Angel and Justin were the absolute best! The two made our night such a great experience from start to finish. They were incredibly welcoming, attentive without being overbearing, and just brought a really warm, positive energy to the whole evening. Their drink recommendations were on point, and you could tell they genuinely cared about making sure we had a good time. They helped create a relaxed, fun vibe. Shoutout to them, I'm definitely going to be coming back!
Great late night spot in Upper West side/Morningside Heights. Fries Are Banging, they hit every time. Not a huge food selection, but the items they have are great. Had the Mac and Cheese, Fish Tacos and Nobody's Burger. 10/10. For drinks we had the Copy of a Copy (which was served in a old school Spanish Candle glass) and the Staring at the Sun Highly recommend for late date or just catching up with friends. Not too much seating and it gets a bit busy at times (Columbia University is pretty close), but always a good vibe
favorite burger I’ve had in UWS to date. wowow you ever get the feeling when you walk-in somewhere and EVERYTHING hits right? couple irish coffees + pornstar martini. very quality cocktails nobody’s burger (def add bacon) walks a fully-loaded fine line & nails it. indulgent, but never messy. perfect meat-sauce-toppings proportions where the first bite is as good as the last (EVEN ON A GLUTEN-FREE BUN). french toast sticks are out of this world + one helluva breakfast burrito if I lived in the neighborhood this would be my go-to “let’s meet up” spot. day or night
Nice strong drinks and nice, friendly staff! The black girl and black guy there are phenomenal (the best in customer service) and it seems like the crowd really enjoys this place. I was a tourist visiting and I’d def recommend and would visit again on my next trip to NYC!
This bar was so fun! After a fun day touring around the Brooklyn Bridge area We stopped in for some refreshments. Great atmosphere great music and exceptionally great service. Charlie at the bar was especially helpful. We felt at home here! Great stop for anyone who wants to have a great time after a day of exploring New York.
Great spot! Tried the chicken sandwich and the mac & cheese – both were super tasty, but the chicken sandwich is a must. Didn’t even get a chance to snap a photo… that’s how good it was! The vibe was super cool, and the cocktails were on point. Service was great too – super friendly and quick. If I could suggest one thing, it’d be to have a physical menu – everything’s ordered at the bar and the menu is just on the wall, which can be a bit tricky at first. Still, this is easily one of my favorite spots. Highly recommend!
The best spot to hang out at in the UWS!! I have had the best martinis here, some of my fav fried chicken sliders and the tastiest shishito peppers ever. You can’t go wrong with any drink and whether it’s the weekend or a nice weekday celebration this is the most fun spot to chill at. We just celebrated our law school first semester here and it was awesome!!
Excellent little cocktail bar with great ambiance, drinks and food. Stopped in just before happy hour and it wasn't busy at all. Staff were friendly and quick to help with ordering. I got the spicy chicken sandwich with fries and Guilty of Everything drink. The sandwich had great flavor but I didn't think it was spicy at all. Fries were very crispy and delicious. Ketchup was smoky and unique. The drink was decent but I would try a different one when I come back. Great place overall to grab food and drinks.
This place is a great cocktails bar 🍸 and eatery! 🍴 Nobody Told Me serves an large selection of cocktails 🍹 and delicious 🤤 food items - definitely get the Slushee (ask for the flavor) and Truffle 🍄 Queso 🧀 which comes with root chips, baguette 🥖, and apple 🍎 slices! Thier burgers 🍔 also look great! Service is quick ⏲️ and the ambience 🎶 is fantastic! I wish I came here earlier!
We love this place and find ourselves here time and time again because it is always reliable, delicious, so good and we LOVE it. So does our pup Stella. They’re so good to the dogs outside! I’m a big fan of the beets salad and the piña colada. My husband loves the burger. Today we decided to get the avocado toast and it was amazing. I got the piña colada again. Husband got the burger as usual. And then we got oysters during the happy hour and they were excellent. Our server Maya was just amazing and our pup Stella was smitten with her. Maya brought her water and Stella just loooved on her! Can’t wait to go back (again… and again…!)
THE BEST! Love this place, the cocktails, the food, the ownership, the vibe. Not nearly enough unique, deserving businesses like this in our corner of the UWS. Thoughtful menu that is well executed. You can’t go wrong with anything you order, really. Love the burger and all the apps! So glad to see them reopen with the warmer weather — we plan to be regulars with our newborn in his stroller. Support this place, people!
Stopped into Nobody Told Me and really enjoyed it! At first, I didn’t notice the little “order at the bar” sign, so I sat at my table for about five minutes before realizing it (pretty sure a bartender mentioned it when I walked in, but it went over my head). No big deal though — once I got it, everything was smooth. The rosé I had was refreshing, and the Porn Star Martini was extremely tasty. Food-wise, the wings and mac & cheese both hit the spot. Service was quick, the vibe was relaxed, and overall it made for a really good experience. I’d definitely stop back in again!
A solid little cocktail bar. The food was quite good, particularly the salad which was fresh and lemony. The empanada was coated in an almost Tajin-like powder, which was a little too strong for our tastes. The burger was ok value at $22, and was basically a Big Mac. I would come back for it, but I do wish it was on the happy hour menu. The happy hour doesn’t include a lot off the food menu, just some snacks. Cocktails were good, though the dirty martini wasn’t nearly as filthy as I like.
***4 1/2 stars*** A few days ago when we were planning our up-and-down Manhattan hike, I asked my only UWS contact for a lunch/cocktail recommendation that was "edgy" and "open-minded about sweaty people." This was her immediate response, and yes, I will continue seeking her opinions on such matters. As soon as I laid eyes on the hipster snow globe lamp things by the bar, I knew we were in good hands. My chum and I stopped in for a brunch before noon this past Saturday. She'd also been here before and supported the spot, so the fact that this ended up being a positive experience wasn't remotely surprising given that I managed to get two separate endorsements on it beforehand. It might have been the slightly ominous weather slash humidity, but there was maybe one other table occupied and it was very quiet/chill in here. Magnificent, magnificent progress had been made from Bowling Green to here (I think we did it in three hours, and that was with a prior diner stop, so yeah - gold standard urban hiking right there), so multiple cocktails were in order. I gave the bourbon one a long look but decided with the July heat to pivot to something more refreshing and went with the Pink Robots ($15), featuring carbonated lemon vodka and strawberry-champagne shrub. It was tasty but not mind-blowing - I think in hindsight I would have opted for something that wasn't quite as citrus, though the strawberry-champagne certainly helped the situation considerably. We also split two apps, one sweeter, one more savory - the French toast sticks ($16) and the bacon dates ($15). Both were very solid. The best I've had? No, but still really good and worth recommending. This place knows what it's doing when it comes to supporting cast members with its dishes. Blueberry maple? Of course it should be included with French toast. Whipped ricotta and MORE maple? Yes, 100% should be hanging out with the bacon dates. Very strong optics and decisions made in the kitchen. The service was excellent. The bartender was also the de facto waitress behind the counter, and was very friendly/hospitable/accessible. I also appreciate that even though it was a slower time there, she was ALWAYS finding ways to occupy her time - whenever I went up for a food or drink order, she was busily chopping up garnishes for future cocktails and/or tidying up. We also might have been suffering from price point PTSD after finding out 80 blocks south that disposable cameras are now about $45 (don't get me started), but given that this is an edgy brunch spot on the northern part of the UWS, I thought the prices were pretty competitive here. I'd absolutely come back, hike or no hike.
Great drinks and food - came here on a drizzly cold Friday evening and the drinks and food hit the spot. I loved my drink the Search and Destroy, the truffle queso and the fried chicken sandwich. My husband had the Among Thieve drink and enjoyed it. The Mac and cheese was good - it was smoky which had a unique flavor but it was just a tad too salty for me. With just a bit less salt it would have been great. You do have to be a bit patient as you can only order at the bar but the bartenders are friendly and the vibe of the place is great!
Great food and cocktails, really bad service. The bartender was also the only one who took orders, there was a 20 minutes line just to order because he had to make cocktails while other people were waiting to order. We ordered two dishes to share, one of them arrived after 20 minutes, the other arrived 15 minutes later which was pretty frustrating. Edit: we went again for the second time to give this place a chance, food was great as usual, service was great as well!
So, I really do like this cute spot on the UWS, and would customarily give it 5 stars. The food is always good, and prices reasonable . Their cocktails are interesting and delicious. The service depends on whose on that day, but it's usually ok. And I love the design of the place. Today, however, a customer bought a dog and a cat inside the restaurant. Who the hell brings a cat INSIDE of a restaurant?? Aren't there sanitary rules about this? The creature was adorable, so much so, that the waitress cuddled it before going back to the bar, surely covering herself with cat dander. It's really not cool to allow people to bring pets into an establishment that sells food. I was shocked at how some folks are so entitled to think it's ok to bring a dog and a cat to a restaurant not caring that the other patrons might be allergic or afraid of them. But I'm even more disappointed at the staff for letting them stay. The guy next to me chalked this bad behavior up to the full moon. He thought it was bizarre too.
I really really really really want to love this place so I’m going to come back and I’ll do another review when I come back, but the Caesar salad was so overdressed. It was soggy when I arrived. The service was glacial. But as I said, I really wanna like it so I’m going to come back. The guy waiting to pick up a delivery order was really all over our banquette And should be instructed to stand somewhere else like by the bar maybe? We did not drink, but they have a very impressive bar
Leaving one star just for the service. We were celebrating something as a group, put a phone down against one of the closed orange garnish jars to record a video and got rudely told off by the bartender who yanked the jar and the phone away “for putting our phone on the jar and that we should ask before touching his things”. He then proceeded to throw all of the oranges away - the jar was sealed shut. While part of me understands why he might have wanted us to ask for permission I don’t get the harm in saying it nicely or adopting a somewhat professional behavior. The jar was sitting on the bar counter and we didn’t even touch it, just propped a phone against it, it was all totally harmless, very minor and in good spirit. Moral of the story 1/5 for rude service and I hope this guy was just having a bad day
Images are from our meal at Amity Hall. Bad customer service to brown people (women). Sat to eat, and waited about 10 minutes for a server. After seeing other patrons getting service at their table, I asked the bartender (with a white or beige cap) for service and he said we must order at the bar, and I told him others were being serviced at their table. His reply was, “those are his (the other bartender) friends” (every table?) -He lied. Never again. The place was not busy, and the bartender were laying back, just looking around. We left and went to Amity Hall (2 blocks north). Better service, prices, ambiance, and food variety. Oh, and we left our service our customary 25% tip for excellent service. Images are from Amity Hall. Date and time of my visit was: Sunday, 1/8/2017, around 7:00pm.
