot and sour soup, best wontons, lo-mein chicken and shrimp, generals and sesame chicken, fried dumplings, spring rolls, everything has been so good. We have been back now several times.

If it were not for the unexpected severe creaminess of the crab Rangoon filling the meal would have been ok. However, the rice was not that great to cover the unusual thick cream filling 🤮. Crab rangoons would usually have a chunky filling with visible pieces of herbs and crab meat. I have no clue what's inside of these and no one in our party liked nor ate the double order of rangoons.

Has anyone else noticed that their chicken is different? Used to be white meat that was tender and good. Now it’s dark meat that is tough and stringy. It has been bad the last two times I have ordered. I was unable to eat it both times. Guess I’ll not be going back. It was so good in the past. What a shame.

Let me start off by saying that I’ve worked in restaurants so I understand when mistakes are made, however, being dismissive and rushing customers away is pathetic. I ordered honey chicken online (which was clearly on the digital receipt), and I was in a rush to get back to work so I didn’t realize she gave me orange chicken. I came back the next day to let her know since I was about to order again anyway. She kept telling me that I told her orange chicken. How could I have “told” you orange chicken when I ordered online. I’ll say that again. How could I have “told” you orange chicken when I ordered online? And when I explained to her that I couldn’t have folded her anything since my order was online, she dismissed and rushed the conversation.

The man at the register was Very rude he wouldn’t even give me any Fortune cookies that I thought were free to customers. But I guess not. I don’t know if it was because my appearance or what but he was very rude. I won’t be coming back at all.

This is a fairly new restaurant. I was eager to try the Egg Foo yung. Unfortunately, I did not check my order. The chicken egg foo yung was burnt. The fried rice was tasteless; no sesame seed oil or Asian seasoning. I packed the whole meal up to return it and decided not to travel 15 minutes and embrace it as a lesson we'll learned and I will never refer to or return to this establishment
