At The Comedy Shop, we're a laid-back watering hole where good times meet great company. Inspired by our roots as a spot for stand-up comedians, our menu serves up classic American fare that pairs perfectly with a well-crafted cocktail. We've perfected the art of comfort food with dishes like our signature burgers and crispy wings. Our cozy atmosphere is designed to feel like home, with dimmed lights and warm decor that makes you want to linger over a cold one or a hearty meal. Regulars rave about our attentive service, which always seems to be ready for laughter – just ask anyone who's had our late-night comedians gracing the stage!

Opinions de The Comedy Shop New York
Maestro Pasta is everything you hope a classic New York Italian restaurant will be. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is attentive without ever feeling rushed. The pasta is exceptional, made fresh in plain sight, clearly made with care and respect for tradition. Every dish we tried was perfectly balanced, rich in flavor, and thoughtfully prepared. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the pride that goes into the kitchen. I highly recommend the polenta fries to start! It’s the kind of place that reminds you why Italian food done the right way never goes out of style. Whether you’re visiting the city or a local looking for a reliable favorite, Maestro Pasta delivers consistently and beautifully. Highly recommend and absolutely worth returning to.
What a great spot!! My wife and I often enjoy trying new (to us) pasta spots and this one has probably been the best so far. I had the Pasticciata and Lasagna, for which the Pasticciata gets the spotlight, it is creamy and very flavorful, it was so good I barely took breaths between each bite. My wife had the Cacio e Pepe and burrata salad, the Cacio e Pepe was also very very good, it may have a slight upper hand over everything else we ordered, great taste, creamy and overall just incredible. Most definitely will be returning and recommend you give it a try!
Maestro Pasta in New York is pure magic — a slice of Italy right in the heart of the city! The hospitality is warm, genuine, and makes you feel instantly at home. And the food? Absolutely phenomenal — come a casa. It was so irresistible that I went back four times in just one week! This place is a must-visit for anyone who loves Italian cuisine.
An excellent dining experience from start to finish. The food was authentically Italian and done really well. The interior decor adds a great atmosphere, and the staff were outstanding — enthusiastic, warm, and genuinely welcoming. Will definitely be back next time we’re in the US!
Delicious food, became one of my fav go to places in the city when I’m in the mood for pasta. The owner seems to really take his pasta seriously. Servers can sometimes make you feel rushed when taking your order, but they are not necessarily rude. I don’t take it to heart that much. Just know what you want before you get there. Food is always prepared with care and that’s what I really appreciate about the place.
Second time at this gem! Fantastic food (we have been to Italy a lot) and service. Haven’t had better pasta in the city. Highly recommend and will come back again and again. Thank you ❤️
I had only passed by before, but finally stopped in for dinner on a weekday afternoon. It was impressive to see the handmade pasta being prepared right in front of us. With both table and bar seating, it also feels like a good place to come alone. I ordered the Puttanesca and a glass of white wine, the portion was generous enough that I couldn’t finish and had to take the rest to go. The noodles were a bit thicker than I usually prefer, but overall I really enjoyed the meal.
Wonderful food after hitting the NYC with 2 kids we needed a great homemade meal. The service was friendly and the kids loved the swing benches :) We were cold and starving , fresh homemade pasta hit the spot. Lovely atmosphere, sweet staff with a great sense of humor:)
Went in expecting a good meal, but boy were we blown away! Each pasta was flavorful & bold. The Cacio a Pepe was one of the bests I’ve had. The service— incredible! Marco is an absolute gem! If the food had been mids we would come back for him alone. TY NY 💘💘
Staff is EXTREMELY kind and informative!!!! The food is FANTASTIC, AUTHENTIC & made to order!!!! They have adorable swings to sit on while enjoying your delightful meal. The staff also makes you feel as though you’re family. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back the next time we are in the city!!
This place really delivers on both food and vibe. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by the sight of fresh pasta being made right in front of you — the guy working the pasta machine is actually the same one you’ll see in a bunch of their Google photos and videos on Google maps reviews. It’s a fun, unique touch that sets the tone right away. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and cozy with string lights that add a nice glow. The service was genuinely great — super friendly staff who made the whole experience feel welcoming. Now for the coolest part: some of the seats are actually swings. Yep, actual swings hanging from the ceiling. It’s a really fun idea, but heads up — if you want to sit on those, definitely make a reservation. We didn’t, so we ended up at a regular table (still comfy though). As for the food: excellent across the board. The Bolognese was a standout, but honestly, every pasta we tried — red sauces, white sauces, different noodle types — was on point. Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Would happily go back — just with a reservation next time so we can snag those swing seats.
Amazing authentic Italian food. Alessandro is warm and welcoming and the food truly is a meal like you have never experienced!!! You will not be disappointed! We can’t wait to come back. The coziness of the tables and swings are so unique and inviting.
Got the Cacio e Pepe and it was unreal :) super creamy, perfectly al dente, exactly how I love it. The focaccia was fluffy inside, crispy outside, totally addictive. Chill vibe, friendly service… honestly, can’t wait to go back.
Truly an amazing pasta spot! Ordered the cacio e pepe and it was out of this world. Pasta was perfectly al dente and sauce was creamy but not too rich. Owner came by to check on us and was very kind!
I just had a fantastic dining experience with my husband and our adult daughter at Maestro! Alessandro and his team are terrific - they all made us feel so welcome. The food is delicious - we could see our pastas cut just before serving (which is special and unique) and exactly as we requested. The portions are generous and the wines were great. The atmosphere is great - beautifully decorated with an energetic feel yet still easy to talk and hear just our table. We loved Maestro so much that we are now planning some private parties there. Maestro Pasta is a true gem!
We were in New York for two days and decided to visit this restaurant. Everything was very delicious. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the service was excellent. Even though we were a large group, everything was well organized and attentive. The owner personally took great care of us, which made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming, like home. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back.
My son and I walked into Maestro Pasta for a quick bite with no expectations and we were very pleasantly surprised when we were promptly seated at the bar and taken care of in a warm friendly atmosphere like we eat there every night. The surprise of this restaurant is that it is in a very touristy neighborhood, yet it has the feeling like a restaurant you could eat at regularly and always be satisfied/delighted with your food. We had such a nice experience. The menu was full of pleasant surprises and yummy choices. The service was friendly, available, pleasant, and proud of the beautiful food that they were making and serving. I look forward to going back and taking my GF, starting with the artichoke appetizer as a nice prelude to the homemade pasta.
vibes were amazing. parking was easy to find and easy to locate. my cheeks hurt from laughing too much. definitely visit.
Came here on a whim, but had a great time! Every comedian was hilarious and i was laughing the whole time! Leaving with my cheeks hurting 🤣🤣 anya was a great server!!!
Went to the Monday free event. Best idea ever! James our waiter was the best! Also the comedians were hilarious. Amazing Monday plans
Great energy and vibe. Max was the host and he was amazing. Good looking AND talented. Not to mention, best fries east of the Mississippi 😋
This place was a great way to spend Wednesday night! Saw a women’s only comedy show and it was a blast. Shoutout Liz and all the other women apart of this awesome night. Followed by karaoke so the fun goes on all night.
We found The Comedy Shop on Pulsed and had a great time. They had a 3 course dinner deal that included a comedy show and it was the perfect night out. The staff was super accommodating and let us delay our other courses until after the comedy show when we were hungry again. They also do movie nights and karaoke. It’s such a hidden gem with staff that makes you feel take care of.
So this place is so amazing!!!🤩 High vibes were amazing from the bouncers to the comics! The bartender Ana is super amazing! Come out and show her some love 💸 recommend coming before 10pm before the kitchen closes!!! But the accommendations were very much appreciated! Found a new energetic palace to come and shake off the working world
Vibes are IMMACULATE here!!! love island playing every night has been so much fun and the staff is amazing! Ana is an incredible waitress who somehow manages a bar full of screaming women with grace. Alvie somehow syncs up every TV after each commercial break with a swiftness. the comedy shows afterwards are also funny and a good time. this is my new favorite bar!
Great location! It is newly renovated and has a beautiful bar area out front to wait on the show. The comedy space is nice and intimate. We had a great line up for the 10pm show. They had 6 comedians and all were funny. There are 8pm, 10pm and midnight shows on Friday and we were able to get last minute tickets. The drinks were excellent. Bartender and staff were all so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this spot!
Maestro Pasta is such a cute place. Very small with moderately limited seating, but I was able to walk right in and get a table for 2 at 7pm on a Saturday with no wait. It was so neat to see the pasta being made right in front of you, and the atmosphere is so great. The service was amazing, VERY quick to deliver the meal and drinks, and very friendly. I got an espresso martini which was very delicious (just note, it is more on the expensive side, almost the same price as my meal) but it was amazing. Unfortunately, I felt like my food (Bolognese with fettuccine noodles) was lacking. The portion size was great, definitely MORE than enough food for me (enough for 2 meals), but the taste was not was I was expecting. It was quite bland and underwhelming compared to the environment. Overall, this was a good place to visit and I had a good experience, I just wish my food was a bit more flavorful.
We were hungry and thirsty while walking down this street, and decided to eat here. Definitely worth it. They hand made their pasta in front of our eyes, and the sauces were creamy, flavorful, and great portions as well. The place is small, but looked like you stepped into a little bit of Italy. Waiters were incredibly friendly and nice, and served with efficiency. Would come here again, definitely worth it.
Fried Artichoke hearts was a great starter and the garlic aioli was great. Tiramisu was surprisingly dry but not the worst, not enough coffee flavor. Tartufo with fettuccine was the best pasta dish, Anolini Pasticciati filling was flavorless but the sauce was good. Tartufo focaccia was super filling and tasted great but it was really heavy, I didn’t expect so much cheese and sauce. Atmosphere was amazing, food was good, service was all right.
Cute little nice comedy club, entrance was 20$ and we were obligated to order 2 items from the menu, but they were cool if you had one or just water, service was good and the espresso martini was great! The was was ok, some were funny. Would come back for an extra round
I’ve been here a few times for comedy shows and always have a great time. The host, usually a guy named Noah, is hilarious, and the comedians I’ve seen here have all been equally great. I also love the bar outside the theater—it’s very city-chic with exposed brick, and they serve some excellent mocktails.
I had the worst experience. I bought tickets for the 8:00 show. When we arrived, they told us the show was sold out despite the fact that we had already purchased tickets, and asked us to come back at 9:00. When we came back at 9:00, they again told us it was sold out and that we should have arrived at 8:45. I am still waiting for a refund. Very frustrating experience and highly not recommended.
Neat bar in a nice area BUT horrible experience during the afternoon on Halloween. Friends and I (POCs) were waiting at the front of the bar for at least 10 minutes. While the bartenders were busy and made eye contact with us several times, they served every person who came up AFTER us. We tried to get their attention, but they flat out IGNORED us. Mind you we were the only minorities at the bar. Felt completely ostracized and inferior. We ended up leaving with nothing but embarrassment and frustration.
Most awkward show I’ve ever been to. Total of 6 people there including my friend. My friend and I were carrying the show, I even finished one of the comedians punchlines 😭. Seemed very sketchy and unreal, I felt like I was on set of a Seinfeld episode. 90% of the time no one was laughing at the jokes unless we felt the need to fake a laugh to make the awkwardness go away. Felt like we were being held hostage.
