Two young men waited on us. I wish I got their names (shame on me)...but they were very personable, patient, and good at their mission of serving the customer (me and Mom). It has been a long time since I have been in a fast food restaurant along the roadside that I have experienced their friendliness. Thank you fellas! The space was very clean, actually a lot cleaner than I have experienced. Now this Illinois transplant (Texan born and raised), can go back to IL happy that Texas represents the State I am so proud of.
Was impressed most food places attached to gas stations are hit and miss but these guys served me fast my food was fresh and hot.

The guy behind the counter taking orders is amazing. He was so nice. A kid had messed up his order and didn't realize that he didn't want what the actual number was and so he fixed it for the kid. And was so polite and kind the whole time while doing it. Couldn't ask for a better person to be at the cash register
There was a very sweet lady that was working the drive thru this morning. She just made my day (after a 12hr night shift) with how kind she was. Hope yall know what a gem she is. 🥰
Dr. Pepper shake is great. They struggle to get the order correct if you have 1 burger with light on the mustard and 1 burger with mayo AND mustard. Also to put the correct labels on the wrapper. Otherwise everything else is great

Ask for senior discount but by the time it was figured it cost more with the discount than without. Manager seemed agitated that I ask and then couldn't understand Whataburgers position on senior discounts. Remind me not to ask for discount next time.
Good rest stop or midway point when travel out of Texas from Houston, restrooms are sufficiently clean and big, and Whataburger does not disappoint!
The store on cypress Rosehill and 99 is allways very helpful
Stopped two times while traveling. Both times had a medium vanilla malt. And one time with onion rings. A busy spot. Going again this next week to Shreveport from Houston Texas. Surely I will stop in again.
This is a regular stop in for me along my route. The CS is great, the food is great, the place is always clean, even after big rushes, and service is fast. The longest I've had to wait was 15 minutes. I keep an odd order on me because my dog travels with me, but no questions asked, and the food is awesome! Lil Bit (my dog) gives them a 5 star as well!
Fast-serving burger chain offering an above average selection of American staples like burgers and fries etc. The staff at this particular location were very willing to explain the menu items and made sure that I had napkins and asked if I would like spicy ketchup or regular. Unfortunately, most fast food chains aren't that attentive anymore. Rating 5🌟 overall. 4 on the food 5 on the service, and 4 on the atmosphere.
I love stopping here when I go to Houston. The food is always fresh and has friendly staff.

The dining area is clean and in order for the young lady at the register was kind and friendly which is a nice change from the usual hurry up and order feeling at most fast food establishments she went above and beyond her duties. Give that young lady a raise!!! The food was as expected delicious I will be returning.

I just want to publicly thank Emily!! She told me that she made the best burger, and she made me out of a believer!! The service she provided went above and beyond and I am truly grateful for that!! She made my burger with love and I could tell. The only reason I can put 5 stars is because the bathrooms were all that clean and one soap dispenser is clearly almost out of soap other than everyone's attitude was on point and felt welcoming!! Thanks Emily!!

I don’t usually review fast food chains but this What-A-Burger was the best I’ve ever visited. The staff was super nice, clean, and efficient. The junior burger was juicy and fresh. The fries were piping hot.
I was driving to Collage Station when I hit a HUGE coyote and had to pull over. We were stuck here for 7 hours trying to get a new rental. All the employees made us feel welcome and were so incredibly kind. Very thankful for these folks!

I had a great experience at Whataburger! The food was outstanding—definitely a 5-star quick-service meal with their juicy burgers and crispy fries. The service was friendly and efficient, earning a solid 4 stars. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, also deserving 4 stars. Overall, it is a fantastic spot for a satisfying meal with excellent food quality and a comfortable vibe.
Pulled over in time to buy from the breakfast menu, which goes here from 11p-11a. Ordered the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit meal with Brianna at the register. She was awesome!!! In and out, meal and absolute fresh coffee. Oh, did visit the facilities to wash up before eating. Clean, clean, clean! This Whataburger is with a 7/11!
We got there right around noon and I think pretty much all 437 people in town came in right after we did (my picture of the town limits was blurry, maybe 447). It was a madhouse for about 15 minutes. But, they clearly knew it was going to happen because they got our food out in great time, it was well prepared, they didn’t short the time the fries needed like some places do when they’re rushed. Everyone was friendly, clean restrooms. We’ll try a local spot next time, but we still can’t get Whataburger in Tennessee, so I had to have it.

A bit busy at 3pm, so a little slower than I would have thought. Guess everyone else decided on a late lunch too. Cashier was not unpleasant, but not overly pleasant either. Burgers and chocolate shakes were good. Will patron again.

Service was a little slow on our most recent visit, but still acceptable. We have stopped here several times while traveling through town. The food is usually quite fresh and tasty. One time it was not up to par, but it was still decent.
Stop in to buy some tea we were thirsty. Tonight we waited 15 min to move up 2car spaces to order, they quickly took our order. Then waited another 5-10 minutes to pull 2 car spaces, we were 3rd car. We finally got up to the window and found out our cashier had wound up outside taking trash bags out of garbage cans. After 10- 15 min he finally cane back in and asked if we had paid I said no. He finally got the correct order pulled up on the screen and I paid for it. The drinks came fairly fast, and when the food was gi en to us I drove off because we were in a hurry, we had a 3 1/2 hr drive. The food was barely warm but we ate it because we were hungry. I've been to this place several times before, but tonight it was not good. Here tonight to eat after my 2 games. They ate super busy. I got my order in about 10-15 min. Just waiting for the order to come out. It's here and it's tastes very good worth the wait.

Our order was totally wrong and we had to go back twice to get it fixed...several others had incorrect orders and problems as well. It seemed the staff was terribly overworked. Not nearly enough to handle the amount of customers. Sad because those that showed up were kind and apologetic for the mistakes and were working very hard.
Ambiance is okay, food is excellent, but somewhat slow. It took more than 30 minutes for them to process my order. I feel with them when they said they are short of manpower. Short of ingredients why it's taking them long? That's unacceptable. Plus, there were lots of flies inside vicinity. Receptionist is apologetic though.
The blame for a place being bad rests on those who decide the wages. After all how can a company expect to have high quality staff when they don't offer enough pay for someone to live much less have hope for the future. So when the kitchen staff are being abusive to the cashier and saying inappropriate things in earshot of everyone it's the failing of the company for prioritizing shareholders over the betterment of the business.
Whataburger takes a long time and is relatively expensive. Food is good for a burger joint. This particular shop upgraded my milkshake because they were taking so long with my order.

The staff seems kind.. But, when you receive your order it seems the staff doesn't know what's in the bag.. And the makings of sandwich or food is wilted lettuce.. Wilted old squishy tomato Hard dried chicken breast.. Tried burger.. No lettuce.. No onions (I asked for extra) Just a miserable experience.. Tried it twice thinking it had a bad day first time ... sadly the second try was as bad if not worse. We pay too much for sloppy food.. My opinion
Food is definitely overrated. Too greasy
The cashier was very thorough taking our order, but By the time it got to us it was cold. The cheese on our burgers wasn't even melted. The fries tasted old. And our order was wrong. The drink station was dirty and sticky. It's was a Friday night but it wasn't even close to busy in comparison to the many other Whataburger's I've been to. I feel like the staff just doesn't care.
Again cashier does not listen then blames the customer for their lack of work ethic. Even when I tell them before they total it , they still tell me I'm wrong. 2 people, grown men especially do not split a meal. If I say the total does not show the correct amount of food I ordered just go over it again do not tell me I am wrong when you ain't even trying to be right. And a BLT does not have pickles on it in any universe!!!!!!!
25 min in the drive thru line.. from the time i pulled up to the speaker. Window person was also kind of rude as well. Not good service. Burger was full of mustard. If any goes on a sweet and spicy it surly should not overwhelm everything else on there. Or drip off.
Some days it's great...most days though, ugh. Fries are always old and stale. Burgers are mid. One manager is incredible and will go out of her way to make your visit great but when she's not around expect to wait at the speaker while everyone is locked outside smoking.
Big ol long hair in the food. Opened up one burger and was greated by a big ol long black hair sticking out of the burger. Check your food before you leave. Must give the onsite manager a big thumbs up though, she handled the issue very quickly. At the time of this review it is 1258hrs CST on 9/5/24. More restaurants need managers like her. Wish we got her name so we could properly give her the cudos she deserves.
The staff can be lot more professional. They have an employee there who wears a name badge that reads “the realest”. When asked if that is what shows up on her birth certificate, she closes the window.
Thought this was a good idea. Might choose a different location. Terrible manager. Food was not as expected from our TX fave. Hash browns were super crispy & jalapeño biscuit was quite tough.
It's usually ok most the time clean in the timpson branch good service food taste is good but make sure you check your order especially in the morning orders you place they always forget something of mine
10/15/23: came through here again 7 months later, the staff still does not want to be here. It appears they have plenty of staff for all the stations and attention to the customers, however they all seem to mill around without purpose, ignoring customers as the best they can other than to interact and get their initial order and hand an order off. They just really are not people persons, and definitely immature and want to be somewhere other than where they are. It seems the only enjoyment that they have is talking amongst themselves. If the regional manager were to come in here without announcement and just observe and or pretend to be a customer, I failed to see how they could be proud of this store. They really need to do something. March 2023: Staff was young and really didn't want to be there it seemed, didn't want to be bothered it seemed like
The food wasn't all that fresh and the restrooms stank so bad I turned around and walked out.
The staff were on their phones, we had to wait for our food because they forgot to put fries down. One employee pulled her mask down, touched her nose and then touched the food. The only person working was the man who took our order, he went out to the dining room and cleaned until other customers came in, so the dining area was clean for sure. A manager was in on all this too.
Be very careful if you get food here. My order was so messed up. I had to tell the lady at the window I had drinks. She then gave me 1. Once I got my food, I had to remind her I was missing a drink. She couldn't remember if she gave me any drinks. She was paying more attention to her conversation on her cell phone than working. Then, after we got a few miles down the road, my wife told me her burger was missing things on it. Seriously, how hard is it to read a screen. I used the mobile app to order, so there would be no issues. Clearly, the manager must not have been there, or all of them should be fired. This is ridiculous.

His was fine, but my burger had American chz and no mushrooms, just bread the sauce and American cheese. They shorted us a fry also. Took 30 minutes to get my order...These people want $15 hr? This is why it's called minimum wage, not a living wage. Management, this falls directly on you to kick a few butts to get people working efficiently and in unison. Complete lack of urgency and attention to detail. Start taking cell phones away is a good start.

They were very rude and the burgers were done sloppy. They messed up an order that we had confirmed several times. We ordered a number 12 and that’s it. When i opened the bag the party wasn’t cooked all the way and it looked like it was thrown together. They filled the large fry up half way and they took a long time to do so just for this result. Will not be returning.
Horrible experience! Took way too long to get our food. Also notes social distancing going on at all! They are not sanitizing between customers. The cashier is wearing gloves and touching all the food that comes out and your card with the same gloves. So I can imagine she's also touching all cash as well with those gloves! Fries were cold. And they have people standing crowding the door and every table instead of social distancing at all! Will not be going back there at all!
Super slow. I waited over 10 minutes, for a number 2. Employees were friendly and I had to ask for my receipt. I asked for jalapeños on my burger. But, the gave me a pepper on a small bag. Therefore, I had to eat a little burger, then bite the pepper. Pitiful!
I went into this specific Whataburger approximately 10 mins ago. The lady whom was wearing different cloths was probable the rudest person I have meet. She wouldn't speak to any of the customers that were in the store. There was a lady walked up to the counter before myself. The lady I assume was manager. Her and another male employee was setting at the table away from the counter. I approached the counter behind the lady that came in before me. The manager yells across the store. I guess I'll come wait on you it's gonna be a min. Which is no issue. I get they are busy with handling business issues. Well she came to the counter. Didn't even say hi or anything. Snaps what you want. Then same with me. Never one time responded to anything said to her. I watched as there was few others came in. Same until older man came in. She wouldn't even wait on him. She yelled at another employee. Ring him up. So with that I ask the first lady if she sensed the same attitude that I did. She was it's disgusting I won't be back. Needless to say I won't be back either. Lady wouldn't even tell me her name and her name tag was behind her coat
I stop here frequently with it being the only thing open real early and every morning I place an online order 10-15 minutes before arriving and they never start making it until I get there. 25 minutes to make a sausage biscuit. Poor attitudes. Slow service. Need better management.
Walked in employee was sitting in a booth. Talking to a guy while I stood at the counter with no service then waited for her and the gentleman to walk up to the counter where they continued a conversation as she got some coffee for him and ignoring the fact she knew I was standing there already.. 2 other employees working also still no help finally got help.then had to listen to same employee about how her mom is gonna be mad cause she cracked her phone. One of the 3 seemed to be a manager and asked them why there was no mix of stuff of what I ordered..I made the comment because they too busy talking they don't care about anything else. Derrick the little chubby man from the cash register refused to grab me a drink when I have a medical condition and I cannot drink carbonated drinks! I paid for my MEAL I was not asking him to give me free drinks I PAID for them. He lied to me and had me wait there with my cups waiting just so he could turn around oh we’re out. I then see other customers get sweet teas. Now right now I’m heated but when I was there I wasn’t being a Karen or being rude. Now Im being a Karen and I feel discriminated, Humiliated, And belittled. This whataburger needs to fire this lazy employee and give the girl with the purple hair a raise. Absolutely the worst type of person to meet is someone who is racist and lazy with his own race of people.

Marshall is super rude and he talks to his employees and the customers like they are idiots. A family member of mine ordered a breakfast menu item and customized it the way she likes it. He ignored her requests and when they gave it to us wrong he proceeded to throw his coworkers under the bus.
I tried to just buy the burgers because I don't eat bread and they employee couldn't do that without selling me the hole item. These places should start figuring out a keto/carnivore menu for people who eat like that.
Worse location I've ever been to was just passing through decided to stop for something to eat and both the food and customer service sucks here. Fries were cold and not salted at all food was thrown together sloppy. The fountain drinks literally tasted flat and uncarbornated and the sweet tea tasted sour but at least the iced coffee was good. Was going to mention it to the manager just as an fyi maybe they didn't know but the manager was unapproachable to say the least she rather be outside talking or mean mugging instead. The kid at the counter was sweet but other than that I will never stop at this location again.
Took 15 minutes to get our food in the drive through with only 2 cars in front of us! Finally get our food and the frites are cold, the burgers are cold AND not as we asked them to be prepared. It cost almost $25 for two meals and they are CRAP!
Stopped in this morning. The cashier was rude. The food had very little taste. They forgot half of the order. When my husband went to the counter to ask for the missing food, they said it would be right out. After about 5 minutes, they called his name, when he got to back to the table he was still missing an item. The coffee was barely warm, tables had not been cleaned. Do not recommend.

Stopped while traveling. Ordered at drive thru. Got back on the road to find out our order was totally messed up. Important stuff like grilled chicken vs battered and fried. Ketchup instead of mayo and one sandwich was dry. Glad I don't live close by.
The slowest whataburger I have ever been too. There were 2 other cars infront of us and it took 40 minutes to get our food and it was wrong. I had already driven off and behind schedule because I still had a long drive ahead of me. This really screwed up my night and I was over an hour behind schedule because of this slow down. I should have just left after 15 minutes and went somewhere else. If I could give it no stars I would. I was highly disappointed. To wait that long and still get my food wrong is pitiful. I should have checked it before I left but I was so far behind schedule.
Unfortunately, this is the closest store to my house. I always do online orders for convenience just run through drive through and pick it up. NEGATIVE it always take’s FOREVER to het my food I don’t care if I ordered it 30 minutes early. This time I ordered a cinnamon roll and 2 taquitos on my app it took over 30 minutes in drive through and I was the only car! Then my cinnamon was not warmed no butter no fork it was cold and hard! Like come on guys yall gotta get it together. Especially being one of the most expensive fast food places I go to.
Broke my tooth on a burnt to Hell piece of bacon as well as my burger having the saddest amount of lettuce on it I’ve ever seen. $5 to break my tooth and have an absolutely sad burger. Also no napkins in the bag?? I’d drive a bit and choose a different whataburger if you’re really craving it.
WOMEN BEWARE!!! Every single person at this location is rude. Managers allow male employees to verbally harass women in the bathroom with no consequences. We reported the male employee to the manager she simply shrugged her shoulders like it was no big deal. This location is disgusting and the people here should not be in customer service. This is by far the worst Whataburger in East Texas. It is sad when I have no faith in ordering from the place where I live. The workers don't pay attention to orders, online orders are always messed up and then they act like you are lying or they had no idea when the receipt is staring them in the face. I will never order from this Whataburger again due to the continued failure of simple service
As a First time visitor this location in Henderson sucked. People from drive thru were mad, orders inside were behind. People in the kitchen looked lost and the registers had a hopeless look. One young Caucasian girl was rude when my husband asked for the 15m order we placed. She asked my husband if he couldn't see she was busy and if he couldn't see her order screen. The tables were dirty too, I got a hair in my fries and there were flies, flying all around. Caleb took our order correctly and was kind(we didn't order .75c burgers). Don't STOP HERE, it's very disappointing getting a meal paying through after hours of driving
Being that my uncle is the COO of DKT Enterprises, my expectations at Whataburger are the standards he has set by his own hard work. He started at Whataburger at the age of 15 as a fry cook and stayed loyal to the company and their policy on Satisfaction. My husband and I stopped here on our way to our away football game in Nacogdoches from Hallsville. Upon walking in to this establishment, we were never greeted. We placed our order and sought a table. There were 3 other families eating. About 10 empty tables remained and EVERY SINGLE TABLE was dirty. Food on them, dead bugs and all the old order number placards remained. I went back to the counter and let them know there were no clean tables. I was given cleaning towels to clean one. I used hand sanitizer on the wall to clean our table. We used the restrooms. The women's stalls were disgusting and the men's had no soap and urine on the floor. When we got our food, I had to return to the front, and wait in line, to ask for napkins. Why aren't napkins available or placed in bags? Our Whataburger in Hallsville is so clean, everything is stocked and the workers are always pleasant. I'll definitely be passing the info and pics to the higher up bosses.
