Patrizia, the owner, is extremely kind and professional. Traditional Northern specialities like pizzocheri were delicious! I would recommend to anyone coming through Morbegno.

After a trip to the village of Corenno Plinio, looking for lunch away from the hustle and bustle (and overtourism) of the lake, we found this place on a pretty street in the historic center of Morbegno. It was a very satisfying lunch! We'll definitely be back.

Truly fantastic place, and everything was excellent! Appetizer: taroz and warm liver mortadella. First course: pizzoccheri. Second course: tzingoiner with roasted potatoes. Dessert: tiramisu. Wine: Inferno Cantina Negri All the dishes were truly delicious, especially the taroz and pizzoccheri. The staff were friendly and helpful. The outdoor courtyard was truly beautiful, and the interior was no exception.

I'm from Como, and I discovered Ancora thanks to a local who recommended it to me. I went back there specifically the following week, taking a quick tour. Well, I'd say it was worth the hour-long drive. I can only dream of Pizzoccheri and sciatt like the ones cooked here. At least until my next visit, which will be very soon. Oh, yes. Very soon. The service from the restaurant staff is very welcoming and attentive: it's a bit like eating at the home of friends from Valtellina you'd forgotten you had and were visiting, and you don't even spend a fortune (although, when you eat this well, you don't mind your wallet). As far as I'm concerned, visiting Morbegno and not stopping for lunch or dinner here is pure culinary blasphemy, and you deserve to be left to rot in the hell of fast food and gas stations. I demand that we shift the accent from "Àncora" to "ancòra": the word I associate with the feeling I get when I think of this cuisine. What are you waiting for? Book a table, for goodness' sake!

The food and wine were impeccable. I highly recommend the pizzoccheri. As a solo female traveller, dining out can be a bit intimidating but the staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a great time!

Awesome place! Family-run, a bit hidden in Morbegno, but a true gem. No chi-chi, but the concentration on the core virtues of really fine gastronomy: a dignified ambience, very attentive and personal service, and fantastic food quality.

We had lunch around the first half of August. The restaurant offers a choice of indoor and outdoor seating, either in an area sheltered by an awning or on a charming sunny balcony upstairs. We'd already been here last year for the Bitto Fair, had a wonderful time, and were eager to return. The menu is quite varied and isn't limited to traditional local dishes, which are also available and definitely worth trying. We ate excellent Sciatt filanti, made with a very thin batter and easier to digest than you might think, then Pizzoccheri and a delicious Sassella risotto with strong, bold flavors (as it should be), and to finish, a buckwheat cake and a Braulio semifreddo. Everything was excellent, and we also appreciated the service, which never left us wanting for anything. The bill was reasonable for the good quality of the food (€61 for two). Obviously, the area isn't particularly convenient for parking, but I imagine anyone who comes to this area already knows that. We had a great time again and will definitely be back.
