Opinions de Fattoush New York
I always doubt a 5 star rating when i see one, but this place nails it on all levels, amazing Lebanese food, hospitable service and atmosphere. Been away from home for quite sometime and this place just gave me the homesick medicine i needed❤️ Certainly recommend, And i left the name of the food plates i ordered in the photo caption to help if ur not familiar and u want to try a bite from a couple of options .
Omg the food was outstanding. Service was excellent. It’s byob but very accommodating. Will definitely be back. Everything tasted amazing. You must big.
We had a party of 17 people and they took excellent care, allowing us to enjoy each other and feel well treated!
This Lebanese restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we stepped in, we were captivated by the charming atmosphere—the exposed brick walls and warm lighting create the perfect setting for any occasion. It was ideal for our large party of 40, with plenty of space and a welcoming vibe. The service was fantastic—super friendly, attentive, and impressively quick, even with such a big group. Now, onto the food: simply incredible! The creamy hummus was heavenly, and the kafka kebabs were grilled to perfection—juicy and bursting with flavor. But what truly stood out were the vegetarian and vegan options. The Msakaa, a rich stew of eggplant, onions, and chickpeas in a spiced tomato sauce, was absolutely delicious. The Batata Harra, perfectly spiced fried potato cubes, were an instant hit. Mjaddara, a comforting mixture of lentils and rice, was so flavorful, and the fresh Fattouch salad and zesty Tabbouleh added a refreshing touch. Whether you're a meat lover or looking for vegetarian and vegan delights, this place has something for everyone. Highly recommend it for any occasion—small or large. We’ll definitely be back!
I would give this place 6 stars if I could. Pierre is an amazing host and the food is phenomenal. Best babaganoush I have ever had in my life. Best tabbouleh ever. Spectacular food and service all around.
We had the best high school alumni lunch, thanks to Marcela, Charbel and Pierre. The food is great, the portions are generous, the vibe is homey. We'll be back for sure!
From the moment you walk in, the place feels warm, welcoming, and authentically Middle Eastern without trying too hard. The food is the real star—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The hummus is unbelievably smooth and rich, the falafel is perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy inside, and the shawarma is seasoned to perfection. Everything tastes fresh, balanced, and not overly heavy. The fattoush salad itself is a must-order—bright, tangy, and refreshing with the perfect crunch. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the service is consistently friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a relaxed meal, it’s one of those spots that makes you want to come back regularly. Easily one of the best Middle Eastern spots in the East Village—reliable, delicious, and always satisfying. Highly recommend.
Fattoush is a delightful Mediterranean restaurant that impresses with its fresh, flavorful dishes and welcoming atmosphere. The menu features a variety of vibrant options, from crisp salads and savory appetizers to hearty mains, all made with high-quality ingredients and authentic Mediterranean flavors. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The staff is friendly, attentive, and eager to help, making every visit smooth and enjoyable. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and well-organized, creating a comfortable environment for casual meals or small gatherings. Overall, Fattoush offers delicious Mediterranean cuisine, excellent service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone seeking fresh, flavorful, and satisfying food at a great value.
Very warm and welcoming staff, amazing dinner selections, and special service for a birthday was provided. I will definitely come back soon to experience the authentic Lebanese food and culture we enjoyed.
Fattoush was delicious. Great value! We got the appetizer platter for two and the supreme mix grill. Very pleased with the food and with Marcela, our waitress. They were both the best!
We stopped by during our lunch break and had an excellent experience. Our waitress, Liza, was welcoming and attentive, walked us through the menu and made sure our food came out quickly so we had plenty of time to enjoy it during our break. The lamb shawarma sandwich was pretty good. I will be coming back just because of how kind and attentive the waitress, Liza is!
Came with my girlfriend and food was so good. Food was amazing and so was full we love the appetizer for 4 would love to come back again. lol just kinda wish the table was bigger for all the food we got. Marcella was our server and she was so sweet.
The place has very nice decor, it's clean and organized, and the appetizer platter is perfect for sharing and trying most of the dips. Our waitress, Marcella, was always attentive and provided excellent service. An excellent dinner.
Marcela was an amazing host, she really took care of us. The food was amazing, everything was so fresh and delicious. Five stars all around!
Fattoush is one of the most delicious meals in New York. Truly anything on the menu will be fantastic. Pierre and all of the rest of the staff are so fantastic and lovely. Highly highly recommended to absolutely anyone
This cozy, unassuming eatery off of Union Square is a terrific little spot for a date night or a group dinner. Our server was attentive while also giving us space to enjoy our meal. The music selection was very calming and set a nice tone for the evening. I’m adding this place into my rotation immediately.
You can't go wrong with any dish they serve here. Fattoush offered an experience that bordered on magical realism! They understand quantity, quality of preparation, and taste importance. Their crew works fast and pays attention to details. I was pleased with this quick dining option.
The food was really good and a great complement to Salma. We enjoyed the labneh and the moussaka, as well as the batata hara. Marcella was helpful and gave recommendations.
I've watched their children grow up over my years of visits. The pricing at Fattoush reflects the area correctly. The kitchen doesn't use frozen products. The staff shows remarkable kindness and the atmosphere feels truly inviting. I'll absolutely be back here.
Fattoush by Salma elevates the Lebanese dining experience in the East Village to an entirely new level. The extensive menu offers a wide variety of both traditional and creative mezzes. The hindbeh (wild dandelion) and the raheb eggplant salad are absolutely delicious, while the hummus with fig and walnut is uniquely flavorful. For main dishes, the riz a djaj (chicken with rice) and lamb ouzi, served with their secret sauces, are simply heavenly. Prices are very reasonable, and the restaurant’s BYOB policy ensures you can pair your meal with your favorite drink. Don’t forget to finish with the mouthwatering knafeh dessert. As a bonus, the warmth and friendliness of the owner and staff make everything even tastier. 1000 Sahha!
No incredible experience-some of the best food we’ve ever had. Highly recommended. Marcella was such a great host.
Fattoush Restaurant is absolutely amazing! The flavors are fresh and vibrant, and every dish is full of love and care. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, making every visit a delightful experience. Highly recommended for anyone who loves delicious, authentic food! 🌿🍽️
Cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff. DELICIOUS food! Two of us shared the appetizer for 2 and a serving of mujadara and took some home. Highly recommend!!
Marcella was a lovely host and our meal was SO fresh and delicious. I'm Lebanese and can vouch for it: this is the best Lebanese food in Manhattan! Pro tip, go for the Hindbeh (bitter greens) and the schrimp.
Marcella was awesome and they helped us get seated last minute for a party of 8 and made our night! Amazing service and absolutely recommend the amazing food!
Amazing food, great hospitality! Marcela was an amazing host and waitress — came on a friends birthday with a larger party and we were well taken care of and had great food and a great time.
We were starving in New York and ended up having Lebanese food — it was absolutely delicious and so satisfying! Every bite felt like comfort after a long, hungry day Liza was so helpful in choosing the meal she was humble and kind loved her kind gesture
Liza and Natalia were incredibly accommodating and attentive, the service here was 11/10 stars, the food here is beyond! We had the appetizer for 2 and the grape leaves were delicious!!! Just run!!! Don’t walk here!
Have you tried any Lebanese or Mediterranean food? This is YOUR place! Great service, magnificent food, and awesome flavors! Fresh salads, veggie rolls, juicy and spiced meats! You can indulge yourself with these Lebanese food and take a dreamy trip to Lebanon. 100% recommended even if you're not in the area! Thank you for an amazing dinner with my wife!
The food was so good, and so was the service! We got the appetizer for 4 people and it was such a great portion! The quality and variety were amazing, and the atmosphere was great! Come to this restaurant😄
Nevermind the delicious food, their hot sauce is to kill for. Marcela is very pleasant! I used to wonder why the place is always packed and now I know exactly why!
We started going to Fattoush by Salma about three months ago. We used to visit Salma, but one time they were fully packed and recommended we try their new location—and ever since, we’ve been hooked! The food, the service, and the atmosphere are all top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable. The servers are amazing. We genuinely love being there and can’t stop recommending it to friends and family. Natalia, Marcella, and Gigi are unbelievably courteous and truly know their job well.
One of the BEST spots for a group dinner + birthday. Came here with 4 others and set a reservation the week before (call to do so). They were always super sweet and flexible and even have a bring your own bottle option (does require minimum purchase, for us it was apps and 3 platters). Even with 3 appetizers and 3 platters + tip, it was less than $150. Some of the best Lebanese food I've had in the city plus the coziest environment. Great service and people, plus they even helped us celebrate our friends bday with a little dessert (she had no clue and was surprised). Bonus if you are gluten free since there are soooo many GF options.
We had a very tasty and satisfying small dinner which consisted of an appetizer of perfectly spiced lamb sambousek with a chicken shawarma wrap split between us. The one chicken sandwich was ample and more than enough food for both of us. Our waitress Marcela was very elegant and explained all of our questions about the portion sizes, ingredients, etc. She was very accommodating, bringing sauces like gatlic yogurt sauce and red chili sauce to complement what we ate. I thought the decor was very tasteful and calming with beautiful muted colors and Middle Eastern touches.
We had a wonderful dinner here on a Wednesday night. The food was delicious and the space very comfortable. And the service was also very good and not pushy. We ordered the appetizer plate for four and the mixed grill supreme. Everything was perfect and easy to share. It is also BYOB at no charge. Highly recommended!
Every dish felt fresh and full of flavor. The wrap was loaded with tender meat, crunchy vegetables, and rich, creamy sauces. The mezze with hummus hit every note perfectly. The setting is welcoming with vibrant seating and a cozy, authentic feel that makes the whole experience truly enjoyable.
I almost don’t want to leave a review so I can keep this place to myself! The food was incredible - the muhammara and fig hummus were unreal. The fig hummus was sweeter than I expected so it was nice to have something more savory to balance it out. We also got the mint lemonade, jallap, and arayes with cheese and everything was delicious. The drinks were both in slushie form, and the jallap was made of rose water and not too sweet. All so flavorful! The service was excellent, quick and very kind. Looking forward to my next visit!
I’m stuffed like a grape leaf. Everything that came to my table was out of this world. Fresh, delicious, authentic, homemade and made with love. My compliments to the chef and owner. Staff is beautiful and atmosphere is beautiful and cozy and colorful. I’m bringing my family back.
We stumbled in looking for a spot in the West Village on a Saturday night and managed to grab a table, and WOW. Truly one of the best meals I’ve had in the city. Everything was divine, free glass of wine, and the chef came out to bring us different things he whipped up while we waited. The restaurant is too small for all of the people they need to have here!! There should be a line around the block.
Always a wonderful experience at Fattoush! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with colorful seating and a cozy, authentic vibe that makes you feel right at home.
Authentic Lebanese food. The kibba and fattoush were my favorite. I really enjoyed the fig hummus which was on the sweeter side but oh so good. A must try in the neighborhood.
Came here with a few friends a few weeks ago (after a workout class so we were appropriately starving) and tried a smattering of things that were all wonderfully delicious. We had the beetroot hummus, tabbouleh, kebbeh, sambousek, and cheese rolls. And decided to split falafel and the shish tawouk platter which was so perfectly seasoned and cooked. There were still so many things we didn't get to try but I will definitely be returning. Also, side shoutout for the mint lemonade - refreshing!
Had an amazing time at Fattoush! The food was so fresh and delicious. Amazing service staff, owner and lovely decor. Overall a great experience and can’t wait to go back again soon!

Generous portions and a nicely designed, cozy restaurant. We arrived around 6 pm without a reservation and were seated immediately. At that time, the restaurant was about half empty, but by around 7 pm it became packed. I noticed a shift in service once it got busy—it was harder to get the waitresses’ attention—but they were still very friendly. The food was delicious—especially the cheese roll (puff pastry with mozzarella and feta) and the Shish Tawouk, which was perfectly grilled and flavorful. They offer complimentary tea served in a teapot, though it’s made with tea bags. Loose-leaf tea would be a nicer touch, but considering it’s complimentary, it’s still appreciated. Overall, a nice spot for casual dining.
