BEST PHO IN NEW YORK CITY! This is my go-to spot for Vietnamese pho in the city. They offer a pot of chilli oil, sriracha and hoisin sauce on each table to add. I highly recommend their beef brisket pho which is served with bean sprouts and fresh mint. I also recommend their pork spring rolls, which are cooked to perfection. It’s paired with this delicious sweet chilli sauce that you just can’t beat! The pho is $16 and spring rolls are $10 for 4 but worth it whether you’re splitting with a friend or having them to yourself! Located in the heart of the east village this is a great spot to grab dinner before hitting up the nearby bars

Very friendly service, cute little shop with beautiful decorations and art. The house limeade is refreshing and sweet and the Bun bo hue was the best I ever had it was hearty and delicious. Favorite Vietnamese in the area. 2nd visit was just as good this time got the pho supreme its so delicious and warming especially during the winter and flavor is on point. Limeade was less sweet this time but still refreshing.

Non La proves big flavor comes in small packages; the space is intimate with just a few tables, but the friendly staff and top-tier Pho and Bun Bo make it a total win. The appetizers are a decent start, but the rich, soulful broth is the real reason you'll be squeezing in!

I ordered the beef Pho, which had a very generous portion of beef and herbs, the broth was great, overall very tasty and full of flavor!

Genuinely the best pho in the world. Me and my girlfriend go like every two weeks for the beef eye round pho with extra protein. It's the only place we repeatedly go to in nyc. The workers there are so nice and it's so cozy there. Can't recommend this place enough. It’s insanely good!

My wife and I were craving Vietnamese food, and based on where we were in the city, Nón Lá seemed like the best option nearby, so we decided to give it a try. We’re glad we did! We started with the Cha Gio (veggie crispy spring rolls), and they were a great appetizer - crispy, flavorful, and well-seasoned without feeling too oily. For dinner, we both ordered the Pho Chin Nam (beef brisket pho). The broth was rich and comforting, the portion was generous, and the brisket was tender. Definitely hit the spot and satisfied our craving. For drinks, I ordered their homemade lemonade, and I appreciated that it actually tasted freshly made rather than from a mix. Service was friendly, fast, and attentive despite how busy it was. While we were there, the restaurant was popping. It stayed consistently busy with a wait time of about 10–20 minutes. The space inside is small, but they offer outdoor seating as well. If you have time, waiting isn’t a bad option, but if you’re on a tight schedule, ordering ahead is definitely the way to go. The ambiance had a casual, cozy feel with a lively crowd, making it a great spot for a casual dinner or a quick bite. Overall, Nón Lá was a great choice for Vietnamese food in the area, and we’d definitely return.

AMAZING BAHN MI AND PHO!! Literally blew my mind. I've never eaten both in one sitting but I had to because it was so delicious. The noodles were perfect. The bun was perfect. I got the house pho and the lemongrass pork bahn mi. 10/10 will be coming back again!!!

I’ve been on the hunt for authentic Vietnamese food in nyc, after having visited the country six times. Happily, I found it at Non La. The Bun Bo Hue and Banh Cuon were just as good as the versions I enjoyed in Hue, and they had all the right herbs, ones you’ll find everywhere in Vietnam but rarely here. I’m looking forward to returning and trying more dishes!

This NYC Spot Serves Pho That's Even Better Than in Vietnam It's not often you find a restaurant that surprises you in all the best ways, but this hidden gem in New York City did just that. As someone who is Vietnamese and deeply loves the flavors I grew up with, I didn't expect to be saying this—but the pho and other dishes here were so flavorful, so carefully crafted, that they even rivaled the food I've had back home in Vietnam. From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch-warm, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. It immediately set the tone for what turned out to be one of the best Vietnamese meals l've had in the U.S. The steaming bowls of bun bo hue came first, their rich lemongrass-and-chili-laced broth bold and comforting, while the pho was the picture of balance: clean, aromatic, and packed with depth. The vermicelli platter was a feast of textures-grilled meats, crispy egg rolls, fresh herbs, and tangy pickled vegetables that came alive with a drizzle of fish sauce. And the banh mi? Perfectly crusty bread with a soft interior, packed with flavor in every bite. What sets this place apart isn't just authenticity-it's the unapologetic flavor. Nothing is toned down or simplified. Every dish honors Vietnamese tradition, delivering that perfect harmony of salty, sweet, sour, and spicy. Combined with the thoughtful service, it truly made the experience unforgettable. If you're looking for Vietnamese food in NYC that's every bit as good-or even better-than what you'd find in Vietnam, this is the place you cannot miss.

I never seen a Vietnamese place that offers pan fried noodles with vegetables so I was eager to try this item on their menu. It's not as saucey as the chinese verison but it was still pretty yummy. The veggies went well with the pan fried noodles and tasted very fresh. The Vietnamese ice coffee is also so refreshing, there's a bit of coffee foam on top and it tastes strong, which I love.

My Vietnamese friend and I were looking for an authentic spot in the city, and we were happy to find this spot! The staff were incredibly sweet to us. For someone trying out new Vietnamese dishes, I absolutely loved it. My friend said it tasted like home. Will definitely be coming back!

Welcome place serving good food with reasonable prices. People come and go, to-go orders a lot. Feeling like a family vibes. 🥘🥢❤️The soup noodles with beef was my favorite! The soup was rich with a balanced flavor. ✨Pho had a relatively light taste but u may still taste meat flavor in the soup. Would visit again to try more dishes!

REAL VIETNAMESE PERSON HERE and I don’t play about Vietnamese food. After hearing the discourse about lackluster Viet options in nyc, I spent 35 mins carefully reviewing where in manhattan could deliver the best hangover cure, and I struck gold with Non La. This spot is fantastic. To no exaggeration, I was offered a table before both feet were inside the restaurant. Super cute/quaint/clean seating area. Then my order was taken quickly and I had my all food in 5-6 mins, and it was gone in like 10 LOL. I got the pho dac biet, goi coun, and a Vietnamese coffee to go. All the food was excellent, hit the spot and priced fairly based on ingredients quality and flavor. Service was perfect:) overall value is excellent. For the ultra critic- the broth was very good but missing a TINY something. Maybe a teensy bit more depth?? I’m comparing it with bowls from California, Colorado and France tho so I digress. Still spectacular and I’m excited to come back and try the other menu items!!!!! Thanks for a wonderful lunch today 🫶🏼🍜🎋

Real Vietnamese person here. This is one of my top 2 best Vietnamese in Manhattan and seemingly way too under the radar. Social media not all over it yet. They have all the greatest hits (pho, banh mi, spring and summer rolls) but done well and authentically. Some small but v important details that make the food here excellent: 1. The crispy spring roll with pork is the first legit version I’ve encountered in my 20 yrs in nyc (all others usually are wrapped in the wrapper that bubbles when fried….like NO. The ones in photo below are so much better). Fried to perfection. 2. The plate of greens you get for the pho and for the crispy spring rolls are FRESH and PLENTIFUL. For the pho especially, this is like 100% more Thai basil and jalapeño than you get in most other places in NYC (albeit 50% less than your get in CA!) 3. The special combo pho has tripe and tendon. Respect.

Solid Vietnamese food spot in NYC. The papaya salad was super refreshing—crunchy, tangy, and perfect to start with. I loved the Vietnamese iced coffee too—just the right balance of bitter and sweet, and so good on a hot day. The standout was the bún bò huế—an absolute umami bomb! Great spot for small groups, casual vibe, and I’d 100% come back again.

The weather was gorgeous and the patio was open. So we capitalized on that :) Service was quick and professional. We ordered the pork bun and bun rieu, both of which were delicious. But the star of the show was actually the meat portion. For the price it was actually on the generous side, unlike other Viet places. If things keep holding on like this, we would definitely come back and try other dishes. I don’t think they served alcohol. Highly recommend this place!

Best meal we’ve had so far in NYC as travellers, authentic, I ordered meat crab soup, generous toppings with 3 large prawns, grilled pork for my husband he loves it proper grilled taste and my kids love the Pho. Coffee is good too!!! Good service with a smile ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am a Vietnamese tourist, this is my first time in New York and I want to find the cuisine here. Surprisingly, there is a Vietnamese restaurant here and I felt great at this restaurant. The taste is exactly like in Vietnam. I ate a lot of dishes during the few days I was in New York. This is a Vietnamese family restaurant and they made me feel very familiar like in Vietnam. Thank you to the waiters at the restaurant, they are very friendly. I understand why this place is highly rated. Everyone should come and try it once.

We visited this restaurant at 11am and there was no queue, just two other people which is typical for a weekday. We started with the summer roll, which was good but could have used pork inside. It seemed more like seafood. Overall, it was a 6/10. The banh mi was a great breakfast or brunch sandwich. It had warm crispy bread, a nice amount of meat and pickled vegetables. It was a great combination but it lacked pate, which is a must in a banh mi. It was a 7/10. The bun bo hue was 7.5/10. It had generous meat and a good broth, though it wasn’t quite as flavourful as I’m used to from home. However, nothing beats a warm bowl of good broth on a winter day.

I had the beef pho, and it was tasty. The broth was flavorful, meat was tender, and I absolutely devoured it. (If you’ve never had pho, the beef is rare at first, but it cooks in the soup. That’s why it’s pink in the photo). The two friends I went with both ordered the chicken pho which they also loved. I docked one star because the restaurant was sooo busy on the Monday evening when we went. We waited outside for 40 minutes, and I was getting hangry. In my opinion if you just want a plain bowl of beef or chicken pho it might be worth it to go somewhere less busy. As for their more specialized dishes, I would have to go back to try them!

Really good food, very crowded. The location is very tidy and the family owner (does not talk) took the Pho away although not finished yet. The doors are not closing and it was a freezing breeze all the time. People sitting on their jackets and scarves. So wear your hottest winter clothes while eating. But again food is amazing!
