I come here every couple of weeks for my fix of home made tasting pernil and rice. 10/10 every time. It’s so savory and delicious. Staff are always friendly and portions are generous!
Food Is really good! Service is always good. Whoever’s cooking got some love in their heart! Thank you. Highly recommend this place
Great food and friendly staff. Didn’t know this place existed till recently and wow have I been missing out. Delicious! Looking forward to trying the various different dishes.
A great place for take out Dominican 🇩🇴 food. It only has 2 small tables, each with 2 chairs and no bathroom 🤦♀️🤷♀️ but the food is amazing 😋 👌 😍
Wow, i was totally impressed with the food and atmosphere in kiskeya restaurant. So glad i was told about this fantastic restaurant. The staff greeted me with great hospitality. The food took me back the carribbean. The music and margaritas will have you dancing. I will recommend kiskeya to who ever is in the neighborhood. I want to thank them for making me feel welcomed. Cannot wait to return in the near future. Thank you

A random decision turned into a great choice for lunch. Was walking along Union Tnpk with hunger on my mind after a doctor's appointment just a bit further east in Lake Success. Wasn't sure how much further I wanted to go, and the "Kiskeya" sign caught my attention. I did a quick glance at the recent Google reviews and went right in. Short line with a bunch of happy faces eagerly awaiting their meals is what I was greeted with. When I saw the food in the display cases, they were steaming hot and just starting to be consumed, so I knew it was fresh. I asked if they had "tostones," and my guy said, "Of course, but they're made to order, and it will take 5 minutes." That's when I decided to dine in. The pernil (roast pork), moro/congri, tostones, flan, & ginger beer to wash it down was all I needed. Everything was delicious, hot & fresh. One order of tostones was enough for 3 people. #LocalGem #GoodEats #theresthatfoodie
My bestie took me here because I am deprived of any form of Dominican food in Europe. This place did not disappoint! The people working behind the counters were so nice and answered patiently when we had questions about the menu. The empanadas were freshly made. The chicken and rice were classically delicious. They gave a generous portion of chicken! I will definitely come back the next time I visit. ✈️
I’ve been coming to this restaurant for about two years and come here almost 5 days out the week for my lunch/snack dinner . The staff gives great customer service to all customers. This is the type of restaurant that needs to be recognized for their hard work and dedication to this community !!!! Thanks Kiskeya for an exceptional experience every time !!! B
This place has really delicious Dominican food. I'm not sure how authentic it is, but it is definitely tasty. It's so much so that I can tend to over eat whenever I order from here. They serve lunch and dinner, and there are options to eat in and take out. I've done both and the food is always consistent. The prices are relatively cheap for the amount of food you get. If you like the weight you're at now, I strongly suggest you avoid. If you're planning to hibernate for the winter, this is definitely the place you want to visit. Or if you just like good food, and can control yourself, check this place out.
This place has a cheap lunch special, which is why brought me in at first. They have a huge bar, Togo counter and tables. There is a “grassy” feel to the decor but I wanted more. It looks and smells clean. We plan on going back to the bar for appetizers and drinks. The lunch special portion was a full plate. There are lots of different options with varying prices which I love. It was pretty decent though I wanna try more and maybe some speciality items from the menu as well. I had pepper steak and rice and beans. My boyfriend had roast chicken with rice and beans. We got a well done order of yucca fries and that hit the spot. The hot sauce we were given sucked!! Should have asked for something else but they were nice enough to let us eat at the counter. 3 stars for food. It was pretty basic but decent. And another star for service. The owner was there, he said hello and seemed involved which I think is important. All the girls behind the count we were very polite and super helpful. They know what they are doing !! **The lunch special is only to go.
I really wanted to love this place. I had got a recommendation from a fellow Dominican, and all excited but super disappointed. Two stars is being generous because the staff. Got 3 lunch specials, goat, chicken stew and baked chicken. Also picked up maduros, sancocho and chicharron. First.. goat and chicken stew was good. Sancocho was delicious and they use spare ribs(a plus) Madoros was good too. Terrible fails .. Dried out bake chicken and chicharron. And unfortunately disappointing. I guess I will have to go back to my place in Jamaica.
Okay I like this place better when they were under the previous name. I fine that the staff only pays attention to male customer.... moving on...I ordered the fried shrimp from the lunch menu. The breading was think and hard that’s the only way I can explain it. I had to peak off the breading to eat the shrimp. the shrimp to bread ratio was a joke. Let’s just say I was still hungry after spending $11 on lunch🤦🏽♀️.I would try this place again to dine in and see if the service and food is better.
I found hair in my food TWICE! I told them when it happened when I went back and I was given free food. The second time I called and told them. I was told they will have a meeting with the staff but that never happened because I went back this past Saturday and a young man was in the kitchen with a curly ponytail and no hair net! RIDICULOUS! As a restaurant this is unacceptable!
I ordered to take out and paid almost 40$ and when I arrived home and opened the food, it was a small piece of meat with burnt yam and they even told me that this portion could be enough for two persons but it’s not, being a long time customer that used to come frequently, this was an utter dissapointment
