Came across this place while I was around the area. Service was good and staff were very nice and even helpful with food recommendations. I got Oxtail with rice and plantain and a juice. I also got a side of Rasta pasta and a chicken roti and cury goat. Rasta pasta I wasn’t a fan of because it tasted to sweet. The Rice was alright a little mushy. The oxtail was big and delicious, the plantain and juice was good. The Roti and cury goat🔥🔥 10/10 recommend I’ll take 20.

I ordered the oxtail w/rice & peas, cabbage greens and a grapefruit Ting. Incredibly delicious and made me so happy. We have nothing like this in the Bay Area California. Best food I’ve tried in New York this trip.

The curry goat and salmon were tasty. Def got good portions on the rice and peas, curry, and cabbage. The staff was nice and the decor was pretty. It’s a small place without seating but I didn’t mind that at all since I was on the go. Might not be a place that I crave all the time, but it’s a solid spot that I’d go back to.

Got the oxtails and chicken curry roti for lunch. The oxtails were really good and came right off the bone. My meal also came with sides, so I got plantains which I only got 4 small pieces of. It was a stingy amount which was disappointing.

I wanted to really like the food but the salmon wasn't what I was hoping for. I wanted a Caribbean flavor and instead it was similar to an Asian seasoning (glaze). More fish options aside from salmon would have been great. The cabbage was good. The rice and peas was ok. The staff was welcoming and friendly and the place was clean.

Thanks for one of my cousins for telling me about this spot because I wanted a taste of any Jamaican food. It’s a little spot here in Harlem on broadway. The food is decent, the staff here are respectful. Just make sure you come early because it does becomes crowded for lunch hour.

The food is bland and average. I had a missed item (beef patty). They sent a bottle of fruit punch that I did not order, that was not my particular preference. I don't think I will order again..

I ordered through door dash, two separate orders. Both oxtails Mac and cheese with plantains and one with an extra order of rice and peas. I only received oxtails and baked Mac for both orders and it took about 2 hours to get to me since placing order. The food was tasty but mostly fat on the oxtails and the Mac and cheese could have been more cheesy. The portion size is okay for the price as well but I will not order again, not worth it to me. You lose customers when you’re not paying attention to the service you’re providing. SLOW DOWN and make sure ALL orders are correctly sent out, not just the ones directly in front of you.

I found several pieces of Saran Wrap mixed into my food that I had to keep picking out. I was very disappointed.

I ordered my food through Uber Eats from island grill. I ordered fried chicken Mac n cheese with steamed veggies and the other order was a curry chicken meal. For drinks I ordered a sorrel tropical riddim and a pineapple ginger tropical riddim WHAT I RECEIVED: a mango tropical riddim and reggae medley tropical ridden - THESE OPTIONS ARENT ON THEIR MENUS BTW. For the food I got fried chicken with small piece of Mac n cheese …on top of rice n peas and gravy, the second order was curry goat meal… I GOT NOTHING OF WHAT I ORDERED aside from the the fried chicken. Now, let talk about the taste of the food. The fried chicken wasn’t evenly seasoned- some parts tasted too seasoned, the oxtail gravy tasted similar to brown stew gravy but super salty. The small piece of Mac n cheese had the same seasoning as the fried chicken… why? The rice and peas was mushy ugh The curry goat was a bit gamey, just a little bit more curry would’ve made a difference. OVERALL DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE I DIDNT GET WHAT I PAID FOR!!!! The food tastes terrible and I’m a first gen Jamaican - all I wanted to do was get some good Jamaican food, it’s Jamaica Day and just wanted some nostalgia… now I going to toss the food in the garbage bc it’s terrible overall. You need a new chef, maybe stop reusing oil to cook food but it doh taste good. Also GIVE PPL WHAT THEY ASK FOR OR CANCEL THE ORDER!! SMH

Ordered over a $100.00 of delivery on New Year for lunch because of the reviews. First time ordering. I absolutely hated the food. Everything was dumped on top of each other in the container looking like a mess. The goat and chicken curry had no taste, the fried whiting fish smelled very fishy which meant it wasn’t fresh. The dalh puries were good and the fried plantains. Didn’t eat the Mac & cheese. I’m Guyanese so I know this kind of food.

Never again. From the dried out vegetables to the rice and peas tasting like cardboard, and ending in the flavorless oxtails. Two meals came to 38. My son got the turkey wings and he refused to finish his too. Keep in mind he LOVES Jamaican food and is an 11 year old vacuum cleaner when it comes to food. The oxtails were dehydrated which I thought might concentrate the flavor but no. I had a feeling when I went in, but who messes up oxtails? This restaurant does.

I’m confused…maybe it’s because it was towards the end of the day or because it was rainy but I don’t understand how this spot has 4.7 ⭐️! Ordered Uber eats around 8:40pm and my Jerk chicken spring rolls were burnt and tasted a little sour (may have been spoiled), roti dry, received white rice instead of the rice and peas I ordered, the curry chicken had zero curry gravy (but the flavor wasn’t bad) and the plantains were hard. The festival was a little salty for my liking but I ate a piece of that. So disappointing 💔
