What a fun place. This is an outdoor establishment with lots to do. A pool, pool tables, a few video games and corn hole games. It’s a bar with upgraded bar food. Live music on the weekends and Tuesday is steak night ( can’t wait to try that). It was 104 the day we went so you may need to be a fast beer drinker because they don’t allow you to bring in your yeti! All in all, it was a good time. Lots of fans blowing and a lake view to keep you cool.

This place was so alive and a casual lake vibe. The graduated outdoor seating made it a great view for everyone to see the lake and live band playing. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive, she kept our glasses filled and our orders came out just right. It's not gourmet food, but the view and people watching was fun. A lot of cool boats docked there and there's also a small pool and waterfall and volleyball court along the back of the building. There are also pool tables. Perfect place to just hang out with friends and enjoy the sunset.

Beautiful location to listen to live music The indoor area is also very nice if you choose not to sit outside. The atmosphere is soothing include waterfall, nicely groomed vegetation in plants, wildlife, and the marina with boat slips.

Loved it being at lake !! Good food. Downfall is no Splenda and only unsweetened tea. And the gross dirt black tables. I get that it's outside but still a deep cleaning from time to time won't hurt. I enjoyed it otherwise. The waitress was wonderful sorry I didn't ask your name.

I absolutely love the place. Great crowd and weather was perfect. We had the cheese burger.. meat was dry and over cooked. The gentleman at bar was very rude to the staff and had an attitude to some of the clients. Sad! However, I will definitely try it one more time. ...to be continue

Great atmosphere, good food, but service is lacking. We rarely saw our waitress and were never offered drink refills. I would definitely recommend trying the fried pickles and potato skins, they were great! The stuffed jalapeños and mozzarella sticks were good as well. You can't beat the beautiful lake view. We will be back!

Papa on Lake Conroe with its prime location, has been around for a long time. The views are second to none. A large menu compliments a good selection of beer. Papas ranks consistently high on Google. This bar is very popular with boaters during the summer-time rush. In addition to a large parking lot, Papas has lots of dock space. Nice place to have a good time.

What a very cool and very laid-back place I love the atmosphere the food was good for the right price nothing fancy nothing pretentious just good quality food with a good atmosphere the kids enjoyed it I enjoyed it the service was good.the chicken fingers were delicious the wings were perfectly sized and seasoned the onion rings were awesome the beer was cold and the shots were poured just right. I don't mind the first come first serve basis when it comes to the tables but the servers were kind of running around. To the owner when you can afford it upgrade those plastic chairs and tables.

Limited menu but the food was delicious and prices were extremely reasonable. Indoor and outdoor seating was available. Outside seating was right beside the water with an excellent view. Fish b chips was good and the hot wings hit the spot. However, my jack daniels on the rocks had some sort of contamination in it and I was unable to drink it. Possibly some cleaning fluid or something may have fell into the ice but they refused to refund it.

We visited Papas on the Lake with a group and had a mostly enjoyable time, thanks to the great service and fun atmosphere. The Highlights: The staff were friendly, attentive, and really added to the experience. The in-house band was solid and brought great energy. The place itself looked great—cool vibes, perfect for a lakeside outing. The Food: This is where things fell short. Our group ordered a range of dishes: Big Daddy Burger, fish and chips, chicken fajitas, Cajun shrimp tacos, and fish tacos. Everyone tried a bit of everything. The seafood was delicious but came in very small portions. The fish and chips could’ve really used another piece of fish and a larger fry portion (we subbed for fries, as the default is actual potato chips—kind of odd, but understandable). Both the shrimp and fish tacos tasted good, but an extra taco per plate would’ve made a big difference. The chips and salsa, along with the sides that came with the fajitas and tacos, were disappointing. The chips were mediocre, and the salsa, while thick, had only one note: spicy. No depth of flavor, which made it hard to enjoy. The burgers were the biggest letdown. While the portions were generous, the buns were sweet—like sweet rolls—which clashed with the savory burger. It was off-putting enough that three people in our party didn’t finish theirs. Drinks: Miller Lite on draft was fairly priced and no one had complaints. The rum punch, however, tasted like it had no rum at all—more like fruit punch than a cocktail. Final Verdict: Papas on the Lake nails it with atmosphere and service. The seafood was tasty but stingy in portion, and most other food items fell flat. Come for the vibes, music, and drinks—but maybe eat beforehand.

Negative vibes instantly. Dirty table. Took forever to get help. Finally got a servers attention. She quickly said my 3 year olds cup wasn't allowed. As she was telling us, she mentioned the owner staring her down. The owner noticed the cup but not us sitting at a dirty table for a long time with no service. Obviously it wasn't alcohol we were sneaking in because my daughter was drinking out of it. We didnt mind paying for a drink and pouring it in, but that wasn't allowed. We have NEVER had this issue at any other restraunt with her cup.

Yeah… we’re never going back to Papa’s On The Lake. This whole “seat yourself” thing is a mess. You finally find a table, sit down, and then just wait… and wait… and wait. 20 minutes later, no one comes over, no menus, nothing. Completely ignored. We asked TWO different servers for menus. Both said, “Yeah, I’ll grab them,” and then just never came back. Like… what?? How do you just forget a whole table of 6 people? If this is how management run things, they seriously need to fix it. Either train your staff better or hire people who know how to follow through. Not worth it.

Very strange experience here. Came for a fishing tournament and was excited to get food and drinks with friends as it looked like a happening place, however, I was bombarded by two waitresses at the same time talking to me and I tried to order a sweet tea and they only have en sweetened tea. Is this even Texas? So then I was going to do unsweetened tea and just get Splenda with it and all they offer is sweet n low lol. So I ordered a Coke zero and water instead. They were very aggressive about requiring me to present a credit card to start a tab and all I ordered was a water and Coke zero and asked for a food menu. They didn’t bring a food menu out and I had to ask for it. The whole thing was weird and I decided to leave and go eat somewhere else. Absolutely do not recommend and if any management reads this you guys need to have a different process in place and there’s no reason you should have two servers coming to the table at the exact same time talking to the guest and causing a ruckus like they did.

Ashley was my bartender and Service today was just terrible. It started off great, but as soon as I requested something As an alternate drink, since my drink was not good I was notified that all drink sales are final. There is no sign, document or any type of signs that reflect All drinks are final outside by the lake. WE NEVER WENT IN THE RESTAURANT. The sign, once I found it, just so happens to be sitting in front of the bar, which nobody goes to all, all we do is order food. Also, being outside the wind decided to knock over my drink, and the bartenders were not even courteous enough to provide me a new drink while watching my drink spill on the ground. I went in to talk to the manager, who was completely dismissive and really did not care about helping or making my experience any better. She talked to Ashely and the other bartenders, which gave us terrible energy for the rest of our experience. We drove hours to come to this restaurant to experience this and will never invest our time our money into this place ever again. I use to love this place, now it’s just terrible. She gave me the owners card and I’ll update if they provide me a solution.

The entire place is seat yourself. Me and my fiancé sat by the pool after 10 min of not being waited on we went to the bar to order a couple drinks and moved to a more populated area. After 20-30 min of waiting I asked a group of 3 servers if they would help. One gentleman said yes but he was going to deliver food first then come to us. To which he never showed up. Honestly If you’re looking for good service and friendly staff definitely choose the lake house. Yes you may have a wait to be waited on but that’s better than being completely ignored in an empty restaurant!!! See attached photos to see how empty the place is
